Tata Photon+ number: [protected]
With respect to above mentioned number recharged through e retailer Suvidhaa.com for INR 255.00 on 24th April, after checking from tatadocomo.com which mentions the recharge as 1GB for 30days (Transac. id: [protected]), attached screenshot for your reference you can also check from your website as on today 25/4/13 it mentions same.

Got confirmation for 1GB for 15 days, when complained at call centre the madam refused to take complaint, finally got complaint registered at marol Andheri East company store when i went with all the documents, (service request no. PRRG[protected].

25th April
Instead of receiving the call received sms & email mentioning issue has been resolved without speaking, again when called up at call centre am informed "we tried but couldnt get through to you so it has been resolved" how & what is not mentioned.

The call centre executives are not ready to listen theres problem on website and misleading the customers, instead they keep on harping we know it & we dont want to see it.

So this time complained thru email on [protected]@tatadocomo.com, this time service number PRRG12825516

27th April
Again received call today on 27th April, as usual the complaint is closed without issues being resolved.
Don't understand the company's policy, think just want to close the complaint solved or not is irrelevant. They just keep on saying we are sorry and other apologies but without solving the issue is closed.

    I have seen many people are raising complaints against Tata Docomo that their new SIM has been deactived within months of getting new connection.

    This was happened to me too. I am raising 2 simple questions to Tata Docomo through their call center people, email, email to appallatte authority, but no one dares to respond to these 2 questions.

    My questions are :

    (1) Do they allowed to ACTIVATE a new SIM card without getting documents from the consumer?

    (2) How can they deactivate a SIM card after 2 or 3 months of activation on the basis of non-receipt of SIM cards?

    Any comments?

      AS OF MY PHOTON NO [protected]. Last months my photon bill send me 1340.I regstrd co to customer care for detailed of bill they tell to me send wdn three days till to day dont send this.after every call to customer care no.cant reply properly & hold line abt 10 to 15 minutes.
      Date 26 th april call 4 times to c care.1st talk with shishti 14 mnts,2 nd talk wd aditya 11.35 mnts,3rd talk wd mamta 10.40 mnts,4 th talk surprisly wd again shishti 9.24 mnts but there is no result.

      Tata Photon+ — Wrong billing

      Tata Photon+ has the worst customer service system of any company. anywhere. In a nutshell, Tata Photon & Tata Indicom SUCK ratan tata's little you-know-what.

      Tata Photon — wrong billing

      I had purchased a tata foton + prepaid internet connection last month. The billing system is erratic. Tata foton + provides with an inbuilt software that indicates the user of the total data uploaded and downloaded upon which the billing is ideally to be done. But at the same time the terms and conditions of the company says that billing will be as per the Company's Switch Report. In the first month of my connection I was entitled to 1 gb of free download. But strangely my internet connection got disconnected after 500 mb download (which is half of what the offer was & what was shown by the inbuilt software). Moreover even if I am not using my internet connection I keep receiving alerts on my mobile stating that I am using the internet connection and I have x amount of download available. My question is ...if the company has provided for an inbuilt software to help the users to keep a track of their internet usage, how can it vary to an extent of 500 mb with the switch report of the company. Somebody sitting at the central server of the company's internet billing thinks of overcharging me how can I possibly know? My second question is...how can I be charged for using the internet when I am offine????

      Tata Photon — Wrong Billing

      I purchased Tata Photon Plus on 15th Aug 2010 and same got activated on 16th Aug with the plan 600 Per month @ 2GB Data limit. On 23rd Aug I recevied frist bill from 16.08.2010 to 20.08.2010 and just for 5 days usage they charged me Rs 298 (that too after deducting discount). It is showing Downloaded units as 625 MB and Amount Rs 312.50 which is totally wrong as I have not downloaded this amount of data. Just for 5 days usage with average 1-2 hours per day if we get bill of Rs 300 , they will definitely send next bill with[protected] Rs for whole month. I am planning to cancel this connection. Please do not go for Photon plus else you will get unexpected bills from tata Indicom. We can not calculate data transfer details (upload / download in MB) and hence they take advantage. According to Tata Indicom customer care, even if you refresh page, it will be considered as download. I am sure If i go for 5GB limited plan, they will show more than 8-10 GB and charge accordingly. They just want to extract money with these limited plans by any reason and Photon does not have unlimited plan. My suggestion is, go for any unlimited plan with any service provider.

      i am a retired lady with no pension & no source of income.i went to tata indicom centre on jan 22/1/10 & just wanted to have one simple connection.that agent lured me that by paying only 4000 i will have the connection forever.

      i borrowed the money & paid.

        i recharged my no [protected] with 250 rs... after calling to custmercare... and the told me that this recharge will woke proper in your pc
        (222 talktime ,3G FREE(1GB) + Unlimited 2G for 30 days)..but after recharging it... i m not able to use inernet ...i call to custmercare .... but no proper answer from there...

          Iam tata photon user !

          My Plan was 2GB Data for Rs.450

          on april 22, my bill is appeared to be Rs.1400

          When i asked the customer care employee about this,they said that i used 4GB Extra ..

          But i didnt
          i wasnt even using it


          So please, i want you to look after my bill
          Because i wont not able to pay Rs 1400 which i didnt used..

          Tata Photon — Over charging

          I placed a request on 12th March'12 to permanently disconnect my Tata Photone Tata Data device number [protected]. As per an e-mail from them on Monday, 2 April, 2012, 12:09 PM from Maninder Kaur was supposed to pay Rs 429 for my full and final settlement. I made a payment of Rs 430, which they have confirmed.

          But now they are asking to py Rs 101 more.

          I have a copy of all the e-mails.

            Dear sir,

            I have used Tata Docomo (earlier Tata Indicom) basic telephone service and internet during my stay in Hyderabad from a period of[protected]. My account no[protected], address where the connection installed was Begumpet.

            While leaving Hyderabad I personally went to the service centre (which is near Begumpet) and settled all the dues and handed over the phone set to them. I also got no dues receipt from them.

            Now, I have got email from Tata Docomo dated 15th March 2013, stating legal will be taken against me for non payment of outstanding bills against this account. Final settlement was to be done by 26th March 2013.

            What I am not able to understand is -
            1. How come suddenly I am getting legal notice from Tata after 5 years
            2. When I have paid all the dues why I am being harassed. ( Below is the email from tata customer service indicating no dues in my account)

            TaTa communication limited — Payment harassments false notices

            Dear Sir/ madam

            We have discontinued Tata, broadband services on 1/8 /2009 The person of the company my all bills were clear. Service person from tata has come and taken the modem and discontinued the service. After six month of long time I got notice from tata ur bills r due and sending leagal notices from Mehul vakhariya associates advocates. My payments are clear and I have never received any call from TaTa communication.I doubt this must be some false notice.Pl. do check and inform tata communication limited.

            TaTa communication limited — non-working of internet connection

            my name is umesh kumar R/o - Rz-357 karan vihar-1 gali no.-6 kirari extn delhi- 86. i have taken the tata indicom broadband unlimited plan connection on 8 jan 2012. but the day after inastallation the problem starts and since than my internet does not work at all. i have contacted their customer service no. of times but they did not respond over the complain. they always respond that with within 24 hrs your problem will be resolved but it never happen.

              I Have enclosed the trail mail with all the follow up with Tata Docomo but no solution to my problem is yet provide.
              In sort i have purchased a Tata Docomo 3G doggle which is not providing network coverage at my residence and trying my best to get the problem resolved but Tata Docomo is not provide a solution for the same nor are they taking the device back and refunding my money back.

                Applied for Mobile number portability from Vodafone service provider to Tata Docomo on 6th April 2013. On 18th 2013 April Vodafone Service provider disconnected thee connection after approving Mobile number portability. But after this Tata Docomo service provider didn't connected their service. Complained to thee TATA DOCOMO through Mail only as their Customer care is always busy of not receiving calls.
                Complained to thee Authority on 21st April 2013 Still they haven't solved thee problem. For which I am suffering a lot without having my regular number.

                  Complaint regarding unfair Balance deduction of Rs.62.30 on 23/04/2013 at around 9.30am.

                  It has happened for third time now. Last time after complaint with Docomo & National Consumer forum my Rs 7.60 were refunded to my Account. That time I was having 5MB data left in my account, but still for data uses my main account Balance was deducted. So up till now Rs. 32, Rs. 8 & Rs.62 has been deducted by DoCoMo using same tricks.
                  On 23/04/2013 I checked my main Account Balance it was Rs.62.37 & data balance was around 12Mb. I started browsing internet. As having last bad experience, I have developed the habit of checking Data balance after every 3-5 minutes. Just for check I dialed *111*1# & it showed me 1.70MB balance left. I immediately disconnected the Net. Still it shows 1.70Mb data balance left on 24/04/2013. Validity of this pack is 26/04/2013. I recharged for Rs.150 now my balance is Rs.150.07 but still could not understand where the Rs.62.30 gone.
                  What was shocking my main Account Balance which was Rs.62.37 automatically became Rs. 0.07. And I don’t know even where, how & why my Rs.62.30 was deducted. Now these companies have to pay penalty of 2G, so companies are recovering it from customers by unfair balance deduction, starting unwanted services, charging for the non activated services. I contacted customer care on 198 immediately around 10am but service executive was unable to give details. After that I tried 198 about 30-35 times but could not connect to the executive. Even I tried to reach by[protected] & many other options but before I could connect to the executive, my phone was automatically got disconnected every time. I complained the same on 24/04/2013 where, a service executive placed me on hold for 20-23 minutes in morning & disconnected. I tried my level best to bring to the notice of company authorities as early as possible.
                  Unfortunately to get read off Idea & Uninor I changed my 2 connections to Docomo, but the experience is same here. I have already registered my complaint at National Consumer Helpline & reference no is 456309. Soon will be complaining it to nodal officers of Docomo if my Rs.62.30 is not refunded to my Account. I accept if my data balance had become 0 & after that I have browse the net, company has right to charge me 10paise for 10kb from main balance. But not at that time when I have 1.70Mb data balance left in my account. One very worst thing soon I will be mailing to TRAI, that all the companies do not sms or inform customer when data balance become zero or pack expires. They inform it second day, so that simply they can loot at 10paise at 10kb.
                  I request the company officers to immediately refund amount of Rs.62.30 to my account as like for same complaint about Rs.8 were credited after complaining. Very seriously thinking to shift to Airtel if same experience continues in future...

                          no. [protected] using this no. For 4 years, things were satisfactory but now have turned worst. Yesterday 60 rs. Deducted from my balance without my permission & company felt no concerns to return back the deducted amount. Worst customer care service as i had to call 4 times to the agents & for every time i paid 50 paise for a call,1st time agent told that he is not having any info. Regarding this & requested to call after 4 hours next time there was a new guy who made me annoyed as after listening whole thing made my no. On hold & since than no sort of conversation was possible as every time cust. Care lines were busy,i feel pitty seeing the way tata company wants to earn the money as there might be many guys like me who are just fed up of fake promises by agents of tata docomo & delay in results ,if this problem persists i will switch to a new network ,what best can be done for my problem & to avoid any such future problems.

                          Idea — Worst Customer Care/Delayed Service

                          I have made internet recharge of 47 Rs. on 15-Jul-12, but service has not been activated even after 12 hrs. I have made at least 7-10 Calls to Idea Customer Care/ Tech Support but nobody was able to help me till now. Sometimes CSR has dropped the call instead of serving his customer. It is first time that i m not happy with Idea Customer care (as i hav been Idea customer since 2007) I m feeling very frustrated and wish to get this issue resolved.

                            . I’m a BlackBerry phone user. You might be aware of the fact that BlackBerry and iPhones are ill reputed for their poor network reception (if you don’t believe me, you can Google for it) and so is with my phone. Let me tell you that I’m located in a colony and within it, only BSNL network is active. My whole friend circle owns a BlackBerry and two of them have an iPhone. They are subscribed to BSNL network as it has strongest network within the colony. So network reception ultimately good in their BlackBerry & iPhones. I’ve bought BlackBerry a month ago and I’ve been suffering from poor network reception since then. Earlier I was with Vodafone network and the network reception never went more than 1 bar. In major time, the reception remains in emergency (SOS) mode. Hence I filed a complaint for the same but it seems that they’ve nothing to do with the concern of their customers. They just kept giving me date after date and no result. After being embarrassed for 14 days, I planned to switch to DOCOMO network. Let me describe a case before. I tried using my DOCOMO SIM (Mobile #[protected]) with the handset and found DOCOMO network is stable on 1 bar for most of the time but it also goes to emergency mode many times. So I filed a complaint for the same and the executives assured me that my problem will be solved in few days. Actually I filed the complaint on 27/03 and got the response on 29/03 which was quite impressive. I loved the way you treated my complaint and the lightening fast response. This attracted me and was the main reason why I ported to your network from Vodafone. Anyways, on 29/03, your network team admitted that the location of tower and the point where I reside have a distance of 520m and that’s why the network quality weakens reaching at my home. They also admitted that I’m not the only one who is facing the problem but other civilians are also facing the same problem mainly in the indoors. Yes the fact was true. Even my Dad faces dropped calls and data services sometimes in the indoors although he’s using Nokia Lumia 610 Handset. They also added that they had tried to do some transmutation in the network and so the reception should increase. And yes it did. Reception on my BlackBerry increased from 1 to 2 stable bars. But then also it wasn’t enough because at the time of calling someone, I’ve to try 5-6 times and sometimes at the time of call, reception goes to 0 bars and thereby dropped call. I would like to mention that earlier I wanted to switch to any CDMA network in my area but I later become aware to the fact that TATA has closed down its CDMA tower in my area. I really don’t know the reason! And now only Reliance CDMA was the only option. Since I had never used Reliance before, I kept it in an option. After having a lot of taunt, I applied for MNP to switch from Vodafone to DOCOMO network. After the successful porting, I went on my nerves when the network reception remained intact. Still I was getting 2 stable bars with dropped calls. Leave out DATA usage!
                            I again tried ringing customer care but every day I was told the same thing that some work is going on (I guess alterations) in the tower...But still I haven’t noticed any improvement in the network quality. I’m afraid that I will have to use Vodafone again after 3 months when the limit of porting ends. It’s because if I have to get dropped calls then why shouldn’t I use Vodafone? It has coverage in most of the areas where DOCOMO is yet to reach. So it’s my folded hand request from you that please try to look into this matter and take out the necessary steps. Either-
                            Improve the network qualities for indoors
                            -Setup a new tower nearby the colony
                            -Try to start the CDMA network.
                            It’s not only for me…it’s for all who fail to make calls from indoors. My friends are also interested to switch to DOCOMO network because the call rates are cheaper than that of BSNL and additionally the BlackBerry plans are also cheaper in DOCOMO. They use BlackBerry Internet service & messenger while for me, it’s just like a golden opportunity. I’m writing this to you because I’m fed-up from calling customer care repeatedly and always listening to their same excuse of some work going on. I don’t know will this work ever end up in this decade! I'm now regretting for porting from Vodafone to DOCOMO!

Now again on 14.12.2011 they have deducted Rs.30/- and after request they are saying it will not be refunded.

                                i purchase this phone but i didn't get benefit of rs.1500
                                when i ask to docomo for that they told me to wait 72 hours for get that offer then after 72 hours they tell that you will not get offer because you have not sent a message smart to 52121 within 48 hours of sim activation. first they not tell to send message then How can i send msg within 48 hours while you say that you will get benefit within 72 hours. And now you are telling that you have not maintain combination of sim and phone while i have not inserted any other sim..
                                during this tyme they have many time tell me to visit docomo store and i have visited 4 store in my city but thye all reply that we can not give offer.

                                Tata Docomo — Not Give Talk Time Offer

                                Tata Docomo offer me recharge Rs. 38 for call reduce promo for validity 3 months. all local call 1p/2s but every day 1st call 1st minute 1p/1s. and get Rs. 19 Talk time free with in 4 day's after recharge. I have accept this offer in 13th january 2012. but today till now Rs. 19 talk time I have not get. Please me the solution.

                                    i did a recharge of rs 26 successfully which gave 600MB of data for a validity of seven days. it worked fine for the first day , next day it completely stopped working. i called customer care care he asked to create apn once again and restart my phone. i did same but interent was still not working. soon after 2 mins a message pops up "you have unsubscribed from GPRS".
                                    my internet got deactivated by itself. now that i am willing to reactivate it , no customer care is answering the phone cal , each and every time i get busy message and are asked to mail my complain at [protected]@tatadocomo.com , while no one responses there ever.

                                      I have faced a worst scenario with TATA DOCOMO. I used to have a rate cutter of Rs.28. Once the validity of the booster is getting expired. The provider has sent a message for the renewal procedure of 28 booster. They mentioned *121*227#. When I activated it. Rs 27 booster was activated. This is not my mistake. When I asked the customer rep he simply said you have made a mistake. I got frustrated and tried to move to another provider. I got a call from DoCoMo rep and she said she ll be reducing the Tarrif and make steps to refund the 27 rs. I said fine. Its about a month I dint get that amount. When I call to the rep and asked for status he said we cant do any thing. Not only this. Today I have sent a mail from my mobile through tata DoCoMo interner services. They have charged 70 rs. I have used 7.20 MB. Communication in india is that costly?? I feel ashamed to say that I am also a TATA EMPLOYEE

                                      Unnecessarely thet caharge the customer like u have been charge Rs 49 for data usage even though no internet surfing is done, and sometimes service reply comes like last call cost is 80 paisa etc. And they are not informing to the customer also for what perpose they charge it. Very cheating company.
                                      that's true tata dacomo have the worst service in the telecom industry. like i have opted for the DND services but still i receive regular calls / msg . even there nodal officer is so reluctant to take any action. my advice to all plz dont use tata docomo network.
