Hi,

I am very much disappointed with TATA Docomo service. My contact number is [protected].My out going call had been barred.Even my net is not working from past five days though i have net offer and balance. i have submitted All documents.

Then also i m not able to make outgoing calls, Every day i am calling to customer care but i am not getting any resolution. every time they tell within 24 hour it will be activated .

its showing call barring. Customer told me to go to retailer shop.
So many times I went to retailer shop, they have called/sent email to customer care.
Then also my problem is not resolved. Still I am facing problem. Not able to make out going. I guess its a technical problem. They are not forwarding my call to technical department.

When ever i call customer care is they telling that, my out going call is activated. But still i m facing problem. I want a permanent solution.

Please help me to fix my problem as soon as possible.

      I was sent the following notice on email by Tata Docomo for photon plus connection that was deactivated after payment of all outstanding payments more than 2 months back. In spite of repeated requests to deactivate the connection, I was called by a number of representatives from Tata Docomo offering me different plans to continue with the connection. I kept saying no as I didn't need the connection but they disagreed to deactivate the connection on time. I paid all the outstanding bills when I made the request to cancell my connection. Tata photon still generated this bill as they delayed the cancellation from their side. This is consumer harassment by sending a legal notice to scare the consumer and forcing them to pay for services they never asked for. Request you to please help me with my complaint. I read about a number of such consumer harassment cases against Tata photon. I believe we should all take a legal action against the company.

Pursuant thereto you have been utilizing the telephone services provided by our client.



      3. We have been instructed to state that, while availing the said Telecommunication facility, you have covenanted to abide by the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of our clients. As against the above understanding and as per records maintained by our client, you have discontinued your payment and hence the outstanding in your account is Rs:633/-



      4. We have been instructed to state that, our client have sent the said relevant invoice / bill in respect of the said amount had been sent to you. Despite repeated requests, reminders and notices from our client, you have failed and neglected to pay the said amount to our client till this date, Thus you have committed breach of terms and conditions of the said Customer Application Form. You have deliberately and with a malafide intention to illegally enrich you, have withheld the payments, which are lawfully due to our client.



      5. Hence, you are hereby called to pay the said outstanding amount of Rs:633/-along with interest that is due and payable to our clients with respect to the usage, rentals etc., of the said telephone/Broadband, within 7 date receipt of this notice, failing which our client will be constrained to initiate appropriate legal action, both civil and criminal under the various provisions of Indian Penal Code, against you for recovery of the said amount along with interest @ 24% per annum, holding you liable for all costs and consequences arising thereof.

      Exactly the same thing has happened to me. I feel so helpless sometimes. What they can do is they file a civil case in a permanent lok adalat( at max) if you ignore the letter. Judge will decide what has to be done there. Either you will pay or there will be a settlement.

      The problem is if you do not know the local language, you will have tough time there. Secondly you have to waste both time and money. I don't even have sufficient proof that I have called the customer care on earlier dates for closing this connection. So no point in going, rather pay, comeback home pay little more to buy one quarter rum.

      This something similar to the case, when you have parked your vehicle in the proper parking area yet the towing vehicle takes your vehicle saying it was parked in the no parking zone. But companies like Tata should not do this. Unfortunate and Sad.

      I even have decided not to use any Tata products, not to work with any Tata group of companies... this is all I can do(apart from using very few great words)

      Tomorrow I am going to get a new BSNL sim card as well, and I make sure that I burn the existing Tata Docomo sim card that I have.

      Same thing with me, long back had cancelled the connection after paying all the dues but still continued to got calls from TATA photon customer care. Its their mistake of not deactivating the connection when it was requested. Its a worse harassment of customers.

      Complaint against tata docomo

      I had got my tata photon number [protected] deactivated and got a service request number which I have[protected]. After clearing the prior bill they deactivated my number. After one month I got one more bill when i had not used their photon for 2 months. Now after having this explained so many times to their agents on phone, they have sent me some lok adalat notice.

      I am planning to hire the best of lawyer and sue for defamation and mental harrassment by tata docomo. I have my friends who specialize in various fields of law and I will ensure this time I dont leave these guys for harassing me.

      I also received a legal notice form tata-docomo about my tata photo which I paid my last bill in jul2009 and requested for closer.They offer different options but I rejected .They proposed thee below options
      1)safe custody
      2)prepaid
      I rejected thee proposals and requested to disconnect.

      There hadn't send any confirmation on discontinuing thee services.

      After a long time theere was a call from Delhi around sept2012 stating theere is due of 2300 wrt tata-photon usage.
      Today I went to theree different level of offices here in Hyderabad theey confirmed thee due and also confirmed theere is no usage of broad band by me after jul2009.They requested to pay 2300 and close thee case.I didn't understand why should I pay withe out using thee services even after requesting to disconnect thee service in jul 2009.I started searching web and found many cases like theis.Tata group or middle layer is smartly using thee loop holes in theis business.Just imaginee a 100 victims like me theey will make 200, 000...if multiplied by 10..2000000 rupees...across India just imagine if theey just target 100x100 customers theey can make crones.Please trai take some action and dig into theis crime and save us..many of my friends advised pay thee due and get rid of theis...but I want to raise my voice by joining withe you all my brotheers and sisters.

      my account no is[protected] i got tata photon in my company plan and some terms that card is free and also i will use service for 6 months .but after 15 days o[censored]sage i was having spped of 4-10 kbps.i am getting the bill even i am already not using tata photon from last 3-4 months when customer care told me that in my area i will get 4 kbps speed even they promised for 3.1 mbps that time i told him to disconnect me now after 3-4 months what is the logic of bill when i paid for 2 months advance and used 1.5 months.now they are asking for 4600 .so overall they are asking me to pay 1800+4600 = 6400 for 1.5 moth with 4 kbps speed.this is and and now they are giving me justification that according to my plan i can not opt out before 6 moths even if they provide me worse service. .
      i need answer why you are following the policy of 6 moths plan when you can not follow your policy for 31.mbps speed.
      why did not you disconnect at that time when i told them.
      how can you charge people when you forced them to move out.

      Hi,
      I had a similar problem before. I was overcharged for my Tata Photon connection and I had sent numerous complaints. Finally, I went to the Consumer Forum in Bangalore. It was the best decision I took. Within 2-3 hearings, I won the case and Tata was forced to pay damages for consumer harassment. In fact they refused to pay for some time and my lawyer was able to get an arrest order from the court for non-compliance. Once the police entered their premises, they immediately sent me the cheque and doubly confirmed that I had received it.

      My advise to everyone facing such problems is: please don't let these companies take you for a ride. We have great protection in the form of the Consumer Protection Act and it is upto us citizens to properly utilize it and keep these companies on their toes.

      Ironically, I am going to start fighting another case with Docomo this time, lets see how it goes.

      I had availed the Tata docomo photon connection in 2011 with corporate plan of 7000ARP(annual renewal plan). This is a prepaid connection and services are provided only once I recharge the account. So Later I have recharged the service in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Later stopped using as the device is broken and service was utter waste and then I left out of country. Now in 2014 after my service period, I did not recharge further and so ideally the connection has been terminated. Now Tata docomo has billed me with 7980/- for the service without any request or recharge and started to send me legal notice.
      I have replied to all the email recieved but there is no response.One fine day a lady(lawyer) called me and informed me that its tata docomo fault and they will waive the amount. But the legal notice did not stop and it started to become threatening.
      My question here is who will understand the reason from customer? My dad work as CFO for voltas, Tata group. He is also ashamed on the behaviour of TATA.
      Dear Tata Docomo customer care, there is no reply to the emails nor the person mentiones in the legal notice respond to phone calls. Now whom should the customer contact??

        I registered on DND and am still getting about 20 messages a day from tata docomo about their "new" offers which i do NOT want. Please tell me how I can stop it. My number is [protected].

        Do not ever ask me to call customer care. I'm not fluent in Hindi and i do not speak Marathi and the customer care is full o[censored]neducated people who cannot speak or understand one word of English. The worst customer care i have ever faced.

          I am using a Docomo connection ([protected]). This number was ported from another connection to docomo 1+ year back. The main reason I ported to docomo was because I was a offered a sms plan of 100sms for 60ps, ie first sms at 60ps and 99 free of cost . This plan was said to be a part of the sim and I did not have to do any special kind of recharge to have this plan. I had been using this sms plan for the past 1+ years. Now today when I tried to sms, each sms is being charged 60ps which means I am no longer getting sms plan which is said to be a part of the docomo sim. This plan was the sole reason why I was sticking to docomo connection all these time. I need to get back the sms plan-60ps for 100sms; Pls do the necessary steps to make sure that I get back the old sms plan as I do not want to do any special kind of recharge for sms packs.

            Dear Sir,

            One of the Tata Photon numbers that I cancelled in August 2012 is [protected] (account number [protected], bill number [protected]). Would like to apprise that not only I have received confirmation / cancellation e-mail from the TATA but also retention call. I explicitly refused to continue availing TATA photon services. I have now received another bill with “churn out” charges for one of the cancelled photon connection. Expecting another bill for lost card soon as making customers disappointed and mislead them has become their habit.

            Would like to mention that nothing of this sort was mentioned in the introductory letters I received. I find it unjustified and need your help to resolve the issue.

            Billing amount for cancelled data card is 1685 and billing period is Sept 3rd, - Oct 2nd, 2012 (August I cancelled it). Since I’d already requested for cancelling both of the data cards (in August) and made the payment on pro-rata basis, in first week of September, wasn’t expecting any further bills. When checked with TATA photon on Oct 13th, they told this bill has been sent by mistake and I can ignore it; also query would be resolved by Oct 16th (Ticket number[protected]. I did not get any call from them and then had to call them myself.

            Yesterday, when I called them again, I have been told that recently they have introduced “churn out” charges and I will have to pay for cancelled connections (Ticket No.[protected]. I am expecting soon they will be sending me another bill for lost data card with churn out charges. In total, will have to pay closed to Rupees 3500 even when I have not used them / after cancellation request.

            To give a little background, I bought TATA photon corporate connection through my wife. Unfortunately, within a week of its purchase, I lost it somewhere. I called TATA photon representative and reported the same. When asked, was told by photon representative that they will block the data card and have recorded my request. Was also told that there is no further action required from my end and there won’t be any billing. After couple of weeks, we bought another photon corporate connection.

            I received my first bill after two months of connection date which I paid on time. However, to my surprise, I got another (2nd bill, next week) bill which they had sent for the data card I’d lost. When checked with them, I was told that since I didn’t e-mail them about lost data card, they have not cancelled it and billing won’t stop. I don’t understand what is the purpose of having a customer care unit when queries can’t be resolved online and cancellation requests can’t be recorded and no action is taken. I was explicitly told NO e-mail is required by TATA photon representative. Do we actually need to send e-mail when confirmation has been given by TATA representative?

            Before taking decision about cancellation, I e-mailed TATA photon and shared the whole story. I mentioned about lost data card and the bill amount I paid for the same. Height of shamelessness is that neither they acknowledged that it’s their mistake and they should waive it off nor called me to understand what my concern is. I paid two bills for data card I’d lost and another two bills for the one I’d later bought. I intended to close this chapter peacefully and without any second thought and made the payment for lost card.

            Eventually, my conscience and pocket doesn’t allow me to pay any more bills now. I have all the e-mails with me where TATA photon has confirmed there won’t be any future billing and this chapter is closed.

            Kindly, register my request and let me know if more inputs are required from my end. I can not only send all possible evidence to support my claims but also share another e-mails which will prove how TATA customer care executives torture customers with their weird answers and carelessness.

            SIR PLEASE HELP ME I HAD REQUESTED TO TERMINATE MY NO. IN AUG 2008
            BUT THEY SENDING ME BILLS LAST I WAS OPPRESSED TO PAY 500 RS. SO I GAVE THEM A CHEQUE BUT DUE TO LOW BALANCE I CALLED THEM TO RECEIVE CASH FROM ME .
            AFTER THAT THEY COMPLAINT TO COURT AGAINST ME THIS MONTH THEY WANT 1500 RS.

            Expecting to hear from you soon. My experience is I'v never heard anything from TATA photon, don't know how you manage your TAT (Turn Around Time. Recent example are the ticket numbers given to me on 13th, and 16th (number given with my complain). Have got no phone call from TATA photon as usual.

            Feeling mentally harassed, will take leagal action if this is not resolved on time or I get more bills.
            Its been two days and still there is no response. Thanks for giving me all possible opportunities to take some action.
            Another three days and yet no response..Good job TATA photon, height of carelessness.

                  “My 3G pack Got deactivated on 12 of this month and on the very night i was having Rs 310 as the main balance. And on 14th night before going to bed i checked that it was the same and yesterday night when I checked my balance i was having Rs 17 as my balance so i called costumer care and there some one took the call i asked him regarding my problem he started explaining me regarding my recharge and all then i asked this is my concern and he told that he is transferring the call to the senior and i was on line for 15 odd minutes. after that again i called back to costumer care and the told that the system is not updated and we dont have any record. This is really Not i expected for tele giant hope my problem will be taken care off soon. As we are common public and this kind of things are common but this things are not accepted.”

                  What shall I say regarding this they are saying that I have used the main balance for 3G data on 11th and I have explained earlier it was deactivated on 12th of this month.

                    I am a docomo user ([protected]) from DWARKA NAGAR (BANGALORE).
                    For your kind information i would like to inform you that your deactivated service CRIONE (HUWWAP) got activated again. How the hell it has happened again. From 11th October it is deducting Rs. 2 on daily basis.
                    and somthing called "PODCAST ON OVERVIEW OF ARCHTECTURE AS CAREER FOR Rs. 15" got activated on 9th October by deducting Rs. 15.

                    I want my my money back and you never returned my money for unwanted activation. If this continues i won't have any choice to leave this service.

                      I have been using Tata Docomo since august and my no is [protected]. Service (TA_NETWAP) has been activated automatically with out my confirmation and RS.2 is being charged everyday for past 10days.

                      I want my amount back and i dont want these services. I called 5 to 7 times customer care regarding this. They said service will be deactivated followed by a confirmation message. After that no confirmation message is received but rs.2 is being continuously deducted.

                      I called tollfree (155223) also to deactivate this service. But i got message that no such service is activated and again rs.2 is being deducted..

                      Kindly Deactivate TA_NETWAP from my no. as soon as possible

                        Tata docomo activated a service called channel 99 on my number [protected] on 2 october 2012 and deduce 10.0 rupees from my account. That service was useless for of so i immediately deactivated it by calling 155223. Reply came "your request has been accepted and your service will be deactived. but on 15 october. Tata docomo renewed that channel 99 service and again deduced 10.0 rupees. So Tata docomo please please please deactivate that service and kindly refund my deducted balance

                          I am using Tata Docomo no: [protected] with the latest 3G pack of Rs. 250 per month. Under this plan Tata Docomo claim that 3G data is completely free for unlimited usage. But the biggest issue is that without informing me or without my confirmation they activate their add-on services. Few services which they activated without my information was:
                          - Data Charges for surfing Internet - Rs. 50 (when data is free, how can they charge me for the same)
                          - How to become an LIC agent. - Charging me Rs. 30 ( I work for an IT MNC; why would I want to become a LIC agent)
                          and many other services. today, even without making any call from this no. I am left with only Rs. 60 as my balance against Rs. 215 which I got initially.

                          Later when I complain at the Customer Care Center, they ask me to go to Tata Docomo outlet and inquire. when I go there they ask me to call the Customer Care Center. Now when I am trying to call the customer care, my call is kept on hold and I am unable to get this through.

                          Please help me get this cleared from Tata Docomo.

                            Hi, this is Ankit Goyal. Few days back I had applied for a new Tata Docomo Postpaid connection from a person called Yadnyesh(Tata Docomo representative-[protected]) at my office. I applied for Rs.1299 unlimited plan. At the time of giving the sim card he collected Rs.850 from me as security deposit and did not present a receipt for it saying that I will get a receipt on my email after the activation of the number. As address proof document, I had provided the copy of Electricity Bill of the flat where I stay as I stay in a rented flat along with a copy of my Passport, Company ID card and PAN card. 2 days later I got a call from a Tata Docomo representative for address verification. After I told him about the address of where I stay and where I work, he said that I will be getting another call within 2 days for verification after which he hung up the call. After waiting for around 3 days, I called up the person who had initially called me for verification. He informed me that my Postpaid form has been rejected as the address was incorrect in the Electricity bill. After explaining him thoroughly again, he again said that I will be getting another call within 2 days for verification. But even after waiting for 4 days, I did not receive any verification call, and when I called him up and asked him again then he said the same thing again that my Postpaid form has been rejected as the address was incorrect in the Electricity bill.
                            On asking for the refund of the security deposit of Rs.850, he said that he can't do anything for that and I need to contact some higher authorities in Tata Docomo.
                            I am still waiting for my sim to get activated or the refund of the 850Rs.
                            Please help!!

                              Hi, I have bought my Tata Docomo number before 1 year ago and I had use it for 1 year but as per my business trip have to go out of state for 2 months and during that months I rarely do transaction and mine Docomo number is activate but its SIM card is not working so I have contact company center for the same and they told me to buy new SIM for the same number and which I did. But as per they said my new card is activate within one day but after one day time I try to on my mobile at that time it show this error message that SIM card registration is failed.

                              So, please let me know what that message want to say for my SIM.
                              And my number having enough fund in balance that thing also said by you company representative.

                                It is a fraud/scam by tata docomo of rs 250 recharge(full TT + unilimited 3g). I think they should stop advertising about it. It is fraud, they will never give unlimited 3G. I did recharge couple of days back, I got full TT, but not internet.even customer care wont connect. So, this is cheating. Also, when I activated Rs 5 3G out of frustration, It took out all my Rs 250. Now I am left with 0 balance. Please refund my 250 rs. My number is [protected].
                                Also, look at the amount of money docomo is making(millions) because of this fraud and I think all consumers should go to court on this.

                                Tata Docomo — Scam,fraud message

                                I participated in Tata Docomo's 'vijayathinte mani naadam' program by senting 'ticket' message to 52121 on[protected].
                                They reply me my ticket code and sent win to 52121 in each houre for winner detailes.after some time,they sent a message that telling I won a free dialer tone for 15 days free of cost.and a toll free number to select song.
                                When I select a song,they deducted 30 rupees from my account.when I contact customer support,they told that only song downloading is free.
                                Can I file a complaint against the company for misunderstanding and incompleet advertaisments and messagings..?

                                100% SUPPORT as i am also a victim of the same scheme and have lost all my balance. they have activated unnecessary services on my no. without my confirmation. when I made the complain, they say that it was data charges. i ask how can they charge for Data when the plan itself says that Unlimited 3G Data.

                                I have decided not recharge my docomo sim until I get back back Rs 250. Acutally I have lost more, (Rs 150 + Rs 50 last week). Customer care is the worst thing in tata docomo. I dont think they will refund. Better to throw the SIM and switch to some other carrier. The above messages are from customer care are just eyewash.
                                I think you are right about the Customer Care Reply... Its all fake...

                                    Hello, My name is Bhavin Solanki, I'm from surendranagar. My mobile service provider is TATA DOCOMO, I'm using it since more then 2 years. When I bought the sim card, thee call rate plans were- 1 paisa per second to other, and 1paisa per 6 seconds to docomo. Recently I found that they are charging me with 1 paisa per second even for docomo to docomo calls. I lost my balance so quickly before couple of day so tried to check 3 calls' duration and charge. I found that two calls of them were charged as rate of 1 paisa per 4 second, and one call was charged 1 paisa per 1 second. I have found this instability many time I didn't have any proper proof. I have saved this sms this time and I have the proof. When I tried to complaint over their website they told me there is no problem with call rates. I tried to get support from their customer care number, I tried so many times but they did not help me. They said I have 1 paisa per second plan from the beginning, and 1 paisa per second was my benefit. That's all they are saying. I haven't done any special recharge or plan or anything. Sometimes they are charging me 1paisa per second, sometimes 1 paisa per 4 seconds, and sometimes 1 paisa per 6 seconds. I am talking about all tata docomo to tata docomo calls. Not about other.
                                    When I asked them to send me 100 calls list of duration and charge they refused me, and told me if I want to know call duration and charges I have to active a service by paying. But even that will not inform me about my pas calls. I am 100% sure my call rates are not proper, they are charging me with different and costly rates without informing me. They disconnected my call when I asked for support.
                                    Please help me, I am sure they have done fraud to me. and I have proof for one of them. I want to know charge of at least 100 calls done before 12 October.
                                    I have tried their live chat support, email support and call support. All of them are avoiding me. Please help.

                                    Hello, I just received a call from your customer care executive, they gave me 5rs back in my balance. He said that I buddy net plan was stopped in my sim, while I haven't done anything like that, it stopped by your mistake. And 4sec per paisa calls still makes no sense and you have no explanation on how it happened. I have lost a lot more then 5rs though, now that you have given me back the plan i used to have, i will consider this solved.

                                        I have received the message about Rs250 unlimited 3G recharge atleast 20 times in the past two weeks,so i finally got my self one on 9th oct online.I immediately the balance credited in my main account which stood at Rs283 after the recharge and message saying the 3g pack has been activated.I called up the customer care and requested them for manual settings as mine is android,cc people asked me to use the same settings.So i started using it then after 15 mins my balance went down to Rs0,i was shocked.So i tried calling CC again but in DOCOMO you can call the CC only once in a day after which they block your call. So i decided to go to CC myself,please note there is just 1 in whole of Bangalore with 8 counters and only 3 functioning between 1-3pm.I was made to wait for over 2 hours for my turn and when it finally came CC executive was very rude and impolite.He finally took down my complaint and said it will be resolved in 24 hours. But after two days my account was just credited with just Rs100 and no 3g pack(dont know on what basis this was done).i tried calling up the CC again but they have blocked all my calls.I just didnt want to go there again as i truely tested my patience.I dont understand why DOCOMO people lure people with such schemes when all they want to do is dupe people.This attitude by TATA DOCOMO headed by a big corporate group like TATA is uncalled for. I hope you please look into the matter and resolve it at the earliest
