Sir,

I am Ravi Kumar, who is a customer of TATADOCOMO for the past three years. My mobile No is [protected]. Initially the subscription was of prepaid. I have migrated to postpaid in the month of May 2012, by selecting online. Then some body has come from a franchisee and gave a SIM. I paid him Rs.900/-.In the month of July 2012, my services were stopped for three days from 12th to 14th. When I asked the clarification from customer care, they have not given any response and suggested to pay the bill which was due on 24th July. Then, I paid the bill and got my services restored. Meanwhile, I came to know that my services were stopped because my cheque was not honoured which was given towards security deposit. I have not given any cheque till date to TATADOCOMO.Then, I lodged a complaint requesting the cheque details and franchisee details. Till date, I could not get any resolution from TATADOCOMO.

Recently, on 1st August, I have submitted all the relevant documents to TATADOCOMO showroom near Indira Nagar BDA Complex (Opp: Punjab National Bank), along with Rs.150/- for notary fees for Change of Address. The guys at the showroom assured me that my new address will be effective from 7th of August. Again, on 16th September I visited the showroom.Then also they assured that it will be done within 48hrs. But, till date nothing has been done. When I lodged a complaint, the customer care suggests me to visit the showroom once again.How many times I have to visit showroom by leaving my work? Will there be any control over these people? Please find the attached reply from your customer care. I can also submit all the correspondences for your perusal. Finally, I request for a resolution. As per advise/reply from you, I will proceed for an appropriate action.

The questions to TATADOCOMO from me:
On 7th of August, we were present at home and your executive has given a wrong intimation. I can submit legal proofs for that if they want.
1) I took another Tatadocomo Connection with No [protected] on 1st August. I have submitted the same documents for that connection also.
When that was verified and cleared for subscription, why not this old number can be verified?
2) When my new address has to come into effect from 6th of August (Start of new billing cycle, which was given by TATADOCOMO Showroom), why your person has visted on 7th, why not before that?
3) Has he visited again even after two months?-NO
4) Has he called me , if he could not reach me?-NO
5) Did I get any SMS intimation for the failure of verification?-NO
This is the proof for their fraudulent action.

    I recharged my Tata Photon prepaid online with Rs.255, which promised me of 21GB data. But when i actually recharged, only 1.5GB were added. When contacted customer care, they told me its a mistake within their site which they are about to rectify. The official link for online recharge is http://www.tatadocomo.com/online-recharge.aspx

      I have opted for Tata Docomo post-paid mobile services in the month of Aug 2012 (seems to me like biggest mistake of my life) just because I was not provided the option of Mobile Number Portability to a Tata Docomo pre-paid service by Tata Docomo outlet situated in Pimpri-Pune, the reason provided to me was that on a daily basis they do MNP for only 1 or 2 pre-paid connections & they do not have more pre-paid kits available for my MNP request, so for getting pre-paid connections via MNP I will have to wait for some days whereas Post-Paid connections are immediately available (my bad I opted for Post-Paid). My mobile number is [protected] & my Tata Docomo account number is[protected]. Below mentioned are the issues that I am facing right now using Tata Docomo Post Paid connection: -

      FYI I have tried seeking assistance from Tata Docomo customer care # 121 also I tried seeking assistance from the Tata Docomo outlet situated at Aakurdi, Pune (on a call) but got no help. Today I have written an email to [protected]@tatadocomo.com for below issues but I realy do not have much hope so I am writting this complaint here.

      1) My current credit limit for my Tata Docomo Post-paid connection was set for Rs.1300 by the company itself however, as per my latest conversation Tata Docomo customer care department, my total usage is gone beyond 4000 Rs. (in the span of just 25 days because since 26th Sep2012, my outgoing services are barred till date) Please note that on 13th of Sep on my call with Tata Docomo customer care department I was told that if my usage will cross the credit limit of Rs.1300 my outgoing services will be disconnected, which was never happened until my usage amount reached to more than Rs.4000. I am really unable to understand that despite the credit limit being set to Rs.1300 how my service usage can go beyond Rs.4000. I have not received any clarification from the company yet & my outgoing facility is still barred.

      2) My Tata Docomo post-paid service was started from 1st of Sep2012 & in the first or second week of September I have started receiving SMS from the number 56060 for a particular service named “Kissing Tips” for which I have never applied & as per the first message that I have received this service was free for first 3 days & than it was going to charge me Rs.10 for a week (& surprisingly it is charging me Rs.10 per week till date). I called the customer care department to discontinue this service for me but they were not in a position to help & they asked me to dial a particular number & try to unsubscribe this service from there but I was not able to do it, every time I tried, on the call it was confirmed that the service will be discontinued soon but as I drop the call, I kept on receiving a message stating that I have pressed some wrong key. I am really frustrated why this service has been activated to my number in first place when I have never applied for it & why I have to take this pain to get it unsubscribed? Also when I have already applied for Do not Disturb service why till today I am receiving this SMS for “Kissing Tips”? This is ridiculous. Can someone save me & my money from this harassment?

      3) As per the call dated 10th of Sep 2012 at 5:50pm that I have received on my alternate Tata Docomo # [protected] from Tata Docomo customer care department (number was probably [protected]), it was communicated to my wife that for the first month of my usage of Tata Docomo post-paid services, I have been provided 3GB data Internet usage free however, in my first bill I have been charged for Rs. 1533.6 for 298926 KB data usage. I was aware of the data pack worth Rs. 50 that provides the benefit of 2GB Internet data usage but due to above mentioned misleading phone call from Tata Docomo customer care department I have not activated that data pack for my first month’s Internet usage which I thought I will activate from the second month onwards. Is it possible for you to check or listen to the above mentioned call that was made by Tata Docomo department & get this confusion cleared off? I am realy not stupid to pay Rs.1500 for just 150MB data when I am getting 2GB data just for Rs.50.

      4) Last but not least the services that I have been charged for like “Aamir” & “LATENIGHTMATSopup”, I have not been provided any explanation what kind of services are these? As per the information provided to me in the bill I have been charged @ Rs.49/per Sec for Aamir & @ Rs.99/per Sec for LATENIGHTMATSopup twice. I really don’t know how I have used this services & what actually has been served to me for around Rs.250? As per information provided to me by Tata Docomo customer care department I have used Internet for using this service & from there I have clicked on some link which has caused me charges but my concern is when we buy any product or service using Internet we have to make online payments why Tata Docomo is charging me for the online services like above in my bill (when already I have been charged exorbitantly for using Internet @ 1paise/KB)? If Tata Docomo is charging me this amount it means they should be in a position to explain me what has been served to me for Rs.250? Also where is my acceptance to pay charges for these kind of Tata Docomo Internet services? I have never been informed that I will be charged for any service like this? Only when I saw my first bill I came to know that services like “Aamir” & “LATENIGHTMATSopup” do exist on this planet earth (still do not know what it means or serves actually).

      I am really fed-up of all this nuisance going on with me since I have opted for Tata Docomo Post-Paid service & I am trying to know what all remedies are available to me for getting away from the Tata Docomo mobile services without loosing my mobile number. I am ready to pay all the fair charges that I owe to the company. Yesterday I have called Tata Docomo customer care department & tried to know the final figure that I have to pay to get away with my number but they told me to visit Tata Docomo gallery for that detail which I really do not want to do because I know they will definitely ask me to go back to the customer care department. Please help me here & let me know the way how I can get my number back from Tata Docomo's spider net immediately?

      Tata Docomo — misleading information related

      Hi, I am Brijesh kr.Rana my mobile no.[protected] residing at Civil Hospital Baroda Road Gohana. HR.I am your docomo pre paid customer From Last 2 days & from beginning i have to face much problems. i purchase this no. 1 year before. there was a mistake by dealer about document.than i port this no. to idea. After 90 days i port this no. again idea to docomo.On 2nd may 2011 i did make a call on 121 for best offers. I don't know whatever that person name was who told me that," sir if you rech. your a/c with rs. 300 than you get rs. 330 balance & you can use this bal. till 365 days." After rech. i make a call again on 121 there was another person he told me that." sir this bal. will be applicable only for 45 days." I requested to him then he transfer my call to his senior Mohit. He told me that," sir aapka bal. refund ho jayega. he gave me a no. which was 52202. Than i make a call on this no. from [protected] which is dealer no.
      Till that time everything was ok. i check my a/c there was 2.43 rs in main a/c., 100 MB data & 330 in special a/c. than i used the internet facility after that my special a/c bal. was 325.6 rs. i am very fed up about this kind of service..

      Sir i request to you please solve this problem & fefund this 300 rs. bal. in dealer a/c or convert this balance into my main a/c balance.
      Now 121 is barred also from my no. On this way u can understand which condition i will have to face.
      In this way I become fed up with Ur Services AGAIN , and Leaving Ur Feel Good Public Relation Services...But think again again Ur Customer Care Executives Services Not Ur Company Services.......IT Will harmful U in Future...Not warning but kind Request Which give Ur employee Excuse me.

      Tata Docomo — Unauthorised charging and misleading customer care

      Hi,

      This is my n-th complaint. I expect at least this will be heard and actioned.

      I'm using no: [protected] and this number is registered at all important places as my contact number (although I'm thinking of changing the service provider now).

      I had a history of misguiding experience from tata docomo's cust care which had costed me a lot.

      Recent example, although may not be related directly with cust care ::

      A caller tune service got activated on my number without my knowledge, when I saw amount deducted I called cust care for inquiry who advised me that amount will not get REFUNDED as usual.

      Frustrated with such unnecessary deductions I've not registered my no. in national Do Not Disturb registry.

      Please action on my request if possible.

On saturday I have received a call from your customer care department & it was told to me that they cannot provide any information to me in writting. I need solution to my problems before 12th so that you won't charge me any late payment fees. i really need freedom from Tata DOCOMO...my outgoing service is barred since 26th Sep2012 its more than 10 days now, please have some mercy on your customers...

      Now I am really loosing all my patience, my outgoing services are barred for more than 15 days, I am not getting any kind of rational response from your department about my concerns. Is it really so hard for you to provide details of your own services & products to your customers in writting? Am i asking you anything that is illegal or irrational? If you need weeks to explain your own services & products than how you can expect your customers to understand them all in just 1 second.
      Can't you provide explaination around conditions that are defined & implemented by your own department like Credit Limits etc? How hard it could be for you to provide an explaination around it?
      I am getting notices from Tata Docomo to pay Rs. 2770 towards my outstanding bill for my No. [protected] (Disconnected). I have raised below concerns related to bill amount with the company since Oct 2012 but till now I have not received any explaination around it. I am ready to pay any amount which I fairly owe to the company but I need answers to my below questions before I make any payment.

      Q1) My credit limit for my Post-paid connection was set for Rs.1300, how come my outstanding bill amount grown to Rs. 2770?
      Q2) Explain what is "LATENIGHTMATSopup" & "Aamir"? I have been charged @ Rs.99/sec for LATENIGHTMATSopup twice & once @ Rs.49/per Sec for Aamir total Rs. 247.
      Q3) What is "kissing Tips" ? I have been charged Rs. 40 for RN+SUBGSMTECHKIS.
      Q4) As per the promise made by Tata Daocomo customer care department on call dated 10th of Sep 2012 at 5:50pm I was supposed to get 2GB Internet data free in the first month of my service usage however I got free usage only for 168.46 MB data & for rest I have been charged @ 1paisa/KB. Why?

              expected plan of 3GB usage + bundle usage at restricted speed. But
              unexpected recharge plan of 750mb usage + 1500 min calls was activated.

              Hi Swapnil I am alos a victim of Tata Docomo post paid services specifically of the stupid services like kissing tips @ 10Rs/week, Aamir @ 49Rs/Second, Midnightmadsopups @ 99Rs/Second (I don't know what it means or serves & funny thing is that the Tata Docomo company people also don't know what these products actually serves to there customer) & hence I would recommand you to switch to some better mobile service provider who can offer you fair services.

              It seems Tata Docomo better services are only in the advertisements.
              I have filled the complaint on 5-Oct-2012
              Tata Docomo is not solving my problem,
              Giving me new docket no's one after other but not giving me the solution.
              1st Docket no. -PSR[protected]
              2nd Docket no. -PSMR12029252

              Last time they asked me to wait till 10-Oct-2012
              Now, they ask me to wait till 19-Oct-2012.

              Should i make a complaint in the consumer court against tata docomo?

              Please help me.

                I recharged 250 plan from docomo and got full talk time but my 3G service is lost and its not working anymore and its frustrating as nobody is responding from customer care. I am literaly frustrated to the core. Can anyone help me in this problem out. . .

                  First of all i want to give a peaceful suggestion to all that "Never use or purchase the sim of tata docomo"
                  My story :-

                  I am a great fan of internet or i am totally addicted to it so to get net facility i recharged my mobile with Rs.1000
                  then i started to activate internet everymonth f rs.98 data pack.It was going good for 3 months then suddenly my balance should be 800 or 700 but actually it was 600 i asked the customer care that why it is being reduced too much they said you have activated caller tunes and some other services and then i said them ok its just rs.100 or rs.150 no matter but i never activated that services and then after that month again i activated rs.98 data pack and i dont know why they suddenly deactivated my gprs service [ not the data pack ] i was able to see my data pack usage but was not able to surf the internet due to the following error " Packet data connection not available" . I again called the customer care and talked to one of their gprs helpline representative and got no help he was behaving like he was having no knowledge of internet.He said to me to delete alll settings and sms again and get all settings again and then restart mobile and i done that but no success.Atlast my friend came at my home and i explained him everything and he got the conclusion that my gprs service is disabled from the number 121 he fixed it and then i was able to surf net again.
                  Now today i had Rs.232.27 and i activated internet pack again of Rs.98 but i pressed the button once to activate it and got charged for 2 times and also received 2 sms of activation at the same time.
                  Currently my balance is Rs.37.xx and i talked to customer care and they are not accepting that its their mistake and they should return Rs.98.
                  So i am just posting this using their data pack and then after this data pack is expired, i gonna break this sim into 2 small pieces no more tension.
                  Airtel is the best and i gonna use it now.
                  my total loss was about Rs.300 to Rs.400 but i am happy that i am no more using this fraud company sim.

                  Hi Kartikey I am alos a victim of Tata Docomo post paid services specifically of the stupid services like kissing tips @ 10Rs/week, Aamir @ 49Rs/Second, Midnightmadsopups @ 99Rs/Second (I don't know what it means or serves & funny thing is that the Tata Docomo company people also don't know what these products actually serves to there customer). I am realy upset that I have not checked your post before opting for Tata Docomo services but now I have started recommanding my freinds & others not to opt for Tata Docomo services & to the existing Tata Docomo customer I suggest to switch to some better mobile service provider who can offer some fair services.

                    I have problem after recharged 250, there is no internet connection. I called customer service and first they told wait for 24 hours. And after 24 hours when i saw, there is still no internet connection. So i called again and they told a Surprise answer that it is not applicable in Android mobiles.
                    I am frequently checking my mail when i traveling and now in my mobile there is no internet connection. I am using Samsung Galaxy R handset. I need my answer ASAP, or i will go to court for this.

                    Tata Docomo — Issue with mobile recharge

                    Sir,

                    Yesterday I wanted to recharge my tata docomo number [protected] but due to mistake retailer punched the number [protected]. So Rs 140 special recharge went to incorrect number [protected]. Now retailers have option to do money back and correct this mistake. But tata docomo customer care refused to do that stating that since it is a special recharge so money recharge can not be executed. I am unable to understand the logic.

                    Please help.

                    I have received the message about Rs250 unlimited 3G recharge atleast 20 times in the past two weeks, so i finally got my self one on 9th oct online.I immediately the balance credited in my main account which stood at Rs283 after the recharge and message saying the 3g pack has been activated.I called up the customer care and requested them for manual settings as mine is android, cc people asked me to use the same settings.So i started using it then after 15 mins my balance went down to Rs0, i was shocked.So i tried calling CC again but in DOCOMO you can call the CC only once in a day after which they block your call. So i decided to go to CC myself, please note there is just 1 in whole of Bangalore with 8 counters and only 3 functioning between 1-3pm.I was made to wait for over 2 hours for my turn and when it finally came CC executive was very rude and impolite.He finally took down my complaint and said it will be resolved in 24 hours. But after two days my account was just credited with just Rs100 and no 3g pack(dont know on what basis this was done).i tried calling up the CC again but they have blocked all my calls.I just didnt want to go there again as i truely tested my patience.I dont understand why DOCOMO people lure people with such schemes when all they want to do is dupe people.This attitude by TATA DOCOMO headed by a big corporate group like TATA is uncalled for.                     After wasting my 5 rs and 10 days behind CC, today I am with the perfect answer.
                    Follow these steps:
                    1. go to "Access Point Name" in settings
                    2. change ur APN from "TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET" to "TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNETHVC"
                    3. Save it
                    Work Done...

                    Have a great surfing with TATA DOCOMO 3G for 1GB and then 2G for unlimited...:)

                    i want to post this on behalf of many persons using this 250 reharge . the balance of 250 they give away as full balance is deducted in the form of not required services .it works like this they activate some packages by redirecting some links to the docomo page which you havent clicked and then your balance gets deducted afterwards when you call the customer care that your balance had been deducted they reply that you have used these services . so this is the fraud behind this 250 recharge ..VERIFIED.TESTED and i can Prove it ..

                    i have put in a recharge of 250 about 2 days ago... the 3 g services are shown as active... however there is packet data error whenever i try to connect to internet...                     TATA DOCOMO is cheating the customers. Its 3G infrastructure is not ready but yet they are selling 3G services with impunity and without any fear of public outrage or even TRAI. I wrote a couple of times to senior management but no response thus confirming that tata docomo senior management is ware of the happenongs but is not really interested in intervention - perhaps juniors are acting on verbal instructions from seniors!!

                    The customer care execs are technically illiterate. An insider told me that CCs have a few funny instructions to follow. These instructions are meant only to politely fleece the customer. These are:

                    First put all the blame to wrong APN setting: Ask for APN settings -
                    a, If customer says that APN is in caps CC will say change it to small case. If customer says that APN is small case CC will tell you to change it to caps. Ask the customer to change and try and say good buy.
                    b. If netwerok selection is automatic then ask the customer to change it to manual. If it is manual then ask the customer to change it to automatic
                    c. Same with tata.docomo.internet and tata.docomo.internethvc
                    d. Same with GSM/WCDMA mode
                    e. and so on...

                    Since only one call is allowed to 121 from a particular number the customer will not be able to bother the CC for atleast a day!!!

                    If customer is really insisting and not ready to get tricked by the above then

                    a. Offer the customer to be put in touch with your senior. Then put the customer on hold for a few seconds and then quietly disconnect

                    If a customer is well versed with above tricks and is not falling in the trap then politely say that there's a problem with handset which is not supported by tata docomo.

                    If any of you is interested in a joint petition cum action against tata docomo - please post a "YES ME TOO" response to this thread. Based on number of responses I'll personally ensure that a strict action is taken against the provider.

                          @ Tata Docomo Social Media: I have a bone to pick with you.

                          Here is my background story,
                          I'm not really a Tata Docomo Customer, but somehow my email address got registered to a genuine customer's profile. I don't know if it was the customer who gave the wrong email address or the data entry operator wrote the wrong email address on the customer's profile, but that's not the point anyways. Point is, I was being a honest human being and wrote twice to their [protected]@tatadocomo.com, but no response. So I called the support twice by spending my money and every time they say we have updated the profile you will not receive anymore emails. But guess what, end of every month I get the customer's pdf bill. At this point I have access to the customer's private information like who did the customer called and how long each calls lasted, how much internet the customer accessed, home address, bill amout, mode of late bill payment, etc... This has been going on since May2012 and still continuing...

                          Two days ago I got another email with Sep2012 bill. In the mean time I got plenty of overusage alert, pending payment alerts, overdue alert etc...

                          I didn't wanna call the customer directly even though I have the phone number, because of privacy issue, so I called the customer support again today. I got really pissed when the guy on the other end refused to put me to a supervisor and on top of that he advised me that I should call the customer directly and tell the whole story. That was the most irresponsible and outrageous response that I have ever heard. I'm calling to help both parties here and I above all I respected the sensitivity of the security violation here. But the support guy said "You call the customer, it is not Tata Docomo's problem". Does he even realize what will happen if I put all the bills and details out on the internet in public? or even give the details to telemarketers? When every time I contact them, they could have called the customer directly and verified if thats the correct email id or not. But no, they guy is asking me to call the customer direclty as if it's my problem.

                          I kinda feel that Tata Docomo don't respect the customer data and they only care about how much more money they can milk from their customers.

                          I strongly recommend the consumers not to go for tata docomo service because they DO NOT RESPECT OR PROTECT YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION.

                          I posted this on their facebook page but it got deleted almost instantaneously. Let me see how they delete this.

                            Tata Docomo mobile service provider has deducted Rs. 90/- (rupees Ninety only)from my Pre-paid Account for "call me tunes" offer without my consent on 27/09/2012 at 16;55 p.m. They sent an unknown mobile No. which I received thinking it was of my customer. But they sent SMS immediately about deduction of amount by 04:57 pm. On the same night, I called Customer Care at 10:00pm & complained about deactvating the subscription to "Call me tunes" He told within Four hours you will get an SMS about cancellation & refund. I asked him the Complaint No.But he told That i would get in SMS. But I didn't get SMS. So, I again called Customer Care & asked Representative about it. He told me to call 198 and they will do the rest of it on 30/09/2012 at 9:03 pm. On calling 198, Computer related service 543211 deacivated the subscription to "Call me tunes", but did not get the Refund of my Ninety Rupees. I got the SMS of cancellation quickly. Again I called the Customer Care 121. He asked me about the Complaint No. But I told the other person didn't give. So, he told that he couldn't do anything without complaint No. and he added that no refund on such deactivation or activation. I told him about Consumer Complaint Division. He didn't bother and careless. So, I thought this is a planned cheating by a big docomo serevice provider to customers thinking that they will ignore the small amount and don't have any time to complain about in day to day life. Therefore, I am giving this Complaint against Tata Docomo Mobile Service Provider so that it should happen to future customers.

                              TATA DOCOMO deduce my balance for no reason, on 30 sep 5.12 rupees, on 1 oct 24.0 rupees, on 2 oct 10.0 rupees total 40.12 rupees. please docomo don't torture poor people like us by deduction of balance for no reason. refund my balance DOCOMO

                                There is an unwanted activation of a service called newsone. It keeps sending ta-huwwap messages.

                                Frequently it says your subscription is renewed and deducts 1 or 2 rupees from my account. I've called several times to the customer care, they say it is deactivated but the message and money deduction has never disappeared. i lost around 50 rupee till now and still its continue.

                                  On 1October 2012 , I tried doing the Online Recharge from the official site of tata docomo "http://www.tatadocomo.com/online-recharge.aspx"
                                  The amount I selected was Rs400 which promised me to give a talk time of Rs425. when I did the Online Recharge my State bank Of India Account balance got deducted but I didn't get my balance updated in my prepaid GSM.
                                  Please help me in this regard.

                                    Hello,
                                    i recharged 250 yesterday evening. The plan says Recharge 250 full talk time and get unlimited Internet 3g.
                                    I used my net today after few hours my balance came down from 242rs to 62.41rs.
                                    How the hell did this happen i don't know but DOCOMO has to answer for this. I'm trying to talk to customer care i not able to. Tomorrow i will and mind u i have to get my balance back.

                                    I too recharged it but my mobile 3G an that was activated earlier also got cut due to this activation and my mobile internet is also not starting. . . . I am just irritated to the core as u can never get a customer care executive on phone. . . This is totally irritating stuff. I don't know wat too do . . . .

                                        Tata Docomo — Extra and Wrong Charges debited to my account

                                        Please find attached details of complaint raised am following up for the last one month without any resolution.


                                        1) I sent a request to close my account on 10 Dec 2011.
                                        2) The account was closed on 17 Dec 2011.
                                        3) For a Bill cycle of 09/12/11 to 08/01/12 I was charged INR 274.65 when my Montly plan is for INR 249- I RAISED THIS AND DID NOT GET ANY REVERT.
                                        4) Then for a bill cycle of 09/01/12 to 08/02/12 I was charged INR 70.88 - I HAVE RAISED THIS TOO AND YET NOT GOT A REPLY.
                                        5) My Credit balance on 09/12/01 was INR 680 I expect a refund of the same amount.
                                        I ask you to investigate why I am being charged INR 274.65 and INR 70.88
