Tata DOCOMO is the third class company in Mobile Service Providers. I have done recharge to my mobile no. [protected] via E-Banking charges are deducted from my account but i still didn't get the amount in. Then i called customer care regarding this problem executive said ``u vl not get the amount coz v have no queries abt this``. the way that executive was talking mannerless. I haven't see any cheap company lyk tata docomo. I suggest everyone to not deal with TATA DOCOMO. its the last no. company and third class mannerless company i have ever seen.

Tata Docomo — Third Class Service By Tata Docomo

I must say that I am totally fed up of the glitches in the service and the apathy of the customer care executives of Tata Docomo towards customer feedback and complaints. Frankly speaking these people are only tarnishing the brand image of TATA by this negligent and lackadaisical service of theirs. As an evidence of this fact, read on the history of my miserable plight as is detailed below:
I bought a new sim of Tata Docomo on 14/08/2010 with connection number [protected] and have been facing the deluge of problems from day one itself. First of all there is no signal in my area due to which I am unable to connect with anyone via conversation or text messages. The interesting fact is that the signal is partially received in the portion of front balcony of my residence in Salt Lake in Kolkata and it disappears entirely the moment I step inside my house. I have brought this to the notice of the customer care executives a zillion times. At first, after probing into the matter (in the month of August itself) they informed me that my location is 400 metres away from the nearest tower due to which I am facing this problem. They assured me that work had already been commenced in setting up a tower in my vicinity to ensure the receipt of full signal in approximately three months' time. I was also told that as a temporary measure of tiding over the problem, they had increased the range of the signal from the nearest tower (which was proved futile later on).
I am compelled to enunciate that the promises tendered by them were nothing more than a mere bluff as it seems to me now. First of all I would like to bring to your kind notice the fact that reaching the customer care executives via the toll-free number 121 is nothing short of a biggest challenge in itself. If I manage to get the connection in spite of the faulty signal at my place, the message I get to overhear is “Akhon aar line e dariye opekkha korbe na” (“you don't need to stand and wait anymore”) and directing me to contact the toll-free number 52222 for related issues which are spoken by an illiterate Bengali woman who even doesn’t know the proper grammatical structure of the language. Even if I get connected to the customer care executive after much Herculean efforts, all they can say time and again is that they are sorry for the inconvenience caused to me and that I will have to wait longer for rectification of the problem. They even fail to update me on the issue as to what measures have been taken (if at all) as a remedial measure for this nuisance and at what stage of completion it is in sync with the word given to redress my problem in three months’ time way back in August. At one point of time, I was even directed by a customer care executive to remove my battery and sim cards and re-insert them after 2-3 minutes which turned out to be a mere bluff as my problem was not rectified even by the thin of a hair!!! When I reported this matter to another executive while on a chat session, I was informed that it was not a proper solution (again he was sorry for this blatant lie) and that the problem of distance from the nearest tower continues to be a hurdle as ever. On the top of that he also confirmed that there was no site planned in my area till date which proved that all earlier citations on their part were nothing but farce. As things have turned now, I find no other suitable measure than to drag these people to court for this offence of theirs. They have also started singing different tunes at different instants which turn out to be empty promises later on!!!
I have heard this thing right from the day my sim was activated and no desirable outcome has emerged from your end even within the span of time ensured by you earlier. So I know very well that all your utterances and promises tendered are baseless at best and are only meant to dupe the customers at large. You have also resorted to uttering blatant lie only to pacify your aggrieved customers for the time being which in no way is meant to materialize as is evident from the fact that the solution provided is negated the very next instant while trying to confirm the same. I have also recorded the entire conversation with the customer care executives on my cellphone to substantiate my claim. Over and above this, had you people co-operated with me even at this juncture, you would have come up with all update of the action taken by you so far in this regard (if any at all) which has been conspicuous by its absence as you people have inherited and elusive and escapist tendency when inquired on the issue and want to end the conversation in no time on flimsy grounds citing no response from other end even though it is of your own making and is solely due to poor signal in the area!!!

I'm using tatadocomo past 1&1/2yrs. i had distance from 2km from tower. my home is in open space in my village. but poor signal inside of home.
complain 2:
I'm using nokia 5130 in 1-point signal its not working. Still now i complaint about it more than 10times but no proper solution.
bad service they people dony know how to talk ...just time pass their job

    I am a customer of TATA DOCOMO . my mobile no is [protected]. On 16/05/2010 they barred my number without prior intimation. I called up to custromer care they told me that they don't have any details it happened from another department. They couldn't give proper reason and they are prolonging the issue. At the time my number barred I have balance also. Customer care people saying that they are helpless. We don't have any service centre in Nellore. What should I do.

      I am holding 5 connection from TATADOCOMO the no’s are [protected]/51/52/53/54 with relationship no:[protected] . I have been using this services from December 2009 and till date I have been a regular user and payer , but recently I have experience the bitterness in the services offered to a customer . below are the details of the usage and the payment as per the bill advices for your reference

      This month I was supposed to pay the amount of Rs 45 but the problems started on around 27 of April 2010 when I received the phone call stating that my outstanding dues are Rs 2662 when I inquired that as per the bill I need to pay Rs 45 only and I had been paying all the bill on time and there is no dues on me as per the details of the bills , she has no clues how this has arrived and she said that will be inquire it from his seniors and will revert back , than after 2 days again there was a phone call stating the same and my enquiry was also the same and moreover the reply she gave was also on the expected line , but no one bothered to clarify the situation that what was wrong why there was a huge difference between the outstanding amount and the bill amount . then I started receiving sms’s demanding the outstanding amount of Rs 2662 . then finally got no reply and the situation look more confusing , I wrote to the customer care on 3 may 2010 about this confusion and how much should I pay , the reply come back the same day from the customer care executive inderpal singh stating that you need to pay only Rs 45 , the next day I paid the amount online .but still I was receiving the sms demanding Rs 2662 , I again wrote to customer care and finally on 6 may 2010, they said that there is discrepancy and that their was a double entry done in the month of Feb 2010 ( refer the attachment ) during this period 5-7 may I was in Delhi , continuously was receiving the same sms that you pay the amount of Rs 2572 or else the services to your no will be stopped or will be on hold , on 8th may 2010 , Mr. Manish tiwari (ph:[protected]) came to my office for collecting the said amount , I told him that if there is an error done on the Tata docomo side I will be cooperating , but I need to check first that have I paid is twice via my credit card , I told Manish that I am retrieving the statement for this I need 2 working days time and he can contact me on Tuesday 11 may 2010 or I will be doing so , He agreed to this and I also emphasized that dues to this my services should not be interrupted . he assured me about the non-interruption of the services .Manish was once again send on 10 may 2010 for the collection where as I have told him t come on Tuesday. The nightmare started on Tuesday 11 may 2010 morning my services –outgoing was barred on all 5 no’s .i called Manish and intimated the same , after 2 pm the services were restored the same happened on Wednesday . finally I paid the amount of 2572 via cheque no 029346 dated 12.5.2010 receipt no 14639 to Manish ,he again assured me that all the services will be restored but again on Thursday the services were interrupted and finally I had to call Manish he said that there is an updating issue and the services will be restored .after all these false assurance from Manish , finally on Friday the 14th may 2010 my all the no’s were barred from all the services and were restored only after I gave a call to Manish and when he personally updated that in the system and since monday again the services are disrupted

      My questions are
      1. Was I at fault ?
      2. Was I defaulter ? than why I was treated this way even paying all the bill as per the advice of the company itself ?
      3. Why there was disruption of services even after paying ? why their was false assurance from the collection officer? why their was delay in updation ?
      4. Is this the award of having loyalty and faith in the services of tata docomo or is this the standard treatment to their loyal customers
      5. why this payment outstanding was not incorporated in the next bill?
      6. Why the people waited so long to figure out this problem?



      The big question is that in all cases the company and its official are at fault and I had been suffering . why ?

      Please suggest the course of action against the company and its officials for all the inconvenience caused

      Agree with you Sir, Tata Docomo Customer Service Officers are only there to harass the Customers. My experience at their F C Road Pune Outlet has been equally bad, if not worse. Initially they promptly pretend to address your request, but you realize nothing has been done (worse the request related documents have not reached further / lost by them) and then their call center executives / Seniors are not ready to listen and address the concerns.
      They are losing the credibility Mr JRD and Mr Ratan Tata along with other Tata group employees have so painstakingly built over the decades..

        i have taken budy chat plan few dys back..i subscribed for people in mumbai..bt first i talked with girl..she is from kanpur..wat is this?
        then i unscuscribe the budy chat plan...nothing happened...i called customer care..dey tld u hav to wait for 5 hours to deactivate...bt after 2 days dey have not deactivated ma plan..now also i lost 30 rs...plzzzzzzzz take any action..TATA DOCOMO...DO THE RIGHT

          I am a consumer of Tata Docomo for more than two years with prepaid Mobile No : [protected].Tata Docomo has automatically activated some of his services from their sms no 54321 due which their has been a repeated deduction from my account balance. it just all happened on April 16th 2010, when i received a message that i have been subscribed to joke alerts which charged 30rs from my balance. then i just received similar messages repeatedly on April 21st, April 25th, May 3rd ,5th,10th,12th.But time and again i have already called up their authorities and told them these problem.After contacting them the operator starts asking lot of questions and at he end says that you have activated on your cell.and sometimes they reply that u will receive your balance within 48 hours. still with a hope i just wait for 48 hours.but their seems to be no such thing happen.I never activated any feature but the costumer care compels me to admit that I have activated. Why should I activate any feature that I don't know ? each and every time my balance deducts I use to call them again and again and SAME STORY I HAVE TO REPEAT TO THE OPERATOR ,every time they will lie and cheat me by saying activated from your side.

          Even after their seniors will repeat same story. because of such bad experience i have stopped my prepaid connection of Tata docomo.But sorry to say that Tata docomo is having shortage of funds to run the organisation hence collecting such money by deducting balance from customers like me, may be in thousands per day.

          I will be going to change the service and will never rely on reliance.Tata Docomo service is totally Unreliable.

          So therefore, I request please look into the matter and discontinue this service immediately and help me get my money back (Its upto 60 to 70rs approximately) and punish the company for which no other consumers will be suffer in future.

          same case happen to also...

          They have simply dedcted 30 rs on May 28th and on June 4th.

          The message i got was "Your subscription to NGC on TATA DOCOMO DIVEIN WAP service has been auto renewd. and you have been charged Rs 30"

          I ahve not subscribeed for any service and I logged a complaint and after two days I got message "We hope you are satisfied with the resolution provided for "GBL09183352"

          My mobile number is [protected]...

          This is not the case only with me.. I have seen many cases where docomo charges cusomers illegally.

          Tatadocomo mobile service — Illegally deducting money from the prepaid account for the package never asked for.

          I have a Tatdocomo mobile number .. [protected].Few days back,suddenly, they started giving me packs like sheroshayri, INTERNATIONAL NEWS, without me ever asking for them, and have deducted Rs 60 /- from my prepaid account, without my consent. This is really outragious. I request to you to please take up the matter with the concerned govt. authorities, for the redressal of my grievance and refund of the illegally deducted money from my account. I have already corresponded with the company, but their response is negative. It seems they are fleecing the customers and need to be taught a lesson of honest consumer practices.

          i totally agree with you as the these company are totally making us fool that we dont know anything as i suppose that only we can make them on the streets by legally casing them with high rates to their company for the compensation money and made them think thrice to activate any services to the customer no without his consent.
          as similarly it happened to me as on 12 march 2011 i got a call from the customer care they want to offer a hello tune free to my number but i made them very clear to the call that you all company guys make us fools and i dont want your offers on my number but instead he dropped my call and activated the hello tune on my number with total 50 Rs. balance deducted from my mobile number as on 13 march there was my paper of BAnk and when i called to my mom to tell her about it but as soon as i dropped my call the balance showed me that you have only 12 rs left in my balance as earlier it was 65 Rs something so then i called the customer care but he told me that nothing can't be done further as you could just deactivated it and nothing else more..later i called to another customer then she said that we are forwarding your complaint but sooner she said too that our servers are getting problems we will forward your compliant to the officers in next 48 hours but nothing happened ...as i am not angry with it because i have done art of living course but i need my money back on my mobile no matter what ever be the cost behind my hard work to the process as i want to make a experience in it...as today is 16 march but nothing happened

            Hello sir, me and my all frends using docomo gprs ' but sad docomo gprs is very suck and dirty and speed is not working proper, even if gprs is EDGE then speed have to 35 to 40 kB/s but sad docomo is charging money but not gving gud gprs surfing and downloading speed, so we all of request u plz improve gprs speed w8ing for service.[protected]@[protected],[protected]

            iam new user of tata docomo, my friends recommended me to use as it has very good downloading and surfing speed but its stil on a sad page with downloading speed goes from 3 kbps to max 5 in rare case or its on averge 1 and 2 and some times even in bytes.. surfing speed is also not doing any wonders. now the worse scene is that my web browser also fails to connect to internet 90% of the time it say network problem or system error on my mobile. my nokia ovi store hasent evn worked once it just says unable to conect due to error my facebook opera and many other mobile appications are not working as it not able to connect. there is no signal problem.. signal is good there is no mobile or laptop problem as i use tata photon and airtel they work fine... whats wrong with tata docomo.

            hi i m ankit a new user of tata docomo gprs i hv been running internet on the pc thru my nokia 2690 handset since last week but just after the 3g service was launched from 15th august i am getting a very bad downloading and browsing speed, browsing speed is too low and downloading speed is about 1-2 kbps max 4 kbps i complained to the customer care for my problem but they turned a deaf ear to my request and just said that there is no such problem with tata docomo and its downloading speed ranges in 32-40 kbps i am disappointed by the attitude of the customer care executives and have not been able to enjoy the internet is the case that after the launching of 3g by bsnl the 2g gprs will be of no use plz help me out my contact no is [protected]
            hi, i m aseem from Bangalore, i m using tata docomo sine 4 months .. and all was good since last 2 weeks ... the gprs connection was awesome and even the network was good ... but since last 2 weeks i dont know what thee hell is wrong with network... forget about the gprs ... when u dont even get network where is the question of gprs ? ? ? ?
            i had even called up customer care ... but they launched a cmplaint with their technical team and gave me the token number and said it would be repaired ... and finally after 3 days i get a message saying ... your problem is resolved but we were not able to contact to confirm on this ... ok ... now i would agree they tried getting in touch with me on my docomo .. but beside my docomo number i had given them my airtel number ... no even bothered to call me up on my airtel number to see if the problem i solved instead closed the ticket without even solving the problem...

            I stay in wilson garden, bangalore and the verdict is that the docomo network is horrible ... even worser than airtel ??????

            Is anyone trying to do anything for this or everyone will keep giving reasons like ...
            1. we have sent the issue to the technical team
            2. ir there is some technical issue with the network

            and so on and so forth ...

            from the service provider side there are n number of problems which they would never want to resolve ... but instead they would keep on giving excuses ... is anyone acting on this ?????

            these days tata network has even overtaken airtel in the NEGATIVE Field ...

            After the arrival of tata docomo 3g, downloading speed and the browsing speed of the 2g goes down. Firstly i got the downloading speed of 20-26kbps, now it is only 8-12 kbps. what happened to your network after the arrival of 3g.
            Its your imagination! There is no similarily between 2G and 3G ... both are on different frequencies!!

            i am Gaurav from sanawad, Madhya pradesh . i am using tata docomo 2g (Edge) with the help of tata docomo usb modem ZTE mf 631 . from next two months . but sir i am not satisfied with this speed i am getting max 100-120 kbps surfing speed and it is not constant it is fluctuating . sir plz help me out . and i request to u plz improve gprs speed . waiting for your favourable reply .

              Hi,

              I got 3 consecutive messages today (15-May-2010 Near 5.00 P.M.).
              In first two messages it was written:
              "Thanks for downloading java game---,You have been charged Rs 50/-"
              I could not understand how can one download 2 games without even touching the cellphone.And if the games were downloaded where did they go if they are not there in my cell phone.
              After some time third message came saying "
              "Your account does not have sufficient balance to make this call"

              When I called customer care I got a reply that I have downloaded 2 java games(Rs 50 each).
              As I have no proof to put forward, I m helpless now.

              This post is just to make people aware of the kind of fraud Docomo has started.
              I saw many similar problems posted here, & my suggestion to all--never activate GPRS Services on your Docomo sim, so that atleast you will have some proof to put for such incorrect deductions.
              My name ankit sethi and my no. [protected] mvc service have been activated on my no. And i want to deactivate this stupid service also i have been charge rs. 50 for this

                my complain is regarding TATA photon prepaid connection

                no [protected] deactivated without any information when i

                go through verification than , i just find out that my

                documents are not reached to tata photon ofc of my

                area,so they have disconnected my photon plus . if it

                will be possible to send my documents on mail by scan

                copy let me know but not activating my photon is just i

                am losing the confidence in using tata products in

                future .please do the needful otherwise i launched the

                complain against the dealer ,these peoples are just

                interested to make the targets not interested in giving

                the services . or please take your instrument back & pay

                my amount as early as possible.
                i have also complaint in their customer care.my docet no is PTC[protected].but still they did not look after the matter where as advise me to be strict to the regional ofc for sending them my doc!!!!!!!!!

                  Sir,

                  This is KAUSHIK MUKHERJEE, an M.Tech student from Kolkata.
                  I have sent you a complaint (in details with my attached photo) on 4th May, 2010 regarding my account balance deduction suddenly from my mobile phone, where I use TATA DOCOMO connection. My mobile no is +91-[protected].

                  on 3rd May, a lady customer care representative was insisting me to download caller tune from the number [protected]. But I was really not interested about it.

                  After that, a caller tune has been downloaded unwillingly. I did not know when It has been downloaded. So, my account balance has also been deducted from Rs 60 to Rs 26 automatically.

                  Today, I got a call from the number +[protected]. A customer care representative was asking me about that. He told me that they were informed about it on 6th May, 2010, more than 48 hours later from when my account balance has been deducted. So I can not get back my account balance.

                  But I have been informed you on 4th May, the day after when my account balance has been deducted. (within 15 hours)..

                  IS it their proper excuse??? Even the customer care representative has roughly behaved with me for it, he was asking me why I have sent this complain???
                  That's why I am sending you this message.

                  Tata Docomo — MOBILE ACCOUNT BALANCE DEDUCTION SUDDENLY

                  Sir / Madam,

                  This is KAUSHIK MUKHERJEE, an M.Tech student from Kolkata. I use TATA DOCOMO connection in my Mobile phone. Suddenly on 3rd May, 2010, I got a call from the number [protected], a lady customer care representative was insisting me to download caller tune. But I was really not interested about it.

                  Suddenly, after some time, a caller tune has automatically downloaded in my mobile, I have not downloaded it. I called the customer care representatives, but they could not answered me properly. Even my account balance has been deducted from Rs 60 to Rs 26. My mobile number is (0) [protected].

                  How is it possible, when I have not downloaded it???
                  Who will responsible for it??

                  If I will not get my account balance back within 10 days, then I will leave the connection.
                  If TATA DOCOMO will do the same to others, then they have to loss many of their customers.

                  Tata Docomo — sudden deduction from account

                  Sir I found there is a sudden deduction of Rs.30 from my balance. I called up the customer care to know about the details. They told me that one some data service I have activated for which the amount was deducted. I was not surprised at their answer bcoz this is " not for the first time I'am facing the problem".This has happend for several times with me. They do some thing from their side and claim that you have "activated some service" for which that amount is deducted.As usual the fellow at the other end draws a "pity figure" saying that he can't refund the money.Then I ask to give his senior's number so that I can convey my problem.He transferred the call to some number which kept on ringing and as per my previous experience it is never attended till today.When I disconnected the call and tried to call the customer care executive again I got a reply "All our customer care executive are presently busy plz call later". I kept on trying on several occasion at intervals but got the same answer.

                  I'am really feeling pity on the company and service provided by them.The service provided has become worst or rather we can rank it as "third grade" the customer service and their response to our call is even worst

                  TATA DOCOMO has the POOREST of service, the ads are exactly opposite of what they do. TATA DOCOMO is in reality the very old man its shows in the ads. THEY ARE A FRAUD and CHEATERS - specially in prepaid where you cant get back your money once deducted. Believe me - AIrtel and Vodafone (i have used them too)_ are FAR BETTER in customer care.

                  AVOID TATA and get ported to any other company - these people will fleece you and laugh on your face too.

                    I am Bala, My tata docomo mobile no [protected],i had recharged RC119 Booster on 20.04.2010, for 30p/min, after that i had received message from tata docomo regarding SMS Pack for RC16, for free SMS Local/National per day 200, i had recharged that pack on 29.04.2010, after that RC119 has deactivated on that same date on 29.04.2010, i had speak to customer care and given complied for that, they told we can't do anything that, after that i am spoke to Nodel Officer and Appellate officer, they taken that complied, but still i am not getting any result from tata docomo, i need weaver amount for from 29.04.2010 to still date whatever i make a call, and I want to continue that RC119 pack booster,and i had received mail from tata docomo they telling, as one time you can get the benefit of one pack only,ok while using Rs.119 booster, as per tata docomo record, it should not be activate SMS pack of Rs.16, pls i need good result from tata docomo, please take action against Tata Docomo and help me........

                    Same here got booster for 24Rs for a month to reduce call rates 1p/2s next month it didn't work. Called cx care said its no longer applicable for my no. [protected]. sent a email as complaint to give more info. No body replied back. Tried other options 66Rs etc it didn't work out. I was using it for more than 2yrs. This is how they pay back for old customers. I was switched to uninor and life's good except the tower problem in remote places. But I live in city so no concerns.

                      The Day I took the tata photon connection the speed is very bad and inspite of giving no. of complaints to the tata photon office its in vain. And the worst thing is they are asking me to pay the bill for which I have never used the connection.

                      Although I have given many complaints this is the latest complaint no.

                      yes, this is true .. They say 3.1 MBPS speed but inreality it would not cross .8 MBPS and again it depends on cluster you are using the services and very bad customer service/ support and do not act on complaints

                        My name is Dean Ritchie, i am an ex- Sales Officer in Titan Industries ltd orissa, Titan which is also a TATA Enterprise. I left Titan in oct 20th 2009 because i was leaving for New Zealand, coming back to my complaint i was a TATA DOKOMO post paid subscriber as a responsible customer i surrendered my sim and paid my dues but my last bill payment was not recognised by their system. i am sending you details of my last payment. date of payment-26.10.2009. The last due bill was Rs 1320. the receipt no is 1558 and my mobile no was [protected]. I paid this last bill in gupta distributors buxibazar cuttack, state Orissa. you can cross check if you want. After paying my bill i left the country. but my mother Mrs Mary Ritchie had to be the victim of their irresponsible system. she had repeated calls from the customer care that i had not paid the last bill and she repeatedly answered that my son has paid the bill and i have the receipt of the last bill paid. but the phone calls never stopped coming more shocking was the court notice that you would take necessary action for not paying the bill. Then my mother spoke to the lawyer whose number was written in the court notice, the lawyer said to ignore it. After that there was no calls but a couple of days back from the time i am sending you this mail, my mother had a threatening call from the Delhi police that they have an arrest warrant against me because i was a defaulter for not paying my bill. now this is something devastating and the repeated harassment caused to my mother has taken a toll on her mental health. I am still out and cant help her out. now i want you to take this matter very seriously and i want you to sort out this problem and file a notice to TATA dokomo. I want a clearance letter and an appology letter to my mother within 7 working days and if she gets any calls further regarding my bill payment then i would be putting up a "consumer case" against them and then we shall have a good time

                          Now they started new cheating...They are sending message ""Your subscription to NGC on TATA DOCOMO DIVEIN WAP service has been auto renewd. and you have been charged Rs 30".

                          This happend to me two times an I lost 60 ruppes. When I contacted customer care they are saying

                          "Please be informed that the charges have been levied correctly as per the
                          tariff applicable on your number and also wish to inform you that you have
                          downloaded the application NGC and hence the amount is deducted."

                          I have not downloaded any such application and they are not giving me the money back.

                          I am wit you for any legal actions aginst them

                              i am user of tata docomo from last one month and that time company offer one month free caller tune service
                              before one month two day before end of month they suddenly charge me 30 Rs twice and every time when i call a customer care person they answer me system is low and we can't find your detail so please hold on otherwise call me after some time (mean thay did't tell how much time) then after all customer care person tell me different reason .
                              so now i am fed-up with this all thing so please any body help me.

                                Sellers : Dealers (so called!) - Vriti Infocom / Vriti Interactive / Vriti Marketing (I still haven't figured out their right name...not just me! Even Tata Indicom Gallery at Ghatkopar West is not aware...neither do their call centre, nor their Marketing Department who come up with this offers! WOW. Amazing, isn't it....Just wait to read the rest. You will fall off the chair. I guarantee!
                                Sales Person's Name : Nikesh Kumbhar, Phone - [protected].
                                Product - Tata Photon+ Wireless Modem
                                Method - (a) Online confirmation (response to the email sent to me by Tata Indicom by one another marketing partner - Petronia.com), (b) TeleSales person calling me to confirm visit by a sales person, (c) sales person visiting me personally.
                                Offer - FREE 2N/3D Holiday to Goa (* Offer brought to you by Vriti Infocom, an online partner of Tata Teleservices)
                                Speed Thrills, but it also Kills - how many of you have read this? I went for Speed! Just then the Nightmare had just begun. Read on....

                                The sales person visited me and collected all the documents, filled in the Customer Application Form (CAF No.Sr.No.MHMUM[protected] on the 3rd May. I wanted immediate connectivity. He promised instant connectivity. I also enquired about the Goa Promotional Offer. He was not aware. He made some queries with his colleagues (he didn't even know the marketing promotions going on?!!!) and then said I will receive a call. I did get a call from one Tata Indicom sales person in Noida! (Gets interesting!) and confirms me the goa Offer. I ask the terms and conditions, knowing well the hidden terms we all are used to under one simple "Conditions Apply!". He did NOT share the same. I asked his how is this applicable. He says "I will email you the hotels where this is applicable in Goa. You will get a coupon confirming the same after you purchase. It is valid for one year from the date of purchase."
                                I then tell him that since it is from TATA (among the Most Trusted Brands? sigh....not for me anymore!), I will agree to purchase, since i believe it will be as he promised. He said "No other details. it is a simple holiday offer!"
                                I asked the mode of payment to the sales person who is in front of me. He says "with Cash, you get instant connectivity, with cheque you have to wait for 3 days". Since i didn't have enough cash and I need the connection urgently, i take him to the ATM, withdraw cash and handover to him. I ask for a cash receipt. He says, the CAF itself is a receipt. But no mention of the amount anywhere!!!(What accounting systems do TATA have...believe me, dig in deep, we might unearth a larger SCAM! I don't have time though! Have better things in life to do...)
                                The CAF does not contain the dealer stamp...nor their name.
                                He hands me the Modem. I ask if I have to sign somewhere..to acknowledge I have received the same. he gives me a "ahemmmmm...who cares" look! Interesting, I say!
                                I come back and open my email - I find the Goa Offer Coupon. If I had the guys in front of me, I would have done something unthinkable. The Offer has so many "Terms and Conditions" that a sane person will not even attempt to avail the offer. I am FRUSTRATED and TIRED! Where did these terms and conditions appear suddenly?
                                How can TATA promote an offer online without mentioning the terms and conditions in public! Isn't it unethical? (Is TATA really known for ethics...come on!). Isn't it ILLEGAL to sell something and then later display/communicate the terms and conditions...it is LICENCE RAJ still? See the Links below and try it yourself. I have for Consumer Case/Claims reasons copied, saved the Printscreen images...lest TATA add the terms and conditions later and claim it was there earlier!
                                (There are no promotional brochures; the Sales person is ignorant of it; The Marketing Call Centre doesn't know about their own promotion; Support Call centre doesn't deal with Promotional offers...claim ignorance! What's Happening here....is this a company or a Baniya operation?)

                                Now the real trauma...it is 3 hours now since I bought the Modem. I happily take my Laptop, install the Modem driver and then start activation. The modem is still not activated. (Mind you, Promise was 1 hour...it is 3 hours. Someone said sometime back during the Nano Launch...A Promise is a Promise...Do we know their Promise Kept %ages?)
                                I call the sales person(Nikesh) back. he says "Call this number Activation Dept. No one picks up.
                                I call the sales person again...he says Speak to my Boss. Dinesh Sharma ([protected]). Turns out is is one Pankaj and not Dinesh. He is travelling by train. Says he will speak in the morning. DAMN IT! I wanted the connection NOW and paid for it!
                                I call the sales person back. He is not picking.
                                I call the Call centre[protected] and an amazingly annoying ad (looped up) is on play. No Help.
                                I call the Sales person again. He has switched the phone off....It is 11.15 in the night by now!
                                I curse the entire TATA family and go to sleep expecting a better day next.

                                Next day Morning - 4th May 2010.
                                I call the sales person back. He does not pick my calls.
                                I call Pankaj - he picks up gives me one number of one Mr.Pawan in Noida. "He is the Boss and he will help solving your complaint".
                                The Number is wrong. I call back Pankaj. He does not pick.
                                I SMS him back that the number is wrong - No Response.
                                I call the Call centre - The lady at the other end (Manisha, by name) confirms she has not received my CAF and hence activation is still pending. I am FURIOUS. I ask her about the Goa Offer. Support Call centre doesn't deal with Promotional offers...claim ignorance!
                                I next call the Marketing Call Centre ([protected]). They are not aware of the offer. The Call centre assistant (Yogita, by name) is adamant there are no such schemes live! (Is Tata SCHEMING?) Blasphemous isn't it....Promotions run by the company is not know to them!
                                Then I write a complaint to the Nodal Officer through their online complaints. I get a reply stating my complaint is accepted and they will respond within 24 hours. The state of mind I am in now, I don't have 24Hours! I call them straight away. Suguna Shetty on[protected]. I speak to one Khalid (pretty helpful) and he says he will get back to me within evening. It is 4.30 in the evening now. Day 2. Still no news on Activation. Neither clarification on the offer.
                                I call everyone back again. No success. I give up. Now I DON'T WANT THE TATA PHOTON/GOA OFFER and anything to do with TATA henceforth.
                                Day 3 - 5th May 2010.
                                I call the call centre. "We have not yet received the CAF sir. So we cannot tell you about the activation timelines. You can visit the nearest TATA Indicom Gallery and check for yourself.
                                I resolve to FIGHT.
                                I stop all my work. I take an auto to TATA Indicom Gallery at Ghatkopar West. Reach there at 12.10pm.
                                Meet Shiney in their Consumer Grievances cell.
                                I explain the whole episode and demand my cash back. Want to return the whole box.
                                The most frustrating (and smirking with joy in some way...I told you so!) thing is that Shiney tried contacting Nikesh and gets a cold shoulder. She is furious and calls his boss, Pankaj. He disconnects. She is now feeling 1% of my pain...
                                I show her the umpteen calls I have made - the numbers, the timings, the names....she is empathetic and tried helping me. But she does not get any support inside. TATA indicom team does not know who this VRITI INFOCOM is! neither about the Offer! I told you earlier....this is only re-confirming the same....
                                She calls Nikesh back. He picks up and she asks him why he is not responding to me. He has no answer. She asks him why the line was not activated...an Insta-photon connection! he says some problem....not able to coherently explain. She calls Pankaj. Pankaj gives a Noida number. Noida guy by now(One Mr.Ankit calls me on my phone at 2.05 pm and says "Sir. your modem has been activated. Can you check". I say I don't want the connection and give the phone to Shiney. She confirms and he disconnects).
                                But no clear way forward. She lets me know I can get the cash back in 7 days....What the Hell....I think. For sales they knock a hundred times..post sales, they dont even acknowledge and now 7 days to retun the cash! These guys must be crazy.
                                I force her to speak to Suguna and get a solution. Suguna confirms it will take 48 hours to let me know anything next...I CURSE that the whole TATA goes down the drain. I tell them I will file a cheating/harassment/mis-representing/illegal trade practice complaint and go to the consumer courts...

                                Next steps.
                                To the TATA management : Pay me my money plus little damages...immediately. I have been harassed enough. ELSE will have to go to the consumer court.
                                Additionally, if you were such ETHICAL people as you portray (I don't believe so, anyway neither does it matter), you should SACK Vriti interactive and your Product Managers for such irresponsible marketing!

                                NDTV - Please look into such harassments. Do some TEHELKA type sting operations. You will get more from these than you can ever dream off! You will make this nation a better place to live in. Under the guise of the Great TATA, these are SCAMS operated....cheating innocent public. Imagine, I had the access to education, internet, and knowledge on what to do in such situations...what about the common public? Why does such companies like TATA CHEAT?

                                I will wait till tomorrow afternoon (6th May 2010. 12.00noon. If I don't get an answer from TATA, I will go ahead with my formalities starting with a formal complaint through registered post! I have enough and more proof).

                                  I complained against TATA DOCOMO for installing hallo-tune after I told them that “ I dont need it”. They took the case and assured me that they'd resolve the case, now without resolving they closed the case. One month back they cheated me Rs. 45/-, and I had to listen the same story, they asked me if I had a proof, but this time I have some proofs, because this is the second time they stole Rs. 30/-, what a new idea of “balance theft”, the incident took place yesterday at 2.42 p.m., a call came from this no. [protected], asking for hallo-tune, I denied, but they installed and deduct Rs. 30/- from my balance, what an idea, if I receive any call that means “yes” to any offer they throw, yesterday I complained twice and they gave me complain no. 153768 & 153770, but didn't tell me where I put this no. and get to know what happened? And what is happened next day means today, a call came from[protected] at 9.45 and someone gave another no. PAV09022492, and told me your balance would be refunded, but still there exists that “stupid hallo tune” and now I received an sms from their site, they thanked me for downloading that “stupid Halo tune”. I dont want it, kindly restore my balance what they deducted for that tune and erase that tune.

                                  on 20th november at 12.36 pm i had a call from [protected] which used to be customer cares number. i rejected the call because i was very busy then. then suddenly in a few minutes a had two sms from 543211. the two sms are as follows. 1st one is ."thank you for subscribing to call me tunes.Rs0 has been charged for 5 days" and the 2nd one is "thank you for downloading tu jab jab mujhko pukare.Rs.15 is charged." so i don't understand that how this call me tune activated automatically. when i called to customer care the representative without proper inquiry about the matter as well as not going through the duration of the call i got, he told me that you have activated this service yourself. he further told me that write DATA and send it to 121 to get your data usage information. when i sent the similar to 121 then i got the reply sms as "Dear customer, You have no data usage till date." then i tried to connect to the care for several times but each time it got disconnected. i further tried to connect them from another number but again without proper query they told i have done everything. my complain is that for a student 15 rupees on phone is not a joke. you'll be astonished to know that" i'll never avail this service if it'll supplied free of cost". so sir my complain that when i've not done all these how someone can held me responsible for the same. so please help me please make a proper investigation i've still that msgs and call logs which i can supply if i may be asked. i want my balance back so sir plz help me.

                                    I am Having a TATA DoCOMO NO.[protected]
                                    IT shows full range but when i call some one it shows connection error and even there is no incoming call.
                                    THis problem is from 27/04/10. And sometimes The call Connects.

                                    I called up The customer care 10-12 times and lodged a complaint but they were not successful.

                                    I hope my Matter Will get solved Soon

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I buy a TATA DoCoMo Pre-paid sim card Near Nayandana Halli at Bangalore. At that time itself i submitted all my proofs (Xerox of My PAN Card and My Photograph and Local Address of my Bank Account) After three days My out going calls has been barred. But whenever i m trying to customer care they are not responding. Its a very poor service what ever they want. But that sim card was not activated 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks i reach out so many times retailer.

                                    I am a Tatadocomo user having no. [protected]. I have 2 problems. !st one is the problem of network coverage. I also complained about it previously but your technicians did not do anything for my complaint. The coverage inside the room is 0. Plz do something for this problem. 2nd problem is this No. is only using by me. So there is no chance to subscribe any things from your service. But before 2days the tatadocomo deducted Rs. 30 from my account for Regional News. I had found only 3 msg from u. It means each msg @Rs 10. I had called twice to the exicutive officers but they did not help me and even truncklet my call. I need your help as soon as possible else I will bound to chage my number.

                                    I think Tata Docomo is one of the worst service provider in india. my fathers number is [protected] (jajpur, Orissa number). I always try more than 50 times to connect with my fathers number. when other number near our home are working good. they are bsnl or reliance etc. I always use their number to talk with my father. how pathetic is it? where is the fault? please let me know ASAP.

                                    My name is Raja ghosal. I'm from Asansol, West Bengal. My mobile no is [protected]. I convert my no from Relience GMS to Tata Docomo on 8th Feb 2011 by MNP. But now Tata Docomo gives me very very very poor class of service. I faced a huge network problem from last one week. There is no betwork coverage in my home since last one week. I had made a complian & they a say it will be solved by 26.05.11 or before that & there will be be call from your technical team as early as possible. But till now I neither dont get any call nor my problem is solved. My complian no is NWK[protected]. Its a very very very poor class service. As my problem is not solved & this is my very important no as I'm a central govt employee, I have to change service provider once again. I already received a UPC port no for MNP. I was just waiting till 26.05.11 8pm, after that I have to change it. Once again I'm telling TATA DOCOMO is giving the poorest service to its customer.
                                    I am having Tata Photon max wifi dongle.Its speed is very slow..evenif i am unable to open any web pages.I have already registered complain ..but I have not got any technical support from Tata Photon Customer service.Frankly this service is very poor.I m very much disappointed...Please Do the needful as soon as possible.Hoping for positive response

                                      i'm using Tatadocomo Mobile Service.

                                      i'm using the 1gb GPRS plan free ever month.

                                      it's started when i was browsing Tata Docomo mobile website.
                                      i just made a single click in what's new section @ "more" link and suddenly installer came in front of my mobile screen. (as i'm very concious about the virus i rarely download any application and install the same on my mobile.) i cancel the same and closed the website.

                                      in few moment i received message stating

                                      "Thanks for downloading JavaGame: BabemachineDessousModels on Tata Docomo Dive-in WAP Service. you've been Charged Rs. 49.0/-"

                                      i had immediately[protected]:30am) called Customer Care and explain him the complete scene in return one of the executive assured me that if the download is not made my money will refunded to my account. but due to some reason he was not able to explorer my account so he requested me come after 3 to 4 hrs.as i was just about to leave for my office i confirm with executive that is it fine if i call by evening 8 or 9 he told no problem you can.

                                      a explain complete scene again to one of the Executive first he told that he is also not able to explorer my downloaded data rest every thing was available in my account .after 10 min he replied me say a game is downloaded from your mobile

                                      he told same thing that i received in my sms . therefore it was confirm that he dont have any download Data with him
                                      he is just reading the message that i received in start.

                                      he was not capable to answer my query. so requested me to hold by the time he'll transfer the call to his Senior. and thereafter l was on hold for 35min without any response

                                      i guess they put me on barred list. which is not allowing me to connect to customer care..................... any more...

                                      so they are cheating in some or the other only money matter nothing else.... to this company. not the fight is not for money it's about service that Tata Docomo service Centre treated me............

                                      TATA DOCOMO has the POOREST of service, the ads are exactly opposite of what they do. TATA DOCOMO is in reality the very old man its shows in the ads. THEY ARE A FRAUD and CHEATERS - specially in prepaid where you cant get back your money once deducted. Believe me - AIrtel and Vodafone (i have used them too)_ are FAR BETTER in customer care.

                                      AVOID TATA and get ported to any other company - these people will fleece you and laugh on your face too.

                                        last Month 25th onwards my sister continuously receiving sms from the folowing tata docomo number [protected], yesterday she recived a message it was Unwanted Message, She saved the message in her mobile, i want to know the details, do the needfull and avoid this type of SMS, otherwise i will go to the next steps.
