Dear sir


Kindly advise me to take corrective action for the harassment / financial loss caused to me by Tata docomo.




My tata Docomo number is [protected], prepaid mobile and my name is SK Vashisth. I am pained to inform you that Tata Docomo is cheating me repeatedly . It is a campaign to deduct talk time unilaterally without initiation of any from my end.

First I received a sms from 54321 that I quote “ you have been successfully subscribed to weekly sweet nothing alerts . you have been charged Rs 10 and your service will be activated within 24 hours” . this message was received on 23 Jun 2010 at 02:09 PM.

I Lodged a complaint with customer care vide complain number GBL09201155 and my money was returned on 24 Jun 2010.


Again I received a sms from 54321 that I quote “ you have been successfully subscribed to weekly Tollywood aletrs.. you have been charged Rs 10 and your service will be activated within 24 hours” . this message was received on 25 Jun 2010 at 11:58 AM.

I Lodged a complaint with customer care vide complain number GBL09214231 and which is still pending.

My money was again deducted on 27 Jun 2010 and I was sent a Joke which I have not requested for. Simply my phone was kept on table.

Today on 29 Jun 2010 at 1:41 PM , Again I received a sms from 54321 that I quote “ you have been successfully subscribed to weekly joke alerts. you have been charged Rs 10 and your service will be activated within 24 hours”.


Kindly note that these actions are being initiated unilaterly from Tata docomo side .
I request you not to harass me by cutting my hard earned money .

How you can do it . Please return my money immediately.

I hope truth will prevail.

This person is truly right. Tata docomo people do such things regularly, by mistake on 13 th august i dialled *123*3# It was done by mistake by my friend. suddunly a message came that u have activated santa banta jokes. and 30 rs were deducted from my account. But today i read after my balance check . For santa banta jokes It was not this *123*3# to type. but something else to type. My mobile number is[protected].

..
U r lucky that they are takling ur complains. in my case they just say we cant hear u. What can i do ?

    TATA docomo[protected] is locked PUK by my daughter. Her elder sister went to TATA DOCOMO office @ BASEERBAGH only to be sent back stating address proof does not match with the record. It was telephone bill , a copy which was submitted against my name . i have spoken to them , chatted with them but my mobile is still immobile .This is the service they provide once SIM is purchased available at any nukkad / gali shop.. i request that my problem be solved in situ without harassing me further.
    my card got blocked by mistake
    And i clicked some number for puk
    then it got rejected
    plz help me dude

      Hi,
      I took a tata docomo number (pre-paid) and few days back while I was making a call I got a flash msg for which I by mistake pressed ok, when I actually was making call, without any intent. Within a few second I got a msg that I am charged Rs 5 for football alerts and I should send a msg to 54321 as DAYFWC. I did that. But next day again I get a msg that it is auto activated and I am charged Rs. 5 and I need to send msg to 54321 to deactivate. I once again did that. But again the next day I get the same msg that it is auto charged and this is goign on.

      How can they keep charging even after I discontinue it. Infact I never wanted it. I think TATA is cheating people everyday with this kind of services. Just because it is only Rs5 ppl may not even bother because the process is longer and costs much more to followup.

      I am informing this to alert others not to get into this trap and also see how these corporate white color thiefs can be punished.

      Yes, I have same experience. Tata Docomo has automatically starting the cricket alert service on my cell no. [protected], without my consent. and has charged Rs. 5 per day for that unwanted service. I tried to deactivate the same, but i cannot. I contacted customer care centre, but in vain. They are cheating customers. Also, email cannot be sent on their email- address. Web-site is also not functioning.

      this is jayaprakash reddy and my number is [protected], 54321 msg alerts is activated for my number, i dont want the stupid alerts, i called up even the customer care, no use, so please try to deactivate it as early as possible
      Please deactivate my India New Zealand series cricket alerts. I dont want you to charge me any money for this. I dont like cricket and I dont want any cricket updates. My number is [protected].
      The same happened with me...
      My mom mistakenly subscribed to the news alerts for which I was charged Rs 30...
      After a month a message came that if I wanted to unsubscribe these alerts I had to dial 155223.
      I did so but then a voice came that this is not a valid no.and I had to prefix 0.
      I did so and tried but then too i was said that it was not a valid no.
      It is all being continuing since many months...
      My dad works in Tata Teleservices but he too could not get rid of these unwanted alerts ...

        Yesterday I had recharged for Rs.111 in Tatadocomo online prepaid.. but still now no confirmation is made and the recharge amount is not added, but my amount was deducted from my Bank A/c.. Now I have lost Rs.111 unnecessarily which can be given to a beggar instead of Tatadocomo.

        RECHARGING MY ACCOUNT _ PREPAIID — DISCREPANCY IN RECHARGING MY ACCOUNT

        Ref: Mobile # [protected] – Kolkatta (was on roaming in Pune, Maharastra )

        Name : Arati Podder - my mother.

        Inspite of recharging the above account for Rs. 500/- through the an agent in Aundh, Pune on 12/10/2008, I did not get any talk time. Instead, within few seconds I received a message from you saying " Recharge successful on 12/10/2008 at 7:47 pm talk time Rs. 0.01 MRP Rs.500 Trans ID[protected]. sender: Echarge . Message center: [protected]. Sent: 12- Oct-2008 19:47:14", what does this mean? why have you not given any talk time for this amount?



        Since I did not get any talk time for Rs. 500, I tried recharging again with Rs. 100 through the same agent because it was urgent for me to keep some balance to atleast receive incoming calls as I was on roaming.This time I got a talk time of Rs. 87 vide your Transaction ID[protected] dtd. 12/10/2008.



        We are tired of talking to your bundle on seat warmers in your customer care cell who only knows to put us on never ending hold music/ cut off the line without a convincing and fruitful discussion.



        Also note that the validity of this SIM while buying was for life time but now the validity has come down to year 2010?????



        We request you to please refund the amount of Rs. 500/- if you can not give us talk time worth that amount, else we will be forced to approach the consumer forum wherein we will ask for compensation from Airtel for wasting our time, energy and all the inconveniences caused.

        tata mobile — Did not get any amount on Recharge

        I have a Tata Indicom prepaid mobile No. [protected].

        On 8th Oct, 2009 I do a recharge of Rs 60 at around 6:16 p.m, I got the message that your recharge is successful and your current balance is Rs 81. I paid the amount and returned, but to my surprise, I was not able to dial any numbers. When I check the balance on 12527, it is saying that balance is 81 paise instead of Rs 81.

        I went to dealer, but the dealer was saying that recharge is succesfful as you got the message.

        Please help me in this.

        I am Srinadh. I was doing online recharge for 100RS using Tata Docomo online recharge facility around 6pm IST today (3rd July). The mobile number is [protected].

        Then I entered my SBI Debit card details to do online payment. After submitting all the details the website timeout giving a server error. 100RS has been deducted from my account but mobile has not been recharged.

        Kindly look into this matter and either refund back my money into my account or recharge the mobile.

        On 4th Jan 2011, I made a recharge of Rs. 222 (2 times i.e a total of Rs. 444/-) through TATA Docomo online Prepaid. The amount was deducted from my ICICI Bank a/c but Recharge amount was not added. On same day I called the customer care and was assured that matter would be resolved. On 5th too I called up customer care to know status, she took all the transaction details and assured of resolving the issue. Again on 6th I called up customer care and was shocked to know that no complaint was registered. The lady again took all the details and registered the complaint and assuring that I will receive a SMS about status. Today is 7th Jan 9PM and nobody from TATA Docomo has bothered to contact me or tried to resolve the issue. I feel that I have just lost Rs 444/-. unnecessarily.

        Is the another way of making money by looting loyal customers ? I swear if my issue is not resolved I am gonna change the servive provider once the number portability comes in.

              Tata docomo is one of the worst gprs service provider according to me. I recharged my number for GPRS contineously 3 times in 3 months and I am not able to browse or send emails when it is very urgent. I am not able to connect only. I repeatedly called up customer care and some times they keep my calls on hold for more than 30 mins saying that senior would answer my call. then they disconnect without informing me. Its so annoying. Also Yesterday when I called a customer service personnel, he said- dont compare tata docomo with Airtel, docomo is a small child infront of Airtel. Is this the answer any employee has to give to a customer. He should be immediately sacked from his job according to me. He is of no use to the company. I am going to discontinue my docomo number and going for Airtel which is the best in bangalore and in entire karnataka state. Sorry to you Tata docomo...poor service. I dont know how they are emerging service provider for the year 2009. Shame on you. Moreover, they have very week signal inside bangalore. My call gets dropped always and I am not able to stick to this provider anymore

                              I bought a toshiba laptop recently and was told that there was a free tata photon offer along with it. When I used the offer to get the photon, they first told me that I have to pay Rs.1099 as one-time charge for buying the photon - which itself is ridiculous because the offer brochure said "Free - Tata Photon".
                              When I asked them about it, they said it is the first three months usage that is free. After that they will continue me in a plan for Rs.750 a month. I specifically asked if I would get any bill for the first three months, and the sales rep said "No sir. Only if you use more than 2GB". So I said ok and bought it. Now they have sent me a bill, and are saying I have to pay Rs.750 per month rental charge! Its ridiculous to say "2GB free", when they actually charge Rs.750 as rental charge!
                              I am returning the device and cancelling any future deals with tata indicom.

                                    If you haven't noticed then it is time to realize and open your eyes to check the balance in each movement.

                                    The issue is noticed for people who is having more balance E.g. balance more than 50Rs..
                                    1)One day you will see that you have been successfully subscribed for Love messages..and charged Rs10
                                    2)You will be wondering who the hell is playing with my mobile...You will leave it crap..
                                    3)Next day another message you have been successfully subscribed for Jokes..and charged Rs5.
                                    4)You will start thinking something fishy somewhere..and start to call customer care.
                                    5)Customer care will give us the code and lots of sms code craps.. Useless and waste of time.
                                    6)You will start noticing that the balance in your mobile started dropping very fast...
                                    7)Now we will start realizing the heat and try to unsubscribe. Please note if you send a wrong format to 54321 it is charged!!!!
                                    8)If you closely watch your mobile while unlocking the keypad you will see that a push message is waiting for the action.. When ever you unlock the keypad when there is a push message a auto reply SMS will go back to 54321 and will not be visible in your sent items.
                                    9)Doing this docomo makes sure that customer will not have any idea what is being send and what he is going to get back as service until it is active so that some amount is always deducted.
                                    10)If you call customer care they are always helpless and will tell sorry 10 to 15 time..
                                    11) The ultimate objective is take money from your pocket without your permission is successful. 54321 is a money pumping machine for docomo..

Beaware of your balance always and if it happens. complain to consumer court immediately, and listen don't forget to give a perfect gali to customer care person.Actually they do all things in their duty hours for getting promotion.
                                    I totally agree with this. My money gets reduced to 1 Rs and it doesnt matters if the balance is 50 or nly 10. And got tired complaining about this. Customer care person will giv a number thats totally fake i guess as it doesnt works.

I completely agree with all the above mentioned comments.every day you will see that you have been successfully subscribed for kanada regional tips, health tips, love tips, some other idiotic tips...and charged Rs10.there is no proper network also in this idiotic service.I request all the people who use docomo sim to dump in dust bin because how many ever times u call customer care service its off no use. they dont know to communicate itself.on top of that will shout at us.

                                    EveryOne more than DOCOMO, there is one service named Airtel, the way they take money from us without our permission is comparably high and it is more than ten times than DOCOMO.
                                    Airtel has come up with the money pumping strategy of AUTO-SMS renewal pack, xx activating packs, bla bla bla to meet their managers pressure to meet targets of some xxx crores of profit.And also they will implement it and Send sms to you once you subscribe SMS pack, you gets message, "Auto SMS pack is activated in your mobile and auto activation can be deactivated with *333*___#"
                                    User Types *333*___# -> Call -> Invalid Request.
                                    And next month it gets activated.
                                    Also the customer care cannot speak to us for more than a minute(it is the rule but the customer care manager), and they tend to cut the call whether the problem is solved or not.
                                    The people educated like us itself is faked easily by telecommunication businesses, then in our half the population is uneducated and they doesnot comes to know even balance tends to reduce and also the customer care easily fakes them saying "I will unsubscribe it, but they will not refund the money back that is charged unnecessarily"

                                    So "tonnes and tonnes money of corrupt is happening even now in our Telecommunication Service company" other than "2G SCAM" and it is "MONEY SUBSCRIPTION SCAM AND WAR"
                                    I was using Tata Docomo sim, one day got an sms that you have activated for cricket scores & charged Rs 5 per day.
                                    I called customer care n asked to deactivate the service, they replied that no such service is activated to your number.
                                    And was also not aware of for what service money is deducted. They gave some numbers to send message to deacticate the service,
                                    but everytime go reply that "invalid code" everyday Rs 5 was getting deducted from my balance
                                    I called customer care hundred times to stop all this nonsence, bt it goes on n on
                                    At last i thrown away the sim n switched to Vodafone, n they are really serving far better than Docomo
                                    I will suggest not to go for Docomo sim.

                                      its concert to the TATADOCOMO cheating customer by sending false offers by sms.
                                      I got one sms from TATADOCOMO mention get unlimited GPRS for one day on just rupee 5.
                                      After activating the offer they sent sms that its unlimited for 10 MB. But the very first message was not told unlimited means 10 MB only.

                                      So they send sms like its unlimited then they change of meaning o[censored]nlimited by telling 10 mb latter on subscription.

                                      I have kept all the SMS sent by them, I want to know, how I can stop this cheating.

                                      Tata Docomo — Cheating on GPRS plans

                                      Unable to acess Internet. I have activated GPRS 48/- 2 GB plan in DOCOMO number last month also configured all the settings with the help of c.care executive still I am getting Network error message. If I asked the same to C.Care they will agree there is problem at there end and it will be rectified within 3 days. I called repeatedly for every 3 days for 2 weeks but the same response. It is nothing but cheating,

                                        I've purchased a tata Docomo Postpaid Sim card 2 weeks back on 18 July 2014 from a local dealer/staff named Mr Babu (Mob No :[protected]) from Tata Docomo Stall placed in Avadi. I've submitted all the proofs requested by him.
                                        Still the Sim is not activated and shows registration failed. I have brought to his notice about this two times and he replied that the sim will be activated in the evening of the days i contact him at stall and he has noted the same in his mobile. After that whenever i tried to contact him to given his mobile no is either switch off/not reachable/busy/ he will not pick up the call.
                                        This is really embarrassing. I even messaged him about this. I dont know how come such a brand like docomo could employ/ give responsibility to such a irresponsible person who is not bothered about his customers to whom he sells and market the product.
                                        I have even contacted Tata Docomo nearest store at Parrys, Chennai but they told to contact Headoffice at OMR, Chennai. Even the staff can’t help. This seems ridiculous and frustrating.
