i have tata sky connection, my set top box hang, can not work with remote control so i ask for technical support, but company ask me to pay visiting charge rs.170 and extra for damaged parts,
and they forcing me to pay 499/- for annual warranty facility.
but why i should pay if the settop box own by company, we pay monthly charges for the service, if there is problem in the hardware why we should pay charges?
please help me

    On calling customercare, it will first market the package and then keep you on hold.. after that you will be told to hold and informed that your waiting time is 3 minutes ...that is not over ...after 5 mins you will be told that your waiting time is 10 mins...keep holding on and on...

      1) on calling customercare, it will first market the package and then keep you on hold.. after that you will be told to hold and informed that your waiting time is 3 minutes ...that is not over ...after 5 mins you will be told that your waiting time is 10 mins...keep holding on and on...
      2) there was a recharge of Rs 500/- in my account...i called to check how and from where this happened as i thought maybe someone from my family might have recharged...there was no information made available to me... had to go through an ordeal to find out but there was no resolve...then two days later there is a call that it was done by mistake and the same will be reversed that too without my permission...total DADAGIRI...

      Now coming to the latest issue... we have been facing a disruption in telecast since the last few days ...everything is working fine and suddenly there is no signal and the cloudy weather message is displayed. On putting off the power of the set top box and putting it on sometimes the signal is restored sometimes it is not...

      After having lodged a complaint with great difficulty as mentioned above, there was a technician visit scheduled... the technician has come and checked, he said that there was some STANDBY mode selection because of which there may be this issue...if the problem persists the set top box may need to be replaced or maybe the cable wire needs to be replaced... all was ok in the evening there was uninterrupted viewing till late in the night..but in the morning again there is the same problem...(still wondering if there was a problem with the cable how was there uninterrupted viewing for several hours..)

      On again calling the customer care and explaining what we have gone through i am told that this could be due to solar outage...is there anyone from your end who can identify the problem and let us know why this is happening or will there be this ping pong of maybe this or maybe that...?

      Am still waiting for the problem to be resolved...

        My Tata Sky Subscriber Id is [protected]. Tata Sky was not working and we were not able to watch TV from 28.2.2016.
        We lodged the complaint to Tata Sky customer care having number [protected] and we told them that we have a Common Dish Antina for our building - Kingscross, Green City, Ambernath-east.We also told the C.C that they will not charge us a single Rupee if the problem is with the Common Dish Antina or any other item which is outside our house.The C.C. Agreed to it. But finally RS.170 was deducted from our account even though the problem was
        with the Common Dish Antina.

        I have received reply from Tata Sky Ltd at 12.06 p.M. Today as follows---
        Dear Subscriber,

        Thank you for registering your request through email.

        Your Service Request number is N5GULUG, “Our representative will get in touch with you shortly”.

        But no one contacted and I can not watch the TV.
        Complaint not resolved.Tata sky Ltd did not repay me Rs.170.
        And I am not able to watch TV.

          I have been contacting your company regarding the ill functioning of my tata sky digi box past 3months. The service providers have been so irresponsible as I have loged a complaint couple of times.
          First I was told that the box had a problem and they replaced it which costed us Rs.800 and to bring to your notice it was a second hand box . When we called them back stating that we were still facing the same problem they said we had to change the cable adapter . We did change one but the service operator came back the next day and took away the new cable stating that there was no need for a new cable. Now my hd remote stopped working. If the same continues I am afraid my tv will get spoilt. I had called the customer care couple of times and did speak to the senior manager there but still there hasnt been any move from their side.
          Worst service ever with a terrible set of employees .

            Not receiving channels that I have paid to TATA SKY and after contacting TATA SKY, thier people say that the technician will come today but no response from any person. This has happened from the past a few days and till date I haven't got any response.

              I would like to inform all please do not go for Tata Sky connection anymore as the service has deteriorated like anything. I am a Tata Sky customer for more than seven years however I am surprised with the service this time. After repeated complaint to the Tata Sky Customer Care the problem with the set top box is not resolved. On top of that they had deducted balance of Rs 270/- without prior intimation from my account. The technician called and told me that please take a video of the breaking images and whats app me. When I refused to do so he said we cannot rectify the problem unless we keep your set top box for a 24 hours observation at our office. I am shocked with the audacity of a technician.Finally the same technical had cancelled my service ticket (WO#N4AJ1WN) without informing me and resolving the issue. My Subscriber ID - [protected].

                Dear sir, I am M.Rajender i have tried to deactivate the ACTIVE ENGLISH
                MY ID no [protected]
                just i call received from tata sky 26.02.2016 on the evening.
                But i am not given any conformation they have activated channel ACTIV ENGLISH and deducted amount Rs 59/- immediately.
                Hence, i have tried to deactivate by registered mobile number [protected] so they are connecting to the excutive iam waiting on phone but my work is not completed
                So, please kindly deactivate and dont call such type of calls again.

                    Tata Sky service is very poor, Down again and again also careless after handover work order to Tatasky service team. Service team of tatasky is very lazy, commit many times in a day and day by day but not come, told we are very busy not sit only for you, mannerless persons and threat me that we are not coming do what you can do and complain any where we will not come.

                    I face servela time some of the channel are very disturbed and even i compliant about and still having same issue and also they are service charged as well.

                    Don't buy Tata sky... they will not care customer and they not satisfy cumster issue ...

                      I am a subscriber of tata sky vide id [protected] and on yearly subscription upto 28 Feb 2016. In between they called up and offered a service of Dongle for recording which I resisted many a times . They told me it will take only Rs 320/- and finally I agreed. But when the bill came They charged me with Rs 826/-. When my annual subscription for TV package was end 0n 28 Feb 16, I did recharge for one month with Rs 225/-. Now I am getting sms saying my account is in MINUS hence I need to pay more money to recharge TV. Speaking to customer care it is found that they Charged another 300 rupees from yearly pack account hence it is in minus. I have not even used for one day these services for they charged Rs 1126/-. This is a clear cheating and to be refunded immediately.

                        My Tatasky connection is new. It has not completed one year. As per information provided by your helpline, there is no service charge for first year. Still I am receiving repeated remainders to pay the same. On helpline, up to your seniors, they all agree for the same. If service call is payable during the first year of connection, I should have been informed beforehand which is not done. You people are unnecessarily harnessing me, when there is clear mention of free service within warranty period.
                        Please explain me why should I pay service charge within warranty period?

                            My Tata sky prepaid recharge connection account no. is [protected]. I surprised to know that A scheme has been launched by Tata sky for one year recharge payment of Rs. 1660 for those selected ID, s who has closed their connection in the recent 4 to 5 months back and not applicable for the customers who are associated since 7 to 8 years with TATA as per the discussion with Representive of Tata Sky. I have the following queries in this regard as discussed with their representative and could not be answered.
                            1. Is it necessary to close the connection for at least three to four months to take benefit of deposit for full one year for regular customer.
                            2. Tata is known as a name of Trust who is known for his quality and transparency. Can we say that now the company has started the policy to get new customer and loosing the regular customer like Reliance and other companies for the reason which is best known to Tata Management.
                            3. Why the benefits is not being to their regular customer.
                            4. It is also observed that generally a call is received to customer for subscription of a particular channel and even the disagreement of customer, the channel is initiated and customer is known when he found the increased subscription in next month and a busy person generally not bothered assuming rental fee might be increased.
                            I want to satisfy myself as I was not expecting that It can happened in Tata company.

                              I had raised a complaint yesterday as there were no signals in either of my three connection. The technician vsited me and informed that the dish and connector would need to be changed. I asked it to be done same day (yesterday) but he requested that since the no. of calls were high therefore it would be done tomorrow. I cooperated. He he agreed to visit the next day.

                              Since morning I have spoken to them five times (2 times - they put me on hold 20-25 min) requesting for status but each time they told me that the call is on hold and technician will visit us in half an hour.From morning till 5 in the evening no one came and the call center executive just kept playing passing the pass.

                              HOPE LESS!!

                              Every set top box replaced stopped working in exactly 2 months. Tatasky is providing me faulty set top boxes on each installation.
                              Even if I am ready to pay extra for a new set top box and additional warranty, they have clearly denied in providing it.

                              It is being very lethargic in even providing me a refund, when I became tired of dumb service and demanded disconnection.
                              Truly hopeless service and pathetic customer support. If it would have been installation of new connection tatasky would have called and followed up 100 times.

                              Harassment towards its customers and cheap tactics of earning money seems to be a new way to make profit for tatasky.

                                  I am Rangbahadur Saw, one of your customer of Tata sky. I am very upset by your response after calling at customer care. I just bought a new pack with HD channels (costing Rs 1900) and only 2 channels are coming and after calling at your customer care no. Ur employes are not willing to attain my phone after 30-40min of calling, my call ws finally held. And after listening to my prblms ur employee gave me wrong information... I don't like this type of behaviour o[censored]r employees...

                                        This is the 25th time i have submitted a request for a service person to come check and start my television service. it has become a monthly service like situation which should not happen. highly disappointing, tv starts working when the person comes to repair and stops working after the person leaves. they blame our usage and take long time to reply to answers. for payment, calls start coming weeks prior to expiry date, but half the months, the service is of. i don't like being charged for switched off television. totally random service as they have no regard for the consumer. feels like one should kick out the set top box and burn it. if we refuse to pay, we get 1000's of extortive calls.
                                        desired solution should be free rewiring of the whole set top box and free refund f last 15 days of no service.
