I am forwarding my grievences, which is against Tatasky.
This LOOT is going on all India basis by Tatasky.

Further, I want to know consumer court in/around Delhi, where I can lodge complaint and also a PIL (procedure) against Tatasky besides various concerned ministries.....
for My Countryman to be Served Properly...
As they Always say that our representative wil contact shortly but very seldom do ... and

Sub.: Quality VERY VERY POOR - SEND YOUR PERSON immediately to check as I am requesting since beginning...

Letters on TV screen are seen blurring (for channel names etc.) and picture qulity POOR and Quality Level VERY POOR while testing even by your own service personnel (Report attached). My transaction status removed from my Account intentionally by Tata's.

I think at Tata's EVERYBODY is just drawing salary and doing Nothing for their consumers.. A very very serious matter. I wrote to you earlier also, but may I know what action and responses you made to me. Pl. tell. As per Registrar of Companies directives it is required one email id to be given on their website and resolve all the grievences by the working Director or his appointees (if any), so I am forwarding this mail to you Sir.

Pl. REPLY to my mail and GET feedback from me as well as after sending senior executive with appropriate instruments (and not under training personnel) to install Dish and Set top box as my picture quality is below accepted level (report attached herewith)- Should I send actual snapshots taken from my TV showing poor quality level?) and pl. note that you are also IGNORING this. Also send me Bills as your company has sent only Receipts which does not constitute Bill/(s). I want proper Bills with mention of Service Tax / VAT etc. (and not mention as applicable on receipt)...+ Resolve my all other pending issues by TODAY evening, as next 2 days may be holidays for senior people at Tata....(Saturday & Sunday), so they MUST think of their consumers also.

I am approaching Concerned Ministeries, ROC, Press and mention all about this DIGITISATION (being made compulsory in 4 cities soon, while quality nobody is caring-rather it is worse than the cable TV). All this is happening and going on Openly and everybody is aggressive onver considering ONLY 30 days instead of 31 days or actual month date (for 1 month by Tata wrongly), for which Tatasky has got no reply till date. Pl. send reply thr' email IMMEDIATELY..

As I have not obtained any response till date thr' emails nor any CONCRETE phone call from you making any Resolutions, I am writing again...in the hope that Tata's will awake and get note of my grievences one day ... and give me compensation (for poor services, mental agony, not able to watch TV because of Tata's poor show).

As per the directives of Trai and guidelines to set-up Dish at appropriate angle, tatasky is FAILING in all respects and even their own staff admit it (proof enclosed).

Wjhat's more TATASKY is taking days to respond that too without ANY CONCRETE RESOLUTION.

Is there any instrument with Tatasky to measure both angles of Dish (pl. also tell what best angles should be there for my location as these angles vary depending upon my location and MUST be told to each and every client at the time of installation with Proper Installation report throughout India, which tatasky is ignoring PRESENTLY) and I expect tatasky Directrs to advise their senior persons to be sent to my res. and see for themselves preferably on 02.10.12 IMMEDIATELY (after confirming thr' email and call at [protected]) and set proper angles (both) so that I can start watching Tatasky.

Now I am left with none as my cable was diconnected and even Tatasky is worse than the cable (quality-wise)

Further send my proper bill of full amount paid and resolve all issues WITHOUT ANY DELAY from your company's side, as I am really feeling mental agony and dis-satisfaction towards your company.
In case I don't get any response, I will think that the Director's also donot want to resolve and give any resolution to its aggrieved customers and even DONOT care to provide any appropriate bill (Pl. note that receipt is not a bill) + other grievences as already pointed out. My so much time is wasted in mailing and you are doing NOTHING.....

Pl. find attached YOUR OWN person's report completely failing in performance Test (poor strength) and he does not know. Even angles setting he does not know.

Can you send some trained professional I am asking since my installation and give me my due compensation.
I definitely want good Strength and my date of starting MUST be from your proper set-up...

Action requested: To resolve each and evry issue IMMEDIATELY and also to compensate me and mend/ change the staff who is too lethargic and does not care for GENUINE customers like me and reply thr' email all resolutions (if to be made at all).

Note: All data is recorded by me on day to day basis to prove lethargic issues by Tatasky service people....I am really fed-up (never expected from Tata Sky Ltd.)

I am really fed up with the extra poor service and non-response of Tatasky.



Now I must move to consumer court and send to VOICE and other concerned agencies, as still SO MANY resolutions are unattended and Not cared for. This is perhaps the last mail for my asking and getting response thr' email (my time is very very precious pl. note this), as you have not at all cared to look into my grievences as elaborated (only some of the points) below (see all my previous emails and auto generated responses and make resolution point by point):-



I want response thr' email (Must) now as no proper installations are made till date besides so many other issues related to my Dish connection and others general. And your HD never worked as wrote in all my emails. Even SD is very poor level (even approved by your own person). I want re-fixing & checking as it is showing poor levels and I may go to consumer court and TRAI, as no response for so many days besides giving Rs. 107.76 credit (I am not begging dear Tatasky) but making you aware towards your Rightful duties which you have been failing till date in answering and resoving my issues.You even grabbed Rs.3.28 from me (for 1 day HD connection- Now I DEFINITELY want with compensation as by repeating so many times to refund and Tatasky ADAMANT not to refund, either it has not made any mistakes or if any then it must give with Compensation- It is as simple as that), as INSPITE of clearcut instructions in time that I donot want any HD after expiry of free 1 month (As in any case it was not functioning at the very start) and even today I presume that my SD (with current package i.e. without deducting any amount from my balance) is valid till (As snapshot taken today only). I always wanted confirmation from Confusing software from tata as they would not mention which package is valid till date. But even after asking Tatasky has failed in the past and still not replying.



Moreover, I even DID NOT get any bills for my payments yet and asked so many times. You disconnected my HD (although 1 day late) immediately but not sending me bills even after asking so many times. Don't you think it is rather a crime not to issue a Proper Tax paid Bill/(s) showing Entertainment Tax paid and Service Tax paid bills or VAT paid bills for the Set Top Box for the full payment/(s) made by me thr' banking channel. Any delay on your part must be supported with compensation (As poonchane mein bhi nahin diya to kya diya). Hurry up, time is very short dear friend....and resolve all my issues one by one- see all my mails since beginning.

Inspite of reminding over emails and calls, I ask have you made any attempts to correct the same as I have talked so many times to helpline but in vain. Pl. note that as I am not able to see any transaction history so I am NOT responsible for any thing wrong in the same. Who is going to refund the costs of these calls? Really making fools of others.



I am determined to let Tata's not to make any wrong things as next step will be to send the mesage to all the Directors of the company as they also must know what is happening in the company- Really strange.

General points for public at large:

> Tatasky must start giving 31 days pm or on actual days/month basis depending upon the no. of days in that particular month.
> Tatasky must start sending tax paid invoices to all (for online payments).
> Tatasky must re-change the POSITINONG of Channel viewing so that least no. of key buttons need to be pressed. Tatasky canconsult me for this.
> Tatasky must give a certificate of installation showing correct Azimuth and Elevation Angles (at a particular house position) in writing, as they are now making fool of the people by fixing readymade angles and not caring for perfect angles at which the sam emust be positioned.

> Tatasky must mention all packages Due dates SEPARATELY as now only the shortest valid package is mentioned and taht too without even mentioning the package name.

> Tatasky must attend to all grievences within max. of 48 hrs as per promise, OTHERWISE they Must offer some incentives to the GENUINE problems, as a compensation for delayed service attending by Tatasky.

> Tatasky must send emails for proper replies (in response) and also send SMS for all the grievences/ resolutions made by tatasky.

> Tatasky Must stop immediately continuity of the same package after its expiry period and rather unless the client opt for any package for next month afresh he/ she MUST not be charged @previous packge (after its expiry date by default) (as normally the people forget to replan). Moreover all the freebies MUST not at any cost be made in continuous, as Tatasky offer some freebies (Mainly on Saturdays or any other freebies) and then continue for next month by deducting charges. Tatasky must think that the person accepted it as a freebie and then may forget to stop the same, so Tatasky must not continue freebie (after its expiry period) and then charge to the client.

> Tatasky must not block "Transaction status" (As in my case for so many days) and even after reminding not reviving the same.
> Tatasky must give a tollfree helpline no. for sorting out any grievences or calling for any package/ plan changes etc., as the present no. is charged @Rs.1 + taxes per minute call (3 times more that a local call)

> Set Top Box being supplied by Tatasky must be latest and must not be more than 3 months old make.

> Cable must be supplied by Tatasky at the very time of Installation itself (As in my case no mention of VOD and installation training was given by your persons who came fr installations and they even did not position the dish properly. Then you give me Rs. 107.76 as a credit by countinng delayed giving of thernet cable and installtions, but dear friend even till date it is not properly installed. So will Tatasky now recount the date of my starting since the quality level is OK and I take snapshots of all the happenings? or I have to fight again and again and ask for my righteous thing as merely sending the person does not position my dish in perfect position (your person was not even having any angle checking device and he himself found bad quality level).



Important:

Tatasky must give me credit / a thanks offering certificate for creating awareness highlighting the great mistakes in violations (I think so as a consumer) going on for so many days and still going-on.

Sub.: Subscriber ID: [protected] (M: [protected]) Stop my HD after free 1 month as quality during freebie period and to credit all extra debits made by Tatasky as I had already instructed earlier to stop HD (after expiry of free 1 month given initially).


Even My current packs does not show any HD package as above presently (in TATASKY account information) and moreso I had directed thr’ my email (2 times) earlier to stop my HD package after expiry of free period of 1 month. In the absence of CONTROVERY over expiry period (as first of all on day 1 when my payments wer made to TATASKY thr’ NET banking Tatasky was CLEVER enough to start my package from the date of payments and then Now it is again showing very much vcleverness Not To cancel my HD package even while I had asked to cancel the same (after expiry of my free offer of 1 month) clearly th’ my mails and again thr’ this mail. So instead of Credit balance of Rs. 107.76 (see below), it is ONLY showing Rs. 104.48. It is to be pointed out that TATASKY is not having uniform and clearcut policuy to serve the customers in right earnest since beginning as my account snapshots are varying everyday (TATASKY seems confused) and agreed to their mistakes (only a little as they had offered only Rs. 107.76 while no concrete answeres were given for my so many grievences made thr’ emails to [protected]@tatasky.com and even [protected]@tatasky.com. I am determined to end this CHEATING bsuiness by TATASKY now by making my grievences to the consumer court, TRAI and if deemed fit even in the Parliament and law making agencies even also, as this is a very serious nature of mistakes made by Tatasky as the clearcut violations are going on openly like non issue of any proper Bills (while the consumers are making payments), only 30 days being counted for pm (per month package, I ask why less?) instead of counting varying days depending upon the actual month of package or 31 days (why anybody can’t give a single pie more) and if Tata’s cannot part even with single pie then I demand at least this should be made 30.5 days. This is not a small cheating as 5 days or 6 days (in a leap year) * Rs. 300 average package rate per month (or Rs. 3600 per year and CHEATINg of 6 days per year means grabbing Rs.59-60 per year for my countryman * 70 million (7 crores) so it comes to Rs. 42 crore per year. I want Tata’s and many others (pl. see all my previous emails). Moreso Tatasky people don’t even know and set the exact angles at a particular house location (they don’t come prepared) and hence DOES not issue any Installation certificate and get customer’s signature on the same like the position of my dish is not proper since day 1 and even after making adjustment once the quality level is very poor (as checked by tatasky own personeel himself- already told many times in my email) but Tatasky DID not bother to send the person with proper angle measuring instruments (to verify the present wrong position and also to make th epostion perefctly OK) and also come with HD checking instruments (if any with Tatasky).

Further my SD package is showing due date 11 Oct., 2012, so it means I have the package validity till 10 Oct., 2012, and I MUST not be deducted even a single paisa till 10 Oct. 2012 (as I still don't know upto what periods my which package was valid since beginning I am asking this thing and you are NOT CARING at all. I must have been shown my system (account information this thing since beginning but even today it is not there). So, in the absence of non-clear guidelines( rather confusing to gain self advantage by Tatasky), I ask tatasky to clarify on this point as later-on it shall be FULLY responsible for levy of any charges unless my package due date comes which is showing as on 11 Oct., 2012.

> Even till date the Dish is not at proper angle (YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO INSTALL IT PROPERLY w.r.t. both angles as I requested earlier and your person later visited without any instruments (surprising) to position my Dish). Your own person found quality level very poor when viewed on my screen (Samsung 5000 series 32" LED).

> YOU must give me all my Bills (for payments made) which HAS even not being cared to provide TILL DATE.

> Last date of validity of cleartrip voucher has not been provided TILL DATE (inspite of asking so many times). It is the duty of service provider to give me the last date of validity of any freebies (and not the company from which freebies are provided).

> You must tell last date of HD and SD separately and show on my account information.

Pl. note that I was given 1 month HD package, but still I DONOT KNOW, when it is expiring, So thr' this mail (as per guidelines) I ask Tatasky ONLY to stop HD package after expiry of my time period (It is showing only start date 7 Aug., 2012 but not showing any expiry, while it must show-see attachment).



Although it is not required to ask for stoppage of any Freebies being given as freebies cannot be on continuous basis (as people forget to cancel freebies and then Tatasky is clever enough to charge for the same for next month (while not cancelling the freebies) after its expiry of time so through this mail I am making it very clear that I DONOT want any HD after the period of my expiry only (in case Tatasky cancels it before my expiry period, the same will be at the sole risk of Tatasky and compensation and penalties be made upon tatasky for such lapses). So I again ask TATASKY to confirm when my HD is expiring, as my Tatasky account status does not show any date for HD expiry (anpshots attached herewith)



Further, my recharge My due date is showing 04.10.12 (wrong to fight in the consumer court anyway now). (not showing whether HD or SD but the customer has to assume it is SD only again a confusing thing Tatasky is making while I have clearly asked TATASKY to show different package expiry dates like SD, HD or add-ons but Tatasky will not show it in the pretext that customers may forget to stop undesired channels and Tatasky will have advantage of getting regular money for ongoing months...while customers may forget to cancel the same. So thr' TRAI and hon'ble court now I hope that freebies and last month package may not be in continuous until the customer selects a fresh package after the expiry but I hope better sense prevails on Tatasky and they mend themselves..



I have not got response to my many grievences to the extent that my picture quality is not upto mark and HD quality is out of question (While my TV is full HD) and Tatasky has not yet given me any bill for my payments and so many other most genuine issues..



> If any resolution is made by Tatasky at its will till date, it must also be communicated to me as no communication has been made to me till date so all the resolutions with penalties and mental agony along with wastage of my valuable and precious time be asked to be compensated from tatasky in the hon'ble consumer court now as Tatasky has not sent me even a single email for any of the resolutions nor confirmed me over the resolutions (only false promises have been made over the phone).

I have talked (by spending further my money @Rs. 1 per call* 20 minutes (approx.) = Rs.20 + taxes) but still it is showing the same thing. I ask why wrote Please call the helpline. (I know you have made it deliberately as You are not giving me any bills for my payments and Tatasky will now be caught on this issue).



Further, inspite of so many service requests, your person has not responded POSITIVELY. Now pl. note that I am moving Consumer court and Trai in a BIG way so that all the foolish things Tatasky is throwing on the people of my countryman can be checked and proper service be given by Tatasky. I heard that service of Tatasky is good as compared to others while quality is poor. I have noticed both quality and service not satisfactory at all.



> I demand my settop box guarantee be extended to 2 years (As it is supplied from so called 11 months old stocklot) or replaced with new gadget (of latest make) IMMEDIATELY by taking stocks from other cities as I was toild that in delhi latest make stock is exhausted.. How one can believe that it is tech-savvy gadget (set Top Box- I call it tata dabba). Can it take wi-fi as announced on your own TV help video or does it require cable to be attached for viewing VOD?

while my dear friend I have been given 2 months Free Package (Is it a false promise or is it sending confusing emails to me about my HD package expiry, pl. note you MUST clarify this as ALREADY told to you many a times earlier also, as my Free Offer is not going to be over within 7 days as and my Free Offer is VALID till 2 months and that too starting from the date of Proper Dish Positioning.... and all resolutions but you have been NOT CARING AT ALL and now sent me this mail again wasting my very much valuable time and creating confusion.. Pl. note that you cannot send emails like this by using CONFUSING language. You must compensate me heavily on this part.

If it is for creating CONFUSIONS that my HD package is to expire then you MUST tell this clearly, and PAY me compensation for creating this BIG confusion....

Further, it seems that Tatasky is only interested to get recharges, and not resolving any of the problems. Pl. note that you MUST send me mails clarifying all the positions as till date no REsolution mail has been recd. by me. This mail asking me that I have ONLY 7 days left is really harrassing.

As Tatasky Bangalore office has confirmed below that Invoice is attached herewith, I really wonder Tatasky is calling this a Invoice, while it is a Receipt of payment (that too for only Rs. 3999.00). Now one can easily understand that since my first complaint Tatasky is determined not to care for its customers at all and just do the same CARELESSLY.



This is really too much for Tatasky.



Pl. note that I want proper Invoice from Tatasky for my full amount of Rs. 6480.00 as paid besides RESOLUTION of all my problems (point by point), which has not yet been resolved with Tatasky and my REQUEST is to point by point (by replying thr' email) and not just sending reply to ONLY one point i.e. "Invoice copy" (Attached) and that too was found as Receipt not an Invoice (while Tata's very well know that there is a difference between Invoice and Receipt) and I always wanted Invoice, so pl. resolve ALL on war footing as Tatasky is sleeping over my problems and inspite of promises by nodal officers, my resolutions have not been cared for and met. Even reply has not been made to me for any of my resolution (except this receipt) which I have just received.



Now Tatasky today (25.08.12) afternoon is showing Due Date as 04.10.12. Pl. note that what does this mean? Did my 2 months end on 04.10.12? Is it not an offence on the part of Tatasky to show this date as 04.10.12? Will Tatasky give me heavy compensation, if this date is proved wrong. Pl. note that if this date is proved wrong then Tatasky must give me whole year free + othyer incentives. Again a foolish thing has been done by Tatasky. Pl. check my account and revert immediately as I am making Tata's awaken and they are ADAMANT not to bend. Anyway I am also adamant to make them only Right..... and feel the mistakes made by Tatasky (now time and again) and make due compensation (if they accept mistakes at their ends) otherwise consumer courts are there to resolve.... and Find Out The Truths....

Now I am left with nothing but to approach the appropriate authorities at my end and all my collegues ON INDIA level on a mssive scale..., as NOTHING concrete has been done in my case yet and now I seek further compensation for not resolving by non-replying of any of my queries (keeping silent) over so many issues points asked by me (to be replied by Tatasky).

I want further compensation for this great lapse on part of tatasky and has to reply in court of law. what fun tatasky is making?



rather till date no postitioning angle and proper installation report has been given to me for my dish (i still doubt it is not made as it should have been) by perfect angle positioning, as even at the time of visit of mr Bharat Singh, M: [protected] on 09.08.12, he found errors in installations as told many a times and trying to kick the dish (without even loosening the same) and when i confronted then he loosened and adjusted only once and then took the reading. when i asked him to see whether reading is increased to rotate it further, he did not try to even see (what does this mean) and should a proper installation report including its degree of fixing) and nuts tightening be given to the customers at the time of installation), so i ask tata people to give me the proper installation report besides clarification on all the points, otherwise i shall be forced to move to trai and consumer court immediately.

1) Ethernet Cable was not supplied (for viewing VOD programme as per Settop Box taken by me HD+ package (with VOD services) as on the date of Installation 06.08.12 (that too FAULTY installation - see point no. 2) and your person on 06.08.12 even did not talk about this. This is amounting to suppressing the service part on the part of Tatasky, as I could not use any VOD functions on the date of installations while actually I had paid full package money in advance incl. VOD (at least free programmes could have been seen by me and even paid if I wished, but I was not even informed of this at the very ONSET of installation, which was also done in a hurry without even proper adjusting of antenna). When I came to know I DEMANDED my rightful Ethernet cable and get started VOD functions, which was supplied as late as on 17.08.12, hence for all practical purposes my date of starting of New Connection has to be 17.08.12. Pl. note that this service cannot be called as an Add-on service by Tatasky as you called me over phone. I donot agree to this as a customer and was really disappointed to hear this.



2) Not proper Installation in the beginning on 06.08.12 aqt 6.00 PM

As already mentioned that your installation team must have Installed my Dish properly which they did not (as explained earlier-poor installation resulting in improper installation which was set right on 09.08.12 ONLY after I intervened). Even free show case movies is showing starting date as 09 Aug., 2012 in my account, why not 06.08.12 (if my

Anyway it becomes the duty of Tatasky to prove at any later stage that it was the latest model TATASKY had at the time of my initialisation of new connection in August 2012. Can Tatasky be believed that it has not imported any SETTOP BOX since Sept., 2011 i.e. since last 11 months!!! I think introspection is required by Tatasky.



5) Even today Cleartrip voucher validity is not being answered by Tatasky (while I had requested so many times). Pl. note that the validity has to be extended for want of any CLARIFICATION by Tatasky from the date it answers my query.





6) I do not see any 30 days (meaning of 1 month). Can Tatasky explain this? or where this is written on Tata sky website, as 1 month does not mean 30 days to me, while one takes the package for 1 month and not written 30 days package- a serious issue which perhaps Tatasky is not understanding as lacs of customers are befooled in the garb of reduced 1 day…



7) MY HD package should expire on 17.09.12 and normal package should expire on 17.10.12 which is still not showing as this is showing on my account information as late as 19.08.12 (snapshot taken by me) and saved on my system.

TataSky — Service level gimmicks

tata sky has strategically started playing with subscription packs that mislead customers. they started selling base packs all or pre-defined channels earlier. now they are stripping selective channels from the base packs into Gold packs like Sports Gold, Lifestyle Gold etc. at separate prises in addition to the price of base packs. this type of gimmick is negatively impacting customer's faith in expecting fair service offering from tatasky in future. if this continues, i would prefer going back to the cable operator..
forgot to mention they have also abruptly stopped airing all radio channels except one punjabi channel..

Since the last 1 month I am constantly bugged by the SBI cards Helpline No.[protected] atleast 8 to 10 times every day on weekdays & sometimes even on Sunday's. Eventually I had to register a complain with the customer service department of tata sky, they generated a complaint number 1-[protected] for our account number [protected]. The customer service operator said that the engineer would give us a call withing the next 24 hours and schedule an appointment.

Soon within 15-20 min the I received an SMS with the work order number informing me about the engineers phone number and also the fact that the appointment had been scheduled for next day i.e. 1st August 2009 at 14:10 p.m.

So the on 1st of Aug I gave the engineer a call an hour before just to confirm whether or not he is coming on time or not. To my surprise the engineer at the end of the phone informed me that he was from "Malad" and the engineer for my area i.e."Andheri" was someone else, thankfully he gave me the number of the concerned person.

As called the "correct number" I was told that the engineer will be a little late he will be there by 5 instead of 2 o clock. I thought no issues we can wait for a few more hours, but the engineer did not show up that day at all, and It was us who had to call up the number again and again to know the status.

Nonetheless I was told that the engineer would come tomm morning i.e on 2nd august 2009 as soon as possible i.e. between 930-10 am in the morning.

To be more sure this time I even registered a complaint with the call center and even they assured me that the engineer would make the visit between 10am-11am .I was also told that if I dont get connection in 48 hrs of my previous complaint then we would get a refund of that amount.(we will see if that happens)

The next day the engineer did visit but eventually at 2 clock. It turns out that the Dish had rusted.So they took the dish and said that they would be back at 5. That was on Sunday the 2nd of August 2009.

As I write this its almost 4:30 pm on the 3rd of August MONDAY!!! Still no sign of them fixing this issue, and we were infact informed that they can only make it tommorow.

In fact all through this ordeal IT is, I, the customer who has had to follow up with them instead of the other way around, so apart from the loss of channels I am also running up substantially higher amount of telephone bill.

Oh and I forgot there "policy" If your account is more then a year old then you have to pay 350 for an engineer visit (well actually the decision to charge is at the engineer's discretion).

All I have to say that I have LOST FAITH not only in TATASKY but also in the TATA group itself.
let see if they fix this problem tomm or not .
Well what do you know, for once they underpromised and over delievered, they fixed the issue at about 5 o clock today i.e. 3rd August 2009. Strange are the ways of indian corporates.

Tata Sky — Cheating by giving spurious material

Tata sky provides bad quality remote controls which do not last more then 15 months, they are not repairable & one has to keep paying Rs. 350 for new one. all remotes have only three months gurantee.

Tata Sky — Set top box installation only call ID no reply

I took up TATA SKY connection, as a procedure called up their help line to request for installation. Next day again called up Help line to confirm the installation engineer avaliablity & was shocked to hear that the previous day call was never logged any how got a new number [protected] & was confirmed for SMS in 2 hours. The SMS never came neither did the engineer. I THINK NO ONE SHOULD BUY TATA SKY CONNECTION AS THEIR SERVICE IS VERY POOR

Its great that you have recently applied for the connection as you may be entitled for the free installation offer. It is a good move to get in direct contact with the helpdesk for an order booking. It is mandatory to take your order number on booking so the next time you can use it as a reference. In case you did not receive any reference number then an order must have not been placed in the first place. Technician visit is fixed within three-four working days of the order placed, it is also advisable to take the name and number of the alloted technician. There might be certain misunderstanding as you did not receive an SMS as the arrival period of the engineer may still be prevailing. My relatives have recently purchased a Tata Sky connection and faced similar pre-order problems but that was because they were unaware of the order procedure and called some wrong department they received the installation on time and now are happy with their Tata Sky connection.
I also hold SBI credit card and I keep on getting this call. Please check and ensure that the call is not made or if it is made somebody i there to talk.

Tata Sky — Refund not Processed

Hi,

I bought a tata sky connection online on 15th Sep'10 for 1599/- with 3 months free subscription offer. When the executive came for installation on 17th Sep'10, I was informed that the offer is not available and I need to pay extra to recharge my account. I called up your call center and I was told that the offer has been withdrawn on 13th and they told that nothing can be done now.

Then I decided to cancel the membership. I was given a Reference number - 1-[protected] on 17th Sep but the money is still not credited in my account. After that I called up customer care and wrote several mails to [protected]@tatasky and with mails I got a new reference number. Now when I called up the customer care todayI was told that the original complaint has been closed and they opened a new complaint number. I also wrote a mail to their nodal officer but no response. Money is still not credited to my credit card. I never thought that I would need to face such extreme unprofessional and bad service from Tata Sky. I would never advise anyone to go with Tata Sky. Bad Service.

Tata Sky — Cheating the customer of freebies

I wanted to purchase a TataSky connection online, but to clarify some doubts called up their customer care. The sales person, Satish, addressed my concerns and requested me to purchase the connection over the phone itself. On an online purchase of Annual Grand Pack, 4 showcase movies were being provided free of cost which was not being provided over the phone. Naturally, I wanted to buy it online to avail the free movies, but Satish literally begged me to buy it through him and promised me 2 free movies. Its been more than 2 weeks, the 2 movies have not been updated in my system. Despite repeatedly calling the customer care and placing requests, it has still not been done. What a way to cheat the customers!

Tata Sky — tata sky has cheated me

I’m one of the unfortunate tata sky hd users. My subscriber id is [protected]. When tata sky first launched HD channels, I was one of the few over enthusiastic people who opted for it within one or two days of launch. At that time customer care official told me that they didn’t have any buy back offer, I should buy a new HD set top box and all the channels packages would be transferred to new one. I might use the old set top box in another room or it would remain unused. They would not take it back. So I opted for the second choice. I transferred all the packages to my new HD box and left the old one in store room. Since then I was paying for the hd box ( approx 450 rs per month). One month back I deposited rs 5500 for mega lite package and thought that it would be hassle free one yr. to my surprise I got an sms & also a message on my set top box that my charges were overdue, I should deposit some money in my account to continue viewing channels. I called up customer care immediately. They told me that I was using two set top boxes, old one & HD box!! I transferred all the packages to HD and I never paid for old set top box since then , may be 1.5 – 2 yrs. All on a sudden why the old set top box popped up even without any package subscribed to it or no payment for yrs !!!!! they told me that they added the mega lite package to the old set top box not to the HD !!!! I told them I’m not going to pay a single paisa and I want that package on HD. They told me it would be resolved within 24 hr. & I would receive a call from their engineer ( 9th april, 2011). Since then I’m calling them up & nobody has called me yet. Today 14th april, 2011 I again called up customer care. The call was transferred to some senior executive as they told me & he told me that engineer would visit my premise today only, it was already on their list. I was a fool , I thanked him. Again nobody came to my house or even called me up. 7 days have passed since my first complain, there are no channels on my tv !!! they are doing it on purpose that I should cough up some money to continue watching tv. Because they know at the end of the day when reach our home with so much tiredness, people do not want much hassle & it is not possible for them to pursue the matter, even if it is wrong they will pay again.
I feel extremely cheated and have decided I’m not going to subscribe to tata sky again. Probably I will try reliance. I don’t want my money back. But I will follow this matter upto the end every forum, newspapers also to higher officials.
I’m quoting one of the comment in a form “TataSky customer care is one of the most lousiest. Absolutely no reaction from them. it is like banging against a wall”. That’s true , most of the time nobody picks up the phone , the music goes on & on esp in the evening or any time after that.
at last my problem got resolved. yesterday a nice lady called me up from hyderabad & fixed the problem. i complained on 9th april & it was resolved on 18th. it took 9 days to fix it ! my tv was without channels for almost 5 days. morale of the story is, keep trying on & on eventually you may get a good customer care official who will solve your problem. the guy over telephone on 15th april (sorry, i forgot his name & i was furious at that time too) started the ball rolling & it got solved. thanks to him.

4)We do not like the PRESENT model of STB. It can not work without remote, THE CARD is sticking out TO COLLECT DUST and is visible.( In ORIGINAL model, the card was absolutely secure & invisible)

Please arrange to install the ORIGINAL model only, which was replaced without our consent.

5) I THINK YOU SHALL DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THAT STB IS NOT A TOY TO PLAY WITH.

Tata Sky Ltd. — No Response from Company towards complaint

We have taken Tata Sky connection in 2007. Our Subscriber ID is [protected].

Recently we have shifted from Bangalore to Pune and placed a request for relocation of Tata Sky DTH connection on 3rd Oct 2011. Their engineer came on 4th october and fitted the dish and told that he will come after some time on the same day to start the connection. Till today i.e 9th Oct 2011 morning, we are following up with the company but only getting false promises. No one has turned up to start the connection till now. Every time we call them either they say the request is closed or we will solve it in few hours. Kindly help.

TataSky — Failure to install after 12 complaints

It is amazing that a company like Tatasky (belonging to the TATA Group) can take its clients for ride.

I paid in advance for an up-gradation of my basic connection of HD Box to TVR HD Box and also for a second installation for my 2nd TV. I also paid in advance for one year subscription for both the connections.

Even after 5 days, 12 complaints later (including thru website) there is no person from TataSky for either installation or even able to inform when the installation will happen.

The call center has nor processes to answer to customers satisfactorily (this includes even the team leaders / supervisors) nor have any "backup" policies if their service department (which actually handles the installations) fails totally. in fact, so worried is TataSky about customer complaints, they do not publish a single number for complaints nor email. When specifically asked for the same, the call center only "parrots" what they are taught to say " Please call our call center or send mail through the website"!! The corporate address and contact nos of TataSky is absent on their websites (which is usually the case when companies are "fly-by-night" types or are engaged in fraudulent activities!!

I just wonder what new customers must be going through. Even the mighty TATA Group falters and fails when it comes to servicing customer complaints. Shame!! How such corporates using the goodwill generated in the past are fleecing their customers and taking them for a ride.
It is time the customers taught such companies a sharp lesson!
You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will check the status of installation and immediately arrange for a dispatch. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and send a installer asap.
I think you should contact Tata Sky customer service. They are quiet prompt in their reply and will help you out. It is more effective way of getting your work done. You can write to them at [protected]@tatasky.com or call their helpline number at[protected]. The best part is, it is available 24X7.

    I upgraded to tatasky HD by inuring cost with the expectation that I will get to watch HD service and channels that was there when I went for and never expected to have additional channels. Initially I was paying Rs.75 later got changed to Rs.100, even I did not complain about the increase. But on 08-Oct-2012, Tatasky unilaterally decide to use Rs.100 for enabling HD service and HD channels will be available based on my base package. This decision led to reduction in number of channels that I was getting (only 3 I can watch) and never been given enough time to even digest this change. I approached their call center and did not get any proper explanation, even one representative said, suggested to pay extra Rs.150 to get those channels and some even mentioned, I signed that tatasky can decide and change as they wished without our consent. I am clueless on these things and is this the way DTH works and we need to always adhere to their wishes.

    I have only seen, when it is beneficial to customer, service provider will change without checking but when a degradation happens isn't good to give enough time (not days) and check before doing this change. If channels are based on the base package why Rs.100 for HD enabling charges. I tried my level best to get proper explanation but nothing I got.

    Please help me to understand, is this the way I should set my expectation or should I fight for better and committed service. Please help me to understand. Thanks.

      Few weeks back i received a call from the Tatasky saying they will be cancelling few channel which i have not subscribed the base pack.

      I have chosen pack of Rs. 155 and then Rs.100 HD Channels, now they have removed the non base channel like Star Movies HD, Sports HD, ESPN HD, WORLD HD, Now with this amount I can view only 5 HD channels. When I called TATA sky Customer care, they said, as per customer convenient we made HD access. I’m not understanding which customer says or request for fewer channels for more money. It looks. Who ever called TATA sky help line they says as per customer request they did this. Is it believable that customer request to increase the cost from Rs.255 to Rs.500 to watch all HD channels?

      TATA SKY is cheating the customers. TATA SKY IS WORST WILL NEVER SUGGEST TO ANYONE TO BUY TATA SKY.

        I had modified my channel packs on 06/10/2012,Dhamal Mix & HD pack.
        Till 08/10/2012 all channel were ok as per the pack, but on 8th some HD channels are disappeared.
        On asking to call center they told HD pack is closed. How come, how they close the pack which I just had activated two days before.
        He/She also told that I can see only those channels in HD which are available in SD pack, surprising where the sense is gone, why should I watch same channels in HD as well SD. Don’t break TATA ethics, serve as you promised.

          i am customer of tata sky. my tata sky id is [protected].
          on 4th oct 2012. Tatasky has activated fun learning pack on my id which i have not requested
          neither any of our family member has requested for such pack by phone or sms.
          when i called up customer care of tata sky he said you requested via ivr.
          When i asked for phone number from which u got call he said no we don't know.
          this is completely wrong any body will call tatasky and give anybody's id and activate packs on any id.
          And when i asked him to deactivate it immediately...i don't need this i don't want to use this pack.
          he said you have to use it...no solution no reversal san be done.
          what kind of service is this when i told we didn't activated it...he's forcing us to use instead of helping us
          by giving any solution to stop this service immediately and keep my monthly subcription as it is.
          this is loss of money...
          i agree if i activated i m ready to use it for one month til it gets deactivated but when i have not activated
          why should i pay for it and who will use this service its a kid pack we don't have kids too.

          Tata Sky — Service activation

          I purchased a digicomp connection from Tata Sky via making an online payment on 25 Nov, 2010. Nowhere on the website was the activatyion date mentioned!! I have been calling the custome care number every day for past 3 days and they say that the box will be mailed to me. I do not undestand why this delay is not mentioned on the web site, since it is misleading to consumers. I could have gone to a dealer and purchased a box and got an activation immediately. By paying online, I have saved Tata Sky the dealer commission and for that they are penalizing me by saying it will take 7 days to get a box and another 3-4 days for activation! I cannot even get a refund now.
          I think you should contact Tata Sky customer service. They are quiet prompt in their reply and will help you out. It is more effective way of getting your work done. You can write to them at [protected]@tatasky.com or call their helpline number at[protected]. The best part is, it is available 24X7.

            My Tata Sky ID:[protected]. I am not able to view Star MoviesHD, Star SportsHD, ESPNHD, Star WorldHD from today. I had already subscribed to Annual HD Gold Pack on 25th September, 2012

            When I called the Customer Care they told, that due to same changes in rules I will not be able to view those channels.

            But their Term&Conditions at that point of time clearly said that any future changes can never have any retro effect (Point No 12 clearly says that. See attachment T&C2 Link: http://www.tatasky.com/terms-long-duration.html).

            So how can Tata Sky do this?? Its simply cheating the Customers, & doing whatever they like.
            I want to see all the HD channels till my Annual subscription ends on 24th Sept, 2013.

              I had asked Tata Sky for relocation of my dish to my new address which is from sector 3 to sector 2. for the last 12 days they are giving me all unethical stories or answers and giving lame excuses such as the local cable operators are not allowing them to install the dish at my place.( as informed to me by the operator of Tata Sky help line and on con con with Mr. Desai , Area Sales Manager.

              I recharged my TATA sky dish Accont ( No. [protected]) of Rs. 500 on 02/05/2011 by online banking. Rs. 500 are deducted from my account, but this payment not seen on screen. Whether it is credited in my account or some problem for seeing account detail on screen arrises. Please confirm.

                I being a citizen of India , am taught or literally can say feel the above quote true and justified .

                Sorry to say until recently , I had an bad experience and was made to bear losses because of my faith in TATA products,

                I had bought an Tata Sky hd plus set top box to be used with my Samsung led TV (46" 3d),

                There was some hanging problem with the set top box , so a replacement was made with an old repaired hd plus, on my protest they told me that it's TATA set procedure and nothing an be altered , they said they give full responsibility of the same in future,

                Just less than two months had passed and To my dismay my led TV started showing some trouble , so I called company engineers , they told me that this problem has occurred due to fault in set top box extra flow of current thru hdmi cable to led TV ,the mother board of Samsung TV got short and and processor too got short , due to which led panel is also damaged and now the complete repair will cost around Rs[protected] ,

                Sir my question is why should I be burdened with the damages faced by me when there was fault in set top box tata hd plus device ,

                Damaged set top box has been again replaced by Tata sky team, this also authenticate my stand of fault in Tata sky device

                Pl help me find a solution and pl get my led TV repaired , as it's ethically Tata sky responsibility

                  On 25th Sep 2012 i was register a complaint that my remote control of DTH and Set top box not work. As per customer care representative advised that set top box of your DTH is not working, i requested to customer care that the service representative may please be sent to my home. The next day on 26th Sep 2012 the service engineer came and told me that the remote control is not working and he left my house within 5 minutes and Rs 125 has been deducted from account for this visit. Once again i requested to customer care that the visit charges of Rs 125 may not to be deducted from my account because the wrong advice was given to me from your side. Since last three days i contacted several time with customer care representative and three supervisors but till time no any action has been taken by service provider TATASKY and my connection also terminated from 1200 hrs midnight of 28 Sep 2012.

                    one renewal date is 28th September,2012 and other 2 are 13thoctober...but we want it consolidated to one billing date
                    We have some balance amount in tatasky account which may stetch till 13th October on daily basis..and then we can release the 9920/- for all 3 tatasky packages which i have already credited to my tatasky account...
                    Total amt that is with Tatasky was 11,164/- in total as on last checked....
                    Now you are hiking the price for multiple connection from 160/- to 200/- as per your SMSs'
                    All my calculated yearly subscription amt....will be disturbed...

                      I have recharged my tata sky with Rs 301, Customer ID no.[protected] on 16/09/12 by using your web site. While recharging the same, I got the message saying that the transition got failed and the money was deducted from my credit card. Which was claimed by Paytm mobile solution on 17/09/12 and not handover to Tata sky. The ref no of same is [protected]. The details was taken from my credit card provider and confirm from Tata sky. Kindly reverse the Rs301 to my credit card.

                          dont know what to do for this the shop from where we brought set top box are going to help without complaint
                          we are so frustrated with such a pathetic service from Reliance big TV and want to register a complaint in consumer court we want justice also the mental harassment charges

                            My complaint is that , there are so many free channels like Doordarshan, Sahyadri channel, etc. these are free channels.. than why i am not able to view this channels ? Why Tata sky is blcoking this kind of channels ? These are free channels. He wants to block payble channels.. no all.

                              I had a TATA Sky connection (Subscriber ID : [protected]) which was giving some problems. On my request a technician was sent to correct the problem. He checks and changes the set-top-box with one in his bag (not in a box/wrapping of any kind). He didn't inform me, what was wrong with the old one, didn't tell me I will be charged for the new one, didn't give me a warranty/bill or any document regarding it. Next thing I notice is that I have been charged the whole remaining balance on my account and my paid-subscriptions have been all cancelled without as much as a reminder-of-payment or information as to how much I was charged for the box.

                              The set-top box is part of the service that TATA sky provides. I have no choices regarding the box. Given that, it should be their property and theirs to replace. If the set-top-box is my property then :

                              a) The technician has no right to replace it without telling me what the problem is or telling me how much a new one costs.
                              b) I should get an option to get it repaired myself
                              c) At no point was I informed that they would charge me for it. The amount was deducted without informing me at all !
                              d) NO Bill or warranty card was given, that is mandatory for any Sale
                              e) A NEW box should come with a cover/ box
                              f) The old box should be returned to me.

                              Given the attitude of the customer service agents and their supervisors, I would recommend everyone to let go of TATA Sky. I request TATA Sky to figure out whether the Set-top-Box belongs to them or me and refund my money. There are enough options available to customers for this service.

                                  I have a slight issue with TataSky’s Marketing Strategy. This week I have renewed my account due on 6th Sept12 by Rs.6000/- for Mega South Pack for 1st connection and Rs.1760/- for 2nd connection...

                                  However one of my friends who didnot have DTH.....got a offer from Tata Sky and i have noted that Addon benefits are given to new subscribers like 1yr subscription to Businessworld Magazine AND Complimentary gift voucher worth Rs 3000 and the initial chgs for new customer including Set Box and installation is just Rs.6091.

                                  This is strange...as a local Tata Sky member for the last 5yrs+ i ended up paying more than a new member and also no complimentary have been released to the existing loyal customers.

                                  Is this what tata do to loyal customers?

                                  Do I assume that if i close & come as a new member i will pay less and get complimentaries...which is strange and as a loyal customer i object to this marketing strategy. I donot believe that just getting a new customer should be the prime motto….retaining old customers is as important …. They may be many silent customers who may have moved away at this instance…but I thought of brining this to ur notice. I have been sending mails to helpdesk and also spoken to ur pune call centre rep but all they say is “sir u are a premium customer…we will look into this” and so far no offical written clarification has come to me

                                  Can someone help me


                                  I have been a loyal customer and have been renewing without reminders despite the hot competition from Reliance, Dish etc…. Donot u think i[censored] were in my place u would also have felt a bit betrayed and disappointed…. Old and Loyal customers need to be given some discounts or complimentary gifts.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I have taken a connection from TATA SKY with ID [protected]. I am getting my DESK TOP problem every four months and I am forced to pay Rs 350/- each time. They replace the SET TOP BOX with an old one each time and charge Rs 350/- each time. I don't have any option other than paying each time as I an not opt for other service providers on this DESK TOP BOX.

                                    Please don't take TATA SKY Connection. This is my personal experience. They charge a lot of hidden fees towards their visit and also reduced so many channels from their earlier list.

                                      Hi,

                                      I made a purchase of TATA Sky Simple set top box, for which I got the reference no & work order no next 2 hours along with
                                      Suscrier ID {1-[protected] }.
                                      after 2 days, on suggestion of my friend I cancelled the Simple set top box by calling to Tata Sky Call Center @[protected].
                                      and then I made a purchase of TATA SKY HD {High Definition} set top box, for which i did not get any Purchase Reference no or any Work Order No.
                                      When I am calling to call center they are also not giving any Proper answer on the same in all my 8 to 9 calls spending 10 minutes each... only 1 of the receiver told me to wait 24 hours from the time of purchase.
                                      But .... its almost two days, no body confirmed me on the same. and no Purchasing Reference for Rs.3080/- more over the amount got debited from my A/c.. against sencod purchase 3080 + against first purchase 1640 total = 4720... cause till I am waiting on return of first payment to my a/c.

                                      Not expected with TATA Sky such a leniency... expecting any legal action on the same.

                                        i have been facing a technical problem with my set top box since the last week. on 31/08/12 i called up tata sky to lodge a complaint. they promised to send the associate at my premise by 1 o' clock noon on the 01/09/12. i keot on receiving messages from them that the visit has been rescheduled at a later hour. and at 8:30 pm i received a message that my complaint has been resolved by a installer Mr. Rajan Singh. However no body has visited my place by that name. the complaint still remains unresolved.
