My Tata Sky subscriber ID is [protected]. I’m not able to view some of the channels including Animal Planet, Sony PIX and CNBC Awaaz because the signal is really terrible, whereas rest other channels are working really fine. Initially I thought that it must the problem from the Broadcasters’ side, i.e. Animal Planet and Sony itself. Today on 29/08/2012, more than after 2 months of the problem still persisting, I contacted Tata Sky online chat operator.
The chat operator said that he has reset the signal but the problem is still the same. Then he said he will send the installer to my place to check the problem. When asked, I was told that he will charge Rs.125/- for the same, to which I did not agree. I was told since the base warranty has expired, the charges will be levied.
My point is, it is no fault from my side. All other channels are working absolutely fine. It is Tata Sky’s responsibility to provide accurate and trouble free service, so why should I be charged at all?
I have been paying for their rubbish service for more than 2 months and now they want me to pay for correcting their service too!
Why should the consumer be charged for no fault on his part?
Tata Sky is looting the public with their third class service and not even providing proper assistance thereafter.
I’m really disappointed by Tata Sky’s attitude, I’m seriously considering switching to other service providers.
