Hi

Tatasky services were fine until Olympics and Wimbeldon happened.
Earlier I had subscribed for a pack without any sports as we do not watch sports.
But only during the season I subscribed for the sports channels on a monthly basis of 25-30rs /month/channel.
And I had also taken confirmation with their call center that my current existing package would not be affected and i can take off sports once im done.
But after the sports season, when i requested for a cancellation of the sports channel, they say that my old package does not exist anymore and i have been upgraded with these sports channel and my charges upped from 350/month to somewhere 410 or something.
I have gone through ur forum and i am not alone.
Tatasky has used the sports season to rip off customers.
I really request anybody who is reading this to take this up seriously as it is absolutely unethical of any brand to do this and charge us and force us to watch channels which we do not need which goes against their advertisements too.

    My Tata Sky subscriber ID is [protected]. I’m not able to view some of the channels including Animal Planet, Sony PIX and CNBC Awaaz because the signal is really terrible, whereas rest other channels are working really fine. Initially I thought that it must the problem from the Broadcasters’ side, i.e. Animal Planet and Sony itself. Today on 29/08/2012, more than after 2 months of the problem still persisting, I contacted Tata Sky online chat operator.

    The chat operator said that he has reset the signal but the problem is still the same. Then he said he will send the installer to my place to check the problem. When asked, I was told that he will charge Rs.125/- for the same, to which I did not agree. I was told since the base warranty has expired, the charges will be levied.

    My point is, it is no fault from my side. All other channels are working absolutely fine. It is Tata Sky’s responsibility to provide accurate and trouble free service, so why should I be charged at all?

    I have been paying for their rubbish service for more than 2 months and now they want me to pay for correcting their service too!

    Why should the consumer be charged for no fault on his part?

    Tata Sky is looting the public with their third class service and not even providing proper assistance thereafter.

    I’m really disappointed by Tata Sky’s attitude, I’m seriously considering switching to other service providers.

      I am TATA SKY user with sub id [protected]. I recharged my account on 02/08/2012, as per them the due date was 01/08/2012. After 13 days without informing me they revised their DHAMAAL mix package from Rs. 180 to Rs 200 which I use. Now the due date has come to 30/08/2012. On asking that why they have done this without informing me they says I am sorry but we can do nothing against it you have to pay on the newly given due date else your service will deactivated. Also I have complaint them that daily I am facing the audio problem in my newly purchased set up box, they once sent their service engineer who replaced my new box with older one with saying that this is the new setup box but the problem increased more. Again when I asked to their customer representative they said their application is not working we are helpless. They are trying to get ride off me.

        I had complained for "No signal Prob." on 23rd Aug. and said the receiver was loose & tightened! It is mounted on terrace & nobody has access to it then how got loose? Charged 120Rs. Now again same Prob. on 29th Aug. Now said receiver is not working changed 350Rs. No garentee !!! Now is it due to bad Quality or Bad service provided by service man. Ultimately the user is suffering by paying money again & again...
        I requesting your help as TATA SKY has no complain no. only help desk who charges money!!!

          Dear sir/madam,

          My name is Mahesha.U. I have a TATASKY DTH connection([protected]) since 2007. From last 2 weeks i'm facing some technical problems with my connection. Pictures are freezing and some channels are unable to view. On August 13th I have lodged a complaint regarding technical issue. An installer named Shashikumar came on 14th evening 7.15. It was dark already. He tried to check problem what we complained to the customer service for 10 minutes. Around 7.25 he informed me, Sir i couldn't rectify the problem what you are facing, so we will come early morning and attend the issue. I said ok and please do come early in the next morning. He said okay sir your service is pending and we won't take service charge until it resolved. All of a sudden i have received a message saying your WO#[protected] has been completed by the installer N.Shashikumar. I was shocked and call back to the customer service center [protected] and informed the details what the installer said to me. Customer service person assured me, don't need to worry tomorrow early in the morning your problem will be solved. I said its okay but don't take the service charge. He replied dont worry we won't take service charge till it has been solved. I have waited till 15th of August, the service man hasn't come. I called CC they told me wait till 8.30PM. That time passed but service man did not come. Then I called the installer N.Shashikumar([protected]) He said to me ..Your DTH has been permanently Damaged please buy new one. I surprise. I angrily replied to him, without checking the set top box deeply how can you say it's damaged? You came first and rectify the problem. He told me with negligence...I won't come do anything or complain to anybody. I called CC and informed the things what the installer told me. But, CC said we will send an alternate installer soon and solve the issue. In the mean while service charge amount 125 rupees deducted from my DTH balance saying your service completed. I called CC again and asked what's going on. They said we will attend your problem soon and taken a new complaint. But the service man hasn't come. I called CC again and again. They told me to wait n wait.On 20th August I talked with higher officials regarding my problem. They said me to you have replace ANTENNA and its cost is around 250 rupee. If you are ready to pay this we will arrange early in the morning on 21st August I said okay i'm ready to pay. Now its 22nd August. My service not done so far. I called service center nearly 100 times and raised many complaints. But my problem is alive. Finally i decided to lodge a complaint for neglecting the service of a customer. Through your consumer forum i demanding to do refund my installed balance 3999 rupees what has been given when i bought the connection on 2007 and its interest 4800 rupees for 3999. my mobile calling charge around 75 rupees and 1000 rupees for mentally torture what i got from last 9 days. And demanding to take severe action on installer N.Shashikumar.

            1. I wish to submit complain against the tata sky direct to home service provider. I am customer of tata sky dth services since approx 4 year and my set top box ID no is [protected]. I have selected certain channels at the time of obtaining services.
            2. Last year in the month of mar they added a ‘fun learning pack’ without my knowledge and deducted rs 39 pm for approx one year. When I notice this action last month, I asked them to close the package not asked by me and requested to refund the amount. They promise me to deactivate the services however failed to do so till date . Theay are still charging the amount insteed of refunds .
            3. Subsequent to this during olympic days they disconnected espn, star sports and star cricket channel. On making enquiry they asked me to pay additional amount per channel per month. Now since olympics games are shown on these channels they have decided to blackmail the customers to pay the additional cost. This action of service provider without the consent of customer is unlawful and cheating of millions o[censored]sers (entire nation).
            4. Service provider ‘tata sky’ should immediately restore the channel status of all the customer and ask apology for this one sided action.

                  I am a TATA Sky subscriber. My Id no is [protected]. I started with a monthly charge of Rs. 500/. But slowly and steadily the charge has gone upto 676/ and whenever I have contacted the helpine nos. they say that such and such channels were added with ur permission. But never ever I nor any of my family members have gone for the new additions. So far I have kept quiet but now I am thinking of quitting this TATA Sky and shifting to another like Airtel or DTH etc.

                      I am a Tata Sky subscriber. the due date of recharge is 15th Augst 2012 mid night but when i switched on the TV at 2:00 pm on 15th august 2012, the screen was blocked ( around 75% of the screen) by a message reading " urgent payment reminder" which is discontinuation of service to all intents and purposes because one is not able to see the programme due to screen blockage. it was a continuous blockage of the screen
                      further when i called up the customer care number, and explained them the case, they expresses their inability to help. when i further requested to connect me to a senior official, they put me on hold for around 10 min and disappeared. I disconnected and called back again but the result was same.
                      my question is, should they not have informed me before blocking my screen.

                          6 days back, I have upgraded my multi TV connection from a regular set top box to a HD set top box for which I paid Rs. 2,880. When the technician came with the set-top box I asked him for a bill for Rs. 2,880 to which is response was to get in touch with the customer service team.

                          The nightmare begins from here. It has been 6 days that I have been calling the customer care department to request for this bill to be sent to me by email to which they say that the TAT is 24 hrs. Every day, all I hear from them is apologies for the inconvenience they are causing to me and that they will mark this request as a top priority request and to give them 1 last chance. This same story has now been repeated to be 5 times.
                          You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will provide the bill for your new HD set top box. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and act upon it asap.

                            I have recharged my Tata SKY DTH recharge last week through "FREERECHARGE.in".

                            Three times money(Rs 500/500/510) has been deducted from my credit card(Mastero) but still no recharge has been successfull.
                            Tried calling customer care on mentioned number[protected] but service seems to be unavaible.
                            Fouth time was successfull done by service provider "Recharge it now".

                                Namaskar. my n ame is ranjeet singh, purchase tata sky service in sep 2011( Id no -- [protected] )under warranty of 12 months , from last 15 days we are facing problems of not working of tata sky box , repeatedly phoning the service agent but still my problem is not solved , first their person change my box with older or repair one , but that box was also stop working after 2 days . Again their person come and told us that its not the problem of box it is the problem of digicard, but still i m waiting for the card. It is a harssment of customers , we don't know where to call after such poor response .
                                Even their enger are not capable to handle the problem , no senior person will be available who will take of such problems .
                                My set is under warranty , then why they don't give me new set, why they replace it with old one.
                                From last ten days i m regulary making calls to service engr and customer care , waisting my time and money who will pay for this .

                                Kindly provide me fair justice...

                                  I have already paid my subscription Rs.775/- through Internet Banking
                                  on 25.10.2014 before due date. But still Reminder message is displaying on TV Screen and mobile messaging also.

                                  Today I have again recharge my account for my ID [protected] for Rs. 775/- . I Also mail the statement of my bank account where it shows the entry of transaction successfully done and my account was debited but the entry at your end is not cleared and my connection was
                                  deactivated. I have disappointed this time with your services. When I have recharge my account before due date and the transaction at my end
                                  is successfully done but at your end it is not succeed then who's fault it is? and why I have punished by deactivation.

                                      My subscriber I.D [protected] I am getting no signal from last 7 days. I already have registered a complaint to customer care dated 19/07/2012 at 7.00p.m. They attended to me on dated 20/07/2012 (3.30p.m.) . Their person solved problem temporarily . Because same problem continue to stay on DTH TV. I then again registered a complaint to customer care dated 25/07/2012 ( 9.00 a.m. ) . They attended to me dated 25/07/2012 (11.30a.m.) & completed at 3.00p.m. Their engineer ( Mr. Deepak Sonkamble ) changed the Digicomp ( set top box ) but on same day i.e 25/07/2012 in evening 6.30p.m same problem no signal. Same day i complaint to customer care dated 25/07/2012 at 6.45p.m. But on second day i.e 26/07/2012 no one came to check the problem ( upto 6.15p.m.) . I tried to contact them several times but they give me only commitment. Hope for a soon action.

                                      Tata Sky (DTH) — digicomp not working

                                      I am a TATA SKY customer at vaishali GZB(DelhiNCR) and my customer ID is [protected]. I am the custemer of tata sky since last three year. Since last 4-5 days my digicamp is not workinking . I made around 15calls to tatasky customer care but they kept on telling "it will be done by today" and at the end of day they used to tell "The digicamp are not avilable"..and story repeats everyt-day. There is a BIG gap in comm between customer & engg department due to which customers are having bad time. it is the worst service I ever had in my life time. Thanks to TATASKY for showing hieghts of irresponsibility and not communicating well to customers. I have learnt a lot from your pathetic service. I a,m missing every programm and news this is the only source of entetanment to me :(. It is a mental tourcher for the customer and BIG harassement.

                                        Hi, I am Vishal Kapoor & my consumer id is - [protected].
                                        I purchased 2 TataSky DTH connections on 2nd July and I am supposed to get 1 month of Dhamal pack free along with HD channels free till the 2nd August 2012.

                                        However, my connection has been deactivated on 24th July as I need to recharge as per the message shown on the television.
                                        Upon calling the customer care on 24th July the executive informs that I need to pay the rental of the secondary connection so that my connection can be restored.

                                        Was misled initially by Hardeep on 24th July who mentioned that my account was free till 2nd Aug 2012 and that no charges were to come on the account. Hardeep forwarded request to backend team. I received a call back from them the representatives named Anand and he disconnected the call without any saying aything.

                                        I had asked all the representatives even the Welcome call which I received for the charges if at all I need to pay however none of the representatives told me initially that I need to pay for the free service as well during my 1 month tenure.

                                        I also had a chat with a representative chat id - 177310 & my complaint was forwarded
                                        with complaint id - 1-[protected] and that I would get a call back.
                                        When I received a call back from them the representatives named Anand & Roshan saying that it is the customer's fault the customers do not understand anything and that he will not do anything to correct the issue of mis-selling.

                                        No one has clear information to give as every time I get new information when calling you.

                                        They were supposed to call back on the 24th July however it hasn't been done yet. Why should a customer be paying for a free service?? If they cannot give a free service then they should tell the customer to pay.

                                        I cant even cancel and get a refund since as per Tatasky's policy you do not get a refund of the STB & the dish.

                                        Request your help in getting this resolved.
