Paper circulation started on 16.05.2011

I am a resident from Pallikaranai, Chennai. I totally disappointed & not satisfied about the newspaper circulation. The paper circulation is totally irregular. Whenever we call the agent, he use to say that this kind of situation will not happen in future, the circulation will be without break. But..........

Following are the date on which the newspaper was not circulated.

06.06.2011 to 29.06.2011 - 24 days
18.07.2011 to 25.07.2011 - 8 days
31.07.2011 - 1 day
02.08.2011 - 04.08.2011 - 3 days
20.08.2011 - 21.08.2011 - 2 days
01.09.2011 - 1 day
13.09.2011 - 18.09.2011 - 6 days

Total days - 45 days

From 13.09.2011 till date, we are trying to contact the Pallikaranai agent, but he is not picking up his mobile.

The concerned authority kindly look into this and do the needful asap.

TOI has added a new Sunday supplement,I Diva, and made it compulsory.
Why should we be made to pay out Rs 260/- annually for a paper we don't read
We are already paying for another junk paper,Mumbai mirror, every Sunday
Totally 390/- gets wasted along with extra newspaper straightaway going to the raddiwala

The Newspaper vendor in Rohini Sector-11, charging residents for newspaper price in excess of that mentioned on Newspapers. He is not accepting any offer provided by TIMES Group. And also charging the price that is more than the amount mentioned on Newspaper. Even, If some resident reader oppose him to pay extra, he threatens to stop the supply of TIMES Group New papers and make this clear to reader that there is a cartel of Newspaper Vendor in Rohini. Either pay extra or supply of paper would be stopped. I have stopped taking newspaper from the vendor as he does not even know how to behave with customers. Also suggest me some vendors who deliver in the said area.

S.A.Nambi, the Distributor of Times of India News Paper in Sector 12 Kharghar, Navi Mumbai has to improve on the following issues urgently.

1. Timely delivery ( Currently he delivers the News paper any time between 8 AM na 0930 AM ). He blames Times Of India Management for delayed supplies.

2. He does not provide the readers their choice among Mumbai Mirror, Economic Times and Maharashtra Times. He delivers at random what ever available with him.When asked the reason for the same, he maintains that he is helpless as Times of India does not provide him adequate supply of what the customer needs.

Members of many of the Societies in this area are very unhappy with these isseus , which Times of India is advised to take up with the Distributor appropriately for corrective action.

I am a regular reader of Times of India and I subscribed daily news paper from "The Dhanalakshmi News Paper Agency", but they are charging Rs100 per month for the news paper (without any supplements like economic times etc). On asking the guy who collects the bill tells that they charge for 5 Sunday's in a month and 30rs extra for Paper delivery at home. The actual news paper charges never goes more than Rs65, but the news paper agency is refusing to deliver if we do not pay 100/- Rs per month.
I request Times of India to please look into this matter as the reader's are forced to pay extra money for Times of India. I request times of India to please let me know a genuine new paper agency in Hyderabad near madhapur area.

I am a member and annual subscriber of the esteemed newspaper of the Times of India, Kolkata edition and my annual renewal is due as the subscription shall expire on 31st August,2011but in spite of my best efforts your local representative has not turned for its renewal rather told me that if I do not renew it by 27th,August,2011 then it will expire .I do not know how to renew my subscription.Shall be deprived of my legitimate due and being an avid reader of TOI MY HUMBLE WISH IS TO CONTINUE AND RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION.

Dear Sir/Madam,
My subscription/ order no NAG 036908 TOI one year subscription. They promised to deliver the paper from 16th of August 2011 onward, but till today not a single issue has been delivered. Everyday morning i call their customer support regarding this, which has become a part of my work for past 4 days. They are not responding properly and said that they have lodged a complaint in their system. The best part of the conversation is that they provided a mobile number of their area manager Sreejith[protected] , this guy never attends the phone, everyday i used to call him minimum 10times but all were in vain.
Please suggest can i proceed this in consumer court.

Also the agent had cheated My Mother collected Rs.500 for yearly subscription. This happens every few months. The times of India after aggressive marketing started delivering the news paper from Feb 2011 delayed by a few months against promised date. I switched over to Times of India from Hindu hoping there would be little difference in quality of service if not in content of the news paper. To my dismay and disappointment right from the the day one I have to face the irritating behavior of the delivery boy/agent of the News paper. The news paper is thrown most of the days ( on an average 20 days in a month) in front of the house in the street despite the fact that the my house has got a frontage of 40 feet, the compound wall is only 4 feet high . On many days the news paper is picked by passers-by or flies into the drainage before I could pick up. The agents response to my requests/complaint has gone into deaf after and the harassment continues. Though the news paper wishes " good morning " it is in fact not so due to the fact the delivery boy makes most o[censored]s start the day on bad note. I have enclosed a picture of today's delivery which will I hope speak volumes of things which are left unattended by Times of India Coimbatore in reaching out to the customers.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I Ram D Tarachandani, am a regular subscriber of Times Of India newspaper & buying it since past 2 years. I have paid annual subscription amount of Rs.990/- + Rs.149/- by the way of cheques of Corporation Bank, Ulhasnagar (Cheque nos. 192826 & 192827, dated 26/06/2011). The cheque of Rs.990/- got cleared on 13/07/2011 & Rs.149/- was cleared on 19/07/2011.
Since last 3 months I was not getting proper delivery of the newspaper to my home from our local vendor (Mr. Raju Patil, M-[protected]). While giving annual subscription amount to Vendor's wife amount defficiency in service. She promised of improvement. But since past 15 days I was not getting timely delivery of newspaper. Sometimes delivery boy was throwing paper at my flat door by 9:00 AM, sometimes by 9:45 AM & many times after 10:00AM or even by 11:00 AM. I told this thing to the vendor when I did not get newpaper on 03/08/2011. He talked arrogantly on phone. He was behaving tlike he was favoring me by delivering newspaper at my door. I told him about the charges his wife collected from me on 26/06/2011 (for a period of 18 months) & that also I paid without demanding bill for the same believing him. I told him thoughit was his fault for not coillecting monthly bill amounts then also I paid full amount trusting him.
But his behaviour was totally changes on 04/08/2011 when I compained about non delivery of newspaper. Since then he has stopped delivery of newspaper & I am forced to buy it from outer vendors by paying Rs.5/- per day.
Isn't its responssiblity of News Paper Co. to look after safeguards of their subscribers.
This vendor Raju had collected Rs.3500/- (as charges for 21 months subscription) from my brother Mr. Anil Tarachandani, residing in same building. He stopped that paper immediately after that. He was regular subscriber of TOI since past 5-6 years.
I am also quiet embarrassed by this situation when after paying yearly subscription also I am unable to get my daily newspaper.
Please do the needful or else return my money back.

i have subscribed Times of India News paper under one year subscription under introductional offer vide order No:IAA001856. Though the agency has failed to deliver the newspaper at my door several times, I have not taken as it is very serious. But from 21st July,2011 onwards they are not delivering the paper at my house. On enquiries from the Newspaper boy, it is understood that some street dogs are making him uneasy and he told me to control stree dogs ,which are not in my control. This is very rubbish reply and cheating the consumer by taking the advance amount for one year towards supply of newspaper at my door . Though I have made several complaints to the said Newspaer authorities telephone No:[protected] through my mobile no:[protected] , the reply as usual saying that action is being taken to deliver the paper. As on 6/8/2011,I have not recieved the paper for 16 days and liable to be compensated by the said News Paper authorities. Since repeated requested made to Times of India ,Coimbatore Office for non-receipt of the newspaer has not fetched any action, I would like to prefer to submit a complain to you Sir. My House is at No:7, Ganapathi Nagar, Part-B, Veerakeralam, Coimbatore-641007. Now, I am forced to purchase the same paper at Rs.1.50 per day from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday Rs.3.50/- which has to reimbursed by the Times of India, Coimbatore or extend the subscribed to compensate the loss due to non-delivery of Newspaper for more than 16 days. It is a cheating case where taking the money from the consumer saying yearly subscription / promotional offer and simly ignoring their grievances regarding undelivery of Nespaper. I request that action may be prosecuted on Times of India, Coimbatore Edition pl.

My name vimalchand am from MKB Nagar, chennai 600039. Delivery of newspaper is given around 8. And that time i have to leave for office. I requested the vendor to give earlier but they don't do it. So i want my money refunded if you can not provide proper services.

I paid Rs.399 (Rs.300 by cheque and Rs.9 by cash) on[protected]Order no. RTOY / 3290067 and 3390067) for annual subscription of The Times of India, Kolkata edition; but till date[protected], the subscription coupons are not delivered. I have requested repeatedly for the same over their helpline[protected] which is very difficult to get and lodged a complaint on[protected]Complaint no. 400495). No response from them, so a feedback complaint was lodged onlline through their website on[protected]. The attitude of the The Times of India Group is totally indifferent, callous and apathetic though they always try to boast themselves as "Messiah of the common people" and always against wrong doeings. Their Customer Care service is awfully bad, arrogant and ineffectual. I try to contact the RRO (Mr. Snehasis Saha) who was very rude, offensive, abusive and his actions scared us so much that we lost hope of getting the said subscription coupons. This is against all service norms and not at all expected from a large business house like The Times of India. This can happen only in India with very lax Consumer Redressal system and they know very well that they can get away easily without any punishment.

I have purchased 1 no. of Blackberry Storm 9530 +3G at the price of Rs. 10798 including Rs. 299 courier charge. But after delivery I am facing problems :
1. no 2 pin plug of battery charger
2. always problem be hang /off
3. camera - cracks
4. lens - dirty
5. screen - loose
6. looks - 2nd hand / used
7. when dialing - virus seen on screen
8. when talking - being hanged.

Please look on to the matter to replace the mobile or to refund money.

Dear Sirs,

There are many print media in all languages are available sale in WARANGAL/HANAMKONDA/KAZIPET (tri-cities) areas.

But when we want to buy "The Times of India" news paper, they are charging double the cost to its printed price or MRP.

I personally asked many sub-agents, why so the price different but they are helpless to control that as they were being just sub-agents, they were told to sell that Times of India to be sold for extra price.
Not only the price irregularity but the news paper is also being sold incomplete, like if the news paper says it has 40 pages and actually when you count that it won't be more than 26 pages similarly. Here also the main-agent might be doing his monopoly, may be in order to favour other product.

In this regard, I have even approached Times of India office through online complaint system and given my
complaint.
But it is of no use.

TOI & Agents cheating customers blatently.

I think the Times of India areas sales executive plays hand in glove game with the local distributer to cheat the customers of Times of India. We should take up the matter with their top management as a group. I am facing the following problem with TOI and their agents.

Times of India & Economic Times (group paper) print on the front page if these papers are bought together, the customer will get 30% discount. but the local distributer is denying this concession and demands full charges for both papers, saying TOI is not giving this discount.

I would like to take up these matters with TOI higher-ups, through email and phone campaigns. I feel group campaign yields better results for all o[censored]s.

I request those who are being cheated by TOI / their agents in Hyderabad, specifically in Madhapur area, to send me an email, contact number, and the issue they are facing. I would like to include their issues as well and take it up with TOI Hyderabad.

Our Subscription Order No. NAF 037487 - subcription amount Rs.300/-paid by cash on 26.03.2011 to RRE Name: A. Elumalai, RRE Code: 2849. As per him the paper circulation will be commenced from April 01, 2011 to my residence. But, till today we have not received the said TOI paper.

5 times contacted to TOI subscriber's helpline number:[protected] & 3 times mailed to mail id: crm.[protected]@timesgroup.com

But there is no action till date.

Kindly look into this and do the needful asap.

The quality and ethics of news being posted in Times of India newspaper seem pretty low. The additional named "Coimbatore Times" follows only cinema news along with very provocative and near nude pictures of actresses and nothing about the whereabouts of the city in particular. Either the name can be changed as "Cinema Times" or the news content can be changed.
Also, the Main sheet dated on 16th may 2011 has an elaborated news report on the "sexual assault by IMF president". The news content is given in a very detailed manner. This can be given on some other page rather than the front sheet which is of immediate notice to all age group.
I hope the concerned authorities notice these and try to improve the quality of news being published bearing in mind their responsibility and ethics..

So instead of issuing in favour of Rohan B R. They have issued in the name of Rahul B R.

The concerned person is asking cheque in the correct name,
but the person who is working for Times of India
refusing to give Cheque & talking very roughly.

the person who is facing lot of problem since 5months to collect the correct cheque from Times of India Company.
