I too am facing the problems. First 1 week they dropped the paper ontime and after that, there is no paper, no response on phone.Every now and then I call them up and shout at them, next day morning they are so kind enough to drop paper for a day and wait for me to call up again and scold them to get the next day paper. In this process, I have to call them every alternate day and scold them, my phone bill when added up, it is now almost matching the actual paper cost from general vendor. But the additional mental torture I am undergoing - who would pay for that. This is the worst service from TOI and have left me speechless - what kind of language can be used for them, I do not know.

Times Of India, Hyderabad — Non receipt of Paper after subscription

I have subscribed for times of india daily news paper for 6 months, which needs to start from 16th April'2011. Till now i have not received a single copy and daily i am calling the customer care numer[protected] but the answer from the times is same every time "we will get back to you". Apart from this they are providing the relevant in charge of my area by name Called Satish and his boss Sravan, when i called them they are saying the same thing.

i am not receiving the TOI paper regularly. Only 15 editions of paper i have been received so far ( total editions to be received is 34 ).

From 5 days i am continuously not receiving this paper.

The paper boys is issuing this paper as per their will.

My assumption is this may be the reason TOI offering this 6 months subscription to Rs.275 /-


Please ensure that i have to receive this paper daily or other wise return my subscription proportionately.

This is a very bad impression on this Plan and the future maintenance of this plan .

I have renewed the subscription for your newspaper (third year) on the 17th of April 2010. The order code NAD 053507, REGISTERED MOBILE NO. [protected],

I have been getting my newspaper in an irregular fashion all through. Only after a few calls I start getting intermittently. Now, for the last one month I have not been getting my paper at all.

I have been calling the customer care almost daily and I have been assured that I would get the newspaper the next day...That tomorrow never comes.

Every time I call, it is a different person who picks up the phone and gives the same old answer as if every one in the office has been tutored the same lesson. The last person who assured me was Logesh [protected], who said he would refund the subscription money, Now, he even refuses to answer my phone. I must remind you that all this amounts to deficiency in service!

I am more than surprised at the unprofessional way Times of India operates!

I request you to solve this problem of mine of not getting my paper on a daily basis immediately.

I am not sure if this complaint reaches the TOI authorities.

We had paid for a 6 monthly TOI + Mumbai Mirror subscription in the 1st week of April 2008.
However for the past 1 week ie. starting 10th July 08 we have failed to get delivery of newspaper.

Iam a subscriber to the Times Of India (TOI) Daily Newspaper having remitted one year subscription through Citibank Credit Card. This was acknowledged by TOI letter dated 12-May-2008. In this letter it was informed that newspaper will be delivered from June 1, 2008. But I have received it from July 2008 and now it is stopped from October 14, 2008.

The Local Agent Mr.S.Kumar wanted coupons or order number for further issues. We haven't received either coupons or Order number from TOI until now.

I have subscriped pre paid subscription for 12 months on 22.07.2008 (Order No.GAB0038981) and started delivery on 01.08.08 from Roshan Avlekar, MPT Colony, Vasco continuily upto 02.06.09. To day i.e. on 03.06.09 when I gone to collect paper he informed me that the supplier has stopped the paper of old subscriber. Dear Sir, I was approached by Mr. Senthil almost 3 months ago about Times of India's launching at Coimbatore. Accordingly I paid one year subscription of Rs. 299 as a special offer and was complimented a travel bag too. I was assured that it come from Jan 01/2011. When i telephoned to him he said that some adv will come, and when I insisted on the probable date its birth at Coimbatore he was not able to say any thing concretely. Is it fact that Times of India is coming to Coimbatore? Such event will create a different picture about Times of India. Can I have the intervention of Times of India?

Daily News Paper (Times of India) — Non delivery of yearly coupons at my residential address - Times Winners Offer

Sub. : Non delivery of yearly coupons at my residential address for the subscription paid by me for “Times Winners Offer” for the year 2011 – 2012 of daily news paper ‘Times Of India’ [vide order nos. RTOY 3299497 & 3399497]

I had paid subscription price of Rs. 390.00 by A/c payee cheque plus Rs. 9.00 by cash (vide order nos. stated above).

On a day early in this month when I was not available at my residential address your courier came to presumably deliver the monthly coupons in my name but with a wrong address given for the purpose (the location mentioned wrongly in the address as ‘Arcadia Extension’ instead of the correct location as ‘Arcadia’ which was indicated in both the Order nos. mentioned above).

Since the person then available at my residence was confused due to this the courier was asked to come again for such delivery after confirming and incorporating the correct address.

The courier has not returned till this date to deliver the coupons as advised.

I contacted your helpline on phone on three different dates. On first two dates I was told that the matter would be set right by a week but it never happened. Only on last reminder on 18.02.2011 I have been advised to mail my complaint in regard to non-receipt of the coupons which I am doing now.

Please take an immediate action in the matter & ensure that the coupons are delivered to my correct address so that my vendor of the newspaper may not refuse to deliver the daily news papers to me without direct cash payment to him. I await a prompt reply and action from your end.

The Times of India distributor (Mr Srinivas) of Neredmet, Secunderabad has taken
the money (cheque) for six month to delever the news paper from 16 Jul 2011 onwards. Till today (18 Jul 2011) no paper has been delevered. I complain at the customer care of the Times of India ,Hyderabad. They have given the Number of distributor Mr Ansari ([protected]). I contacted Mr Ansari on 17 Jul 11 and he told that I will chek and tell. but there is no response since yesterday.
Now his phone is not connected.

Times Of India — Non Delivery of Newspaper since 04/08/2011

On last 6th August-11 I had complaint about my local newspaper vendor Mr. Raju Patil (M-[protected]). In the complaint I have clearly mentioned about my one year subscription payment for T.O.I. (with Mumbai Mirror), the cheques for the same were cleared in July-2011.
But when I complained vendor Mr. Raju Patil about irregular of paper delivery for many days he has stpped delivering the newspaper to my home.

It is very strange that your agency is not taking any action against type of vendors like Raju patil.
We common people always feel helpless due to behaviour of such arrogant people.
I expected a quick action from your team but 10 days have passed since my complaint to you & I am again forced to re register my complaint to your organisation.
I am getrting T.O.I. from other vendors by paing Rs.5/- since 04/08/2011. Isn't it strange that after paying one years money also I am not getting my copy of newspaper.
This time I expect a quick response from your team.

Non Delivery of Newspaper since 04/08/2011- Third complaint

This is in continuation of my earlier complaints as on 06/08/2011 & 15/08/2011. There is still no response from your team. I have not received even a single call since my complainsts in past month. Our local newspaper vendor Mr. Raju Patil (M-[protected]) is not delivering me the copy of the daily paper at my residence at Ulhasnagar. In the complaint I have clearly mentioned about my one year subscription payment for T.O.I. (with Mumbai Mirror), the cheques for the same were cleared in July-2011.
But when I complained vendor Mr. Raju Patil about irregular of paper delivery for many days he has stpped delivering the newspaper to my home.

There is now second issued, which I want to let you know. I have also paid full years subscription amount of Rs.990/- + Rs.149/- to BCCL (vide cheque nos. 602451 & 604252 dated 27/06/2011), which got cleared on 19/07/2011 & 28/07/2011 respectively. This payment I had issued to get daily newspaper at my Kalyan office. I had got a confirmation call from your team in August month. But I am yet to receive the copy of the newspaper till date.

It is very strange that your team is not taking any action against type of vendors like Raju patil.

I have subscribed to the annual subscription for delivery of Times of India news paper. Since few months we have been receiving the news paper only after 8.00 A.M every day. On some days I do not receive the news paper. I called the news paper agent after obtaining the phone number from delivery boy and informed him the issue. The agent said that he does not have manpower to offer the service to my residence since he is located at Triplicane. Having paid the annual subscription now I am not able to receive the news paper. Now since three days, I have not received the news paper.
Will TOI do the needful to ensure proper delivery of news paper.

Dear Sirs,

We have been a subscriber of TOI since the commencement of the Chennai Edition under Subscriber No.29731562.

The subscription commencement coupon for order no. NAL 066299 when handed over to our regular newspaper vendor, D. Ashok @ Cell:[protected] on April 10, 2013 at about 12.00 hours, he demanded a sum of Rs.20/- per month henceforth as his service charges, which demand we refused as per TOI's norms.

Immediately thereafter, we sent an email to TOI on April 10, 2013 requesting to arrange for a local newspaper vendor to collect the subscription commencement coupon from our office at the address given in our email, which subscription is to take effect from 14.04.2013 for which we received a formal reply dated April 10, 2013 stating that they have made a note of my complaint and would revert ASAP. Thereafter, my emails dated April 15, 2013 and April 16, 2013 have not been answered at all. I have not received the newspaper from April 15, 2013.

Kindly take note of my complaint and do the needful.

i have been a customer for Times Of India for twenty years. In March-2014, I have shifted to Avantika Extension, Ghaziabad. The Hawker/Vendor over charge in their monthly Bill. When protested stopped delivery of News paper and due to the nexus between all the Hawkers and Vendors of the area not getting newspaper since last one month.

Request you please Intervene to stop the unethical nexus between the vendors for unfair and Monpolistic trade practice and ensure the delivery of Newspaper to me and other customers like me in the area.

I know it is pretty late but this is the story. We have taken up the annual subscription and paid the full amount but over 9 months later we still have not received a single copy of the newspaper. I have the receipt with me.

I own a flat. our society is not registered. land is on the name of owner and not on the name of builder. now who shall pay property tax????
in this building there are 3 big flats and 8 small if property tax should be paid by flat owners how the amt should be divided????

Try calling Times of India office and the number never reaches or is out of order and the people who work there have no manners. Telephone etiquette lacks and frankly the infrastructure of presonnel is worse than any normal mid-level office. What a sham!!!
I think some serious revamping is needed. As an MNC head I found it shocking when we wanted to paste an add and the first reaction was if HIndu was in the scene. That is not how you treat potential customers. It's called Customer Service Management Systems. And for your kind information- customers make your pay!!!

I do agree with you Mr.N.C.R.Nair, I reside near kalveerampalayam and i'm also experiencing similar problem.For the past three days, there was no issue of "Times of India".I have called their customer care number of times and they say they'll take strict action.But, Only in words.

It is erratic delivery of the newspaper. I was in Delhi and used to reading this paper for decades. I am, however, appalled that its supply in Coimbatore is erratic. I was out of station for about 4 months and the arrangement was that the house maid would pick up the paper daily and give it to my neighbor. The vendor stopped supplying paper from about mid August. I came back and inquired of him. He very coolly said that I was not there he stopped supplying the paper even though I had paid one year subscription in advance!

Is ToI listening to me?

The paper delivery boy is just throwing the paper in open area(no roof area) and entire paper is getting wet due to rain, this is happening for last 15 days. We are not able to read the paper. The very purpose is getting lost. I advised the boy and no response. Can you pl advise the dealer, else you can stop service to my house since any how we are not able to read any thing out of it

On 8.12.2011 one of your rep. came to my office and advised me to subscribe to the Times of India afresh instead of renewing old subscription so that I could avail a special offer of one Rebok bag and some economic magazine along with the subscription and I paid him Rs.299/- by cheque No.221033 dated 8.12.2011 on Central Bank of India. what should I say ? Now I am also one among all these above people. My name is V.C.M. PRASAD PRABHU, residing at Sri Durga Nagar, Kanuvai Rd. I did not get the paper for 14th & 15th. Then I contacted the Gowthami News Agency, at P.N. Pudur, I got the paper for two - three days. The delivery boy went to home town due some reason. Let us suppose he has to stay another two days, that means no paper to the subscriber. Does it mean that the Agency do not have some body else to deliver the paper ?

I have subscribed for the Times of India from the date of launch, However, for the Past 4 days I have not received the paper. No information whatsoever
from anybody . Where shall I make my complaints for getting the paper regularly. Kindly help Me. My mobil no.[protected]and

Vijaya bank in favour of Bennet Gleman &co ltd to be delivered one in the above address and the other to Queens land ladies hostel, kamarajar road, opp (jai krishna maruthi service station) hope college, coimbatore. Behind each of the chequs I have written the delivery address respectively .But now I am getting the paper to my residency not to the hostel address.
I have several times informed to a college boy came for collecting the cheque, his mobile number [protected], but no use .
so kindly arrange to deliver the news paper to the hostel address mentioned above.

Residing in Saravanampatti, I like times and economic times paper very much I couldn't find times news paper in this area.
I tried to find out distributor one year ago, he gave me the contact and explained other paper vendors try to suppress this news paper distributors in this area.I tried reacing that distributor with the given Mobile number, he promised me to deliver, but never turned up.I switch to other papers.
Last week I found one person distributing news paper while going for morning walking, I shown my house and given advance as well for Times of India paper.He gave me contact number [protected] and he said his name as Nandakumar.1st day it is delvered, another 2 days there was no paper delivered, i was thinking he might be ill or sick, after 3 days I called him and he said there is an other distributor in this area he will deliver papers for me, he will pass a message to him.There was no news paper till now, when ever I call he didn't picks the call.

Kindly address this issue in saravanampatti area, I wish Times Group papers in this area.

During april 2013 unfortunately 4 persons died due to fire accident at a complex and the district authority in a hurry ordered sealing of buildings which are deviated from norms if same is strictly followed then almost 90 percent of buildings are to be sealed including collectorate, municipal, police stations, register offices, rtos, FM stations, 90percent banks, tasmac bars which lack the parking and stability norms. Instead of doing the corporation even sealed the buildings which are taxed by them and occupied by the building owners( eventhough some of them havinhg parking and fire safety ). But the authorities intentionaly left the giant shops ( where people assemble in lacs)pothys, chennai silks, ganapathy silks, sridevi textiles and leading jewellery joy alukkas.jos alukkas, semmanur.and somany other state business people shops are untouched and also 20 crores of tax from cell phone towers is not collected from 2011 eventhough the resolution passed at the corporation council and the above all reflected in the times.indian express, dinamalar dinathanthi as a scattered news and against RTI request the shameless authorities accept the above but the above dosenot reach our CM MADAM .

From the above it is clear that instead of improving fire safety ( the coimbatore city developed in folds in the 10 years but is there fire and other safety equipments increased/updated. No addition of fire stations to augment present population of buildings and people and after fire it takes one to two hours to reach the place eventhough at heart of the city an how to save the lives) and hiding the reality the authorities are doing injustice to the public and giving wrong information to the govt then how will people get safety cover from government and authorities fear to putforth the fact of lack of fire safety for the big 100 wards coimbatore corporation eventhough the revenue incraesed in folds and fire stations and equipemnts remain same for the last 20 years .Is it justice for the civil servants to pass the ball on public alone to safeguard their post and promotion .


The intention of authorities making a few buildings as scapegoat for their files and leaving the giants and failure to correct govt buildings for safety ( even collectorate old buildings wont withsatnd heavy rains but still are in use like that somany offices in coimbatore) is to be brought to the notice of our CM AMMA through the channels

keeping all this on mind we have sent the following to the authorities and we request your support to reveal the truth to the govt and implement uniform rule to all .
