Greetings!
I was having a ghs account of the subject number in my name with tanishq camac street, kolkata branch for an amount of rs. 2, 000/- per month. The scheme must have matured in the month of september, 2017. I was supposed to buy jewellery worth rs. 21, 500/- (My contribution + tanishq return). With the intention of availing of the same, i had visited the store yesterday evening. I was kept waiting for quite sometime when the person who was attending me (Mr. Trivedi) checked the system with my account number. After about 30 minutes mr. Trivedi told me to go and select a jewellery of my choice while he gets the paper work completed so that while waiting, the choice could be made. I went forward and chose a pair of ear ring costing about rs. 27, 300/- and requested for final billing enabling me to pay the extra money incurred over and above the scheme amount.
I was then kept waiting for more 30 minutes and then on my reminding mr. Trivedi to hasten up my billing, he went up to check and then after about 10 – 15 minutes came back to say that my account cannot be settled with a purchase as refund has already been processed and the tanishq contribution amount of rs. 1, 500/- shall be given to me in the form of a voucher and my contribution of rs. 20, 000/- shall be sent back to me by a cheque. I was surprised as no communication to this effect was ever made to me from tanishq informing me about this. I asked mr. Trivedi to which he had no answer.
I wasted my good 1.5 hours time at the store, selected a product and then was given to understand this. I left the store and within a couple of minutes received a call from the store saying that there has been a miscommunication and my account is open and i can come and buy the jewellery.
The above was an example of serious mismanagement & unprofessionalism and at the same time an insult to a customer that even after selecting a product, she was refused to be sold that mentioning my scheme money is in refund process and then after wasting a considerable time, to re-communicate that it was an error hence i should come back to get the product and encash my scheme.
I was very disturbed by the above and demand an explanation to this behaviour.
At the same time, would request you to please refund my money (Along with an interest) asap into my account, details of which are furnished below :
