Before our son left for USA on 1.9.2009 for higher studies, we had purchased a Titan watch model No.9275SL03 for him in Bangalore on 31.7.2009 at the cost of Rs.7, 995 (after a discount of Rs.2, 000).
We came to know a few days after his leaving that the watch had stopped, was out of order.
It was not possible to bring the watch back to India immediately for repair/servicing. We could get the watch in hand only during our visit to USA in 2011. But since we were also located outside of India, we could give the watch for repair/servicing at Titan Care centre in a Mall at Saket, New Delhi, on 13.1.2013.
We noticed after a few days of taking delivery that the watch had stopped again but could not take it back to the servicing centre because of our location outside India.
After being back to India in 2016, we had given the watch for repair at your servicing centre at South Extension Part 1, New Delhi, on 25.5.2016.
We have been informed by the servicing centre over phone on 3.6.2016 that the watch could not be repaired and instead Titan would take back the watch and give us a coupon worth Rs.1, 500.
This offer from Titan does not make us happy at all. We spent Rs 7, 995 way back in 2009 but could not use the watch. We agree we could not take the watch to a servicing centre within the warranty period because of our location. But at the same time, you should also agree that the model of the watch sold by you was a failed one.
Accordingly, we request that a new watch worth almost the value of the subject model be given to us as a replacement instead of coupons worth Rs. 1, 500.
We feel a new watch as requested above should be a genuine offer from a trusted and reliable company. We have been a regular customer of Titan. Please refer to our encircle card #[protected] for your perusal.
All receipts referred to above are available with us and can be produced upon request.
