Titan-Fasttrack Complaints - i purchase a watch in august 2010, now after 2 month, lock of watch has been failure, before purchasing the watch shop keeper told me that the chain of watch is in guarantee of one year , now when i go to shop to repair the watch's lock then he says that its not in warranty and you have to purchase new chain or pay for lock, as well you have to send the whole machine to company and it will take one or 1-1/2 month so what i do please tell me

    My watch was given for replacing the glass of the fully working watch on 27Sept 2010. I was asked to collect the watch on the 29Th. However, with my past experience not getting the stuff on time, I went on 3oth sept. The dealer said the stuff is not ready come at 12 noon. Still, I called them up on the 1st of Oct.only to learn that the watch will be ready at 1 o clock in the afternoon.
    Is is possible or economical for a person to go to a dealer every day to collect the repair watch.
    I feel it's disgusting and humiliating.

      Hi, i have purchased a new Frame from the Store & Athwaline, Surat, Gujarat. I purchased the same in the month of May-2010. & the frame got lose in just 2 months & also the lense also got so much of scratches that vision is also not proper. So i contact the store again, & surprisigly they replied that scratches are always there on lense. But at the time of purchase i mentioned very cleary to them that i m changing the specs because of the scratch issue only, so they suggest that i sud go for thier recommanded lense so that i wont have that problem again. So i asked them to go for the quality check again, but again very surprisingly they took the same from me & till 15 days they just kept the same with them only & when i inquire they said they got the report that it doesnt have any quality issue, & didint gave any kind of report to me, So kindly take interest & give me solution or replacement or i will have to go to consumer court for such quality issue.

        Hi,

        I'm using the the Fastrack Watch (3006QM01) from 6th December 2009 but from that time i have faced lots of problem with watch, every time having the Crown problem, its getting dropped for 2-3 times and my self submitted the Watch for 2-3 for repairing. Its really pathetic services and really i'm requesting for the replacement of this watch or else comittement that in future i'll not be face the problem with Watch because Every time i can not keep my Wrist watch under reparing centre for 15-15 & 20-20 days.

            Hi, Myself Arup Narayan Nanda from kolkata. I have purchased one pair of glasses alongwith frame from Titan Eye+, Laketown store in February 2010 by spending Rs. 5425/-. In the month of May 2010 the frame had lost colour from different spots. I have lodged a complaint through email and visited the store for replacement. They have assured me to give me the replacement within 25 days, but i got the same after 28 days. And it is a matter of shame that, the new replacement had again lost its colour. Now when I am asking for refund of my money, they are not even replying to my mails. Can I file a case in consumer court on this basis against them, please reply.

            I had purchased titan eye product worth INR 3100. Just within 3 weeks the product has malfunctioned. Titan is now refusing to replace the product. Their head of customer care - says ’’’’Do Whatever You Can’’.

            I could have very well purchased some cheap spectacles worth 750 rupees from any other optician. But i chose to spend almost four times the amount with a trust that i will get dependable product from Titan; but i was incorrect. They are now so rude to me and it is very sad to hear such a negative and unreasonable response from a person as senior as the head of customer service. First two days the people in local showroom just refused to divulge any contact information of any of their seniors. Also, the customer care number is not in a working condition. It is so shocking. Why would i or anybody else buy such a costly product and then regret.

            So shocking to hear such a response from such a reputed organization like the Tatas. Can some senior management personnel pls help me. Thanks - [protected]@gmail.com

              I regret to state the Reputed Company like your are not paying attention to customer service, as spectacles are very sensitive to person having high myphio power.

              I have purchased the spectacles for my sister from Titan Eye Shop from South City Mall, 375, Price Annwar Shah Road, Jodhpur Park, Kolkta-68 on 21.08.10. against Sr no 442 dt 21.08.10 . The power of glass is approx -8.5; The delivery date was aprx 10 day ie on 31.08.10. On 01.09.10 Titan eye personal informed me that they will be taking another 10 days as lense was broken in course of fittings. In spite of my repeated reminder about the provable date of delivery they were giving an excuse that they haven’t received the lenses form Bangalore. I have even complained to Customer service regarding this matter on 06.09.10. Till date there is no response regarding the above matter

              She is facing lot of problem without spectacles. This kind of experience is very shocking. Being group of Tata's and providing such kind of services. It is better to close the store if "Titan Eye” are unable to serve their customer

              I request the management to seriously look into this mater.

              I am feedup and frustrated with your so called Titan Eye.

                The fasttrack watch are good in look and style but worst in the case of support. Today one small pin of my fastrack watch got missing. So I went to world of Titan parihar chowk pune. And I told them about this problem and told them to give me that small pin spare part. They just refused and said we have to change the whole band of the watch. ( just for a pin whole watch band has to be replaced weird !! shame to titans) I said ok! when he replaced the whole watch band he asked 625 rs. I asked why? he said for the band. I showed him my guarantee card. ( i bought the watch just 2 month old so i had full guarantee). He said no sir we changed the part so we will take money for the part. I don't know what guarantee mean if you will pay for it. So just buy the watch if any thing happen even if a small pin is missing they will give you full spare part and just tell you to pay for it. Than someone just tell me what guarantee means by fasttrack! They will charge you so much while buying a watch. And we will buy it thinking it of the support from the fasttrack. But at support they will just take extra money! I don't know than why they give us the guarantee card! Fasttrack guys if you are looking at this post please explain me what do you mean by that guarantee card which you give while buying the watch or glasses? :x

                They were correct...if you lose the pin, they can not replace it free.Again, the fashion changes so fast that they or anyone can not keep small spare parts.any machanical failure will use the warranty.

                  I regret to inform you that you neither have a customer care nor a manufacturer care even for yourself. If you type titan eye complaints on internet, you would see that you have a host o[censored]nsatisfied customers for every aspect of eye care.

                  I do not have any serious issue as far as any transaction is concerned as I have not done any with titan eye + but I shall send this mail to whoever I can at all your divisions within next two days if you do not take any cognizance of the same as you should at least be responsive and responsible towards your blunders.

                  I hope to find at least one sensible manager in your overall network.

                  I am an anuttara member at Tanishq and had good experience from those showrooms.

                  Even without buying anything, my visit to your showroom has costed me Rs.2000 plus inconvenience plus my son's schooling plus other family member suffering etc.

                  I repeat, enough care should be taken to ensure that while selling a frame, you do not land up not selling a watch and jewellery and a car also.

                  May I expect a positive feedback and an assurance for required corrective action at a priority?

                    I purchased Xylus watch from NDSE show room . They charged me Rs. 13000.00 AFter payment they give me samsung mobile as free gift. When I came home I was shocked to see the price of watch as per box is Rs. 9000.00 It means they added the price of phone in the watch and selling it as free. i have written many complaints but no one responds. I could not find any other means to escalate

                      This is inbaraj.I am working for TATA CONSULTANY SERVICES for last 3 years.I have received sodexho gift pass from my brother to purchase TITAN watch. My brother was not able to select correct watch for me,so he gifted sodexho pass worth rs 2000 to choose titan watch from world of titan show room.


                      When i gone to Marathalli(Bangalore) TITAN show room on 14th aug. I was happy that 20% discount on all watches but when i selected particular watch and gone to bill section they said that 'with gift pass discount is not allowed'


                      This is not at all a fair. Gift pass means not a free pass for my convinent get a gift pass instead of cash. I didn't get benefit of 20% discount.

                      Finally i bought 'TITAN watch model no '1164sl04' ,bill no is 1876 on 14th. Watch price is rs.1795 with gift pass.

                      If i could have paid by cash then watch price could be rs.1435. I lost rs.360 because i paid through sodexho pass .This is your stupid bill process.

                      Doesn't you validate sodexho has equal to money?

                      Being a TATA employee also i didn't get any discount.

                      Also behaviour of the sales person in that showroom is not all good.

                      All other company showroom accpets sodexho during all offer time with their offer price.

                      I have scanned copy of bill, if you need i am ready to send that bill.

                      Kindly take necessary steps to get my discount amount(rs.360) back

                        I have purchased a Titan Watch on dt. 30/07/10 costing 2100/- from CHANDRAPUR WORLD OF TITAN .Within 10 days of its purchasing wrist belt got dislodged fortunately watch remain safe even it failed down on road.Soon after incidence I approached your world o titan ,To my surprised I received a joking response that Belt is not under warrantee.                           Hi Have purchased Zoop Kids Watch From Lifestyle stores (R City Mall, Ghatkopar) on 12/06/2010

                          After that the next day we wanted to go out and my son took it out to wear it but to our surpirse the Watch was completely dead, and immediately i called up customer service centre nos; and shocked to hear that we dont have any information about the zoop watch service sir we cant help, then the next day i visited the same shop from where i buyed this, they said to go to this World of titan shop @Dadar which i did and handed over my kid watch but till date am complaining and visiting the centre but no information or udate they are giving...."when it will come we will call you sir"

                          Neither they are giving me a fresh piece nor they repairing it.......Am disappointed a lot.... because my kid everyday keeps me asking for the same watch and says papa we will go thre and kick that shop fellows..... why they are not giving my watch after we paid money.......

                            Cheated while buying Titan wrist watch at ‘L.G.Lilaram & Co.’ (23, Lindsay Street, Kolkata – 700087)


                            On 3rd August 2010, I was there at Lindsay Street, Kolkata with my wife for some work. As we were passing by ‘L.G.Lilaram & Co.’ (23, Lindsay Street, Kolkata – 700087), a retail shop for wrist watches.
                            I stopped by the display window to see a watch with “Lunar Movement”, which I was looking for. As we entered the shop to ask for the prices the shop owner showed us a model which he said is a lunar movement watch (black dial and band, Model No.1513NFA) and we bought it (Cash Memo No.9265, dated 03/08/2010).
                            Later on during the same day I found out that the display is actually showing the movement of the earth (to determine day and night – AM/PM) and not lunar movement. Since for the first time I bought such product the shop owner misguided me and I bought a different product altogether.

                            I went back to the shop next day and told him what he has done and wanted return the watch and to take refund of my money, but he said he would not– either I have to buy another watch with “Lunar Movement” (this time I was prepared as I did some net search on it to recognize the difference), of my choice - which eventually I was forced to buy with much higher price.

                            I strongly put my complain against this shop ‘L.G.Lilaram & Co.’ 23, Lindsay Street, Kolkata – 700087 as they have cheated me. The shop owner sold me the watch either knowing very well that it’s not the product I am looking for, or he didn’t have the minimum product knowledge to sell a watch.

                            Please take necessary action against the shop as these people are wicked cheating businessman, crooks, and might cheat others. I demand minimum justice.

                              watch was purchased in nov'09 from Sikka & Sons d- block CP central cirlce , stoped working in 4 months , and this watch was for Rs 4500 , got exchanged after 1 day , i bought for Rs 5600 again , where bill was never changed ! i gave this back for reparing , waited 15 days ! my calls were not entertained at all ! at last i visited to the shop ! they hardly cared saying its Titans fault deal with them..! i was finanly asked to get credit note on this ! and assured only Rs 1000 around wil be deducted and i can take home a new watch !! But suddenly this option was also taken away from me as they said this watch is stoped getting manufactured through the company itself and now it is only worth of Rs 1900 that they can retun to me..!

                                I booked spectacle with contact lenses from Titan Eye + Lajpat Nagar Branch, New Delhi on 6th Feb 2010. They said that both the products will be available on 9th Feb 2010.

                                But i finally got it on 14 Feb 2010.

                                After 12 days of purchasing, Frame of the spectacle had been broken. I requested them to change the frame or replace it on 14 March. (As it was in warranty).

                                They said, No problem It will be change. You can take it after 3 days.

                                From 14 March 2010, I am still waiting for my spectacle.... 4 months has been passed but none of the executives is responding for it.

                                I have visited the store 12 times. And always I spend Rs. 100 rent for Auto Rickshaw so you can understand total amount Rs. 1200 which I have spent for getting my spectacle back.

                                I gave them several chances. But They Always say...

                                "Maine India ke saare store pe call kiya hai, Sir jaise hi milega me aapko inform karunga"

                                "Sir, mujhe yaad hai Jald hi nayaa stock aane wala hai to me aapko infom kar dungi"

                                "Ohh !, AAj wo Sir nahi aaye jinke pass apka complaint hai"

                                "I will call, when it will be done"

                                Their staff is always lying. I would never recommend them.

                                I can't say What is the exact problem but I feel...

                                1. They all executive are not keeping the customers updated with honest information. Always say please wait 10 min. saying that..

                                2. Executives attitude is very irresponsible. Rakesh (who was handling my case) told me that he does not know about my contact lenses. and said what was the problem?

                                None of the executives is proactive to keep the customer informed.

                                Titan has not met customer expectation as against a lot of small Optical shops which provide more personal customer service.

                                This is to all the people who are reading this "PLEASE DO NOT BUY TITAN EYE PRODUCTS!! YOU'LL MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSEL[censored]

                                Respected all,
                                I saw few complaints about Titan Eye +. I have more than 10 years of experience in the optical field. I would like to bring few things to consumers notice.
                                Presently I’m not belongs any such companies. But in my experience I found following observations.
                                Our peoples more focusing on cosmetic appearance. So they select small frames, in this case most of the time either near vision or distance vision may not completely available. This will create disturbance in vision. Objects are not clearly visible. It will happen in bi focal lenses and progressive lens. Selecting big frame for hi power lenses & complaining about edge thickness & center thickness are good examples. For stylish look peoples will select fancy goggles & asked vendor to fit power lenses to that frame. Always remember fitting accuracy depending on curvature of lenses. If you fit powered lenses to this kind of frames, Lens curvature may not suit to frame curvature. Color of lens, in optical terminology we call that as tinting. Most of the times actual tinting may not match with Goggles lens colors. I faced this kind of problems.
                                While fixing the progressive lenses, distance between two eye balls (exactly it should be measured in horizontal position) in optical terminology this is called PD & HIGHT is very important .While measuring this customer also understand the concept & co operate accordingly. Many opticians are simply measuring manually & marking the same on dummy or old lens. Progressive lens has different designs. The performance of progressive lens depending good alignment. This is depending on user, optometrist & fitter, who fit the lenses to the frame. Making 1mm mis alignment in PD or Height, end user will face vision & adaptation problems. This may happen because of customer, fitter or UN skilled optometrist.
                                Peoples like rimless fitting & semi rimless frames. (In optical terminology we call that as 3 piece & supra fitting respectively). In this case cosmetic look of the frame is depending on lens thickness & power of the lens. Lens thickness depending on power of the lens, diameter, cylindrical axis, refractive index of lens material. Anyway all consumers can’t understand these critical parameters. For example right eye may have positive power & left may have negative power in this case, this kind of lenses are matched as much as possible. But in many cases it may not be exactly matched. There will be some variation. Excluding geometrical & mathematical limitation our people’s demand for good cosmetic looks. This is not wrong, but it has certain limitation. Select the frame depending on power & frame dimensions. Discus with vendor regarding cosmetic matching. An expert can give good suggestion to you.

                                Spectacle maintenance & management: In my service I saw only few peoples managed their spectacles well. I believe only 2 to 3 % of our peoples can manage their spectacle. Then what is the reason for bad management of spectacles?
                                I observed following main reasons.
                                Mishandling of frames like, kept in wrong position. Lenses touching surface! Cleaning by not recommended cloth like, hand kerchiefs, inner wearing cloths, detergents! So many cleaning solvents! Bare hand cleaning, & continuing with their great ideas! Use always recommended cloth for the same. Always remember your hands having oiliness; if you clean it by hands it will develop thin oil film on your lenses! Air condensation on lens will cause fogy & no clear vision. Cleaning with cloth will cause scratches on the lenses! Your cloth may have lot of hard particles! Each particle will create scratches. If it is plastic lens especially UN coated only god can save them! Wash you cleaning cloth & use it. Keep it in dust free area. Sweating will also cause fogy lens. Fogy means moisture depositing on lens due to sweating or condensation. Always clean the lens with soft & clean cloth. In plastic lenses there are many type of plastic materials are there. They may be damaged because of detergents & solvent cleaning. Get your vendor suggestion regarding this & strictly follow the same! Rim lens fittings are very sensitive to shock & impacts. It will break easily. So take care & avoid such situation.

                                  I also bought Fastrack watch 2 years back cost 1500/- Rs. Now its fibre belt is breaking from one side. I visited near by dealer shop. He said this can't be repaired & asked me to go to the same show where i bought. I also dont have bill of purchase. Who keeps bills for so long. He also said that this can't be repair. This has to go to company & company will value your watch. Approx you get 50% of the actual cost. That means for 1500 Rs watch i am going to get only 750 Rs at max. What a ? I bought it with a thought that i dont need any watch for next 4-5 years. Also you get 50% value only if you are buying again Titan watch else throw it in a dustbin.

                                  Titan suck. I learned a big lesson. YOu should not buy expensive watches with indian brand. They are not worth. If you are spending 2K then better spend 1K extra & buy european brand. It is really heart breaking that big Indian company product is still not up to world class quality.

                                  Really i won't buy any titan product & won't recommend either.

                                  Titan Fastrack Watch — follow up of old complaint

                                  Resp. Sir/Madam,
                                  I complained about my fastrack female watch on this site on 1/9/2011. Then I went to showroom where I purchased and they did not helped. Again I went to the service centre and talked in a harsh & loud tone in presence of two other customers. So the person on duty assured me that he will solve my complaint till evening. He gave my watch back in the evening saying that he replaced the movement from his own stock. At present my watch is working properly. As I complained on this site, today I got phone call from company executive from Titan - Mr. Devang Rami and he asked me if my complaint was solved or not. He assured me that if I would have any problem in the future, he will solve my problem quickly and permanently. I am thankful to him and all the people on this site for attending my complaint.

                                  Titan watch belt — Titan

                                  I purchased a Titan watch strap (Belt) from Verma Watch Trading Company near old bus stand Solan. within three weeks the strap got damaged. though the owner of the shop accepted his culpability declined to replace the poor quality strap he gave. He kept assuring come after 4 days, a week later etc. Company of Titans repute must take stern action against such malevolent businessmen

                                    My name is Anmol Jain and I had purchased TITAN FASTTRACK SUNGLASSES at Rs. 1800 from Bangalore on April 2006. It had a warranty for 1 year. Within 1 year, the glasses got scratches and I went to Ambala Cantt, Packard Watch Company, Rai Market to submit the same. The person at Packard Watch Company showed reluctance in accepting statng that the glasses were not purchase from him. After showing him warranty card and arguing for all india validity, he accepted my glasses to be sent to company.

                                    After huge follow-up, I was told in 2009 that my glasses have been taken by company and I can get a voucher of Rs. 700 which has to be availed at his shop in buying glasses only.

                                    I found this as cheating and left his shop immediately. How can glasses of Rs. 1800 be valued against discount coupon of Rs. 700 and that too after 2 years from the company. I have lost trust on TITAN as a brand and had also written complaints to company to no avail.

                                    I should get my glasses back even in scratched form or entire Rs. 1800 or new sunglasses.

                                    Hope to seek some justice in this regard.
