The car Toyota Etios Liva(CH 01AN 4748) was purchased from Globe Toyota, Karnal in May 2012.All the services whether first three free or paid till date had been carried out at Globe Toyota, Mohali.My family owns other two cars as well, one is Renault Duster and second is Hyundai I 20.The satisfaction we used to get earlier, after servicing, was even shared with pride with Renault and Hyundai.But this time the quality of service which was done on 17/03/17 has deteriorated to a very low level.The issues experienced were as follows;
--Discrepancy in service timings---A day before the service date a phone call was received and time fixed was 3:00pm, but on next day(due service day)a short message was received which conveyed 2:00pm.I called up that number and after discussion time was fixed for 2:00pm(for which I had to make changes in my schedule).This was a normal paid service but the lady on the other side said it was a normal health check up, which was again clarified.
--Delayed attendance--On reaching the service center on time, the guard took me inside the reception area, but I had to call somebody to attend.He did the first initial formalities but neither gave me the expense estimate nor the time estimate for delivery of the vehicle.Then another person comes who gave me both the estimates but delivery time was 5:30 pm.On this I argued that approximate time conveyed on phone was two hours, which was rescheduled to 4:30 pm delivery time.
--Accessories not properly fixed--On reaching home I noticed that one of the wheel caps was not properly fixed & could have fallen off on high speed or during jerk on any of the speed breakers.Another thing I found missing was the wiper blade(rubber part), which otherwise was conveyed to me by service staff for replacement but I had refused.
Toyota is a big name in automobile industry but such irritants shall mar the brand name in the market.I hope such matters are looked into & proper actions are taken after root cause analysis.
Toyota customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
