    I own a toyota etios (model2011) petrol. I bought this vehicle relying on the brand name over other car manufacturers and going against my friends' suggestions. I am really dissatisfied and frustrated as yesterday the rear seat locks just broke and the rear seat would not fit the car now. When i went to toyota mohali to get it fixed (i was even ready to pay the expenses for replacement) i was told that the only way to get this situation fixed was to buy a new rear seat which costs more than 8000 Rs. Why should i pay such an amount because the company supplied such a inferior quality of plastic for the seat lock. It is really basic and this was really not expected out of a company like toyota. I was planning to buy another toyota in january however, if this is the kind of parts and service, I would refrain myself and my friends from buying toyota again.

        Dear Head of Customer Relations, I am Janakiraman. I am a customer of Toyota. I am currently owning and using Toyota Etios Sedan. The vehicle registration number is KA51 MB 3493. The vehicle had travelled only 40000 Kilometers so far using the car. I am so far one of the net promoters of Toyota and even planned to purchase higher versions but extremely disappointed with the current situation which is challenging my relationship with Toyota. I would like to seek your attention and assistance to resolve a terrible situation I am going through with Toyota vehicle and the dealer. Context: I purchased Toyota Etios Vx version in May 2011 from Nandi Toyota and so far regularly servicing from Nandi Toyota. On 17th November 2015, while I was driving normally, all of a sudden a metal to metal grinding sound appeared and the car stopped. Then I realized that oil was leaking from the bonnet. I called for Toyota roadside assistance and they informed that there is a jam in the engine. They also advised me to tow the vehicle to nearest Toyota service center. Then I towed the car to Nandi Toyota (Motor World) Bommanahalli where I serviced the vehicle. They received the vehicle and kept it for few days and informed that the engine ceased due to hydraulic lock and wanted me to approve for dismantling. They also insisted to accept to pay for the respective charges. I insisted to report this to head of Toyota (not Nandi Toyota) as engine ceased within 40000 kilometers under normal conditions which creates strong suspicion on the defect as Toyota engines are certified for 300000 Kilometers and warrantied for 100000 kilometers. The Nandi Toyota manager Mr. Unni came to my home and also threatened me that if I do not accept for dismantling and terms & conditions, my car will not be delivered at all. Then I accepted for them to dismantle the engine to find the root cause. Now they informed me yesterday that it is due to hydrostatic lock and I need to pay Rs. 124798/- (exclusive of taxes) and around Rs. 150000/- with taxes. They also informed me that they consulted Toyota manufacturing office and they refused to accept. My concern: The world number 1 car company is Toyota and manufacturing quality cars. The toyota engines are certified for 300000 kilometers. I have driven only 40000 kilometers. And the vehicle was safely parked in closed car parking and there are no chances of water. I did not either drive in water or even washed the car so many days. I have fueled in HP petroleum petrol station. I serviced regularly that too in Nandi Toyota (Toyota authorized service center) Even before 5 months, the service was done by Nandi Toyota And after all these, the engine ceased with jam under normal conditions After purchasing the Vehicle for around Rs.700000, within just few kilometers and 4 .5 years, the engine ceased is not acceptable. My request: I understand that one in several units may have problems. As I became the victim of such engine problem, I request Toyota to consider replacing the engine with a new one without charging me for replacement, labor and other charges. I look forward for a favorable response. Note: Before this incident happened the car was parked for 22 days in a closed car parking at my home as I/my wife was in Delhi. When I returned from Delhi, tried starting my car, it was not starting and I called Toyota road side assistance to jump start the car on 13th Nov 2015. Then it was fine for couple of days then on 17th Nov the car broke down. For all these days it was parked under closed car parkings at my home and office. I personally checked along with the representatives of Nandi Toyota both inside the bonet and inside the car. And it was completely clean and there were not traces of water.             Dear Toyota team, I bought a new Toyota Innova Top end around 3 months back. PYO1CH 0003 in Pondicherry. From date of Purchase Head lights was not at all functioning well and also I have complaint many times to Lanson Toyota in Pondicherry and Chennai . But no use. Due to that I met an accident last week and also my Innova was in service centre. I need a real solutions and in case of any risk on this again Toyota was liable legally.               After getting prior appointment from Mr Suresh working at above said centre, my driver went to showroom for purchase of new tyre.But Mr B choosen one model the same thing was insisted by Mr A also.My driver asked for same brand existing with 3 tyres.suddenly Mr B with high pitch voice said Mr A to throw this vehicle outside.The way the people behaved at that movement was not at all acceptable.we all o[censored]s hurt& insulted by this act.

Complaint To Cust Relation Officer Miss Akansha & Also Complaint To Your Cust Care Toll Free No But Nobady Responce Me Apart from that their service is so poor and people are very lezzy. Galaxy Toyota, B-23, Okhla Industrial Area Phase - 1 New Delhi-110020 LEGAL NOTICE UNDER SECTION 28A OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986, SECTIONS 406/420, INDIAN PENAL CODE AND SECTION 4 OF THE COMPETITION ACT, 2002. 1. That on 17.02.2012, the undersigned bought a “Toyota Corolla Altis”, top end version (manual transmission) bearing registration no. DL3C BD 5705 from Noticee No. (iv). 2. That the very next day after delivery of my vehicle, the undersigned noticed that all the outer metallic body parts of the vehicle were totally rusted. He immediately complained to the dealer and after hectic persuasion, they agreed to replace the metallic parts including the logo et cetera. The undersigned insisted on a new vehicle since one day old vehicle could not have such a major rusting problem. However, the officials at the showroom persuaded the undersigned to keep the vehicle. Little did the unsuspecting undersigned know at that relevant time that he had been sold an old and defective vehicle. 3. Thereafter, after about a month the boot of the vehicle did not open from inside through the lever and had to be opened through the remote after shutting the engine of the car. Again after hectic persuasion the said defect was remedied. 4. The miseries of the undersigned were not to end and he noticed that the rear bumper of the car started looking patchy. It was evident that the rear bumper had been repainted and the patches had started to emerge. Also, to his utter shock and dismay, he noticed that the black paint at the edges of both the side mirrors had started to peel off. The black paint of the side mirrors fell off every time the mirror was opened and closed. The black paint on the side of the mirror had a permanent coat of dust as the paint has completely worn out. The undersigned approached his dealer, Galaxy Toyota, Kotla and requested them to take care of his concerns. However, he was flatly told that they had sold the car and that it was his pro blem now. The undersigned was constrained to send a legal notice dated 07.07.2012 to the company as well to the dealer. 5. The car once again developed a serious problem sometime in the month of August 2015 when it developed an acute problem in its “spiral cables” and the Horn of the car stopped working. Furthermore, the car developed a leakage in both its rear suspension after doing only 23, 000kms in city conditions. 6. The undersigned sent his car to the service center of Noticee No. 4 on 02.08.2015. The service center confirmed the above manufacturing defects and quoted Rs. 14, 000/- (Rupees Fourteen Thousand approximately) for replacing the spiral cables and Rs. 7, 000/- (Rupees Seven Thousand approximately) for replacing the rear suspensions. It was intimated to the undersigned that the product was out of warranty since the warranty states that it covers “three years or 1, 00, 000 Kms” whichever is earlier. That the undersigned has no choice but to get these defective parts replaced from Toyota or its authorized dealers and, therefore, the noticees are abusing their dominant position in the relevant market. 7. The undersigned has only driven about 23, 000 kms in city conditions. The car is well maintained and self driven. That it goes for regular scheduled check-ups and services. 8. A high end product like “Corolla Altis” is expected to deliver better results and is expected to be hassel free. It is shocking that such defects surface within 25, 000kms of its being used. It is also appalling that the defects surface immediately after the expiry of the warranty period. That such sub-standard product is not expected from a premier brand like Toyota. 9. The terms of the warranty are also lopsided and the consumer falls victim of the dominant position of the car manufacturer. 10. The undersigned was constrained to send another legal notice dated 25.09.2015. (Copy Enclosed) 11. The dealer sent an email dated 26.09.2015 stating inter-alia as under:- “At the outset, we would like to inform you that, vehicle sales date is 15/02/2012 and warranty period of vehicle is 3 year or 1 lakh km, whichever is earlier. As per above the time period your vehicle is out of warranty. So the concerned part (spiral cable and rear shocker) is not covered under warranty. So on your special case, we will provide 10% discount on labour and 5% discount on parts as Goodwill gesture.” 12. The undersigned responded to the said reply vide email dated 26.09.2015 questioning the arrogance displayed by the dealer and also highlighting the fact that no explanination whatsoever had been offered by the dealer for the sub standard product. (Copy Enclosed) 13. That the undersigned receive d a call from the service centre of the dealer on 27.09.2015 requesting him to send his car to the service center. The undersigned agreed and his car was picked up on 28.09.2015 by the driver of the dealer. The car was kept for the entire day and the undersigned was once again informed that the car had a leakage in the rear suspensions and that the spiral cables had to be replaced at his own cost. 14. It is a matter of grave concern that consumers in India are being cheated by companies which are dumping cheap and substandard products in India. The undersigned has been sold a defective vehicle which has been giving problems from the first day of its purchase. The undersigned suspects that the vehicle was a “Demo Car” and a used vehicle. 15. The present legal notice is a continuation of the earlier legal notices dated 07.07.2012 and 25.09.2015 which demonstrates that the problem in the vehicle continues from 2012 onwards and, therefore, the warranty subsists even today. 16. In view of the above, I call upon you to forthwith change the defective parts as indicated in paras 5 and 6 hereinabove within 15 days of receipt of this notice, failing which I shall be constrained to take such legal action as deemed fit at your risk and cost. The undersigned reserves his right to appropriately claim for damages on account of mental agony, harassment etc. 17. This notice may be treated as notice under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, Indian Penal Code and Competition Act, 2002. 18.                     I bought Toyota Innova during January 2013, my vehicle met with an accident during may 2013, the same was atended by Lanson toyota - Vellore branch, therafter during January 2015 it was informed by the service engineer saying that the power steering is rusted. i asked to attend the same as it is within warranty period, they refused saying that, Under section 9 pf the warranty manual at page no 489 it cont be attended.
                    i saw page no 489 it refers to contact the place i have taken delivery of the vehicle. it is pertinent to mention that, the delivery dealer, the garage attended after the accident and the garage which refuses to attend the repair are one and the same dealer.
                    kindly treat it urgent and avoid unnecessary litigation by attending the same under warranty please.

                      I have Toyota innova top model purchase last year and i have also old model innova which i have purchased in 2006 but i think i had done a mistake that again i cosider for your innova model vehicle cost is just double and the quality of product become very poor as we know Toyota is a world renouned company but ur quality in India going poor to poor day by day I make a complain in showroom for good year tyre 1 month ago but there is no any answer from good year company please Sir dont use this type of 3rd class quality product in Toyota brand after all we are paying for it first u deliver innova with Bridgestone tyre now u are deliver ed by a 3rd class quality good year tyre my all tyre become in very poor condition only in 32000km please Sir dont compromise in quality otherwise no one buy ur Toyota cars please make quality control and replaced my tyre by Bridgestone i will pay the difference amount. I hope u will consider my complain. Thanks

                        Dear Toyota Team, I am a new toyota customer and proud owner of the new Toyota Etios from Nov 14.. I have purchased the vehicle from your esteemed dealer ship Toplink Motors Pvt Limited, Ranchi, in Nov 14 Please find below my vehicle details for your ready reference. Vehicle Number : JH01BM1768 VIn Number : MBJB29BT[protected] Date of Registration : 31 Dec 14 Vehicle Model : Toyota Etios Vx I have done my first service on 09/12/2014 in your dealer Shinrai Toyota Service Center at Cotton Green Station, Mumbai. Later I have been transferred to Visakhapatnam on official purpose. On 17/08/2015, I observed a fuel leakage. So I have shifted my vehicle to your dealership (M/S Leelakrishana Toyota, Visakhapatnam, Dealer Group Radhakrishna Toyota) for repairs. After detailed inspection your dealership technicians noticed that there is an Aluminum heat shield missing from vehicle & two bolts of fuel tank were not there in the vehicle at all. As a consequence the petrol tank came in contact with the surface of exhaust pipe, resulting in melting of the fuel tank. I strongly feel that my vehicle was hastily examined during the previous service resulting in this condition. Please note that my vehicle has not even completed one year usage. I was very surprised to see such a nature of fault, which could have lead to serious consequences with mortal threat to anyone from my family while driving the car. I have gotten the tank and the aluminium shield replaced on my expense. This kind of incident, being an aberation to the norm is not even being covered by my insurance. Looking at the nature of defect, the technicians could only indicate a lapse during previous inspection. I request you to kindly examine the reason behind such an occurrence which if not detected timely would have surely resulted in a major mishap. Personally, I have lost the faith in the service quality being provided, despite of that being the prime reason of buying a Toyota vehicle. I would like to quote, that I being in the armed forces, had immense faith in the quality and the superiority of customer satisfaction maintained by Toyota. After this incident, i am not sure if i will be able to maintain the same. If a brand new car can have such kind of defect, which will go unnoticed until a mishap happens, then there is sure some lapse on the quality Toyota maintains. I have already paid up for the uncalled repairs, as the vehicle has not even completed an year and is well within the warranty provided by Toyota. It is requested that a serious inquiry may be made into such lapse and my hard earned money and the trust in Toyota be reimbursed.

                            I had sent my Toyota Fortuner for repair at your Hubli Service centre Shodha Toyota after a minor accident. The service centre promised a delivery date of 14 August 2015. However, till date the vehicle is not repaired and I was facing huge financial losses as My job requires me to travel a lot. The company is neither providing me a replacement vehicle nor they are compensating me for the expenses I have to bear from my pocket.                               We have purchased Innova Car modelKUN04R-GKMNYX during May, 2012. Now have noticed a problemof continuous illumination of airbag indicator. We took the vehicle to To Lanson Toyota India, Pondicherry for its rectification. Now they saying that the sensor Assmy of Airbag to be replaced with a cost Rs. 33, 600/- plus labour charges. Our compliant is that normally such safety equipment will not tear out/damed normal usage. It should be manifacture defect and it should be replaced free of cost. In this connection have seen a report in Car Blog India regarding faulty airbags on Toyota Innovawhich they have identified defect in airbog and the part will be replaced free of cost. Please direct Lanson Toyota, Pondicherry to replace the defect with free of cost.

                                Dear Sir,
                                I would like inform towards a genuine problem i have
                                faced in this service center. My car was been hit from front by some
                                unknown vehicle besides road parking. Immediately i visited service
                                center (Infinium Toyota, Ahmedabad) to know about expenditure. They have
                                allotted me a service adviser who have drove my car and given estimation
                                for the same(approx 14000 rs.), but they have not explained me that vehicle radiator is damaged and coolent is leaked and it is not in the condition to drive. After that i left service center after issuing a valid gate pass by them.

                                After few hours i was supposed to move at out of station and as i was not
                                technically aware about that i drove vehicle around 150 kms and it got
                                stopped on the way due to access heating. It was evening time and i was
                                with my family. i was not aware what to do or what not to. As it was
                                matter for safety of my family i have asked nearby local veh technician
                                and they have suggest me to replace immediately radiator if i want to
                                reach home safely. i was not having any option on that time and finally i
                                have decided to repair veh temporarily to reach home and toyota service
                                center later.

                                Now after reaching service center, they have checked the vehilce and telling now that i should not drive the vehilce without collent or if having problem in radiotor. Now they are saying that to total cost of repair is around 1.5 lac for replace of
                                block – piston as it is damaged and approx 50 thousand to repair the same.

                                Kindly help me in this regard as it is a fault of toyota service center.
                                They use to remind every time about any technical issue during
                                service & expert checking, but this time they have not done and because of this faced this problem. I have also complained Toyota HQ, but they have just replied that they are taking with their management. Till date they have not given any positive response.

                                    Dear Respected Sir,

                                    This is Ajay Khatwani From Maitree Bihar Colony, Dhamtary. CG. I am the Owner of one Toyota Innova Car, My Car no is :- CG 05 4100.

                                    Sir, on day of 14/05/15, due to accident, my car got damaged & for it's repairing I have went to my nearest Toyota Service Center, Vicon Toyota - Service Center - Durg. There person told me it may takes 15 days to repair.

                                    It's 14/07/15, I am continuity complaining to call center and Vicon Toyota Service center too, but neither they are giving me any ultimatum, nor they are replying me regarding this issue

                                      Dear Sir, ​​Service center always help me lot and get repair the fault but substandard quality of the vehicle always give fault again and again . Even Mr Asit service manager always taken my complaint and got repair but why Toyota is not giving reply on delivery of defective vehicle to me . Since last two years i have been harassed by Toyota but no one even called me to understand the root cause of the defective vehicle . Once only India West region service manager called me and said that concern area service manager will call me but i am still waiting ti listen company verdict on the failure of the vehicle . ​Please go thru my complaints and tell me did i buy this vehicle to visit your service centers for regular defects . ​1. With in 3 months of purchase main seal of engine oil was got leaked and vehicle got repaired after 10 days. Repair DOC NO GSJ1306326 dated 16 Aug-2013​ 2. Fault again reported but not resolved related to break doc no GSJ13-10305 dated 16 Sep 2014 ​ 3. Break noise complaint made by me every time since purchase but no solution given because company was waiting to get spent more time . So that they can demand money from the customer for faulty break pad provided in the vehicle. Now they charged me for the same than why Toyota did replaced when I complaint first time.It was repaired on 12 Oct 2014 and charges was taken from for the same vide doc no GSJ14-12613​ 4. Self starter were fail one and half month back on the road . Fault was not acceptable at all to me because as per service center one nut of the whole assy. was came out fault . DOC NO GSJ14-11321​ 5. End sub assy & Boot Rack Steering replaced on 21 Oct 2014 . doc no GSJ14-12999​​ 6. On 15 Nov AC gone defective, in which one part was replaced on 17 nov. ref doc no GSJ14/-14248​ 7. Again one more defect is found since repaired last time on 17 Nov, that ABS is not working . I know you will not do any thing but my duty is to inform you . ​ 8. Again Air conditioner stopped working on 15 May2015 which was repaired on 29 May-15 . Still there is no solution of out side air comes inside the vehicle, in which service center repaired all parts like condenser, evaporator and cooling coil of sealed system . but result is zero .​ 9. Now again break noise again started as it was reported earlier and same is communicated the service center.​​I am being harassed by Toyota Motor by not replacing my vehicle not even talk to me any time about the solution .​​ Thanks & Regards​Pradeep Jindal[protected]​
