With great agony and pain, I am writing this e mail to you. The Toyota have always been the harbingers of quality products and exemplary services to the consumers. Yet unfortunately, I have recently gone through the bitter experience from one of your dealers in Mohali, Chandigarh, i.e, Globe Toyota, B-51, Phase –IV, Industrial Area, Mohali, Chandigarh, Punjab, India.
I have booked a Toyota INNOVA (2.5 G – Diesel) Globe Toyota, Mohali, Chandigarh, India, and paid the booking amount of Rs. 50,000/- by cheque (deposited in Shimla, HP, India), as directed by them, on 17th February, 2010. I was promised by the above dealer that the Vehicle would be delivered to me on 18th February, positively.
I may mention here that the Castle Toyata in Jallandhar, Punjab, India was inclined to deliver the vehicle the very next day on payment of a smaller booking amount of just Rs. 10,000/-. However, since the Globe Toyota was nearer to Shimla, HP, I preferred them.
Having not received any intimation from the Globe Toyota, I contacted them on 26.2.2010 and I was given the contact number of the sales representative, Mr. Mayank, After repeatedly contacting Mr. Mayank, I was informed that the vehicle which was promised to be delivered to me on 18.2.2010 had been sold to someone else and that I would be informed further only after getting the status of future delivery.
I again repeatedly tried to contact Mr. Mayank on 28.2.2010, but he did not pick up the phone. Today, i.e., 3.3.2010, he obliged me by picking up his phone and informed that he is yet to get the status.
So my humble submissions are –
(1) When I had deposited the booking amount of Rs. 50000/- on 17.2.2010 and immediately faxed the entire information, why I was not delivered the vehicle on 18.2.2010 by Globe Toyota, as promised.
(2) Even thereafter, the above dealer has not been responding in an appropriate manner, which is quite unworthy of a dealer of a multinational company.
(3) The sales representative too fails to respond properly. He generally does not pick up his phone and in case he happens to pick it up, he has no information at all. In a fiercely competitive world, this type of attitude would be fatal to the long term interests of the company.
(4) Due to non-delivery of vehicle, I would have now to pay the revised price, which is very unjust for me. I had booked my vehicle on the promise of delivery on 18.2.2010 by Globe Toyota. I was given to understand that at the time booking, one INNOVA was available with the Globe Toyota, Mohali, Chandigarh. And in case they didn’t have the one, why did they lie to me. On both the counts their behavior was totally irresponsible.
I, therefore, request you to look into the matter in right earnest and to ask Globe Toyata to deliver the vehicle to me immediately on pre-budget price.

THEREFORE I KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO REPLACE FORTUNER VEHICLE WITH INNOVA ONE V-TYPE AS I NEED VEHICLE BADLY FOR MY TRAWELLING AND PAY ME THE DIFFERENCE AMOUNT BEFORE WE APPROACH ANY COURT OF LAW OR MEDIA AND PLEASE ADVICE YOUR COMPANY SUPERIOR REGARDING MY CONCERN.

all Fortuners manufactured post March 2010 have "ZERO" brake problems, i bought one a week back and the Brakes are perfect, i took it to 160, and the brakes work absolutely fine.
I completely agree with all the other statements made by everyone here, and i do feel sorry for you guys as you spent the same amount of money, but the bitter truth is that all new fortuner's from here on would have very good brakes, and zero problems

I buy toyota fortuner vehicle on january 1, 2011 , when driving car first 70 kilometer i found break have some problem, i can kannur dealer and inform vehilce have some probloem, they inform me that this may be my feeling, but later some of my freinds driver this vehicle they find out this breake have serious problem this is not working properly, now for the lat 2 weeks, i am communicating with our kannur (kerala) dealer and also TOYOTA cusotmer care also for thsi, still now they not give me any favouble reponse, PLEAE ANYBODY CAN HELP ME FOR THIS. I cant drvier this vehicle now, there is serious breake problem for this.

I recently got a new fortuner UP 43 V8011, its been 2 months i was happy with it, but on 21st april 2014, i met with a sever accudent with a bus . I was driving it at the speed of 90 to 100 km/hr mark n suddenly a bus came from no where in front of me. There was a dustance of 80 to 100 meter, i honked n took a strong brake but brakes didnt work at all, n i banged the bus, it was a very fatal accident. Thank god air bags did open, i was completely shocked after this incident, a premium suv with so much power has such poor brakes . I escaped death.
I want toyota to compensate me n give me a new car. Im not gonna settle for less. Tomorrow going to toyota dealership
