I am hereby writing this email with regards to the Disrespect, Pathetic and Worst experience overall being a customer of Videocon D2H for years now.
Such disgraceful events have been happening for months with your customer care people who are working in your company who have zero knowledge about how to treat their customers and do not have any knowledge about customer service.
I have been facing issues with your services for 1 and half years and today it was the worst and hopeless service again as expected.
FIrstly, the set-top box has been replaced almost 3 times in a year. Whenever the complaint was raised the technician visited and said the set-top box is faulty and needed to buy a new one.
I purchased a new one and that worked only for a couple of months and again the same issue, when I raised a complaint again the technician visited and said the set-top box is not working properly and needed to be replaced.
Once again I had to purchase a new one after having multiple calls with your executives and supervisors. I believe that Videocon D2H just needs money and hence they give faulty devices so that it can be changed every now and then by using the customers amount to make money.
All the hassle I have been through and then whenever I speak to a customer care I do not get any person who is professional enough to speak about any issue. They just hang up the call or either speak to customers in a rude way as if they are providing services for free.
I had an issue while getting the connection shifted to a new place, I had to make numerous calls and schedule a technician as your pathetic customer care is of no use and if we ask for a supervisor they just hang up the call or just give some or the other excuse.
It has not even been a couple of months that I have shifted to a new place and the problem started again with the D2H connection as "NO SIGNAL". I tried almost 50 times to the customer care however understanding the situation in lockdown I kept quiet and have not raise any concern.
Post the lockdown was opened I have called and complained about the issue that D2h is not working, also i informed them that it has not been working since march and I could not raise a complaint as the customer care number was not working.
The person whom I spoke to informed me that though you use the services or not your recharge amount would expire, which I have never heard with any other service provider like (Airtel, Tata Sky) - as they adjust the amount if the Dish connection did not work for a few particular days.
15 days back I raised a complaint and I was informed that a technician would come in a day within 24 hours and it would be fixed. I never received any call from your technician nor from customer care regarding the same. Today I again called and asked regarding the complaint one of your customer care executives informed me that there was no request raised. Can someone tell me what kind of service is this ?? and what kind of standards is Videocon maintaining by providing this kind of services ??
Today when I called and asked about the same issue again, they said no complaint was raised, when asked for supervisor the executive disconnected the call. I had to call back and speak to 2 different people again and explain the whole story again. Also I informed them that I have been recharging the TV as I expected someone would come and fix it and it should work. I asked them about the refund they said once a technician arrives and once the work is finished we will assist you with the same. Also on the same call I have informed them that I won't be paying the technician if it's not my fault and moreover your company should bear this for the inconvenience that has been causing me since months by using your VIdeocon D2H. Though I mentioned that fine, let the technician arrive and fix the issue as first priority and later we can discuss the same.
Technician named "Prasad" arrived and as soon as he stepped, the first thing he said was 200 is the charge in a very rude manner, I said fine and he checked and went up and fixed the issue and unfortunately the recharge also finished today.
He said you need to give me the amount Rs. 200 by cash, I told him you can speak to your company and I will recharge the same amount and you can deduct the same from my account. I do not understand how Videcon has hired unprofessional people in their customer care and field work.
The technician "Prasad" just mentioned that you have to pay the cash or speak to customer care. When I called up to customer care some person answered the call and I informed my issue and the person hung up like always your customer care people do. Again I called and spoke to some lady from your customer care department and informed her the complete scenario and told her that the TV is not working for 3 months however I have been recharging it every month thinking someone would come and fix it. The very first statement she gave me was no refund will be given to you as it does not matter if you the D2h was working or not.
When asked for a supervisor, she just kept the call blank for more than 3 minutes and she comes back and says no supervisor and we cannot help you. I told her I do not have cash and deduct the amount from my account I will recharge it, first she gave me the option and I handed over the phone to the technician "Prasad", he spoke to the lady and handed me the phone and the customer care executive mentioned that technician is not listening and I will have to pay him right away. I mean what kind of service is this ?? The customer care person says in a rude manner that I cannot help, there would not be any refund and technician says I need the amount right now, when I said its a problem from your end and I have been trying to get this fixed since 2 months and now you have responded and treating a customer this way, is this the way Videocon does business ??
I informed the customer care executive that I would not need the connection and they can take the set-top box, she just hung up the call on my face without even listening to what I had to say.
She said the technician is not listening, you will have to pay the amount. I said you can deduct it from my account. They said no it won't happen and the customer care executive ended the call.
The technician was so rude and just said I need my money and you have to pay and was sitting on my head, I told him I am not giving you any amount until this is sorted, he just says please talk to customer care and customer care just disconnects the call with a bunch o[censored]nprofessional and sense less people.
I was shocked to see the technician's response, he just said fine I will go and disconnect the connection and he just walked away and he did disconnect the connection. I was like wow, what a customer service Videocon is providing. Hats off to your people. Please let me also join your company and make customers a fool and just earn from them.
It is such a shameful thing that I have seen today and you people have changed the meaning of customer service and customer satisfaction. Maybe you guys have a different level of maintaining customers by insulting them and making a fool out of them.
I have been using Videocon D2H since years now and never I have faced such issues, I have changed the set-top box 3 times by paying 2500 every month which totals to 7500 in less than one and half year and recharging for Rs. 400 every month, if I consider last 2 years then it comes to Rs. 400*24 which totals to 9600 in which the D2h did not work for maximum months and paid service charge for each technician visit Rs. 200 for more than 10 times so far.
Does your company provide the faulty set-top box to fool customers which does not even work for more than 3 months and it has to be replaced and you can charge another Rs. 2500 to the customer??
When calling the customer care number the very talented and extra ordinary people speak as if they are the customers and we work under them, that's how to treat the customers.
I informed the technician I need to escalate, he says send email or speak to whoever you want, I don't care and he was even ready to take off the set-top box along with him.
I would like to see if there is anyone who is capable enough to handle customer issues and can look into this and also I would like to just close this connection so that I can choose a better service provider who provides at least some respect to their customers like Tata Sky or Airtel D2H.
I would report the same to the consumer forum and would like to close this connection as soon as possible and would never in life recommend to buy any of the Videocon products. It was the worst and pathetic and hopeless service I have ever seen in my life where no one is accountable and capable enough to do their job. I hope Videocon hires some better individuals who have some empathy and concern towards customer issues and treat them in a proper way by providing reasonable solutions.
Can I hope someone will acknowledge the same and have time to understand what kind of journey I had with Videocon being a customer for years now !

Also, I am sure that this email in which I have expressed so much about the worst journey and my concerns would be ignored considering your customer service.
