Ear sir,
I would like to narrate my recent experience with uber while in india.
On 22 march i registered with uber (Code 9602). On 25th match i have ordered a car from pune to mumbai international airport to return to london. The car was supposed to come within 2 minutes as per uber app, but it took a good 15 minutes before arriving. Apart from reckless driving in the highway, i was asked by driver to pay 230 rupees and another 35 rupees for toll roads that i think was unjustified and i was not informed of prior. I had to pay for driver's meal on the way to airport and eventually when we reached mumbai international airport, i searched the car to see if anything left behind and found my lap top mouse falling on the floor due to excessive jolting and shaking of the car along the way. I actually advised the driver that he should ensure passenger's item is not left behind, i then paid him in cash but since he did not have change to pay me the rest of money, i tipped him for the change. I then proceeded and offloaded my hold luggage and cabin baggage and when tuned back to retrieve my laptop bag from rear seat with the door still open, i have noticed that the driver simply shut the door within an split second and sped away. My running after the car did not help as everything happened within seconds. I was sill thinking that was a mistake from driver's part, so called his mobile directly but he did not answer. I also called him from 10 pm of 25 march until after 1 am of 26th march through uber app more than a dozen times and also sent more than a dozen message though uber app unfortunately to no avail. When i threatened the driver over the sms that i shall call the police, he responded and said he shall leave my bag including wallet (Substantial cash in inr and gbp, credit and debit cards, driving license) and my expensive 1100 gbp lap top recently purchased plus some books with uber pune. I have finally received an email that there might be bag belonging to me and that i could come and collect it from uber pune office. My request as to confirm content of bag still remained unanswered.
During the past week, i have sent several emails to uber (They only have non monitored email address with no phone number that you can reach and are extremely slow in responding as i have received only one vague email from a person named ganni o[censored]ber pune not addressing my concerns and request as you see through attached email. All my other emails were bounced back as uber does not have an email for communication not a telephone number where you can reach them. Furthermore, in case of emergency, they would not do anything for first 24 hours which is unreasonable considering the nature of their work.
Presently i am in london and have no idea if the contents of my bag were stolen or not and how i am going to retrieve them. It is needless to say that i am facing extreme discomfort as i had to cancel all my debit and credit cards, driving license and sensitive information i had within my lap top.
I thought i would share my story with your reader and also here in london with friends and newspapers so they should be aware of danger o[censored]sing the uber and the hidden cost and level of service they actually provide.
I am enclosing a copy of my passport and communication with uber as proof.
Update: until today 25th april 2018, i have sent numerous emails and messages to uber requesting an email and phone number so that i could arrange a courier to pick up my belongings and hand over to my london address but alas never received an answer.

I'm very disappointed with uber service, 2 days back, I travel from Airport to New Delhi, I give 1000 rupess to driver my bill six hundred so the driver was not give me balance amount to me, I already Complaint to uber but no solution coming from uber

I want my money back at any cost

    My name is Edwin, I was recently booked a Uber cab for my wife from IDA Uppal- Jubileehills, The driver took 442rs cash after the ride stating his network is slow unable to show my wife as it cash payment, My wife called me to clarify but as I was in office at that moment I couldn't take her call, She paid the cash, and After giving serval complaint's Uber is reluctant to clear my outstanding balance, I have called the uber driver many times but he never answered my call till date,

      Uber app serious problem till this i lost many items in cab... After driver dropp me there is no way to get his mobile number... And it will not be visible my number to driver... So once gone in uber cab then forget the item... There is option contact driver but this will bridge call between customer and driver however after u pick up incoming nunber from this bridge.. You will not get connected to driver it will say driver number is invalid.. Whats hell uber service... So pls be carefull... Another issue is when i see first fare before book and after paying payment or changing address the fare will not be same but it will be higher... Check this it always happening

        This happened on 20th april also. Again the same thing happened. When i booked the cab i was shown a fare of rs.165 but charged rs. 320. Please ask these uber people not to cheat their customers. That day the reason they gave was that gps was not follwed. But that was not the case. The route taken today also was the same as everyday and the driver followed the gps route only. I don't understand what is their problem with me or they do that with all the customers. Why do they offer passses or discounts if they can not keep their words.

        Since last week I am getting cars in pathetic condition. It is so stuffy in the car that it is difficult to breathe.The AC hardly works and some drivers literally stink.pls help.its getting intolerable. Often I book it just before moving so don't have enough time to cancel and book new one.Anyway most of the cars are coming like that.

          Today i have taken ride 14.4 km and the fare was showing only rs 99 and when driver end up the trip its was showing 303 rs. Which is not payable for anyone. I want my money back as i have paid to driver. Even driver don't know the route and he's map was also not working. Its happened in morning which reined my whole day. I want my money back do it faster. I am regular customer o[censored]ber.

            Uber hire was used to travel a distance of 76kms (Vallakom-udayanapuram road -lulu mall -vallakom - udayanapuram road) in kochi. I was charged for 152kms. Uber hire accepts payment mode as cash only and i paid 900/- extra cash to the driver. Have been submitting requests in the app to refund for the extra kms charged and no response till now. There is no customer care contact number and the driver is not picking up the calls to give a clarification on how can be i charged for double the travel distance. Request to look into this issue and refund asap

              Myself is satish asija new delhi mob no [protected] and i have booked the tax from uber and code no 8363 qirnn4a1sbt
              Mr pradeep driver and car no is dlirtb1307
              He have using non snese with us and told us at 3.10pm that i will first drop my passenger and then will come to you. If you want to cancell you can and book another one. However my train time is 4pm and i requsted for the same but and he was misbehaving and talking non sense.
              Please priovide us the detail of the driver ie adress and etc i will take legal action against him and sue to u also if you will not take action

              Pool services are meant to be charged what they are shown at the time of booking the same.
              But Uber India has shown some fare and then charged almost double post ride saying route changed, tell me am i the one who choose for new pool match? Why am i been looted.
              This has been repeated several times from UBER and they dont respond properly either

                I checked for your taxi on 20/04/2018 at jhalukbari guwahati for airport. Availaiability and name and number of driver appread on my mobile. It was heavily raining so i colud not talked to the driver and left the idea to take the taxi but u r showing outstanding payment of 84 rupees on that day. How can i pay for the trip which i do not took? Please look in the matter and do the needful.

                  I am jb suna ([protected]) is a existing user o[censored]ber taxi but in the month of jan and recently i have charged wrongly 2 time as i have given cash to driver and i dont have any other mode of payment.
                  Here below are the 2 payment that i refund for wrong outstanding charges.

                  27/1/2018 from 52, sector-4 gole market new delhi to to 3, bheem nagar road, sector-6 gurgaon
                  7/4/2018 from 5, panchkurian marg, bharat nagar aram bagh, paharganj new delhi to gandhi nagar geeta colony new delhi.

                  Kindly check the details i have sent many mail but not responded.

                  i have complain and given all details uber service promised me to solve with in 24 to 48 hours but nothing updated or any body contacted me.
                  My name is Arnab Laha, mob no [protected], I got a refund from Uber and have 3500 rs at my account as Uber credit, but the app doesn't allow me to use it. Please help.

                  Initial fare showed was 68rs and deducted fare is 118 rs. There was no prior notice. There was no traffic or route change
                  This is second time, when my money was deducted more then showed fare.

                    On 16th april i took a share/pool ride and the estimation cost was 176.26rs. However, uber charged me 213rs. When i debated they told me its for the additional toll. My concern is why was i not told prior to my ride, i would have not taken the ride. And if driver took an incorrect route, why should i be penalised. Also on a share ride why should i pay all the toll charges. Amount involved is very less but uber cannot fool or cheat their customers. Hence i need refund of 36rs. Also when i contacted uber service centre they keep on repeating that it is for the additional toll and also are not providing me regulatory details or how to raise a complaint details.

                    This complaint is in continuation of the previous one.
                    Uber is not trying to resolve my complaint and playing cheap tricks by not calling me and sending an email that they had tried calling me. They are giving me repetative explanations of not refunding my money. i want you to look into this request as i was travelling on a share ride and driver took the route which had 2 tolls and i was asked to pay for both the tolls which was not as per the estimation before booking UBER. They are not refunding my 36rs. It was a drivers fault and my simple question is on a SHARE ride why should i pay for both the tolls? if this is not resolved this time, i need to appeal to consumer court. Kindly guide me.

                      I want to complain against your drivers they are very arrogant to senior citizens... They don't drop on the mentioned destination they starts fighting... Today my mother had a very bad experience with uber driver of maruti suzuki wagon r no i don't remember i think it was mh-01- 6223. That driver was too arrogant he misbehaved with her & when she said that she will complain that fellow said do whatever you want this is not the way to behave... Your drivers should know how to behave... Otherwise it is very difficult to travel with such nonsense drivers o[censored]ber because of such drivers your business will be affected... I hope you look into my complaint seriously...

                        Uber speaks volumes about women safety, but implements none.
                        We had booked an uber tonight and the driver who had confirmed, baijnath, car number wb19g1933 maruti suzuki swift, not only did he not turn up, he insulted us, said it wasn't his duty to work all night, and we should fend for ourselves no matter where we were, that it wasn't his responsibility. Not only did he not show any respect despite the fact that we were women and army personnel, he did not even show any responsibility towards his job.
                        If you are stranded somewhere in the middle of the night, and need to get back fast, uber is not the answer.

But ur driver not come to pick up me. When i call he refuse & missbehave me & with my sister on phone call & cancelled ride.. Ur company charge 36.75 rs also... Complete cheating done by u... I will do complaint against this to ur head office & consumer court... I also make complaint about this to government of rajasthan / goi... So i m just informed u about this matter..                             Hi,
                            I have been over charged by rs 100 on my recent uber trip for nothing. When i contact them through app support say they say it is for the previous cancellation and overdue balance. Well there was none, i have paid for all the trips and the cancellation fee was not applicable at all. I would have known otherwise and all they say now is "the trip is too old for us to make any changes, sorry...". Well, that is not a excuse for overcharging loyal customers..

                              Hello, i booked a cab for taking my child to hospital. That time the driver started asking to pay in cash for trip i have used card payment method. Since i don’t want to get into fight with driver, i paid him cash. But, i was also charged in my card too. When asked, uber is denying to refund. Is this my fault to pay twice for their driver’s issue? Is this their problem that the deiver is not ready to take non cash trip. For your inability to regulate the drivers, how i can pay. They now stopped to respond to my mails also. What kind of service is this?

                                This has been escalatef to the customer care o[censored]ber but, with an afamant reply they refused to reimbursh the additoonal payment they got...

                                Hence, requesting you to pls help..

                                  Drivers r miss handling customers u r also blaming us u can also know that driver is not reaching the place for pickup & not picking the phone then what can we do can we sit for 24 hrs waiting for your driver today i didnt travel for 78rs bill22/04/2018 at 11:45 am but i got message then who travel in my booking. Pls improve ur software lets make complaint immeadatly

                                    How can you make penalty to me. I spoke with driver after car booked. Then there is no car. Movement in your uber map and driver switched off his mobile. I tried 6 times to get him in mobile and failed. Then only i had cancelled the booking. I troubled by your driver. Kindly provide a facility in your app to make a complaints, during cancellation. We unable to provide our views in such cases.12th april 2018 i have sent a mail to you. But till now no action in this regards. During uber booking, everytime penalty showing and unable to book car.

                                    Kindly waive the penalty to me, and enable booking.

                                      My ride shows travel from miyapur to kothapet on nov 10, 2017. Paytm shows 0. And ride fare shows588/-. Today date 22 april 2018 we travelled from vanasthalipuram to ameerpet. Apart from the current ride charges, the driver forced us to pay outstanding balance of 588/- which pertains to ride on 10th nov 2017.
                                      If paytm for 10 nov 2017 shows 0 definitely we would have paid 588/- by cash!! Then what is this outstanding balance.? Please clarify at earlier.
                                      Moreover why would the driver would skip collecting amount on 10 nov 2017. And why would he allow us to get out if we don't pay?
                                      Charging again after already paying the amount for ride on 10 nov 2017 is ridiculous. Please ensure or credit the amount of 588/-for us back.
