This is an incident which happened to me. I had made a trip on uber on[protected] to the kochi airport and selected mode of payment as cash before the trip. At the end of the trip, the driver (Mr. Axxxx, uber go, maruti swift dezire, kl41l-5339) said his phone network has problem and so the charges are not being shown. So he asked me about the fare estimate shown at the beginning of the trip. It was rs.510 + 40. Rs.40 was the pending balance due to a previous trip cancellation by a driver which i had already complained to uber help. So he asked me to pay the fare estimate, so i paid rs.550 and ended the trip. Soon after i got an email showing that my trip charge as zero. So i send an email to the uber trip help and wrote that i had paid rs.550 in cash. There was no reply or acknowledgement.
On[protected], i made another short trip on uber for which i paid in cash. On the next day, 26th march, i got a email stating that my previous trip fare has been corrected and fare of rs. 510 is due to uber (Reason: driver complained that the trip charge was not paid!). Again i went into the uber help for that trip and messaged that i had already paid the amount in cash to the driver, also i have given a one star rating to the driver and mentioned his false claims of non-payment. Again there was no reply or acknowledgment from uber side.
Later on 4th april my phone's software crashed and i had to do factory reset of it and reinstall all the apps. I reinstalled uber app but kept it disabled.
On[protected], exactly 30 days of the trip, i got a sms from paytm wallet stating that rs.510 has been deducted for a uber trip!. I was shocked and lodged a complaint with paytm order, but they replied it is deducted by uber app because the account was linked.
I went back into the uber app selected the particular trip and send a complaint to [protected]@uber for that trip explaining the details. But no reply or acknowledgement.
I searched the net looking for finding a customer care number o[censored]ber so that i can make a complaint, but uber does not have any customer care number in india, not is there any customer care email id!. Uber is a foreign app with no customer service in india?
Points to be noted are:
1) uber app has no customer care option. And query or issue to be raised is to be made only under the topics they have decided in their help section; no other issues can be raised. Uber will not acknowledge your complaint not will give any reply, don't know whether the customer queries are going to their trash folder!
2) uber has local contact numbers which is only for their partners or their drivers, not for ordinary customers!
3) uber has not sent me any email or sms stating they have deducted the money on[protected], the have stealthily looted the money from paytm wallet.
4) uber believes their drivers more than their customers, infact they hardly bother. They just want their money.
5) uber app deducted the amount even after my phone was reset and the app was in disabled state. It shows uber must be stealing users data and account information from the phone.
6) this incident is a strong point to rethink on digital payments and go back to cash payment option.
7) don't use foreign apps with no roots in india, they cannot be traced or legal steps not easy.
8) i had selected cash payment as mode of payment for this trip. Uber after one month changed it to paytm mode and stealthily deducted money from paytm account without informing me prior or after deduction.
I have attached screen shots of the uber receipts emailed to me regarding this trip.in one the corrected to charges are shown as rs.510 for 0 km ride!

    I am not setifice with your uber service i have book uber from baroda to ahmedabad at 999 cab came to my home driver ask me where to go i told him rannapark ghatlodia he to me you have updated wrong dastine so pls chang i told him ok h as i chang my destiny the amount got chang to 1500* then i told to driver why you have not told if you will chang your destiny the rate will get change he was just smiling and not saying any thing. I am sorry to say i will not go to you uber cab any time in future and even. Not give suggestions to to with uber cab your service is worst out of 5 star i will rate you 0. Sorry if i have told you something wrong

      Hello,

      This is a general behavior o[censored]ber drivers. Once the trip is accepted, they will call and ask where is pickup location (Although they are very well aware of the pick up location). Once you have given the information, next question is where is a drop. Once you responded with honest answer, he will say "ok i am coming to the pickup point". What happens next is totally based on my luck.
      Driver will come if both o[censored]s destinations nearly matching.
      Most of the cases if driver is not willing to come, he will not move from his location for atleast 5 minutes. So that customers like me will cancel the trip and they get money for no reason.
      In this case who is looser? Off course poor customer.
      Because either he is losing money or time or both.

      Today it happened 3 times for same ride and wasted 30 minutes of precious time where i have leave for office.

      There is no difference in standards of local auto and uber drivers.

      Uber app don't show the history of drivers who cancels the ride. And customer has no way to register a complaint against such incidents.
      Improve your app and customer experience.
      Hire decent drivers.
      Till then good bye to uber and hello to ola.

        We lost a samsung mobile phone today morning at around 915 am in an uber go cab while traveling from mysore road to nagarbhavi. We are pretty sure that the phone was left in the car. Driver of the cab was called and he switched it off in the next second aborting the call. We even tried to contact uber india and it's observed to be of no help. Please do the needful in the earliest!!

          On 25.04.2018, i booked sharing car @39 from sector-58, noida to eastern heights nyay khand-iiird, indirapuram ghaziabad as usual. I frequently used uber sharing car from office to residence and viceversa. Unfortunately uber india officials deducted rs. 123 from my paytm against go trip without my acceptance. This is breach of trust. I requested uber officials to refund back excess amount deducted from my paytm account. But i have neither received any refund nor any satisfactorily reply in spite of my repeated reminders.

          I was completely surprised on 02.05.2018, when instead of refunding back excess amount of trip dated 25.04.2018, they again deducted identical amount rs. 84 from my pay tm account from the trip.

          It is pertinent to say in this connection that during the said period on 02.05.2018 from 7 to 8 am, my mobile remained switched off. As a result i neither called any body nor received any call. This document can be produced on demand.

          It is not understood how i booked trip on 02.05.2018 at 7.17 am when my mobile remained switched off. This is breach of trust and agreement leading to financial loss by mischievous action of the uber officials who deliberately did it when i demanded to refund back excess amount deducted for the trip dated 02.05.2018.

          Please look into the matter and take appropriate action to get excess refunded back.

            I have tried contacting with the customer care for charging me a unwanted 178rs toll. My concern is that I had paid the airport toll charge of 100rs from my pocket as the driver asked me to pay it and I have also been charged additional 78rs for a sea link toll charge I find this also unacceptable as the car never travelled on that toll road as the driver took another route which avoided the toll. Please refer to the route chart in the snaps.

              On april 24th booked a ride with uber around 5 pm. As a habit after getting the driver details (Rafiulla), i tried reaching him a couple of time. The person at the other end said wrong number and put the phone down and thus had to cancel the ride. The rider can't wait indefinitely and thus had to cancel and rebook other ride. Uber had the audacity to charge me a cancellation fee of rs.99 rather than reprimanding the driver or taking the onus of not verifying the driver number. Since 24th have been communicating with them, but they haven't addressed the issue and have stopped responding. What should one do?

                30-04-18 around 10:00 a. M. I have booked uber cab & 2 driver has accepted my request and even 1 spoke to me and he has completing that he will attend to me after finishing is trip but after that neither he has come, nor he answered my call.
                ‪even he did not bother to cancel the trip and kept transferring to other drivers! Unnecessary i have paid charges for three pool booking ‬

                I booked a cab and called him he said I'll be there in mins. But after waiting for half an hour he didn't came and then he put my number into block list so I wasn't able to contact him. And so that I have cancelled the ride but this [censored]ing Uber asking for a cancellation charges. Do you think it's fair??

                  I am a regular user o[censored]BER cab.
                  I am happy with your service but recent few days I have faced problem repeatedly and thought to bring it to your notice for service and system improvement.
                  Last night 30-04-18 around 10:00 a.m. I have booked UBER Cab from Green Park hotel and one driver has accepted my request and even I spoke to him and he has confirmed that he will attend to me after finishing is trip but after that neither he has come, nor he answered my call. Even he did not bother to cancel the trip and kept transferring to other drivers.
                  Today 01-05-18 morning same thing happen, I booked a UBER Cab around 10:30 a.m. someone accepted and then he refused to come and not cancelled the trip and transferred to others and I spoke to few drivers and to avoid all these nuisances I have cancelled.
                  Please understand that of no fault of mine I have to go through all these pains and your system doesn’t ask the reason for cancellation and simple deduct money.
                  Please allow your UBER app to lodge customer grievance also.

                    Hi i availed a trip trough uber on may 1 2018. The trip was from bangalore airport to anandapura. The total cost 567. The driver asked for cash and i paid 600 after which i saw that i received an alert from uber saying the payment is pending. I reached to “ help “ telling u have already paid to driver iand they said that as the mode of payment was supposed to be credit and even if had paid in cash to driver they couldn’t help me there. If necessary go legally for this issue. What should i do?

                      On 25/4/2018 night around 8 o clock i booked a cab from egmore railway station to kodambakkam, indica car car driver name bilal valli muthu. The charges showed 166 but while getting down charges shown 718. I was shocked and how is it he said may be old due. For past 4 months i was not in station i never use credit card for cab payments. So i refushed to pay. Your driver spoke to. Somebody he also repeted the same and said i have to pay. And said it may be the driver mistake. And i paid the current amount 170 to the driver. And told to your driver it is not my mistake and asked him to verifie with your office.. Now he is calling me to come to your office to clarify. I dont want to make it a big issues.                         I took uber to airport from my hotel and was charged inr 502.25 which i paid in cash. I received an email for same with amount mentioned as inr 502.25. Now, when i logged in me web uber account to get pdf receipt of same, amount mentioned on this is inr 258.22.

                        I mailed uber team multiple times but they are not giving exact explanation of this but giving wearied replies that this is how uber works based on traffic, demand and other factors. After some replies, they even stopped responding.

                        My question to them is if i have paid inr 502.25 whay they are not giving me receipt for that amount. Is this some fraud going on?

                          I had taken a trip with Uber on March 25, 2018 and subsequently paid Rs 125.56 through my Visa Card. The APP constantly showed overdue payment. I wrote Uber through HELP section of the APP. They asked for lots of details. I even shared my card statement reflecting the amount charged on my card to UBER India. Over a few days time I was charged the same amount on my Paytm. With constant communication, I received a call one days, the executive asked for transaction ID, I advised I don't get that printed on my statement. I shared screenshots of previous payments made through my Visa. I received message that my issue has been referred to billing section and they will revert back in 7 working days. Unfortunately 3 weeks passed by and when I tried communication with the same trial, I received message that they unable to respond to conversations with more than 7 days of inactivity.

                          I think this was a ploy to ask for 7 working days time and not respond.

                          This is a very shabby customer service from UBER.

                            I had been trying to find some helpline number o[censored]ber but could not. This is a serious concern that in case of emergency we are helpless.
                            I had booked an uber taxi at new delhi railway station today at 6.30am. The taxi arrived well on time right in front of me at the usual taxi stop area. Sitting in the car itself the driver asked me the destination to which i told him my home location which is like 10kms only from station. To this he straight away denied. Slightly furious i argued that 'this is the reason i don't prefer telling the destination before sitting in car' and i told him 'i won't cancel, you should cancel the trip'. On listening this he started abusing me. I immediately opened the driver door and asked him to come out, to which he went physical with me, pushed me back with a punch on my chest and quickly sat in car and ran away.
                            And here i was, trying to find some emergency help from uber but strangely they have helpline only for drivers, not for passengers. I even tried calling the driver helpline thru the phone of my next driver (For whom i had to wait for 30+ mins) but the representative clearly denied that 'this is not the customer helpline and go write an email on help. Uber.com'.
                            I don't understand, isnt there a situation of minor emergency where someone responsible for ubers should be accessible?
                            Whatever happened can't be changed. But i want to talk to some uber representative to know their view about this and i wish i can talk to this driver once to know what grudges he had against me to abuse/hit me for such petty reason.

                              I lost my mobile phone in uber share cab, i was the lost one to get one from the cab and driver is telling he don't know where is the mobile. My mobile got switched off from where i get down from that place only. Its one plus 3t set.

                              I got into cab from jayanager 4th block to dropped off infront of market square, sarjapur road.
                              Started at 6:40 ended by 7:30 approx.

                              Please need your help on this to enquire driver and get back with mobile.

Today on 29042018 evening at 5 pm i booked cab from my residence to mehdipatnam in hyderabad. Cab driver phoned me he is coming within 5 minutes. His name is mallesam. He did not turned up. After 5 minutes i phoned him. No reply. Like this i have have made phone calls for 30 minutes. No reply from him. Then i booked another cab. Then i was charges rs 50. For cancellation charges. Am i responsible for his negligence and for not attending. Is there any any justification for charging cancellation charges from me. So please pay me back. Thank you

                                  This is regarding the recent uber trip which i requested around 40 minutes back, today only 29/par/2018, from my registered email id and mobile number, ...
                                  I called the driver, , he said, , he is at the golf course, noida and he cannot come to my location which is Sector 71, noida, , so i asked driver to cancel the trip from his end, , otherwise i will be getting changed, , , , and he disconnected the call, , and instead of cancelling the trip, , he started the trip from golf course without picking me up, and he himself ended the trip at a random location without picking me up, , what kind of behaviour is that, , i really dont care about those 48 rs.which got auto debited from my paytm account For the trip in which i was not even there in the cab, , but what kind of professionalism is that, , , and if this can happen then anything can happen, , because of these kinds of drivers, we cannot trust you guys, , really disappointing if you cannot acknowledge this and take a necessary action

                                    I lost my mobile in a uber cab today. I don't have any details since i lost my mobile. My registered uber mobile number is [protected]. I hope you can derive the details from my uber account. My alternative number is [protected]. Last ride in tata indigo ka — — 9424. I called in my number immediately and after i made 4 calls, 5 th time when i tried it was switched off. This happened in bangalore.

                                    I Feel driver refused to give it back knowingly. I tried calling to my number after 4 calls that I made, he refused to pick the call. For the 5th time when i placed a call my Phone was already switched off. Please take this issue seriously.

                                    Phone : Iphone 5s.
                                    Time : 12:30 PM.

                                    The worst part Uber does not have a call center like Ola. If this would have happened in a Ola car, by this time driver would have been forced to return my phone. I hope I get my phone soon.

                                      I had booked a Rber Ride on 13-April-2018 at 5:51AM at Howrah Station, West Bengal. It was a Tata Zest Car and the Driver was Shashi. Inspite of waiting at the Uber Booking Counter for more than 5 minutes the Driver refused to Turn up. He said he will not come at the Pickup Point.
                                      There was even a quarrel over phone between the Uber Operating-in-charge and the Driver but still the Driver did not turn up.
                                      Inspite of repeated Complaints No action has been taken against the Driver and neither the Cancellation charges refunded.
                                      Very poor service from Uber and there is no Customer Care Number to talk to.
                                      I will have to write on Social Media against this apathetic attitude o[censored]ber inspite of its Driver's fault. Very poor Experience with Uber.

                                        I had an uber ride once and that cost me app. 300rs since it was a card payment method that was choosen so we get the option of payment once we try to book other cab. So on 30th march 2018 i was trying to book uber and got a pop up of pending amount so i paid that amount and then re tried to book the cab. Was shocking thing was i was not able to book it as even after paying the amount i am still getting that same pop up.
                                        I lodged a complaint in uber 3 times but they are closing the request without imtimating me and that too without resolving any issue. And they are saying me to pay the same amount again.

                                        I believe they are using the same strategy to befool other customers as well.
