While travelling home from kia international airport on jan 31, 2018 10.30 pm, the uber fare did not reflect if it included toll charges. On dropping home, the driver showed me the reflected fare on his uber app wherein toll charges were not reflected separately, i could not locate on my uber app also, if my reflected fare included toll or not. I was clueless. The driver refused to leave and forced me to pay toll charges rs.125/- above the reflected fare of rs.642.39. He did not share the toll receipt with me.
All these while, uber refunded this fare on raising this issue on the uber help.
Now, on raising refund issue request on the uber help, i am being asked to provide toll receipt which the driver did not share with me. I was coerced to part with the toll as did not reflect in the fare. There is flaw in the uber app. On request to help resolve this in future, uber has not responded even after 14 hours. I am not aware of change in policy too. We use uber services on trust and consistency whereas they change their policies time & again without notice to the uber honest users. This results in unfair trade practice and also by not addressing all user concerns they behave arbitrary. Non refund of toll charges even after raising several complaints, an erstwhile practice, also results in unfair trade practice needing uber to be penalised.
Uber India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
