I have booked a ride from uber and my total fare was 936.73 which included a toll fee of 210 rupees but at the end driver collected the total fare plus the toll fare from me. He was keep on arguing for the amount until he took money from me. I have complained this incident to uber but in return i have only received condolences and received an automatic reply that i should not pay any extra amount as the toll was already included in the fare. There is no refund from the company or any action to stop this loot practice from uber. This kind of practice from uber driver needs to be stopped. I hope this is the way uber does business to earn money.

    Hi,

    I left my phone in uber cab ka42a7202, i realized in with 10 mins of getting down from the cab and tried calling my number it was switched off. I'm unble to contact the driver because all the details are in the phone i left. Im unable to contact uber also because they are sending the verification code my phone which is not with me.
    Uber has a terrible customer care where one cant reach them... They have no proper numbers to reach them either.

      My name is ramesh. I was regular user o[censored]ber to book cabs (Chandigarh). I have attached my debit card with uber so i do not face any change issue for receipt. But for some day i saw very strange issue that they were not charging me for rides. I thought they might have started deduction of amount automatically. This continued for i guess for three of four rides. But one day i was traveling late from new delhi to chandigarh. When i reached chandigarh i tried to book cab but i got msg can't connect to uber. Thought might be network error but my be internet was working well. I tried again and again i couldn't book the cab. So i have to suffer a lot that night about 1 am i have to install other cab service app yo reach home. Due to these circumstances i reached home about 2:30am. I checked next day still same issue.. After 3 days i received a mail that your uber account has been reactivated. They didn't gave any prior notification to suspend my account. Even with the issue i was able to book the ride. I could have pay rest all amount after they solved the issue. But deactivating account without prior notification is not proper way. I could have install other cab app before..

        Hi team,
        This is regarding my trip on 26th jan. Fare was showing as 59 rupees at the time of booking the cab. Neither i have not changed the destination nor i asked my driver to change the route. After my trip ended i asked to my driver to show the final receipt he told me that you have selected paytm mode so i cannot tell you regarding your final payment that moment my internat was not working so i was unable to check this on my own phone. My trip took approximately 15 mins to reach my destination. After my trip ended i checked my paytm cash then come to know that r/s 250 is charged on my this trip. There are 3 cases which i come across within 26th and 27th jan.in second trip my fare was showing 69 r/s and i was charged r/s 112. You can check with drivers as well i have not changed my destination and also not asked driver to take the different route. Request you to please check and update me on this. I have complained in über help so may times but i am not getting the relevant results they are repeating same thing and are not ready to understand the problem. This is not about the money this is regarding the trust we have on über.

          On 25th jan around 10:00pm i took a ride to debdoot nursing home showing a price money of 176.00. It was fine till there. After the confirmation the app said that i had a deficit of rs. 47 which i gurantee has never happened. I am a regular customer o[censored]ber and generally all monetory transactions are made in cash. "so if i could pay around 200 to 300 rupees per ride; isn't that a bit foolish attitude of keeping a deficit of rs 47. As the reader can obviously understatnd that i had some emergency issues that's why i am 48hrs late. I would expect you guys will look into the matter.

            I'm facing a serious issue, I've lost my phone in my last uber trip. Trip details are:-

            Driver's Name- Avdhesh

            Trip Starting Time- 7:51 p.m.

            Trip Origin Point- Domestic Terminal 1B Pickup Point, Mumbai Airport

            Trip Destination- Tarapore Towers, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai

            Car Details:-

            Car Model : Wagon R
            Color: White
            Car No. : MH 46 ** 4578 (don't remember the middle part.. And even uber is not showing the car number)

            Details of Lost Mobile Phone:-

            Model- Oppo A83
            Color- Black
            Owner- Harshal Sutaria

            There was no personal number of the driver. Driver made the call through computerised number and so I am not able to contact the driver.
            Please look into the matter as soon as possible, it'd be of great help.

              Amount deducted from uber credit for cash only ride. Hi i have booked a cash ride of 35 on 22nd jan 2018 via uber app mobile no. [protected]. And paid the driver same amount in cash which he asked explicitly. But to my surprise amount had also been deducted from my uber credit despite the fact i had selected mode of payment to cash. Somehow uber automatically charged me same amount of 35 via uber credit also. Why did you charged money from a different mode without my confirmation when i have explicitly selected mode of payment as cash. Also your driver did not told me that you uber have paid him directly from uber credit and not to charge me cash for the same trip again. Now uber refused to refund the money which they deducted without my knowledge or approval from uber credit and is refusing to initiate refund. I have cash receipt of the trip which clearly shows it was a cash ride, this is ubers fault who automatically changed the payment mode from cash to uber credit during the ride and now instead of acknowledging their mistake refusing to refund 35 back to my uber credit. This is not a matter of amount but clear example of bullying and harassing the consumer. How can uber expect the consumer to pay twice for same ride. They should be able to adjust/refund the amount. I have created ticket in uber app but i am not getting any resolution. They are simply saying why you paid cash for cash trip and cash transactions are out side of their system. They are simply ignoring the fact that this was a "cash trip" they should not have charged me via other mode without my knowledge or approval. I am asking for the refund of 35 deducted from my uber credit which uber has refused. Now i am stuck with paying twice the fare. This is highly unprofessional work ethics and anti consumer attitude. This has caused me alot of mental tension and loss of peace of mind. It is a matter of principal they "uber" should be honest and helpful towards their customers and own responsibility.

                On 23rd have travelled from rajiv gandhi nagar to vijayanagar, bangalore and the amount was rs. 247.68

                Later on 26th, noticed through the statement that the amount was deducted twice, once from the card and from the paytm also.

                While paying from the card, error was displayed assuming payment not made and have paid from the paytm.

                Kindly refund at the earliest.

                  The uber driver did a fake trip with me he started and completed the trip by himself... Suspend him so that no-one can suffer like me.. I called him several times but he didn't recieve my calls at all... I need to see his suspend letter or some affordable punishment for fake trips to loot common people who made their needs by hardworks..                     I have booked to pool ride today. From lohegaon to balewadi stadium and return from there. While going i have charged rs.289 and while coming back it took revers route it cost (Rs. 339) me extra money and i lost my time.

                    This is not correct... I request you to take serious step against it and refund my money. Or i'll complain with all details in consumer court.

                      Me and my best friend riding from new arunagar to igi airport and we are getting late so we ask him to drop near by metro station but he didn’t stop and promised to drop there on time, but he failed to do so as it’s impossible as uber shows how long it’ll take, but failed to drop us on time. Later i realize that it’s simply because he want make his trip complete so he get paid and he is piece of # thinking type.
                      Because of that failed drop by uber driver, we missed our flight and have to get bk, rebooked, hotel charge n food got us almost â¥30000 witch made our trip miserable and i truly regret using uber service as they don’t have such good customer care service.
                      I want to get refund but it’s seems impossible but if you’re reading this just help me out.
                      To dear customers,
                      Think before you decide to ride with uber, if something problem popped no one will help, that’s why uber drivers are too violent and bad mannered people!

                        Hi,
                        I have taken uber ride on 23 jan from kondapur to continental hospital with kasula in tata zest at 11: 15 am. I have paid 89.53 rupees fare to driver in cash method. However the amount didn, t get reflected in trip in uber app at that time. While returning back from continental hospital to kondapur with satynaran in tata indica at 1:38 pm the payment option was displaying outstanding balance of 89.53 rupees in his uber app which i paid already in cash to kasula driver. While returning back satynaran didn't agree for that and he asked me to pay outstanding fare rs 89.53 along with current fare 69.53 (Total_ 159.06) and lodge complain.
                        After two days receipt of ride with kasula is reflecting in uber app.
                        But what about extra payment of rs 89.53 taken by satyanarayan

                            I traveled from kempegowda international airport to bommasandra Bangalore at 9 30 pm on 6th January 2018. it took me 2 hrs in the ride and the distance was 69 km. first of all the drivers told me to cancel the ride and pay him on cash, i refused for that because i needed the bill to show in my company coz it was for official purpose, then he asked me toll twice once for rs 125 and other for rs 45. he told me that the toll will be deducted in the bill. i paid him both the tolls but forgot to took receipt of rs 125 and took the other one. although when my ride ended he deducted the 125 rs but not rs 45, also i saw that in the uber receipt apart from my charges toll charges were added additionally. when i tried to call uber customer care i was unable to reach them because they dont have any helpline number, i escalated my case to them through emails but not got any revert, i also asked any escalation team numbers but they refused to give me that and now they have stopped replying to my emails, this is the support they provide to the customers who are travelling in midnight.also when they asked me toll receipt i provided them but they say that the time does not match, if it was a 2 hr journey how do they expect the time to match exactly of 9 30, i reached that toll at 10 30 pm and so do i provided them

                            also previously when sometimes back i booked one ride the distance showing of the driver was less than 1 km from my distance and when i called him he said i am at some other place and then after arriving at that destination he cancelled the ride, due to the drivers misbehavior i was charged a penalty of rs 42 in the next ride.

                            i told these people to refund all my money but they are refusing me

                              I have taken uber ride on 22 jan from hinjewadi to vadgoan sheri. I already paid my payment with using paytm 351 deducted from my paytm account but driver not agree for that and he side he chosen the cash method so he asked me for cash payment and he arguing me for the payment and i need to pay him 350 cash. So i paid double amount for single ride. Please refund my amount. When i checked my history it's shows that paytm payment already deducted. But now i am not able to see history as well. Please refund my amount

                                Hi took uber yesterday on 24th jan 2018 and the driver picked me up and after just driving for 2 kms he asked me drop location, i said gr. Noida. He said i cannot drop and asked me to get down. I said i dont have money in wallet and neither my phone is running as the batter drained. He still dropped me and i had to struggle a lot to reach home. And see there consiouness, they even charged me for that trip.

                                Without money and phone it was horrible experience reaching home. I request to take this matter to consumer court and penalize uber on the same.

                                I need strict actions as this can happen with anyone, we heavily rely on this and this cannot be tolerated.

                                  I had booked a cab from nearby delhi airport to dwarka sector 9 on 20th january. The fare shown to me at the time of booking was 154.69. The place where i was supposed to be picked up from, was well away from the airport arrival terminal and there were alternative routes to reach my pickup point without taking the airport toll charges.
                                  A cab got assigned to me which took the toll route unfortunately.in the meanwhile, the app didn't inform me about any extra charges that might be levied for the trip. So i continued waiting for the cab and boarded it from the pick up point.
                                  At the end of the trip an extra toll charge of rs 157 was shown making the total fare to 312 instead of 154.69 that was shown to me. I didn't argue with the driver as this was a fault of the app and not his. I paid him the full amount and later lodged a complaint with uber asking to refund back the excess amount that was charged for tolls.
                                  They are not ready to listen and are insisting that since the driver came through the toll route, the charges are to be paid. How am i responsible if the driver has to pay something for a trip even before i was being picked up? And even if i were responsible why wasn't i informed about the same before boarding the cab?. This is plain robbery without informing the customer before confirmation.
                                  I have been a fair customer o[censored]ber and have paid surcharges and tolls before wherever applicable. But this time, this is not the case. It's a matter of principle for me. Can someone help me out with this?

                                    Took a trip to office on january 15, 2018. Generally do that. My office is just 3 - 3.5 kms from my place. I am usually charged rs. 72. That's what i was shown that day too. However, because of a traffic jam and construction on the road, i had to take a detour to my office for which uber charged rs. 235. Even after several follow ups, i have been told that the charge was extra because i had taken a detour. Charging rs. 235 for a 3 kma trip is not justified especially when uber itself is not able to give me a proper justification and the basis for such high difference between the upfront fare and the actual amount charged because even after taking the detour, the distance must not have been more than 6kms.

                                    This is not appreciated at all! Would like to get a refund.

                                      Today i had booked the uber pool cab which showed fare at 59 rupees, where the cab driver was not able find the gps navigation properly after reaching myself i found him for a mile distance, after he got another ride on my way and dropping the co-riders the driver dropped me at my office at manyata location after reaching to my place i have checked they overcharged me 235.38 rupees from my paytm account it was detected.. I need explanation how could they over charged for a uber pool cab and that to that much of cost.. I ask the to uber to refund my money to my paytm account

                                        Adding up another incident to you basket and obviously not expecting any solution or action being taken.
                                        Today, i booked an uber pool from office to home, i boarded the cab and after dropping my co-passangers driver asked me for my destination and just after he heard the location, he started making all the excuses and giving me reasons that he cannot go. He never asked me the destination before i boarded the cab. And his major reason of denial was the traffic. So, just 50 mts before, from where the traffic started, he stopped the car and didn't move further.
                                        I thought he must be figuring out some other way, but when i asked him, why isn't he moving further, he became adamant enough to not to move further. He said take the metro and leave. After the argument for 10-15 minutes (In between i tried reaching uber support centre), which to my surprise was not reachable. And i was more annoyed. I warned him that i'll call the cops, and he was cool with it. Finally, when i lost my patience, i had to deboard the cab, taking another route.
