This is about a uber ride that we took
On[protected]
Approximately between 1230 ist and 1400 ist
From suryanagar i phase, anekal road, bangalore
To ttd information center
The vehicle was a white tata indica with the last four digits of the number probably 5831
We do not know the trip id nor the full licence no of the vehicle nor the driver's name.
This is because, the trip was booked for our sake by someone else on their own 'phone since we were unable to access the internet in suryanagar i phase.
When the vehicle reached the tool gate on electronic city road, the driver turned around and demanded that we give him rs. 45/= toll. When asked if he would be deducting that amount from the ultimate fare, he vehemently disagreed and said that paying toll was our headache.
When informed that during the up journey just a few hours before, the driver himself had paid the toll he said something about the driver not being all there or something.
When we told him that we'd have to talk to uber about his demand and behaviour he rudely dared us to call anyone whom we wished.
We tried being gentle with our statements but he wasn't about to have any of that considering his loud voice.
All the while, vehicles behind us were leaning on their horns.
While getting down, we once again asked him if we should deduct the rs45.00 toll that he'd taken from us he showed us his 'phone where the field "toll" showed null and asked us if we knew english. He went on to say "don't give me even a penny, but call whoever you want to and ask them". We had to say that as he had himself asked o[censored]s, we'd be calling someone at uber and asking them about him.
Thus, this mail.
We're senior citizens and it wasn't very pleasant to deal with this person.
The trip from ttd information center to suryanagar i phase started about 1027 ist 14jan2018 however, was remarkably pleasant. That driver - karibasappa, we think - paid the toll himself and didn't ask us a penny.
But this driver, from suryanagar to ttd info center left us feeling that we'd just had a close encounter of a very obnoxious kind.
We hope that you'll be able to extract that toll amount from this person and keep it with yourselves or, better still, give it to the nearest needy person whom you see.
