Hello team,

I am writing to you with regards to one of my rides that i had taken on 29th oct 2017 with the payment method as cash and i paid the driver the amount that was reflected after the trip was done. The next day i had to take another ride and when i tried to book the cab it said i have a pending due of 480 rupees. I never took this ride and i dont know why am i charged for this. It was an emergency and i had to get a cab to reach somewhere hence i made the payment as it was restricting me to make another ride booking. I was helpless as it was an emergency and i could not think of anything else than making payment for ride that i never took just because i had to take book another ride.

I tried reaching out to the customer service and never got a proper reply. Every time i raised a query i got different replies. 480 rupees is not a small amount and i would not mind paying it if i had taken the ride. The customer service is pathetic as i kept raising queries and asking for updates but nobody bothered to acknowledge. I always trusted uber and hence never downloaded any other cab app and is this what i get in return? No proper customer service, no proper acknowledgment, i am seriously tired of sending messages and asking for updates since 4-5 days. Everyday i send a query in hopes of getting a reply. I need a refund for this 480 as i have never taken this ride.

I always asked for a contact information on where i can escalate this issues, but your customer service team is so pathetic that they never bothered to reply or to acknowledge, i have all the screenshots kept if you think what i am saying is a lie.

This is the last resort i have to get a reply and a solution for my problem and the loss i have incurred. Awaiting for a response (Which i hopefully get) or i will directly have to go to consumer court as i am from the legal background and this is serious customer service issue. This is not how an established firm works.

Also, please let me know if there is any way to escalate this issue as i need to report the bad quality of customer services is given as i do not believe this is in your ethics but because of few people's ignorance the entire organisation has to face.

    I asked u guys a question and u are purposely avoiding to answer that.

    The riders are expected to pay the trip by the choosen payment method but why did the driver didn't say this to the passenger who was on the ride?

    Y the hell he got the money for the trip when it showed no amount to pay in the app? And when the amount has already been collected by the trip by the mode of cash u want a customer to complete the payment again by the choosen method? Before bringing a teaching session to a customer y don't u teach the process to the drivers who r working with you? Do u think customers are fool to pay twice for a single ride? If this isn't resolved this time u may go ahead right away closing my account and i'm not going to pay any single money for this # and as a customer i do have lot more options to replace u guys

    I'm yet to recieve an update on this and since this wasn't sorted out, I'm unable to make an order in uber eats.

      On 02 nov 17 me and my wife arrived lucknow airport arrival terminal at about 2040 h. At about 2100h while collecting our baggage i contacted driver junaid at mob no [protected] and asked him where we should come or if he can collect us outside the terminal. He said he is waiting in parking area and we should come soon or request would get cancelled after 5 mins delay. We soon collected our baggage and reached the parking area but there was no response from the driver despite several calls. It incidentally happened that the uber car we were standing next turned out to be junaid. On asking him to take us he refused stating that my request is cancelled and i should book once again!

      When i tried booking another cab through uber app it showed i haven't paid the driver rs 52.46 and did not connect to any other cab despite trying for next half an hour so thereby causing immense inconvenience and harassment. This is ridiculous service!

      I want to know why the driver did not take us when he waited at the parking area for quite sometime after we contacted him. And why was a fine levied when i had not cancelled my request and worst not connecting to any other cab. The penalty charges must be immediately removed.

        Whoever it may concern.
        I'm a doctor resident of Mangalore, India. Had visited Chennai for an exam on 1st Nov.
        Despite searching the app at night innumerable times and getting stranded in the rain, none of your driver's were willing to service us..
        Furthermore I had booked a taxi to the airport 1day prior for today (03/11/2017) and you'll still failed to provide a taxi for me.
        In addition to this you'll failed to provide contact details of the driver prior to the ride and left me helpless till the last minute. I had to book a hotel service instead.
        This is very very dissapointing and we have been greatly inconvenienced by your service.

          Why does the app shows like in 2 mins and 3 mins away when the driver really comes after 20-25 minutes. This is completely #.
          If anyone has a emergency and someone booked uber because it is 2-3 mins away but the driver comes in 20-25 mins then what is the use of immediate service.
          Either the app should show real timings or the driver should really really improves at their acceptance.

            my trip fare was too high

            Date of incident - 25.10.2017
            I booked a cab from ghaziabad (Vijaynagar) railway station to my home and the cab driver took a route longer than necessary. On complaining about the same on the trip itself, he didn't followed the map instructions resulting in higher fare.
            I've been on the same trip quiet often but never faced such issue. You may also compare the distance & charges from the attached screenshot of the same trip...

            , this morning 12.54 pm, while booking uber at trustpuram, kodmabakkam.
            Chennai-24, my mobile shows rs.126.152 for the trip from kodambakkam to hotel savera, on radhakrishnan salai, mylapore, and while reaching the destination the driver selvamaria, maruti swift tn-12k-3471, he demanded rs.394/- and there was a big argument before the hotel crowd and the driver shouted in high voice. Finally to purchase peace i paid rs.300/- instead of
            128/-
            I do not know what action you should take. While the ride begin he should intimated about fare hike (For no reason) instead of fighting at the end.

            I have been using uber since last one year from airport to and fro to my hotel, sofar no problem of this kind.

              Hi,
              I attached my car with uber bangalore. I hired a driver ([protected]@gmail.com, [protected]) to the drive the same. For the period aug 29 to sept 11, a total of rs. 11, 807 deducted from my earnings. When a reached out to the customer support, i got to know that the driver has a debt on him and the same is deducted from my account, but i was not informed for same at the time of driver enrollment. I do not have any kind of prior intimation about the deduction. The driver worked with me only until his debt was cleared and then he attached his own car or started working with someone else.

              As this is completely uber's mistake, why should i pay for their mistake. Please look into the issue and help me getting my money back.

              I have tried every possible way to convince uber but they are not ready to help me. I have attached the email conversation (Every time they replying with the same message) and also the statement screenshot for which money was deducted.

                  I have traveled in uber on 30 october 2017, on middle on my trip cab driver asked for 150 fill fuel, since he don't have cash, i am forced to pay since i am on way to catch train, end on my trip, amount was debited from my bank account, which was selected by mistake. Cab driver said he doesn't have cash to give, i doesn't have much time to argue with him, since i was in hurry to catch train. I contacted uber customer care for refund, but they not to refund it, stating they're policy doesn't allows, i am not sure if there policy allows to get amount from customer before the trip complete

                    I booked a ride from thane to Goregaon which showed 6 mins.
                    Once I booked the cab it displayed 11 mins and the time went on increasing. After 25 mins the cab got allocated to another driver who reached another 10 minutes later and said he doesn’t have to go to Goregaon and was alloted the ride by uber by mistake and denied to take the ride. To add on to this, I was charged cancellation fee and couldn’t even book another ride!! Finally I thought il just book OLA.
                    Even before this I have always always had pathetic service from UBER. Though Ola could perhaps cost a little more but I have never had any complaints whatsoever.
                    Henceforth I have a bad experience again, m not just going to delete the stupid app but also write to social media. Have recently seen way too many uber complaints anyway! The company should shut down already!!!

                      Dear Uber, I have reached Babughat & opted for a Uber drive & picked a trip phoned the driver and called him to pick up. Instead of reaching there he kept me awaited around 20 mins & Uber haven't shown any movement in gps. Getting tired of that he compelled me to cancel the trip as well as harresed me and embarrassed me along with my family.
                      But in spite of scold him U cut my money of cancellation of the trip.
                      How reliable Uber is ??

                        My experience with uber for booking a cab for someone besides me has been downright horrible. Everytime i try and book a cab for somebody else the drivers get snappy, rude and are suddenly unable to find the location and manners. The most recent experience was with paresh who owns a swift dzire mh49f1512.
                        The most infuriating thing being that i am being charged money for the drivers' incompentence. I hope this issue is looked into.

                          I am really surprised that Uber does not have a proper support system. I have been dropping lots of messages but the response I am getting is not clear.
                          1. My first complaint is about cancellation charges. I caught a train to Delhi and the expected time to reach there was around 4:10 AM. So I scheduled for a cab to be arrived on 4:15AM. However the cab driver reached at 3:45 and after 5 minutes he left the place for which I was charged Rs 42. After dropping so many messages via Uber application and the support people responded saying it is a genuine deduction. I think they are not at all bothered about the schedule time.

                          2. I saw the receipts are different for different trips. In some cases I was getting the full details like distance travel, time/duration, tax, base fare charges. However in some cases, the receipt say the full charge nothing else.

                          I believe they should have proper call center to address customer complaints as the represtative does not understand via message what a customer wants.

                            This morning i booked a cab, at 8:10 am.
                            The driver's name is nagarajan. He drives a tata indica. The pick up points was, sa kalyana mandapam, naidu street ramapuram, chennai. He said he was coming to the pick up location, and then he started the trip, without picking mr up and then he canceled the trip. And i was charged for not even taking the ride. And he registered a complaint for not paying the cash for the ride to uber. And now, uber is planning to charge me 105 rs on my next trip. Please make sure to look at this matter as this is a big issue for me.

                              I am standing and waiting at Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport P 7. It's been 45 min already that I'm waiting for him. I also have the option to check the driver's running status from here. I can see that the driver isn't even coming close to the Airport, instead he is roaming around somewhere else only. Please help me out in this situation because by the time he'll get to know the way of Airport, I'll be 2 hours. Please help me out.uUn

                                Dear Uber, I had booked a uber Cab (Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire MH02EH2024 Driver name Jitu Kishore) from my home to Uttan Bhayander . Please teach your driver's basic telephone manners. He just cut the phone during conversation. He was on wrong road and I was trying to explain him my address. The Driver cancelled the booking without informing me. And now my ac is sowing payable balance Rs. 47.25.Refund this payable amt. Becouse of his rude behaviour we were late. YESTERDAY ALSO I HAVE SUMBITTED MY REFUND REQUEST. BUT IT IS STILL PENDING.

                                  I left my iphone in uber car when i was travelling from my place to a restaurant. After an hour i realized that i left my phone in uber cab, i called the driver through uber app and he said that he had 3 trips after that. We asked him for the numbers of the riders but he could not provide the info. We also tried to check if there's any call center o[censored]ber who can help us but uber doesn't have any call centers which can help their clients to find their lost items. So i would like uber to help me sort my issue by providing us the driver's and the 3 rider's numbers to help me track my iphone.

                                    I'm sorry that i'm unable to provide you more information in this regards. Please understand that, as much as you want unpleasant incidents to not be repeated, we want that all the more! We are constantly striving to find ways to mitigate these incidents as much as possible.
                                    As i have informed you earlier, the privacy policy is put in place to safeguard both driver and rider information. I have provided you with as much as i can, within the ambit of our policy and also tried to assure you that action has been taken. Penalties are awarded to the driver partners, but, i'm afraid it's not something i can discuss with you. If you feel that this is not adequate, you can always proceed legally and we will comply with the required information through the appropriate channels.
                                    It's really unfortunate that we haven't been able to instill enough trust; which is something we, honestly, value very much. But there isn't much else i can do to better that at this point of time.
                                    Please let me know if you have any other queries i can assist you with.

                                      This is regarding my yesterday's uber driver from wellington estate-2, dlf phase-5, gurgaon to nirmal dham, sector 24, dwarka, chhawla.

                                      The driver name was manoj kumar.
                                      When we started the driver i was shown the expected amount to be 337 approx but i ended up paying rs 532. The reason being the diversionary tactics by the driver.

                                      Firslt he took a long rout eby choosing to go via huda city center metro, iffco chowk which is under construction instead of going through cyber city via golf course road.

                                      Then as we reached dwarka, i saw the map is showing 6 minutes to destination but he forcibly took a wrong turn and suddenly the map started showing 15-20 minutes.

                                      When i insisted, he started telling many excuses. I asked hi to go back on the route shown by the maps, n then again we came on the track.

                                      Due to this 2 times diversion, my fare scooped to rs 532 and he was not even willing to give me the customer care no.

                                      I[censored]ber continues to hire such drivers with a looting mindset, i am afraid people will never choose this public transport.

                                      I would like a refund of my remaining amount and the discomfort and torture and sense of insecurity he gave to me. I reached very late to my destination.

                                      Please take appropriate action on this.
