I have been using uber since i have moved to gurgaon. Every day i travel to my office and back to home via uber which is around 5.6 km (One way). The availability of cabs is great. But i have a complaint regarding the checks that uber has put on its drivers. Every time i book a ride, i'm shown an estimated amount. But because the drivers take alternative routes, i have to pay the exorbitant differentials. For the same route, i've been charged ranging from 102 to 160 inr.
Surprisingly, there's no accountability on the part of the driver if he is taking longer routes. Instead, the rider is expected to pay the differential. I'd like to request uber to take action on all the rides for which i was charged differential amount and initiate compensation for the same. I have no problem in sharing all the invoices.

Respected Sir/Madam...I, Commandant Tanuj Gautam booked a Uber taxi from Patparganj to Sector 10A and at the time of booking it's showing only Rs 682 but but post dropping, the amount has shown Rs 795 which is unfair ...screen shot is enclosed herewith ... request take necessary action under intimation on my mobile [protected].. regards

    I booked an uber taxi on may 20, 2017 around 6.00 pm to travel from surat railway station to my home in vesu, surat and was expecting a fare of around rs. 180/= (Because only on previous day, i had travelled from home to the railway station in surat and the fare was rs. 183.56). But, on reaching the destination, the fare indicated was rs. 511.07. I paid the fare.

    On lodging the complaint (2-3 times) with the company, they have been giving the unjustified explanation of elevated fare due to traffic blockage condition and fare charging system being dynamic etc. Etc. My response to them, as given below, will clearly indicate that uber does not follow ethical practices and try to justify unjustifiable by repeating the same arguments, again and again, without caring to read the complaint properly.

    Uber team is trying to justify unjustifiable on one or other pretext as can be seen from the following:

    1) the expected fare was not mentioned on the app at the time of booking. Since no fare was indicated, i, naturally, took it as it would be normal fare which is around rs. 180/= (It was rs. 184/= on previous trip on may 19 from my home (Salasar palace, vesu) to surat railway station.

    2) the booking was made around 6.05 pm on may 20. The pickup point was surat railway station and the drop off (Initially as well as finally) point was my home (Salasar palace, vesu, surat). The vehicle reported in about 5 minutes of booking. This indicates that the vehicle was available only in the vicinity.

    3) it took only 27-28 minutes (Covering a distance of about 15 kms within city limits only) in reaching the destination (Home) and there was no unusual or any kind of rush on the road during the journey.

    4) there was no change in the drop off point which remained the same initially as well as finally and at no time it was sought to be changed.

    In view of the above, therefore, there cannot be any justification for the elevated charges and that too almost 2.8 times.

    Therefore, you are requested to see the merit in my complaint and get released the refund of rs.327/= pending since long.

      Today i have booked the cab, and the driver first said he is on the way, but immediately he cancelled the ride. On again searching, the same driver accepted, and on asking reason he mentioned saying unable to understand the route which is not at all acceptable, as any driver follows the navigation but very disappointed to hear such stupid excuse. Later he transferred to other driver which again transferred to the other one. Finally we had to cancel our trip due to delay in time of getting the appropriate cab. Seriously very bad experience with uber. And why do charges increase immediately in the next consecutive search for the same destination which doesn't even seem valid.
      Very unprofession behavior from driver who indirectly refused to pick up. If he really wanted to cancel they y did he wasted time in between.. Atlease we could have used other apps for booking.

      Driver received the call n told that he has not received any booking n KA41B 0391 Was not his vehicle..though maps was showing he was in the same road of our pickup point...n I have been unnecessarily charged rs40 for the same...kindly cancel the unnecessary fine that I have been charged
      Today I booked uber pool from goregoan to dadar East it is such a pathetic pooling that another drop was at kurla lbs road which is no where in near to dadar I had to get down at mid road as I couldn't take pain to drive down till kurla in Mumbai traffic... I have raised requests for reimbursement but no one has revert to me... Disgusting service

        Today i booked uberx, i was allotted ubergo car, before booking waiting time was not shown. After booking waiting time increased to 22 minutes, with this waiting time the whole purpose o[censored]rgency and service time line is defeated. If before booking the expected time were to be shown then i would not confirmed the booking. Because o[censored]ndue delay i cancelled and i have been asked to pay for cancellation stating that it is towards driver time while the concerned driver was still doing his earlier job. This is unreasonable and if your company want to make money this is not ethical.

        Uber service is very bad. I am being charged for cancelling even when the driver does not turn up after waiting for 25mins. They have a very bad app which shows in correct waiting time. Pls refund my money when you can't provide a service as per the time. Stop cheating people. Come up with a better app.

          On saturday 23/09/2017, when i was trying to book a cab with uber, it showed me that i have a cancellation charge from a trip in december last year. For the sake of booking my next cab, i just paid it and then i was able to book the cab. But later on that day when i started booking another cab, to my shock, it again asked for the cancellation trip payment. How can someone be charged twice for the same cancellation? I raised this issue on the app itself and the customer representative replied that the trip is too old to be in the system... Seriously!! You want me to pay twice for a cancellation trip and u dont have the trip info in ur system??? This is height o[censored]nprofessionalism. My number is [protected], and the cancellation charge was paid via order no # 221a06812a6c4c12b70bc4bf87d00a2 via paytm. This kind o[censored]nethical behaviour is not expected. Do the needful

            Sir / madam

            I have received a msg from uber as,

            "dear rider, pay only rs.29 for your next 5 uber rides upto 4kms in coimbatore. No promo required. Valid till 24th september. Tca. T. Uber.com/29cbe".

            I was booked a cab on 22 sept'17, the driver said that the taxi was not started, pls wait for five minutes. I was waited and seeing the taxi in app. It was not moved. So i have cancelled and again booked the cab.

            For that they send cancellation charges of rs. 36.75/- is also be added in the next trip.

            Within a min, i book a cab from indian bank peelamedu to kmch which is 2.5 km only. But the taxi fare for this trip is rs.63.43/-

            Totally (Taxi fare + cancellation chgs = 63.43 + 36.75) i have paid for the above trip is rs.100/-

            1st thing, whether the taxi is not started is my fault??? For putting cancellation charges.

            2nd thing, they have send msg for the trips less-than 4km is rs.29/- but they have charged rs.63.43/-

            Kindly make an arrangement for refund of extra charge

              I was completed my trip yesterday. When i booked the trip then i seen estimated fair 120 which is higher compare to my previous trip (53rs only). But due to emergency i booked the trip. During the trip my driver was talking on mobile in whole route. He charged me 193 rs for the trip. I seen my fair was changed, so i checked my destination's kms of route. There was same kms & time as same as previous trip. I was booked two times same trip day before tomorrow but yesterday i was faced this problem. Why i was overcharged, and if there is lake of car or something different issues then uber application have to told me near by estimate of fair but it was almost double the shown estimated value. I paid 4 time fair for the trip and this was horrible. I need my cash back. I'm trying to contact but there is no customer care number. My mail id is [protected]@yahoo.com

                Today i booked uber cab around 11.48 and i received message stating the cab driven by ranganath is been allocated in the uber pool and within a minute or two he arrived at hudson memorial church and even boarded the cab the driver ranganath asked where is the drop i told him 2nd main 2nd stage domlur, bangalore immediately he started asking us to get down since he got some message and asked us to cancel i asked him to cancel he was insisting me to cancel so i don't want to make an issue because of traffic jam and got down and trying to book another cab but i am receiving a message to pay rs.42/- as cancellation charges so i booked a ola cab i reached my place, and i why the hell i have to pay rs.42/-, i never cancelled it your driver did that, he is so rude to us and asking us to get down. If you don't cancel the amount shown as outstanding i have to seek redress all from the court of law. Immediately withdraw the amount under intimation to me

                  My name is muralikrishnan and i took a uber ride from villivakkam to pallavaram on chennai. The initial charge suggested to me in uber was 411 rupees. On completion of the ride i was charged 577 rupees. When i contacted uber i was told that the drop location was changed and the route i took was changed too. But the drop location was the same and we took the shortest route. I asked details of the extra distance and time that the actual ride incurred more than the initial estimate and uber is not answering those questions. I need a proper explanation from uber on it

                    On 24th sept, 2017 at 4:23am i booked a cab from domestic airport, mumbai to ghatkopar west. The trip was through mastercard and the total was rs 324. However, the driver shabbir asked me to pay rs 100 extra as a toll (Parking charge) at the airport. I told him that all the charges are always included in the total amount including the toll but he insisted that before 6 am it is not included in the total amount and the rider has to pay separately. Inspite of many efforts he did not listen to me and since i was not carrying cash he made me withdraw money from atm. Now me being a single rider and a girl, did not want to quarrel with him on a deserted road. So i paid him. But later on after i saw the receipt, the toll amount was already included in my total of 324 and i ended up paying twice for the toll. When i asked for a refund of rs 100 through the uber app, they first refused to fund as according to them they aren't responsible for the cash payments other than the trip. After having a long argument the person said he would refund the amount as an exception and when i ended the chat i got a message that the money cannot be refunded. Kindly look into the matter and refund my amount and make sure no driver does it in future.

                      I have been following up with uber from last more than 15 days for amount of 128 rupees charged twice and till date i have not received the same. Also there have been issues when we book a cab after 10-15 min the driver cancels the cab stating they are not available, these has happened multiple times when i recently tried booking cab with uber from airport on midnight. I need compensation of 5 lakh against the mental harassement done by uber to me. Request you to kindly consider my request and take necessary action against them.

                        Wow what a worst service. Business people doesn't have a common sense of carrying change. Is arguing with the customer is your great customer service. Worst experience ever. You people will not compromise for 1rs and we need to leave 50-100 just because you don't have change? What a great logic.shame on your service.I want my money back.do it soon.

                          I booked my uber ride, waited for 30 minutes with my granny, when it told me 5 minutes away, my driver couldn't reach my pickup point so he cancelled my trip.And now I am supposed to pay the cancellation fees. What is my mistake, why am I supposed to pay the extra charge. It would be very nice if the company looks into my problem.

                              I'm r. K. Chari booked a taxi bearing number tn16z 4806. Driver's name kumaresan from mount road post office to mac nagar 4th cross street. The actual fare shown on my mobile at the time of booking was 292.43. Where as on completion of my trip the higher charges shown on the driver's mobile as rs. 595/-. I feel that i have been charged excess and i have been cheated for using uber taxi. Please respond immediately thanks and regards

                                I have been requesting uber help through 23 mails to inform me the mobile number of the driver who undertook the journey, in which, i forgot my mobile, in which, all the information was stored. Despite, my giving all the information, they are silent & not responding to my numerous mails, for the reasons best known to uber officials only,... If, this is the attitude / policy o[censored]ber, for such a small issue, one really wonders, what is their support on vital issues involving safety & security of the travellers, especially in ncr region! I request the senior officials o[censored]ber to look into the issue seriously & advise me urgently, whether dishonest drivers' confidiently is more important for uber or the genuine concerns of the travellers.                                 About one hour back, i made a complaint on the lost mobile in the uber cab, in which, i travelled. I was shocked to see the complaint as "resolved", when no action / no reply / no response / no acknowledgement is received by me. What is this mockery of the serious issue on the deficiency in the service o[censored]ber? Pl. Be advised that the complaint is still not resolved. Who mentions this on the system? Not at all understood & not at all acceptable.. Pl. Take it seriously & no eye wash pl. V k bhatia b 55 sector 26 noida 201301

                                  It's[protected], i took ride from secunderabad station to sikh village, the price shown in app was 210 but after applying coupon which uber sent me in mail, it was 160 rupees.
                                  When i arrived my destination, the driver said it's 210, i shown him the price in app also the latest uber receipt which i received immediately.
                                  He refused the app price and also the uber receipt.
                                  He said, it's may be the application fault.
                                  And after an argument of 10 minute's, i handed him 210 rupees and he left.
                                  He took extra 50 from me saying that the uber application is having faulty receipt.
                                  What should i do now.
                                  This was not my first ride uber, i already did dozens of rides in hyderabad.
                                  But this time, with a bad experience of this.
                                  Should be corrected.
                                  And i need my 50 rupees return.

                                      On 15th september 2017, at about 23.50 night, from trivandrum railway station, i called for a uber car to go to vattiyurkavu at my residence. After a few minutes call came and driver asked "where i am"? Since it was raining, i told him that i am waiting at the main portico, after exiting from the main building. He asked me to go out and look at the car. I requested him to come to portico where i am standing; (Since it was at 1.08 am the portico was empty). The curt reply by the driver was shocking - he said in malayalam enikku manassilla"
                                      I was rather shocked and was perplexed for a few minutes and madeother arrangements for my travel.
                                      Today at about 2.40 pm, i sought for uber car, a response came stating that some amount is due from me!!!
                                      This is nothing but arrogance by uber and harrassement.
                                      The following are requested.
                                      1. To take action against the driver who used filthy language.
                                      2. A compensation of rs 5000/- for my mental agony showing some amount is due from me.
                                      Please show cause within 7 days from receipt of this email, why i should not register a case in the consumer court against uber, for the above acts for which uber is responsible. (I have the recorded talk with the driver)

                                        Sir. I have hired ubergo today morning from trivandrum city to mgm school for rs 211.00 and while return the charge showed in my app is 221.99. But the surprise is happened when the driver asked for 321rs. This is the second time it is happening with me. The last time there was 50rs difference. Driver says the reason that the vehicle was in traffic bock. And when i checked the route for both to and fro. The return trip route was much longer than the first trip.
