I took a Uber ride on 17th March from Bangalore Airport to HSR Layout Bangalore. While taking the trip the driver took an alternative route and did not take the BIAL South Toll Convenience fee (Airport to City) route during the ride. The uber route was showing that the driver should take the toll road but, he took the other road purposefully. At the end of the ride, Uber charged me RS 1393.05 out of which Rs 99.75was for the toll. I want that toll amount to be refunded. The total amount of 1393.05 is currently not paid by me and I would pay that after the amount is corrected.

    I had a trip this morning wherein my destination should have been Cinepolis Unity One Mall, Rohini. Instead of this, we ended up at front of someone's house in Rajouri Garden. The driver was a really good person who helped us out to reach the correct destination.

    I had to pay double the amount (the incorrect route + changed route).

    Kindly update to the latest routes. I also want my money for the incorrect route back as this happened because of the high incompetence of the correct Uber routes updaters. They may have hired competent drivers but what about the backend operators who are suppose update the location appropriately? I suggest the Uber team to be competent enough so that they do not take the advantage of such mismanagement and loot the money from their customers.

      I'm writing this mail to share with you my hectic and an unprofessional experience with Uber, due to which I missed my flights and it costed me time, money, additional expense and an important meeting which was irrevocable.

      I had my flight on 13th March 2022, at 5:55 PM for which I took an Uber. The driver's name Madan. He reached my house location precisely on time. We left immediately. However, he was extremely engrossed on a phone call on his cell constantly and kept on doing other miscellaneous work which driving the cab due to which he wasn't driving even at a nominal speed. I very politely requested him for about 5-6 times to please drive faster and to not be on his cell phone since I would thereby get late to catch my flight. He constantly ignored all my requests and said one statement "Apko jaldi nikalna chaiye tha, mujhe phone pe kaam hai". I left at a time which was very convenient for me to catch my flight had it been any other taxi driver but him.
      On probably my 7 request, he parked the car to the side and said in hindi ofcourse, "i won't go do whatever you want" and continued to be on his cellphone. He left the car and was on the call. Meanwhile I was crying to him requesting him to take me since I didn't have any time to waste waiting for an other ride. He refused extremely harshly. Mind you, I am an asthmatic, I cannot explain to you the anxiety I experienced that very second, one, because the meeting I was to attend in Patna was extremely important for my career and two, I spent approximately Rs. 11, 000 to and fro Rs. 4500 (next day return) on my air tickets that are non-refundable.
      I was unable to cancel my ride due to the low internet connection probably at the hault, I requested him crying to atleast cancel my ride so I can book another Uber. He quote on quote said "khud karo karna hai toh, mei nai karunga", knowing that I was helpless and the money would cut from my pocket and not his. I have to mention, how heartless must a person have to be to put someone through this stress for his ego? And as a consumer, how unfair and unprofessional is this to me?
      In that terror and constant pressure, I managed to cancel the ongoing ride and booked me an other Uber, to my disappointment, be canceled my ride even before reaching the destination on knowing on call that I'm headed to the airport. Then I booked an other Uber, which took more than 10 mins to reach my location. Now in all this chaos I've wasted enough time to catch my flight. The 3rd Uber driver took me to the airport as fast as he could, but despite that I missed my flight. And this, only at the sole fault of your Uber driver.
      My irrevocable meeting got canceled for which i suffered, I had to book a new flight for the next day, again two and fro which costed me Rs. 4000. I got no compensation from the airline cause it was no fault of theirs but yours for getting me delayed. I had to book myself myself a hotel for the night next to the airport for my next day flight and with this chaos I had to stress out for 7 hours at the airport trying to figure out a solution on my loss.
      It doesn't end here, ever since I've placed my complaint regarding the Driver on Uber, my Uber fair has tripled. I took an Uber post the chaos at the airport for my hotel, at Aerocity, which showed my approximately Rs. 100 around, on reaching the location it conveniently became Rs. 500 approximately, which I was forced to pay. Again next morning I took an Uber to the airport from Aerocity, it showed me Rs. 118 initially and on reaching the location I was charged Rs. 500 (approximately) for a 10 minute drive? This is extremely unfair as I have incurred unreasonable expense because of your esteemed company which I held at a very high regard, but I'm so disappointed. I'm left with no choice but to uninstall your app.

      I tagged @Uber and @UberIndia on Instagram regarding the same on the very day and received no response. I messaged on these verified id's, the matter that very moment, it's been 2 days and I've received no response at all.

      As an Advocate, I'm hereby attaching all the screenshots and proofs of the same and it's my obligation to let you know that I intend to take this matter extremely seriously. I am expecting all the reimbursements including my flight money (to and fro), my hotel money, my cab expense and the emotional stress caused to me as an additional.

      With this official mail, I am giving you a time of two days for a resolution of the same. If not, I will take this matter to the Consumer Forum at the earliest.

        Dear Sir / Madam,

        I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Cab

        The issue that I have experienced was: I was overcharged Rs 50 on top of shown fare of Rs 178. Customer support saying it was included as tip. However, it was debited from my card automatically without my permission.

        It occurred on: 11/03/2022

        Reimburse Rs 50

          Last Ride- This person charges Rs 220/- saying that if you did not pay the said amount of 220 -, I will cancel the trip. It was a late night. Already so many autos they have accepted the trip and canceled after 10-15 minutes. almost 5 cancellations. What is this? If they are not interested then why are accepting the trip after 10-15 min again canceled. They all waste my precious time. It is an offense. I need clarification from UBER and also return my all paid amount to the account. If fails to reply and do. with all proofs, i need to file a case against you. (payment details and recorded voice call is available to you, pls check). The driver is telling me to pay more otherwise I will cancel the trip.

            I travelled on 14 march 2022 from vidyaranyapur to bangalore airport by uber. on line charges of rs 630 was taken by Uber . on arrival, the uber taxi driver informed that no payment is made and demanded rs 792 including TOOl charges. it was found from the uber App that payment was on HOLD . there was no response from uber. i was FORCEDT PAY CAS RS792. After sometime Rs 630 was deducted from my account.
            when contacted Uber, with lot of correspondence Rs 300 was refunded, stating that THIS IS THE MAX THAT CAN BE REFUNDED.
            MY REPEATED REQUESTS TO REFUND RS 792 PAID TO DRIVER, DUE TO SYSTEM FAILURE, FELL INTO DEFF'S EAR.
            Uber recognised their fault on this aspect BUT REFUNDING ONLY RS 300.

                I booked an uber ride on 13 march 2022 at 11:06am for lucknow from kanpur. The money got debited from my paytm wallet but no ride was booked on app. I lost money, wasted my time and most pathetic thing that I got no customer support no. to talk to someone and kept getting stupid replies about keeping a track of ride which I did not take and not paying in cash which they can not refund, I mentioned clearly to them fraud is done through my paytm wallet. not cash.

                  I’m raising this complaint because of faced issues multiple times. Im staying in Ulwe area, every time i book uber taxi, the driver calls or message and ask the drop location. As soon as I informed the drop location, the driver cancels the ride and auto new driver gets allocated. I remember this happened to me that pick up was canceled continuously 5 times even through in very urgent or emergency situations. My experience is even i explained the urgency or emergency the drivers doesn’t bother and cancel the ride. Today’s incident was that I took my daughter to see Dr and she was having high fever and while coming back from Belapur I booked the ride to ulwe, 1. First ride, driver called and asked the drop location. I informed him that he should cancel the ride as Daughter is not keeping well. Still he cancelled the ride 2. Second ride was allocated to another driver who was one minute away from us who started calling us. We waited for 5 minutes and kept watching him if he really start the navigation but he was simply sleeping in the car and waiting for my answer to know the drop location. Then I walk to him, he asked the drop location and said will not go to drop location. This has been trend of these so called very good service providers like Uber and Ola. If you cancel the ride, they will charge you. They stopped providing driver mobile number and now calling from the number which you cannot call back. There is no quick solution from these companies and one have to use there useless help support. My concern is that in emergency if anything happens Uber and Ola companies must be held responsible.

                    When i booked the ride the fare was 264 …. But after the end of the trip it automatically became 340… its not acceptable at alll

                      Sir i want to go from moshi, pune to bhosari, pune.Whwn I book uber ride it show Rs.135 fare and after reaching to destination they charge fare me Rs.177.When I ask to driver he literally regret telling that I don't know.

                      Sir without intimation how they are charging fare too high.

                        Complaint against Uber overcharging money

                        Uber riders in Guwahati, Assam, India are charging excess fare than the amount notified. We enter into a specific contract with Uber App wherein you disclosed the price and we agreed to it. Then how rider is entitled to ask any extra money beyond the amount which is reflected on the screen.

                        Also there is notion amongst some drivers that “the driver wants to charge more because it is giving an “extra” service, i.e. dropping...

                        I am auto driver and have been driving for uber since 3 years. Nowadays uber started paying less for the trips but latest i completed one trip of about 10 kms for which I was payed only 14 rupees instead of rupees 140 after which I called the customer support and they replied that I would get my money in 24 hours and after some time uber disabled me. I work hard for my earnings and i should be payed for my work but uber the support team puts my account on hold instead of solving my problems.

                          I commutted from Kakkanad to Ernakulam north railway station via uber...rs 215 was deducted from my uber cash...driver told that he didn't receive the amount...so I had to pay via Gpay for an amount of Rs 226 including 11 Rs which was given to me by uber as discount. Uber customer service is unreachable...kindly make necessary arrangements for refund of 226 Rs

                            Today 11/Mar/22, morning UBER driver told that AC is damaged.
                            I informed this to UBER support to review my fare (Screen snap attached) as I am paying for AC charges but I got Non-AC CAB, which indicted UBER is charging for the service which I am not getting.

                            UBER customer care responded they will make a note against driver partner.
                            Then I messaged UBER that, it means UBER is charging consumer for AC even if consumer did not got AC service. Still UBER care responded they will make a note.

                            Now as a consumer, I want UBER to adjust my fare equivalent to non-AC, and also give harassment penalty/Fine of Rs.5, 000/- for wasting my time with UBER CUSTOMER SUPPORT team.

I Booking Auto from IRC VILLAGE to Kesheri Hall Bhubaneswar INR 80 but when Driver Charge INR 120. Show i can't reached but the driver Forcefully Paid 50 rupess by case and don't cancel my trip and go. please Consider My Complaint About UBER Future.

                                This complaint is about the uber driver prakash chandra
                                auto no od33v1544 .

                                I booked this auto in the name of prateek and driver arrived in my complex and i provided him with the otp 6716 which unfortunately not working . I asked the driver that take to my place i will pay you the same amount showing in the app.

                                Driver prakash chandra asked me rs. 50 extra i ok as i was in hurry for my office. But suddenly driver started using abusing language and shouted that he will not go. I have isulted infront of my complex and i[censored]ber will not take the action this driver i move to police and also to social media and news chanels. My phone [protected] if i found you not taken action withing 24 hours against the driver i need to move to police.

                                  I had booked Uber…the driver called to ask drop and pick up point and the amount that is shown on the app…he asked if I have cash or gpay…I told I will pay in cash…then he said sorry and didn’t come….
                                  This is the second time it is happening…I told him to cancel the ride and the fault is from his side…he has not yet cancelled…

                                  A similar event occurred to me last time too…when the driver finally cancelled the ride, I ended up paying extra money…why is this?

                                    Toaday i take a trip from milk colony rajajinagar, bangaluru to 461, avenue road bangaluru with driver Mr. Kanakaraju, due to server error my account was not debited with fare amount, and i paid Rs. 120/- in cash to the driver, even if i paid it in cash my uber account is still showing outstanding Rs. 116.65. kindly resolve my outstanding demand from my uber account.
