When i signed up for the first time itself, uber india disabled my account saying i am aless-than-ethical customer. I do not understand how. I have not tried to use any of their free rides nor have i sent free ride codes to anyone.

Since they suspect my honesty, i have no reason to believe in uber's honesty. Therefore, i asked them to delete my account. However, i only got a form response as follows:

"hi,

I am afraid i do not have further info as this is a system generated flag with no manual intervention in the process. Our system is the same across the 300+ cities that we operate in. It flags suspicious accounts and disables the application of promotions on these accounts and in some cases even cuts off access to these accounts.
You will appreciate that these security features need to be built in to prevent misuse of our services and to prevent users from creating accounts for the sole purpose of taking free rides. You might not have had that intention, however, the system cannot differentiate between the two situations and frankly, there really is no way for anyone else to distinguish the two either.
I am afraid i really cannot be of any more help with this than i already have."

I am worried that uber may sell my information (Email and mobile number) to other telemarkeeters. I would like to have them delete my account.

I need your help!

    Dear uber,
    Absolutely pathetic that i am charged more than 6 times on my uber ride. Yesterday, i took an uberpool, please read it carefully an uberpool which showed an amount of rs.62 from the pickup location to the destination. Voila! What do i see when i get down that i am being charged rs.375/- i. E. More than 6 times the fare that was quoted and that too on an uberpool? Ridiculous.

    Just answer a simple question, should after all this i should still continue with uber. This is the third time uber has been charging such exorbitant price. I used to be a loyal customer with uber (You can check the history for the past one year) but the services and prices has been pathetic over the past two months. Ola way way better, at least they dont cheat people.

      I used to ride Uber India because it is slightly cheaper …it was only recently that I realised that UBER doesn't have a customer service number in india so u have to either resolve any matter with the driver who is usually unhelpful or will have to go to the police to resolve the matter…I also recently got into one such incident where I had taken a ride from Mukherjee nagar to Sarojini nagar in Delhi.the amount was 258.87 for which we paid the driver in cash..we then booked another taxi back home and was charged 296.10(trip amount) plus 258.87(outstanding amount of the previous trip for which we had paid earlier to the other driver)all our efforts to contact UBER customer service to resolve the matter failed and the driver started threatening us to pay up the entire amount..we could only resolve the matter at the police station and we have not received any call from uber yet..so I'd choose ola though it is slightly more expensive since it's customer service is prompt and helpful unlike uber India

      I hired a user taxi on 6/11 at 7 pm from my residence in banashankari to city railway station distance in the route that we went 10kms but was. charged for 18kms plus surge fare IP.

        Hi team,

        Today I took 2 rides from prem nagar to think and vice versa, set my payment options as debit card .In first ride I'll able to pay 182.13 but still didn't get any mesg from my bank and in second ride I didn't even get any option to pay for the ride, ...why so???

        I'm mailing you guys so that I don't have to pay some extra charges or fine with my future rides.

        I booked an Uber cab ( Tata Indigo ) on this specified date. The cab driver was almost 10 km away from my pick up location and HE ASKED ME TO CANCEL IT. But I wasn't aware of the cancellation fee and I had been charged extra 100 for my next ride. Please look into this issue. Thank you.

          A driver with a license where LMV_CAB /TRANS was not mentioned, I was not allowed to attach the driver for my vehicle and was asked to rectify the license.
          But he was allowed to attach to drive another vehicle the owner of which is a UBER employee in guwahati.
          If the driver can be allowed to drive that vehicle, then why I was denied?
          I informed the office and they told me that the said account was blocked but it was only for showing me.
          In the evening I noticed the car was driven by the same driver.
          The registration no of the car which he is driving is AS25 BC 7721.

            Sir / Madam,
            I would like to raise a complaint against the driver of cab no. KA 03 AB 9048. The driver on account of so called " urgent" banged my car from behind and broke the bumper. Instead of apologizing he abuses not only to me but also my sister who was with me. I do not understand how you people allow such people to ply on the road who drive so dangerously on the road, any day a pedestrian could become a victim to this driver's driving. I request this driver to be removed from driving any car in the future.

              I have an issue with my latest Uber ride. I was availing a promotion from Uber according to which 20% of fare would be discounted 5 times until 13th Nov. I was given the discount for 3 times but in the 4th ride i was not given the promotional discount. Can you please check what is wrong.

              My Trips taken are as below. Discount only given 3 times. :-

              1) Yesterday at 1 PM : Rs 170.06 ----- NO Discount
              2) Thursday at 12:42 PM : Rs 169.52 ------ Discount Given
              3) Wednesday at 1.03 PM : Rs 162.[protected] Discount Given
              4) Tuesday at 1:22 PM : Rs 151.[protected] Discount Given
              5) Monday at 5:55 PM : Rs 0.0 ----- Trip Cancelled

              Please check and revert.

                I would like to put the following grievance for your immediate action:

                I used Uber service for my trip on the evening of Wednesday, 9th November 2016 at 17.21, the charge for which was INR 453.48. After reaching my destination I authorized the payment for the trip using my Citibank credit card, ending in digits 4241. I received a text message from Citibank at 20.07 stating that the transaction was successful and my card was debited with the said amount. However, I did not receive a receipt of this payment on my e mail.

                On 10th November evening, when I tried to make a booking through my app, I was shown that there is an outstanding balance of 453.48. When I tried to authorize the said payment again, I have not been able to do the same. I tried the same with two other credit cards as well with no success. Every time I am told that there is a problem processing the said charge. The same has been happening till date. I have not been able to book a cab when I needed it the most.

                As you are aware, there is a problem with the use of cash due to the restriction of 500 and 1000 rupee notes by RBI. At such a time, when we need to avail cashless services the most, Uber has failed in upholding the same.

                Basically, it is a payment that I have already made. My bank has confirmed again yesterday, when I called them, that the transaction has been successful from their end and the amount has been sent to the Uber account.

                I am a regular Uber user since the last several months and it is frustrating to know that such an issue can occur. I tried to raise my issue through the app at least three times since last evening, but I was not able to speak to any customer care person to put forth my grievance, neither was my issue addressed successfully. In fact, your app does not have this kind of a grievance stated at all!!!

                I request you to address my issue urgently so as to enable me to use the Uber services effectively. Also clarify that there are no outstanding payments against my account.

                Hoping for a positive and speedy action from your end.

                  On 8thnov, i have booked share cab for my parents from ramnager gundu to miyapur. Share price was rs.255 and travel time was 81mins. All of a sudden cab driver janardhan who owns swift dzire dropped my parents at secunderabad railway station and took the cash amount of rs.95 and at the same time i was charged rs.32 on my paytm. When my parents asked why did he dropped there.. He just replied bluntly that i booked the cab till secunderabad. He drove only 3 kms from my home and that too in a share and charged double (Paytm & cash) and also complete waste of time. We have to book another cab and return home safely. I never know that uber drivers are so pathetic dropping midway and collecting money from people like my parents as they arent aware of the cab booking process. Not sure uber has cheated how many else elder people and grabbed the money free of cost. I requested for full refund which 95+32 = 127 as we booked another cab from station and paid rs.188 and wasted complete 1 hr for whole process.

                  I have sent twice the complaint to uber support but no response yet..

                  Neither they are checking on the issue nor they are working towards it..

                  I request consumer complaints kindly help me with this issue so that they wont repeat or be careful with their drivers and also get my monye back which has been stolen my their driver,

                    15th oct 2016 at 5.57 pm trip from greater noida to new delhi railway station. Rs 622.17 was paid by me in cash to the driver, since funds in my paytm wallet were low. I asked the driver whether to make the payment in cash, to which he replied in the affirmative.
                    Subsequently this was also deducted from my paytm wallet on my next recharge despite informing uber in advance by email.

                    I had written to Uber regarding this double charge before posting the complaint here, but they have repeatedly refused to refund any amount. Though they acknowledge the payment has been made twice, but do not want to refund it.
                    Please help me my number is not sing in or not register please check my number please help my Uber app

                      I booked a UberPool from KPHB to Us consulate in Hyderabad. Ride share was Rs. 30.Fare estimate came out to be INR 106.41.but final because of promo code amount reduced to 30rs.at that iam not carrying my mobile phone, he observed that, taking it as advantage, Charged extra money by showing other costumer bills, I am in hurry for attend the interview.when i back to home after seeing the invoice from Uber I understood that cab driver cheated me, there is no relative response from the Uber center.
                      On complaining Uber, they said that fair calculation is fine and refunded just INR 75 as Uber credits.
                      Attached screenshot clearly shows ride estimate to be around INR 30 via UberGo from original pickup location to final drop location for which I had to pay INR 150 along with inconvenience of standing on road and wait for UberGo.

                        Today i had booked cap pickup at 2:21am from my number [protected] from Taltej to sardar vallabhbhai patel airport- Ahmedabad and i have received one Driver name Mr. Jatin his mobile no [protected] Tata Indica, I called for pickup he said will reach you in 5 min after that he didn't pick my call, so i cancelled and booked another vehicle and vent to airport in time.

                        So my request is why you people charged Rs.40/- for that even though it is not my fault. Why i should pay.

                          I have booked a trip at 9:57 am on 1st November, tuesday from Maratha Colony, Dahisar East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400068, India to
                          Datar Colony, Kanjurmarg East, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
                          My driver after contacting him said that he is in dahisar west and was not ready to come to dahisar east. so he told me to cancel the trip.
                          I have given the same reason for cancellation also.
                          Now in todays trip from krishnavatika, dahisar east to bhaktivedant swami marg, cooper hospital the actual fare was 264 with promocode 75 rs. discount i.e.190 but rs. 60 are charged extra for the earlier cancelled trip.

                          it was not my fault as driver has denied and forced me to cancel the trip. He was not ready to come also and was not picking up the phone.
                          please look into this matter.

                            After waiting for my cab for 10 mins (the ETA was 2-3 mins), my driver started the trip. Also, even after I called the driver and asked him to end it, he didn't bother to do that. I had to raise an emergency to get it cancelled so that I could book another cab. Would require immediate action on the driver with an update on the same failing which within the next 24 hours, I'll lodge a complaint in the consumer court.

                              I want to raise a complaint to your service that yesterday I used uber cab and I found in my bill detail that Distance surcharge was Rs. 13.24. Why this is added provided I haven't used any toll and other extra paid services.I booked the cab on normal charge then why your system added distance surcharge. This kind o[censored]nethical charges will spoil your image among customers. I am regular user o[censored]ber but this kind o[censored]nnecessary charges are not acceptable without taking permission to customer.

                              Its very unlawful activity from your side.
                              For detailed charges, find the trailing email and revert my extra money which is not to be charged.

                                I booked an uber to gulmohar park to go to central park 1, golf course road gurgaon. The fare on my phone was 153.99 but when my assistant who went in the car reached destination the driver demanded much more and showed his phone.
                                This is not the first time that the drivers are overcharging and i want to know why it is happening.

                                  Hi, i travelled from dlf cyber city to dwarka on 19th oct 2016 via uber share, at the time of booking, i was shown the total amount that was due on me was 211.07 however when i de-boarded the cab. the driver asked me for an amount of 411.07. i asked him the reason for overcharging, and the reply that i received was that "ma'am you can check with the support team for this, i am just charging what is appearing in the total bill". though i gave him the total amount later i checked the history in which i found that on 5th october 2016 i cancelled 2 of my rides since the application was not working and i did not receive any cab details as well. i was charged rs 100 each for those 2 rides.

                                  This is an unfair practice, no one cancels his/her ride for fun, i was not able to get the cab details (due to application bug) because of which i cancelled my ride.

                                  Kindly look into the matter and help in getting the refund from the company

                                    I took the ride from Indiranagar KFC signal to Cessna Business Park, Outer ring Road, Marathahalli in Bangalore on November 7th 2016 .The distance comes to around 14 kms. While booking the trip, it estimated a fare of approximately ₹ 245 . But, they charged ₹799.96 that included distance surcharge and Surge x2.0 pricing. This is highly annoying. At the time of booking I was not even notified about any surge. The kilometers covered as per the receipt is 35 kms which is not correct.

                                      Dear Uber Team,

                                      In my todays trip the charge was up by almost Rs.90. I have travelled on this route earlier as well and the charges have been within the band of Rs.175 - Rs.200. Todays billing is obnoxiously high and is beyond any relevance with the amount billed by Uber on same route earlier.

                                      I would like that Uber checks the details. How can fare vary so much on same route without price surge.

                                      And if there are excess charges, the price surge did not reflect on my app while booking the trip.

                                        I had a really traumatic experience in an uber cab on the 1st of november 2016. i booked an uber through my friends phone at around 13:23 hours as my internet wasn't working.

                                        Firstly, while booking the cab no surge was showing but actually at the end of the trip i was charged at 1.6x surge.
                                        Secondly, as soon as i and my mom got into the cab (around 13:50 hours) he started taking a u-turn whereas we said we had to take the straight path. but he insisted on taking a route we did not want to take. he took a u-turn and only stopped at the end of the lane and was constantly arguing with us insisting on taking the other route.

                                        Thirdly, he ended the ride midway and dropped us at a lonely place before we reached our destination. we asked him to drop us at the destination but he refused to move even an inch from there. we had to walk down till the destination and my mom is diabetic and also suffers from hypertension. moreover, he said all kind of rubbish to us.

                                        Such people should not be allowed to ply under uber. when we said that we are going to complain about him, his reply was 'go complain about me! do whatever you want! i dont care!'

                                        The story just doesn't end here, on reporting about the issue to uber and asking them to send me a copy of the driver's termination letter, uber's reply was ' we cannot reveal the action taken against the driver!'

                                        Such reply from an organization like uber is really disappointing and clearly depicts the kind of irresponsibility they show towards their customers. for uber, it is more important to keep the action unrevealed because probably there is hardly going to be any action taken against him and he would continue driving and harassing many more female passengers.

                                        I request everyone to be prepared for any such behaviour with them in a uber cab and also to be charged much more than what the charge should be without letting us know about it beforehand.

                                        Dear all, when you book an uber just beware that your safety is just not their responsibility and uber is more concerned about maintaining the ' anonymity' of its partners whatever come may. even if the driver harasses two female passengers, uber is not going to look into the matter and not going to act against him by terminating him. so, it's on us if we want to promote such response from uber and continue using such irresponsible service providers.
                                        Uber India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
