Well. Uber has made a name for all the wrong reasons . However, considering them as just one odd case i kept travelling from Uber . But tonight, i had the worst nightmare .thanks to the inhuman cab driver . We booked the cab and later dropped one of my friend mid way and asked driver to keep travelling without stopping the meter. Saying that there can be only one drop point, drover asked us to get down midway at 1 am almost 2 km from my actual destination . Question remains that since we are paying till the last drop point, and also paying for the waiting time how can he refuse to do so and drop us midway at that time . I may not travel neither recommend Uber for future now . Thanks for the nightmare. I have attached the Number of cab.

    full desc: Significant number of times the uber app shows the distance travelled a lot more than the actual distance. I use uber for daily commute and hence the distance is very much the same. While my return journey is roughly 10 kms it consistenly shows 12-13 kms as the distance travelled and the charges increase accordingly. Few times it shows 15 kms (a 50% error).
    Inspite of repeated complaints to uber no action has been taken.

    Desirable action: Uber should increase the quality of distance calculation and refund the wrong amount deducted to me.

      I booked a cab fr my parents on 2nd June 2016 to ride to Jaipur railway station. I informed them that we have a 25% discount, but they are not very used to o[censored]sing cabs. After the ride completed, and it was a cash payment, the driver charged them a total of 116 rs and did not return the balance when the charges showed to me on my app after deduction should have been Rs.83 and some paisa. So, I was overcharged, cheated. I only came to know about this from my parents when they came back from their trip, that too by-chance. If your drivers keep cheating customers who do not have idea, we definitely loose trust. Very annoyed with the incident.

        I booked a Uber cab on June 02, 2016 around 7:00 PM from Hebbal to Silkboard ( Bangalore ) and a got through to one of the cabs Maruti Swift Desire with driver name Arun. After confirming by the driver I called up the driver asking for the location he currently is. He asked me to walk for half a km to board the cab. I agreed and walked but he wasn't there. I tried calling again so many time but the driver had switched off his cell. I tried calling him many times but in vain. I wasted almost half an hour. Finally I gave up and went by bus. I missed an important meeting at office.
        To my shock, I see that i received an email confirmation from Uber that I have boarded a cab and traveled for nearly a KM. How is it possible when I have not even boarded the cab, and more over I had to travel 25 KM not 1KM. This is really very bad customer service. is this the way you treat your customers. I lost my first time free ride. Please look into this and provide me a proper compensation from Uber. I have attached the email confirmation i received from Uber. I am sure driver switched off his cell by himself.

          Booking a cab sole purpose is to avoid reaching late and trusting the driver. For me it did not serve both the purpose. I had booked a cab at 8.10 in the morning. The cab arrived 15 mind late. I had missed an important interview because of this cab. Being a cab driver he did not know the routes and took us from a longer route. It took 2.3 hrs Were by bus it would take just 1.3 hrs. After reaching the destination the amount came up to 380 bucks and he doest have a change of 120 rs for 500rs. More over advising us to have change. It is better you guys hire a person who knows in and around.

            Sir,
            On saturday 4 th june i book car from vallabh nagar pimpari pune india at 8 :14 am. But without my knowledge it get canceled. & 90 rs charged. At same day i booked car from pimpari midc to vallabh nagar. Fare is 74.56 rs. But driver shows me bill of 250 rs. Name of driver is mr. Vikas. This is total fraud that happen with me. Pl. Give me my extra amount & take necessary action on mr. Vikas

                Dear sir,

                I book a cab at 12:07 pm as per your bill toll charges calculated after 12 am to 12 pm. And toll charges was also 2 time calculated but in my trip there is no toll taxes paid by driver so why toll charges calculated in my bill. Kindly refund my amount in my pay tm wallet.                 Hi vikash.

                I understand how you feel about this charge.

                However, as mentioned earlier, the toll applied on your trip is valid and in this case, i won't be able to refund the amount to you. Rest assured, all tolls that apply to your fare are added by the system itself and the scope of error is almost negligible. That being said, i've manually verified the application of this toll and have confirmed its validity. We do not have any further information to share with you in this regard.

                  Hi,

                  This is pavan kumar from bangalore.

                  While booking cab in app, price mentioned as 83 rupees, but while getting down from the cab uber deducted 180 rupees from my paytm account.

                  I raise this issue with customer care through email, but did not get proper justification from the team and there is no uber customer care number to contact as well.

                    This is to share my horrifying experience with UBER yesterday.

                    I lodged a complaint though apps system as quick as possible but even after 24 hrs there had been no feedback from UBER side.

                    I booked a cab for journey from my home to my parents place. As I reached nearer, understood that my 80+ yrs old father needs to visit doctor's place, so I decided to drop him up to the doctor's place.

                    Listening my decision change, the driver became very much arrogant and denied to go further. On my polite explanation, he even told me that they earn on trips, so he would not care of my decision whatever urgent or important it be and insisted that I must get-off, settle his dues and look for other options.

                    Such arrogant / unethical / rude behaviours were not acceptable to me. So I insisted that we contact Customer Care, inform then, understand the system, and take a decision accordingly.

                    However, by that time driver Raj became more arrogant, told me that there is no Customer Care Contact, (may be) cancelled the trip and zoomed off threatening that he will see to it.

                    This is not the end. After 5 min. and again at evening the driver called, used abusive languages and life-threatening consequences.

                    UBER did not give any feedback against my complaint and I do not know how to solve the impasse.

                        Hi,

                        Today for the first time I took Uberpool, everything was fine until my driver asked me to pay.
                        -Today on 1st June 2016, at 3:11pm I booked the Uberpool for the first time.
                        -It came at my office (Pritech Park SEZ, Building 6B, Bellandur Village, Vathur Hobli, , Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka 56010) at 3:21pm with another lady.
                        She got down first and the driver dropped me later at my destination, he told me to pay Rs. 92.
                        -I had taken UberGo several times before and for the same distant with the same traffic have paid Rs. 80.
                        - Before selecting the Uberpool I checked for the estimated fare it showed Rs.42
                        - Even my the app receipt in my phone showed me Rs. 42 as my fare.
                        -I did not know how to reach you guys, the driver gave me the customer care number for drivers.
                        -At 3:43pm I dialed [protected], I lady spoke to be with a accent with a"I DON"T CARE' attitude and asked me to drop a mail to some mail ID.
                        - I again showed the driver my phone and showed him that my phone shows Rs 42, and I will pay so. And driver showed his, poor guy he did not have much to do about it, because his phone showed Rs. 91.something.
                        - After requesting him to dial to his customer support, he spoke to Rajveer/Tejveer Singh and handled over his phone to me.
                        -When I explained him everything, he told me that I was charged for my previous due/cancellation charges.
                        -I requested him and told him that I did not make any cancellation and the driver refused to come pick me and my family on 20th May 2016, some 10 days ago at 8:30pm from central railway station, Chennai, Tamilnadu.
                        -There were several cabs that me and my husband booked through Uber
                        and none of the drivers were ready to pick us up.
                        -Please check the uber database for bookings made from my and my husband's phone number( with the above details you will get my phone number) and my husband number is same as mine except for the second last digit.

                        -Finally we had to take an auto after 6 hours journey from Bangalore to Chennai inter city double decker train, as all the attempts to get a cabby to drop us at Pallikarnai(Chennai), tamil nadu failed because none of the drivers were willing to drop us.
                        -One of the drivers who denied us the service also charged a cancellation fees, PATHETIC
                        -Me and my husband were pissed off because of the uber service in chennai, however we were on vacation and did not have enough time to raise it to UBER then.

                        -MY CONCERNS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
                        -Why does uber not have a customer care toll free number for its riders?
                        -The Customer care executives for drivers and extremely rude, with no etiquette and manners to talk to a customer in Vein.
                        -After a ride is booked on uber, does uber make sure if the driver is willing to drive the rider to the riders destination?, If Yes, why does a driver ask/request/deny to the rider for the ride?
                        -Why was I charged Rs.50 as a cancellation which was the drivers intent and NOT mine.

                        I have not dropped this mail for a mere Rs.50, however its my anger towards UBER, I have not only spent extra MONEY on UBER's un-professionalism but also a lot of time trying to sort out things between the drivers.

                        This behavior is unexceptable!!

                        I need a call back and an explanation on the whole episode, I believe I deserve it!

                          On 30th May I hired a Uber maruti swift dezire taxi from Boatclub road to Vaikunta Smashan bhoomi near Alka talkies Pune.
                          The driver Krishna showed me the charges on his mobile and it showed 188. As I hired the taxi for the first time, I asked him how the rate is calculated. He said its Rs.6 a km. I made the payment but a second thought stated that it cant be 31 kms.
                          Today on my mob it showed drivers photo and tarrif as 128.63. I phoned the driver Krishna no [protected] and he said that I should lodge a complaint and will get refund.
                          Please look into the matter and do the needful.

                                I(Tarun Jindal), booked a cab on 30th May 2016 at 03:45 PM.
                                I called the driver to reach the pick up location but he refused to reach the pick up location and told me to cancel the trip as he said he will not be able to reach the desired location.
                                After the request of driver to cancel the trip, i cancelled the trip and Uber has charged me INR 100 for the same.
                                It was the mistake of the driver o[censored]BER and hence should be bear by him or his company, not by me.
                                So I request you to credit the same amount into my account as soon as possible .
                                This situation I have faced second time and i am very disappointed with the service o[censored]BER and their policy of extra surcharge.

                                  On friday, 27-may-2016, i booked a cab from the uber app. It was from applewoods township to ahmedabad airport in ahmedabad. The cab was booked and the driver details were sent on sms. The driver called and confirmed the trip details and told me that the will be there at the pick-up point in 5 minutes. 1 minute later, he called back and asked me why i cancelled the trip. I informed him that i did not cancel the trip and asked him to check with uber. I am sure that the driver cancelled the trip on his own and blamed it on me.

                                    On 22nd sunday 2016, i tried adding money in uber in airtel money account.
                                    But actually i had a vodafone number but still i tried adding money in that wallet and to my surprise, money was also added in that wallet and an airtel money account was also created in my uber account with my vodafone number only.
                                    But whenever i am trying to use that wallet money, it's always telling that i have insufficient balance although i had high balance in it.
                                    i wrote to the customer care but they didn't answer my query

                                      Hi,

                                      Yesterday, i booked uber to heartcup coffee (In kondapur) from hill ridge springs (Gachibowli). The surge was 2.5x. However, the driver didn't end the trip at heartcup coffee and instead ended at ameerpet. Because of this, i ended up paying rs 611 for the trip which is much more than what i should have paid.
                                      When i called the driver, he said it was due to network issue and he couldn't end the trip on time and said he will recharge and pay back the money. But even if that was the case he could have called me and told me that but he told that when i called him i. E. During my return trip when i realized this.
                                      This is quite unprofessional and if i wouldn't have realized this and saw my receipt i would have never known that this happened. Also, this incident will make me suspicious of all uber drivers in my future rides.
                                      I have attached below images of my onward (Surge 2.5x) and return journey (1.4x). You can see the amount difference rs 611 vs rs 142 for the onward and return ride for same location.

                                        This happened with me when i was travelling to bbdit ghaziabad from iskcon east of kailash newdelhi-65 on 8th may. I booked a cab. The cab was a wagonr of white colour. The drivers name was sanjay. After a point in gahziabad he told me that he could go no further as his companys cars do not go further. I was in a hurry as i had an exam to attend. He then parked the car aside and said that the charge was "rs.361". As my internet was not working so i just gave him the money and rushed towards a rickshaw. Later when i got the receipt, the bill was actually rs.36.13. I paid the driver in cash. Same day i mailed the company about this but there is no response till date. My uber customer details are as below
