I booked Uber on 27th Sep 2021 at 5 pm from Sector 44A, Chandigarh to Sector 20 A, Chandigarh.
It took as intercity and charged Rs 1200 (Invoice attached) for just 4kms.
I am trying to register a complaint through the app, but I have got no response.

Please escalate my complaint as it has caused much harassment to the elderly person who was travelling.

    Sub.: My two payments kept on hold by uber (on it’s receipt they also write their company name as : ubergo) total amount: Rs. 278.85 + Rs. 257.41= Rs.536.26 (Rupees five hundred thirty six and paisa twenty six only)

    Dear sir/madam,
    I shall sincerely appreciate if you could please help me in getting the full refund back into my savings account or paytm account (details mentioned below), my money has been kept on hold by uber – for no reasons.
    1. While travelling with uber cabs i tried to make the direct payments with (linked paytm to uber) but as there were some technical errors - and there was no confirmation/response from paytm whether the payments were made or not; so i thought the payments were not made.
    2. So i made the direct payments to their drivers, while simultaneously these payments were deducted from my paytm wallet also – without my knowledge. Means i made the payments twice for no fault of mine. Please help in getting the reimbursement of these two payments back to me.
    Total amount: rs. 278.85 + rs. 257.41=rs.536.26 (rupees five hundred thirty six and paisa twenty six only) for your kind perusal attaching herewith the screen shot of the same.
    Details of journey:
    Date of journey: 17th sept.21
    From d block, sector 55, noida (u.p.) To hotel le meridian, connaught place, new delhi. And back the same day.
    1.total amount to be paid as mentioned in their receipt: rs. 295.63 (which could not be paid via uber account linked with paytm)
    I paid amount rs.: 295.00 instantly and directly to driver mr. Ram (ram gave me his paytm account no. By the name of karan kumar singh; so i paid thru paytm directly to him – poof of payment attached herewith my saving’s bank details and also proof of paytm account showing this deduction
    1. Amount rs.: 295.00
    2. Date of transaction: 17.9.21 time of transaction: 03.54 pm paid to:
    3. Driver: ram but under the name of karan kumar singh
    4. Amount credited into his airtel payments bank a/c no.: xx2815 linked to [protected]@paytm
    5. From my bank: icici a/c : no.: xx7714 upi ref.id.:[protected]
    2. Date of journey: 17th sept. 21
    From hotel le meridian, connaught place, new delhi to d block, sector 55, noida u.p.
    Total amount to be paid as mentioned in their receipt was: rs. 278.85 (which could not be paid via uber account linked with paytm)
    So, i paid amount rs.: 250 instantly but thru my direct paytm (i should have paid him rs.278.85 by paytm but it was a typing error from my side, so i paid him remaining balance of rs. 30 by cash) directly to the driver anil yadav (rs. 250+30=rs.280 i.e. Paid him extra rs.1.15).
    Date of transaction: 17.9.21 time of transaction: 10.52 pm
    Paid to: driver of cab : anil yadav
    State bank of india a/c. No.: xx8147 linked to [protected]@paytm
    From my a/c : no.: xx7714 UPI Ref id.:[protected]

    Now here these two drivers have been paid twice, one from my side and the other thru uber linked with my paytm account.
    The app o[censored]ber in my mobile phone shows these two transactions are kept on hold i.e. The amount of rs. 257.41 and rs. 278.85 but as this app is not at all user friendly it does not share any direct customer care contact phone numbers neither do they share any email by virtue of which any customer can contact them. With what so ever little space given to write and abrupt titles of help i have tried to contact them but all in vain. There is no response from them.

    I had also contacted paytm where i was told that the payment of rs.295.63 and rs. 278.85 can be refunded back to me by uber, both of them bear utr no.: citin[protected] date: 18.9.21 time: 0133 a.m. And 54 seconds.
    I will be more than glad to answer any of your further queries.
    May i request you to kindly share your contact details for prompt communications.
    Please help me in getting the refund these two amounts into my bank account and oblige.

      yesterday i booked cab with cash payment mode selected to go to an address in kuvempu nagar, fare of Rs 101 was shown in the app but OTP was not shown, Maruthi Suzuki Swift dezire came, and the cab driver didnt get my destination address, so driver cancelled the trip, i was helpless in a hurry to reach my destination.i was helpless repeatedly tried to book another uber cab but could not becoz app was asking to pay fine first by other than cash modes, i dont user other than cash modes
      so i left it and booked Ola and to go ahead.
      Now uber why fined me, Rs20/- for no fault of mine.
      I need explanation and
      please cancel the fine.

        2 o[censored]s are facing the issue of payment failure, which stops us booking further. We tried cards as well as Paytm options. None of them work. Please resolve this issue asap.

            I took a ride from poddar nagar to peerless hospital on 22nd sep 2021. In between there was a little water logging on the road due to rain. The driver stopped the car and said he will not go, whereas all other cars were going without any issue and we both saw that. Upon telling this he misbehaved and rudely ask me to get down the car. I was in hurry so got down after arguing with him. My whole trip amount went to him since it was with paytm and he didnt even bother to return me the balance amount which he was not covering. He was immensely arguing asking me to call uber and take help. His name is Abhijit Moulick and he drives in Kolkata city. I would request to cancel his license from uber immediately and not allow him to associate anymore.

              I book the cab using Uber app on 17 September around 7 pm from Noida Sector 18.

              When the driver arrived he was already on phone talking without using earphones.

              After the trip started after 6 minutes when he was done with his talk he started little loud music/song. After a minute I asked the driver to stop the song to which he straight forward refused("kyuunnn??????"). I told him am having problem the song/music and asked to stop as I have booked the cab and I have the right to ask the cab services like A.C., Window, Song/Music etc.. to which he replied have you bought the car("gari kharid liyo ho kya????????").

              Then he later stopped the trip way before my destination and asked to pay the current trip amount and also said I can make a complaint("complain kar dena").

              I was suing OLA earlier where number of times I have faced very serious harassments in Delhi, NCR regions and also Bangalore.

              I request peoples to be aware of these things using OLA/Uber as there is no difference as the same driver uses both apps simultaneously to pick drives when it comes to driver and cabs.

              I request authorities to look into these matters seriously as these can be cumbersome for customers who just want to commute thing that using these cabs will be better than Auto.

                While booking Uber intercity shows fare Rs 1146/-.
                But while trip end shows fare Rs 2315/-.
                Complaint raised at Uber app but no response.
                Very pathetic.
                I want refund.
                Pictures attached herewith (While booking and after trip ends).
                No response till now from Uber India.

                    Driver is refusing to take the ride after accepting
                    My ride is from Makarpura, baroda to Ahmedabad international airport, Gujarat

                    Now the driver is not cancelling the order purposely as he was asking for higher rent without Uber booking.
                    When we refused to do so, the driver is not cancelling the trip intentionally so that I cannot get another driver booked and delaying my journey

                    This unacceptable and will take this to consumer court

                      This is extremely sad.

                      And the way you are literally blackmailing me into paying you an amount of money which was not showing at the time the journey concluded.

                      The amount showed was Rs.502/- and I paid the driver in cash the same amount.

                      So where does this PAYMENT FAILED caption to this mail come in from.

                      And whatever was asked of me I have paid the same. On what grounds or what reasons have the fares been now stated as Rs.735/- and the difference of Rs.233/- being almost demanded of me.

                      I was trying to book a cab of your company, my wife had to go to a hospital for a appointment today at 19.00 hours, and there is then this demand for the Rs.233/-.

                      No background is stated. And there is total confusion. I have sent my wife by a different Vehicle now.

                      And gone into your mails of the same date and am now replying to the same too.

                      After one pays the fare for a ride, whoever checks a mail to know whether the right amount was paid or not and that too in cash!!!

                      So what now, whenever I take a ride to anywhere, I am not sure if the transaction is completed or not. And I can expect a demand later too. And the other thing how do I know this is not some organised racket. There are a lakh or more rides being taken by people even a 10% of customers are sent this mail and demand for an average of Rs.100/- payment failed stuff and the amount would work out to 10 lakh. And for the year ...

                      You have got the potential to open up old bills and state the logic you are using for this present demand too.

                      Please send me all details about the bills for that day of mine.

                      Your messages.

                      Your calculations.

                      How your calculation for that trip went wrong. The billing etc.

                      And please admit that your billing had gone wrong and not my payment. Do not headline my integrity and negative the same. Headline that it is your mistake. Your system.

                      Just imagine this happening in all industries. A restaurant sends you a letter after some days about their billing having gone wrong ( and also stating Payment Failed instead ) for the food content eaten and the deficit to be paid.

                      And start to think about it in all sectors.
                      We can understand if a request is made and then an explanation as to how it has been error from their side etc. But here you have put the blame squarely on your passenger. The driver has complained about me and you say it is a PAYMENT FAILURE. Now did I give a fake currency note or something that the CASH payment failed or if the driver has complained then have I run away from the site just dumping Rs502/- and escaping. Whatever is being implied us not a joke please.

                      Please send me all the relevant details of your system failure and I will confirm about same and then make payment.

                      And do not headline the mail again as my Payment FAILED - it is purely your fault. Whatever was demanded I had paid.

                      If you address the issue and headline it again the same way I will consult legal opinion for filing a defamation suit for sure.

                      This has been a very humiliating experience at a juncture o[censored]rgency too.

                      So pl explain things properly.

                          I have booked Uber to drop my guest from my home to railway station. I selected Paytm as payment mode. But when they were dropped in railway station, driver asked to pay by cash. My guest paid the amount in cash. At the same time trip amount is deducted from my PayTM account as well. I contacted Uber, they returned only 90% of the amount.

                          Trip Date: September 10, 2021
                          Total ₹336.76
                          Refund amount : 300 as Uber credits.
                          Balance amount to refund : 36.76
                          No response from Uber for the balance. Support response "We already refunded 300 Uber credits and can not do anything on this", which is not acceptable.
                          I want the balance amount should be returned back to me.

                            On Sunday 12th September 2021, I had to make a trip from Manpada Thane to Khatwari Darbar Bandra at around 10.30 AM

                            Hence at around 09.00 AM, I opened the OLA App and checked to pre book my ride. It showed me a fare of Rs. 569/-

                            I cross checked it on UBER then itself. It showed me a range of 500 Rs to 625 rs.. I immediately booked my ride for 10.30 AM on UBER at 09.00 AM.

                            When I completed the ride with UBER at around 11.30 AM, the driver asked me to pay Rs 1062/- . Even my UBER app was showing the same.

                            I protested saying that it was twice the fare for which I had pre booked.

                            The driver said that he will have to call the police to settle the matter.

                            I said OK.

                            He then made me sit for almost 10 minutes, and rang up some helpline number from his phone which instructed him to collect the fare of Rs. 530/- which I was ready to pay.

                            This is very bad.

                            In almost every other situation I would have been forced to pay the inflated amount.

                            It is simply because I had reached my destination well before time due to empty roads on a lazy Sunday morning, that I could afford to protest, be with the driver in the cab itself for 10 minutes.

                            Booking at some rate and charging double on completion of journey is not at all ethical.

                              So many drivers harassing for location dets then just not picking up or cancelling..this is causing so many delays.. yesterday 4 drivers did this to me and one of them would not cancel and kept my trip open for 28 minutes.. the option of being able to contact customer should be removed and these drivers penalised .uber customer services failing to take up the issues

                                I have issues with the uber ride:

                                1. On 10.09.21 i booked an uber cab at 16:03 PM. Driver name was Rajesh (car Maruti Suzuki Dzire). When i booked the car it was showing different fare (Rs. 316). Though it was high i accepted it and got the ride.
                                After reaching the destination, when i was about to pay the fare, i was shock and surprise to see that the fare has gone to much higher rate (Rs. 361).

                                2. On that very day 10.09.21 i again booked an uber cab for return at 17:45 PM. Driver name as Sunil (car Hyundai Xcent). Again same incident happened. Booked the car at Rs. 209 and when it reached the destination it turned to Rs. 275.

                                Now, please let me know how this is happening in a consistent manner. i fell cheated and disgusted by this incident. i dont know whether you will take action or not but certainly it will hamper the image, atleast to me it has.

                                  We booked a UBER AUTO on Sept.08, 2021 at 1.21PM for a ride from LTT to Thakur Complex through Mobile No. [protected] and the fair was Rs.367.84.
                                  The booking was confirmed and received by Mohammad Kashif of vehicle No. MH47AW0430 at 1.21PM. However, he asked for Fifty Rupees extra. We were ready to pay the amount provided he gave a receipt for the same. He declined to give any receipt against the payment.
                                  We did book the ride again expecting that it would be forwarded to some other driver but it went to the same driver Mphammd Kashif and he again asked for Fifty rupees extra.
                                  Is it okay on the part o[censored]BER India or UBER India takes action against such drivers?

                                    I have booked UBER CAB (No 10BH 4264) opposite to Alandur Metro Railway station .
                                    Once after I got in, he asked me the Payment mode and and he said would accept only cash. For this, he said would do some changes on his side and I was in hurry and urgent to reach the place I said ok. But later I got a call from another driver (TN07CL7349) called as he was waiting at pickup point. After this I realized this Driver got cheated me and that time about to cross half of the distance. In this, I had to pay cancellation charges of 2nd cab. I expecting UBER should take necessary action against the first driver (No 10BH 4264) and refund my cancellation charges for 2nd CAB.

                                      I had just started using Uber with the number [protected]. I hadn't set any payment method. This Uber app auto-synced the method of payment with my amazon account.
                                      Since I was unaware of this, I was paying the driver in cash and the fare was getting deducted from my amazon pay too. This happened for initial 3 rides (details given below):
                                      1. 22 Aug at 1.57 pm - Rs. 429.27
                                      2. 25 Aug at 11.05 pm - Rs. 76.70
                                      3. 27 Aug at 12.32 pm - Rs. 173.97
                                      And then one day while I was checking my amazon account, I noticed these deductions made to Uber. Immediately I asked for Uber support to refund Rs. 683 which has been paid twice till now. Also, I shared the snapshots of these fare deductions from my amazon pay. They were not ready to refund the amount and none of the drivers (for those 3 rides) informed me that the payment is already done online.
                                      When I am asking for refund, they are just saying that the payment in cash is done for a non-cash trip so we won't be refunding the amount. This is how they are cheating their customers of their hard-earned money. Kindly help with the issue.

                                        Do you fell indian customers are dull and dumb your drivers continuously cancelled my 7 trips and demanding extra money to pick and even than while cancelling trips you said you will be partially charged for the the bluddy cancellation.
