This is regarding my trip on 9th March from Vadodara Central Bus Station to Kalol (Panchmala District - https://goo.gl/maps/nR6DCyfekxFYHVGK6). The driver made a horrible route mistake & started going towards Kalol (in
Gandhinagar - https://goo.gl/maps/r8kbgFzQoYy13UjW9). He started to take Vadodara - Ahmedabad Expressway & that's when i asked him why he is going towards it & he says my home location is Ahmedabad & so i've got your trip to Kalol, Gandhinagar whereas i had chosen drop location of Kalol, Panchmahal.
Luckily, we hadn't crossed toll-booth by the time i asked him to change route & follow google map. He said you must change drop location because he knew now Uber will consider double fare since we are on expressway & maps will consider completing the expressway completely (which is around 75+ km long) and
unfortunately Uber did that. I had no choice but to change the location, i just moved few meters from my previous drop location. Fare changed from earlier amount of 1058 to 2269. But then he smartly took U turn before the toll-booth & we saved lot of time, he got higher trip fare.
Meaning, trip fare is not considering actual km covered & we covered some 15km extra because of driver's stupidity.
Ideal Route was 55.4km. Driver's stupidity made us cover 74-75km in actual. Uber considered 131km for fare calculation. That means fare charged is much more higher than legitimate. Attaching fare details, all maps for your reference.
I have raised numerous incident in Uber help but they aren't ready to help, completely opposite to customer centric approach, attaching that discussion as well.
But the 3rd driver was very good and he dropped me safely at the bus stop but however due to these unnecessary happening I missed the bus.
Requesting you to please take this matter seriously as this is becoming the everyday story as the drivers are taking advantage. I have attached the screenshots for the same.
