I travelled using uber on 8/02/2019 at 4:53 am as it was election day in delhi and i was an officer to perform my duty. The payment mode i chosen for this trip was paytm but it did not worked at that time (Screenshot attached) so i paid cash to driver 121.51 rupees. But on 5 april 2020 uber charged me for the same amount for the same trip (Screenshot attached). So is this how uber is making money?
When i talked to uber support about this issue they replied as this ride is older then 48 hours so we can not make any adjustment. Fact is they can charge you for the trip even after two months but if you want your money back then you should contact them within 48 hours. I am disappointed with uber

    What the hell is going on with uber... I have no clue whatsoever why my uber account has stopped functioning... Everything going smooth until 15 days back but suddenly i see my account is not operating... Some # errors popping up all over the place... Let me tell you not even a single scuffle i have ever faced with with my entire experience o[censored]sing uber for the last few years now... How this dictatorship i can allow from you which has disabled my uber account without intimating me anything specific about what went wrong where... Its just the classic example that an overseas company throwing arrogance on its customer and utterly disrespecting the indigenous rule of law...
    So, i've decided in response to ur nonsense now to do everything possible to make you earnestly answerable to people like me and i shall not mind if i'm compelled to drag you legally to the courts as well... Or maybe finding other solutions... Trus me i'll not let you off the hook with this # because i have heard many casees like mine of my acquintances and few in in news where they've also been treated the same way...
    This time you've dialed the wrong number.. I'm not that kind of a customer who's gonna allow this mockery of customer - client system in place... And allow you behave like a roadside company...
    Kindly do something by reinstating my uber account right now with a written apology and perhaps the mental harassment compensation as well... Otherwise it might just well be too late for you...
    Honestly, i don't give a damn whether i'm abe to use uber services or not but this is the fight to set a better precedent and disallow such idiotic behaviour by a foreign company... Just get that.
    Hope better sense prevail and addressed the cencern on a priority.

      1. I booked uber on 17 mar 2020 from delhi t2 terminal to my home at vivek vihar sector 82 noida. While booking the amount shown was rs 759/-. On completion the amount demanded was 1737/- which is more than double. The driver also told me that excess charge will be refunded. This type of cheating is totally unexpected out of a multinational famed company. The address shown is also incorrect. I tried to get refund through app but could get only for rs 3/- which is a joke.

      2. May i request you to kindly charge the fare shown initially before booking and refund the balance amount failing which i will be forced to discontinue use o[censored]ber in future and also advise all my friends against using uber.

        Yesterday night one of my friend had went to koramangala in bangalore from uber, car number was ka05ah4600, so he forgot his iphone xr in d cab, after 5 mins he realised that he forgot his phone so he called on his number and after that phone was switched off and driver was not picking the call, we tried to contact uber customer care they to didn't help, so i would like that u help me in this matter, coz my friend is pubg esports player and he used to use that phone for practicing and in some days he has pubg pro league and his name is tanmay singh aka scoutop u can even check his instagram stories he has mentioned the details

          To add insult to injury rs.20 we demanded for driver cancellation
          The second booking was not allowed inspire of making 50 i n r into 2 payment still no further booking was allowed by 1 hour water my 100 in r gone and no. Booking allowed
          The fault was of your driver who was cheating by telling lies that he is coming but driver cancelled the trip

          Secondly for Driver cancellation why I was asked to make payment with no choice to make payment to next driver

          In spite of making payment twice of Rs 50 still no booking was allowed second booking leading to loss of time once I urgently needed to travel

          Pl take to task the Driver
          Once driver cancellation why Rs 20 were demanded with no choice to pay to subsequent driver
          In spite of making Rs 50 payment twice still further Rs 20 were inferred

            On 12th march 12:19 i was traveling by uber in chennai from no 335 - b barma bazar, chennai to 4th cross klathumetu st. Chennai.
            The drivers name was arunkumar
            The fare was booked by card payment.
            The driver mentioned that he had no money to pay for petrol and requested for cash payment.
            To which i obliged.
            The amount paid in cash was irs : 281
            The same amount was also deducted by my card.
            I returned from the same location to chennai central station and paid by card irs 297.74.
            At night i returned to bangalore and once again i paid by card irs 120.16
            From cantonment station to my residence.
            Till now the amount of irs 281 has not been reimbursed.

              I booked an uber trip on 12/3/2020 at around 9.15 am.. One driver named raja and maruti suzuki ritz was assigned to pick me up. Unfortunately i dont have the taxi number as once the trip ends it does not appear on the app.

              I sat in the cab and had to go to bkc from lower parel.. I have been taking the same route to work since november 2019 and when i told the driver which route to take, he refused to take the route even though it was showing in his maps.. He wanted to take the route with maximum traffic which i was taking him from my daily route which has least traffic. This idiotic driver refused to take the route and asked me to get out of his cab if i dont want to take the route as suggested by him. The driver had the audacity to literally throw me out of the taxi and stopped in the middle of the road and asked me to get out. When i called up the uber safety number, they refused to do anything and said to raise a complaint. I was appalled by the unprofessional behavior of the driver and even more so o[censored]ber. When i raised a complaint, all they had to say was that we are refunding the amount and marking the driver's profile. I am appalled at the company's response to such an incident. According to them refund of my money is enough to compensate for the safety threat and the unprofessional attitude of the driver. Fortunately this was in mumbai and morning time on a busy street in dadar. What if this driver behaves like this with anyone else in the middle of the night or misbehaves in such a way that no one is around to help. I want the strictest of action to be taken against this driver and uber. My ride details and the picture of the driver is attached.

                I have started a trip from mahape to thanw in uber auto. After riding for about half a km he asked me about the fare. When i told him the fare is 194.61 rs. He mentioned that the fare will be extra. When i told him to continue the trip as per the map in the app, he started arguing and he ended the trip as trip complete without intimation. He took 48 rs. From me and told me that he will drop me to my destination using his private auto and charged 324 rs.
                I would like to get my money refund and pay me the compensation for this harassment

                  Uber has come up with the concept of otp recently. However, i don’t think the software has been completely updated. This has happened almost 6-7 times now that i haven’t received an otp and the auto/cab driver has asked me for otp. If i haven’t received an otp from where should i tell them the otp? Plus the drivers are very rude and unprofessional. Today was the worst. I had to miss my bus because of this nonsense. There is no customer care number on which we can call and complaint as well. This is not acceptable. Something needs to be done regarding this. We cannot waste our time and energy on such things.

                    Uber has charged me 428 rupees feb 2020 for a ride, for which i paid cash to the driver.

                    As per uber, the mode of payment was online and i was not supposed to pay cash. But what to do when uber registered driver ask you for cash and i cannot quarrel with him regarding the same on road. Are we supposed to do that.

                    I complaint, they said this is the policy and we cant refund the money. Also, they are not disclosing the contact details of driver that too as per their policy. Aren't they exploiting the costumers by ganging up together like this

                    Why should i pay twice for a ride? Kindly help me get the refund.
                    Driver has asked me the change for 2K. And given me the fake currency. I tried thur Uber helpline and contacted the driver. He accepted the fraud what he did. And he asked me two days time to exchange. Now he is not lifting the call even from uber helpline also. Kindly take necessary action please

                      Hi,
                      I booked a uber auto in cash payment mode from my residence to secunderabad railway station. The charges were 111/-. I paid 110/- as i did not have one rupee change (Had only 500 notes).
                      When i came back to town and booking uber, i am surprised to see message saying "your driver reported that you didn’t pay the full amount. -₹111.00 will be due on your next trip."
                      I had paid 110/- already in cash and even if i have to pay, it is rs.1/- only, but i am being asked to pay 111/-. Why should i pay.
                      There are several occasions when we have foregone much more to uber drivers due to lack of change and we leave it in good will. But here for rs.1/- short, the driver has complained and uber has not even gone to details and put up a message to a loyal customer asking him to pay the full fare again. This is unprofessional.
                      Request uber to look into this and resolve immediately.

                      While booking the cab it was reflecting Ra. 450 on the app after drop driver asked me to pay Rs.1450, they have included almost 10 types of surcharges in my bill

                        On 2nd march, 2020 i booked an uber ride and added two stops for the trip. I specifically told the driver before the trip began that there are two stops. But after reaching the first stop, the driver denied to go to the second. He started making aggressive hand actions and shouting in kannada (A language which i dont know). He asked me to get out of the car and cancelled the trip.

                        All this at 11pm at night. I have complained to uber but no action has been taken yet. How can he drop me anywhere but the destination? When i'm paying for the extra stop how can he cancel the trip in between?

                          Hi all,

                          Uber services are degrading day by day. Driver refuse for ncr destinations from delhi.

                          Every time we book a cab from delhi to gurgaon. Driver come to the location and ask the passengers to deboard the cab, stating that they will not take us to ncr location as they don’t have tax.

                          If the drivers do not have tax for ncr then why they arr allowed to take ncr rides???

                          Can’t uber check on their own.. This has happened numerous times that it has happened.. Driver illegally ask for drop destination and then cancel the ride.

                            Uber has charged me 865 rupees in novemver 2015 for a ride, for which i paid cash to the driver.
                            When i tried to book next ride after few months, uber didnot allow me and asked to pay the balance 865.
                            As per uber, the mode of payment was online and i wasnot suppossed to pay cash.
                            So i had to pay again to use uber, i complaint for it, they didnot agree.

                            I used uber after a long time on 24feb 2020 again, just to see if it allows me to book the cab, it did.
                            After the ride end, i was charged 865 + my ride fare.
                            I complaint, they said this is the policy and we cant refund the money.

                            Why should i pay twice for a ride? Kindly help me get the refund.

                              On 09/02/2020 i took a trip from 4b, motilal nehru rd, manoharpukur, kalighat, kolkata, west bengal 700029 to 58 m. G. Road, kolkata, west bengal 700041.

                              The vehicle broke down after covering one third of the trip and we had to take another uber to reach our destination. But we had to pay rs.70.94 to the driver of the broken vehicle and again had to pay another rs.101.69 to the driver of the newly booked uber to complete our journey.

                              When i booked in the first instance to reach my destination at 58 m. G. Road, kolkata i was supposed to pay rs.113+ but due to the breaking down of the vehicle and booking of another i had to pay around rs.60 more, which i am contesting.

                              Unfortunately, in uber.com there is no way to place our grievance for specific reasons. Uber has got a set of questions for complaints and if someone has got something extra from that set question, one cannot cannot put forward to them their complaints.

                                Today 25-feb-2020 morning, i booked an uber for my wife from gaur city-2 noida extn to jasola dlf towers. After trying for 4 times, finally i managed to get one cab (First three drivers cancelled the trip after talking to me and knowing the drop location).
                                The fourth driver insisted to add one more location in the trip towards jasola otherwise he was also cancelling the trip.
                                I did the same because it was office time for people like us. And i found that my fare got revised from ₹500 to ₹700.
                                While i did raise the complaint on uber help, however to no avail. They are not refunding the excess money charged.

                                  My wife's complaint today in fb against uber
                                  "today i had a horrible experience with uber. I had booked a cab at 4.45am for travel from saibaba colony to coimbatore rly station. The driver suresh turned up in 10 mns but thereafter refused to drop me and my husband at the station because he claimed we had too much luggage. One small suitcase and 2 small bags. Despite repeated pleading that we would miss our train to blore he refused to relent. We had no option but to seek alternative mode of transport. Meanwhile he offered to take us to the station as a private taxi operator.
                                  I refused his offer and said i would lodge a complaint against him with uber. He told me to go ahead and said we will not be able to harm a single hair on his body. Then followed a volley of verbal abuses by him against 2 senior citizens as we went about looking for ways to get to the station. He even told us that he knew top shots in uber and could help us get jobs there as drivers as we looked like unemployed vagabonds. I therefore request uber to initiate stern action against this errant driver so that he does not similarly harass other passengers esp senior citizens in future. Let me hasten to add that my husband and i are long term users o[censored]ber services and our past experiences have invariably been excellent. No wonder today's exception was an unpleasant and horrible surprise.

                                    My driver asked me for paying cash instead of online payment. When i denied and told him to cancel the trip he didn't canceled the trip instead told me to cancel the trip by my end so i denied as it would be falsely charged me due to his cash asking and then he waited there and then when the waiting time got expired then he told me if you come and pay me the extra payment then only i will come.
                                    This happened with me for the third time. Don't you value the customers.
                                    Took cab from airport on 15feb 2020. Payment method was cash. After reaching my destination I paid cash to driver around Rs 1750 which he asked for as per fair charged. But after 10days it is showing outstanding with increase charge to Rs 2850 unpaid and I am not able book my can further. I remember because that driver was excellent

                                      On 19th feb 2020 08:40 pm, i booked uber moto and this guy 'ranjith kumar' accepted the ride. When i met him and sat on his bike, he asked me the drop location. After knowing the drop location, he cancelled the ride and just said the ride is cancelled by mistake and asked me to get down and book another ride and rode away from there.
                                      This is not the first time that an uber driver refused the ride after knowing the location. What if there is an emergency and driver simply refuse the ride? What action is taken to curb these incidents?

                                      As expected, No reply from Uber.
                                      An auto was booked on Uber to take me to the bus station. The driver made lame excuses and in the end did not come to pick me up. He cancelled the trip and I have been asked to pay a cancellation fee of Rs. 20. I see this as unfair and unprofessional. Please look into this and resolve at the earliest.
                                      I was charged Rs. 765.60 & never got picked by their auto driver. Adding to my frustration the destination I chose was less than 4km. When wrote to their customer service they close the case by refunding Rs. 465.60.

                                        The fare charged was too much higher than I expected. I am attaching the screenshot of the same locations. And there was no toll or anything in between the locations but i am charged ₹231 extra. For this trip. It's quite unpleasent. I would not have travelled if the fare was that much high. It was was showing around ₹87 at that time also. Even you can check these locations anytime the fare is never like that.
