I had purchased videocon d2h hd set top box with 1 year gold maxi pack on 03/01/2016. the installation of the stb was done by some freelancer and not by authorized videocon personnel. ever since that, i have been facing issues in watching channels. i have raised 3 complaints till date and each time videocon sent the same technician who doesn't know his job but charges hefty for the service which is under warranty.
On july 6th, 2016 the technician had again visited my doorstep for a complaint that i had launched on 2nd july, 2016 for no signal at all. the technician couldn't figure out what the problem is despite wasting 2.5 hours. finally when i suggested to check if the cable is fine, he replaced the original cable with a spare one and signal started to appear. i was charged rs 150 for 4 meter cable.
Till date i have paid a total of rs 1370 in the name of service, charged by videocon technician. all this when my product is still under warranty and just 6 months old. i demand a refund of all additional cost incurred by me in the name of fake service. i am not even considering to sue videocon for the mental agony caused to me and my family members by the ill mannered and uncouth technicians.
