Did one big mistake of getting my prepaid converted to postpaid(Vodafone). Vodafone hires under-qualified personnels who are not able to handle simplest of things which in turn is creating a big problems for genuine customers! Its over 1 month now and I have not been able to make a call from my number as address verification was marked failed even after a executive visit to my place. I have wasted more than 3-4 hours at the vodafone outlet and got false promises that the problem will get resolved asap(17 days back). And the worst part is that I am getting calls for making payments for the service that never got activated on my cell!

I am very frustrated with this behavior and have already applied for a different number from a good service provider. Do something before you lose a lot of your customers like this.

Customer Care,

This is to inform you that my mother is a vodafone postpaid user, therefore against it i got a call from Mr Harish from the faridabad centre saying that they have an offer of another postpaid connection which will start within 24 hrs, i paid 250rs and submitted all documents required on 9th june and thought it will get registered by the next day...but to my horror i came to know after calling at call centre that the documents were deposited on 11th !!!

anyways i was told that within 72 hrs it will be activated, but as expected very tricky statements were made by Ali & Madhuri (custer care executive), the customer care is so pathetic that they don't even attend calls properly, about 5 times they had disconnected my calls without providing full information, and every time i ask for the status ...im being asked to wait for another 72 hrs!!!

i had a very bad experience with HUTCH and therefore i was very skeptical about taking vodafone but for the name sake and that Vodafone is an international brand i trusted it, but i guess that vodafone is even worse.

I dont expect you to take action on this mail as I know you hardly care, but if you have some dignity left, kindly let me know.

I am not at all happy with the service provided to me from vodafone. i recently changed my plan and theses guys have changed some settings in my account by which i cannot get the itemized bill to my home address. when i spoke to the representative at the vodafone store they refused to acknowledge my complaint and they said that they cannot do anything as the data in the system reflects something else however the details were changed from their side. i have visited the store several times but no one seems to help me. also the vodafone customer care agents speak rudely and always keep on saying that they don't have any information regarding whatever i ask them. i don't know if its the help desk or a helpless desk but i am not really satisfied with the service they provide it to me. i have been sending them emails day in and day out but they just dont seem to help me. hence i thought of sending an email to you guys so that i could get some help.

Today I really had a pathetic experience with Vodafone
I tried making call from my World calling card but I am unable to do so as it says..I can't make call to this number...though I was using the correct procedure(I registered for pinless dial and tried dialing number prefixing 5021800*******)After trying so many times I called up Vodafone customer care at 111..A CCR named Rajni and she informed that I am following the wrong procedure and instead of 50218 I should prefix 50318,I tried using the procedure which she informed me but was unable to make call again,Like Rajni I spoke to so many CCR's in between but I do not remember their names. After calling up a brand named VODAFONE so many times but unable no one was able to resolve the issue I wanted to speak to the senior,I called up Vodafone customer care 16 times and spoke to Gulshan,Vicky,Deepak(Twice),Raj and Ali..They all were not able to transfer my call to their seniors

At last my call was transfered to a so called senior named he advised me to visit a Vodafone store as the do not have the URL which is used for World calling card and dissconnected the call..

When I called for the 17th time the call was connected to Rashmi and I told her that I want to speak to her senior so please transfer my call, she informed me that as of now there is no senior available on the floor,I told her that few minutes back only I spoke to her senior and the call got dissconnected she said let me check if someone is available, she put me on hold and the hold time was 8 minutes 21 seconds and the call got dissconnected as usual....

Please advise what exactly Vodafone customer care stands for??
DO YOU REALLY VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS????
Hi,

My name is Aditya Sharma. I am the son of a retired Col in the Indian army. I have a Vodafone connection --number [protected]. My connection is 7 to 8 years old and i have never defaulted on the services. I was asked by a Tele-caller to submit some necessary documents required by the government and i readily agreed despite the fact that my connection is almost a decade old. Vodafone has till date the 27-th May not yet sent any person to my house and have disconnected my outgoing, disconnected my caller ID which is like an insult to me. Since the 1st week of May their customer service keeps on telling me that some executive will come to my house but he never turns up. My father who is 60+ years of age had to go to the CP office to submit the necessary documents as i was out of town. He went to the CP office IN Delhi and was told on the 25th that there is no point in showing the documents there at CP and that someone will visit our house in Gurgaon within 72 house...no one has visited.......srh[protected][protected]complaint number

I FEEL CHEATED, ROBBED BY THE GOVT AND VODAFONE, INSULTED AND BRUISED....AM I A TERRORIST THAT THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO ME? AM I AT FAULT IF I PAID MY BILLS ON TIME EVERTIME FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS? IS THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA TRYING TO SHOW ITS POWER TO ME? WILL THEY PAY FOR INCREASING MY BLOOD PRESSURE?
Vodafone Services Sucks,
I have been their customer for past 10 years plus, recently I am facing network problems
(No Network) at my place, I complained to them they said it will take seven days to set it
right, after seven days again the same answer of seven days.
Got fed up as the phone was useless without a network. Hence wanted to deactivate the
account now they are giving all the excuses for deactivating. Will have to take legal action
on them.
Hi

I am working in ITPL Tec Park B'lore.

The service provided by the vodafone staff in ITPL campus office is not acceptable. They dont seem intrested in solving customer query.

I had a very bad experience in the store when I went to submit my documents according to the new law. After submitting the documents I had got 2-3 calls and e-mails saying that I have not submitted the required documents.

I cannot go to the store everyday to resubmit the same.

Bad experience

vodafone customer service is really pathetc including their executives. pls do not get tempted by their false romises and offers.
I have a vodafone prepaid number (Orissa circle)
I received an sms today from vodafone saying
"Caller Tune has been activated"
And charges were deducted from my balance ...
Customer care said that i had activated the service by calling some number and listening to songs and then selecting one....
I told them that i didnt do anything of this sort...
When i wanted to lodge a complaint against this, the customer care representative asked me to talk to his supervisor and placed my call on hold... after a few seconds my call was cut...
this happened 3 times with the customer care...
Hi,

Vodafone , the pathetic service providers !!!They block your incoming and outgoing numbers. Everytime someone calls you , you see 'Unknown calling'

Few months back, this happened and they asked us to submit documents for proof to activate. We submitted and it was activated(they did this without any intimation!!)

Now again, we get the same problem, they misplaced the documents and are asking us to resubmit,.

When we went to Vodafone office in WhiteField Bangalore, manger Daljeet (please get him customer service training!!) spoke soo rude . He asked us to re-submit the documents or do whatever we want and is openly saying we lost them.

Asif /Nicolas - representatives there were of no help.

Where do we go? Who will help us from these cheap fellows???

Guys,

If you are facing the same problem, lets make it legal, we cannot pay deaf ear for every problem

Regards

As a 10 year old customer with Vodafone (est Essar Cellphone), I hate to pen this down, but the services have just gone from bad to worse withthis company. I feel harrased as a customer despite having a clean payment record. The saga begins from July 10. I had been asked to submit the documents somewhere in July, which I did, assuming that the person who collected the documents from me would make the necessary updates. Few months later I start gettinig a message on my phone, each time I have to place a call, it usually played for 30 seconds and then the phone would go through. I called and got this deactivated requesting that the person comes and collect the documents from me once again. This never happened.

Today, my services have been worst than barred. I call a number, it starts going through and the call timer starts. To my surprise what plays on my phone is not the ringing bell of the other number but a message from Vodafone that the documents should be submitted. after this message completes, it keeps saying that please wait one of our representatives will get in touch. I heard this message for 7-10 minutes with the hope thst someone would come on the call. No one eventually did. Tired I called them up only to get through an uneducated representative, all who could say is" mujhe aapki madat karne me khushi hogi". I narratted the complete problem only to hear that "main aapki kya sahayta kar sakta hoon??" Irritating!!!

I then asked for a supervisor, only to hear that there is no one who can come speak to me. I was told he's busy and there is no one else. I will have to call later. Which means "I as a customer should keep facing the inconvenience and there is no one in the call center who can help, GREAT SERVICE!!"

I was committed that within 4 hours from 3:00 PM IST the message will be deactivated, however my outgoiong was activated (GOD KNOWS WHY NO ONE COULD UNDERSTAND MY ISSUE). Thats the maximum time, but the service generally gets activated within 15-20 minutes. 2 hours passed, nothing happened. I called again, finally to talk to a reasonable person who said my services were barred and will immediately be activated. Its almost two hours again, NO GOOD.

Here I am with 25 minutes left for the 4 hours, still waiting for the service to start. PATHETIC SERVICE!!

The TRAI has given the operators right to harrass the customers. Is there a body who checks for their level of service? Waiting for the number portability to start in Delhi.

Sadly Vodafone will loose not just one but the connections for my entire family (5).

CAN SOMEONE REALLY HELP???????????????????
Still Unresolved.
I tried calling Vodafone today at least 10 times. Got through the difficult IVR twice, could not get any help so far.

I was kept on hold for 17 Mins in my last call at 1.12pm on 15 June 2011. This is not acceptable.

I’ve paid my bill and still receiving pre- recorded message before my call is getting connected. PLEASE REMOVE THIS ASAP else I’ll switch over to a new carrier. RESPOND!!!

[protected] mobile no
I am reproducing what i have written to Vodafone customer service / nodal officer and appellate authority.

Dears,

With deep pain I am forced to write this mail.

I guess inspite of me using 2 vodafone nos (of which 1 I am using for past 10 years +) still vodafone doesn’t consider me as a loyal customer. By the way if your office is not aware your loyal customers nos are[protected]for past 10 years+) and[protected]past 6 months +). Month after Month closer to the due date I keep getting reminder calls for payment. Either there is something wrong with Vodafone policies or I need to change my service providers.

If this was not enough, for some strange reason my usage for my no.[protected] from 1st June 2011 till date is reading as 3776/- which I have never received in past several months. Nor is it that this month my usage has been high because of which I see unused bill amount as 3776/-. I had called on Sunday 12th June & registered my unused billing complaint for which I have even received an sms stating “Hello! Your service registration number is [protected]. We shall respond to your query by Monday 13-Jun-11 06.00pm”. I am yet to receive a call to get a clarification on my unused billing. I am yet wondering which calendar does Vodafone follow!!!

I am writing this mail to keep on record my “WRITTEN” communication so that tomorrow your company cannot shelve your responsibility.

Vodafone company has started STINKING big time and guess time has come to do lot of soul-searching & internal changes to give the customer a reason to SMILE.

I'm using vodafone service for last 3 months .Last month i was requested for plan change from 199 voice plan to 449 voice plan also i requested plan change for my data plan from 199 (4GB) to 98 (1 GB) data plan and the same was activated..

suddenly my 98 data plan was disconnected on 23-Mar'12 without my information and from 24-Mar'12 onwards 199 data plan was activated( i haven't given any information to activate this plan) and again 26-Mar'12 the same got deactivated.

Due to this error i was charged for my internet usage for Rs 493 + Tax which is not acceptable also without my confirmation how my credit limit can be increased.
Dear recipient,

I am Avinash kumar holding a Vodafone number [protected] Yesterday (11/06/2012) wiThout any intimation They changed my plan to data card That's why i suffered entire day and still suffering as i was neiTher able to receive nor able to make a phone call. Is This The service vodafone provides to a customer, who does not even delay bill payment for single day. I walked in at vodafone store today and asked Them clarification on why have you activated data card plan wiThout letting me know, vodafone executives was saying i made a request on 19Th of May, first of all i did not make any such crap request even Their customer care executive told me its Their own fault and if i did so Then how come you change my plan from today as today is neither my billing cycle date nor i made request yesterday or day before.Being a mobile user how can i ask to stop my all services like incoming and outgoing calls and activate only data plan ridiculous.

I suffered 2 days wiThout incoming and outgoing call facility and still suffering. I want a compensation for The loss i incurred due to This paThetic service.

Thanks,
Avinash

For the past week, I have not been able to phone abroad or text abroad via my Vodafone (prepaid connection). I registered a complaint, and my complaint number is 2331. I was told action would only be taken 8 days after my complaint, at the earliest. That is more than a week for a simple complaint, when I need ISD all the time!
Subsequently I tried using my two other Vodafone connections to call or text, using two different instruments and even from those numbers I cannot connect abroad at all.
Is there a general problem at Vodafone? Should I change all my phones to some other company's connection if Vodafone has decided not to provide ISD services?

          Hi,

I have a vodafone number [protected].
          post paid connection.

few days back ,i recieved a message from vodafone that some TV service has been activated and also 150 rupees has been deducted.

In this current month bill, , money has been deducted. when i call the customer centre , they are not responding properly.
I even sent a mail to corp care but they are not doing anything.
Please note that i am not a novice in using a smart phone and i myself am a software engineer,
And in postpaid every service which neesds to be activated needs a mail so that they can kep track of this
Even for activating sms pack, i need to follow so many times and for this useless service , they are activating from their end.
150 is not a small amount.they should have called to confirm .
How one can use a post paid if they are doing something.
so i will not foolishly activate some service and maintain i did not do that.
          Please get me justice.

          To Whomsoever it may Concern:

I am Kruti Thakkar, user of the vodafone no. [protected] am very unhaapy with the vodafone services. This no is registered in the name of Vrajesh Thakkar - DOB - 10/08/1985; email id - [protected]@ hotmail.com. I had put a request to transfer my no. to prepaid but the vodafone store at Santacruz adviced me to tranfer my tarrif to a zero rental plan. As agreed by me i completed all the documentation from my end (confirmed by the store managers at Santacruz) and flew out of country for 2 months. on returning i came to know that my request has not been processed and i have been charged a 2 month rental without any of my faults. I took this problem to vodafone store at santacruz but nobody paid heeds to me. Do you think i would pay for your mistakes. I WANT TO DISCONTINUE MY NO. i am not going to pay if its not my fault.

This is a very sad state of the company to cheat their clients in such a manner.

          Very upsetting.

I Mr. Vivek D. Thakkar is a customer of Vodafone Gujarat since last 5to 6 years with cell number +91 [protected]. Because of one incident I have a complaint against my service provider. For my above cell number I had subscribed one 2G datapack Vodafone live 37 worth RS 37(include 7 days validity and 400MB data) on Feb-16-2012. By sending a sms to start the service I had received a confirmation message from Vodafone company and suggest that it will be renewed on 22nd Feb-2012 at 12:00 at night. So, on 22nd Feb-2012 when I want to de-activate the same I had sent one sms to cancel the pack at 10:58PM, For that sms company had replayed me that your pack is de-activated now at 11:05PM. On 22nd Feb-2012. But still company had renewed this offer once again and debited Rs.37 from my main account balance, and also not given me the benefit of 400MB free data surfing to my account. So, on one side they have wrongly renewed my offer and other side they have not given me any benefit against this offer.
Due to this problem I had many times contact with customer care officer and later on 23rd Feb-2012 at 10:30AM I had contact with nodal officer of Gujarat circle mr.Kirtiraj Gohil on their contact number +[protected], still I have not getting any satisfactory answer from the authority.
So, please give me proper answer and give me justice in this regard as early as possible. Your reply is awaited for any further procedure from my side.

          Thanking For Your Co-operation.

          Dear

I have been charged Rs 488 for Internet usage for 7 days.

I have no intimation regarding this as the Vodafone executive told me that you are having free package till 19th of June as I m using Nokia Lumia 800 for which Vodafone have collaboration for 4 months free internet.

After receiving the bill I called up twice to Vodafone and then also they told me that I have been wrongly charged and you will get credit for this, but after speaking to Mr. Rajeev the supervisor,he told me that you have to pay for this as this is our fault but you have to bear this.

I would like to tell you that I will not pay for this and will switch over to some other service provider.

Please look into this matter seriously.

          Thanks

          Regards

              Dear Vodafone,

              1. First you sold me an unlimited data plan for Ipad numbered [protected] from Vodafone gallery of Kalyan city which I used and confirmed with your customer care on a daily basis that it is an unlimited plan because I feared that the day would come when you will send me a huge bill for this

              2. Then suddenly you block my data usage due to credit limit (Your CC explained even if its unlimited plan but the credit limit is only 10K they also asked me increase the credit limit and ensured that it is an unlimited plan 101% and the bill will come only Rs. 750/- as per plan). My heart sank when I heard this but my faith in your fair bill practice was so strong that I waited patiently to check the bill without increasing the credit limit though

              3. I mailed your customer care at vodafonecare.[protected]@vodafone.com 5 times during this to confirm that it is an unlimited plan and reset my online account password but till date I have not got any replies (except an automated reply which 'assured' me a reply within 2 business days every time). I felt your customer care were very much occupied managing much more complex incidents than mine and as they already knew that mine is an unlimited plan so I would be happy (and quite) once I get the bill of only Rs. 750/- so I once again consoled myself and kept quite

              4. Then you send me bill of 12k. and that's when I lost it Vodafone!!!

Now it's my firm request to you, please check this on your part and rectify it at the earliest before I and millions of your (so called loyal) customer loose faith in your services and customer care.

I expect you will at-least now take this seriously and will reply to me via phone/mail.

              Regards & Sahara Pranam,

I had ported the number from reliance to vodafone and at the time of porting i had submitted the id proof and photo. After 7-10 days my number had blocked without any information and after asking by me at the customer care what had happened ?. they told me that u have not submitted the id proof the you have to submit the id proof at customer care center. I submitted there the id proof but they have not activated the number and told me it will start after 4 days. I had suffered from this process by submitting the id proof again n still it is not working.

APPEAL FOR REFUND OF EXORBITANT AMOUNT CHARGED ON THE VODAFONE MOBILE NO. [protected]
                FOR THE PERIOD 03, 0CT, 2012 TO 02, NOV, 2012

I am citizen of India, has been working in Motilal Oswal Financial Service Limited (Company in short) , Motilal Oswal Tower, Junction of Gokhale & Sayani Road, Prabhadevi, Mumbai – 110 025 as Associate Vice President (Regional Manager- Business Associates posted as Delhi office since 1st August, 2009)

                2. That before switching over to Vodafone by company the appellant has been using his personal Airtel Mobile connection bearing No. [protected] and bill upto Rs. 1500 /- was being borne by the Company itself as per the Mobile Phone Policy in respect of Grade 3 employees of MOSL.

                3. That as per past official records of the Company since joining my earlier mobile bills never exceeds Rs. 2000 per month.

                4. That the monthly bill for the above Mobile Connection as and when received the payment to the extent of Rs.1500/- is used to be reimbursed to the appellant on submission of the Airtel bills and excess amount is deducted from the salary after informing the appellant.

                5. That the Company, for the reasons best known to it, decided to provide Vodafone Mobile Connections to all its officers including the Appellant having the same mobile number by them under Mobile Number Portability. Resultantly, the appellant was having no other efficacy but to accept the services of Vodafone as per eligibility mentioned in Mobile Phone Policy of MOFSL with the same number, i.e. [protected].

                6. That initially on 14th September, 2012, the appellant was provided VMC plan for Rs. 500 (Unlimited) with 2G services activated on same day. Immediately the appellant came across with some problems in using the Vodafone GPRS services as find out due to slow speed internet connection facing delayed in downloading E-mails which required for the smooth functioning of the Company day to day communications with its associates. He therefore, made a request to Telehelp-MOSL on 16.09.2012 to change my plan. On option given by Telehelp-MOSL, the appellant opted for 3G facility with Promo Pack of Rs.650/- (Free 3GB downloading) which was activated through Telehelp-MOSL on 17.09.2012. Thereafter the mobile connection started working properly.

                7. That in the meantime on 22nd October, 2012, the appellant was informed by E-mail from Mr. Dinesh Gupta (Manager-HR Operations, MOSL i.e. the Company) to note the excess usage mail from Vodafone and immediately the appellant sent an E-mail to Mr. Dinesh requesting him to mail the unbilled amount and in turn he asked to send a SMS to 111 stating “unbill” to get the unbilled amount but the same was not the correct number to send SMS to Vodafone. Rather, on the same day appellant directly enquired from Customer Care of Vodafone & applicant was informed that his billed unpaid amount is Rs. 1831/-.

                8. On 31.10.2012, applicant again received mail from Telehelp-MOSL regarding excess usage & 10% standard deduction details of Mobile for September, 2012 amounting to Rs.481/- for the month of September, 2012 i.e. for Rs. 1831/- and the same must have been deducted from his salary This facts shows that up to 31st October, 2012, neither Telehelp-MOSL informed applicant about the exorbitant billing for the month of October,2012, Nor on applicant enquiry Vodafone Customer care inform about this excessive usage on the said mobile connection (Refer Para no. 6).

                9. That with regard to billing of October, 2012 which was on very excessive side i.e. of Rs. 71,000/- (Approx.) and that too the same was deducted from appellant salary for the month of November, 2012, i.e. on 30th November, 2012 without giving opportunity to him to challenge this excess usage with the Vodafone. Therefore appellant sent an E-mail on the same day to Vodafone Corporate Care (corporatecare.[protected]@vodafone.com, corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com) with the belief that there is some technical/software fault as it is quite impossible to use at such a great extent on his mobile set and asked them to reverse the amount but applicant was informed that they cannot entertain his request individually and asked the appellant to come through the Company authorized person Mr. Dinesh Gupta as the Vodafone account is “Company owned Company paid Account”.

                10. That appellant sent an E-mail to Mr. Dinesh on 2nd Dec, 2012 with the E-mail received from the Vodafone to take the matter with the concerned person of Vodafone to investigate the matter & rectify the bill. On instruction of Mr. Dinesh Gupta Vodafone revert to Telehelp-MOSL that the usage details from the 03/10/2012 to 02/11/2012 have been checked & found that the applicant has been charged for the genuine usages originated from his SIM card and he has been charge for Rs. 68,447.82 for 34223910 KB after getting the 3GB free discount for Rs. 6,291.46 & hence net chargeable amount will be Rs. 62,156.36 (Excluding Taxes) & also shown their inability to reverse the charges so levied towards the usage from said VF mobile number.

                11. That it is all the more necessary to mention here that appellant has been informed about this exorbitant bill only after making the payment to Vodafone which has resulted into mental agony, pains, sufferings and stigma on my reputation and the same is causing an financial loss to the applicant and applicant also feel cheated or deceived at the end of Vodafone also through my Company for the reason that had applicant been consulted before making the said exorbitant amount, which is beyond the company limit of Rs.1500, applicant would have been in a position to fight the same or convince the Vodafone authorities. Aggrieved with the same the appellant sent a letter to Mr. Sudhir Dhar, Associate Director of the Company on17.12.2012 requesting him to take the matter with the Vodafone as undisputedly the bill is on very excessive side which is impossible on the mobile set of the appellant keeping in view his past billing of Airtel. It was very shocking that in a very short time of switching over to Vodafone, the billings started going on exorbitant side. The appellant submitted the following important facts to verify:-

                (i) Appellant checked in the itemized bill provided by the Vodafone with effect from 17th Sept 2012 (the date on which 3G services was activated) on applicant mobile, each day usage was found to be very high & its shows that downloading shown in the bill was 24x7 in each every minutes/seconds over his mobile phone, which was not possible for any handset to standby for 24hrs & it needs charging atleast for 3-4 hours per day.

(ii) Total VF Mobile connect (GPRS- Usage in KB’s) shown for the period 02/10/2012 to 02/11/2012 was 34223910 KB (Means around 34GB), whereas the capacity of the applicant mobile handset is only 2GB & moreover his nature of job doesn’t required such usage.

(iii) Even applicant notice that on 18th Oct to 20th Oct he was at Motilal Oswal Tower at Mumbai for some HR- Udaan program & the usage for the aforesaid period shown in the bill for the VF mobile connect works out to 7251970 KB’s which in terms of cost comes to around Rs. 14,000.

(iv) Since the billing system is automated, obviously there may be chances of deliberate faulty meters in this case, or, there would be chances of issuance of duplicate SIM of the same number by the company.

                (v) First notice/alert of excessive usage received by the applicant on 22nd Oct, 2012 by Telehelp-MOSL, by that time total usage by the applicant shown in the bills works out towards cost around Rs. 56,393/- , this shows that reasonable notice not given to the applicant after crossing of credit limit. Why Vodafone allow to reach the bill of an Individual to amounted Rs. 56,393/- without notice to the applicant or, to the Corporate & further Why keep the service continue beyond credit limit without further communication to the Applicant or, corporate Authorized person- Mr. Dinesh Gupta. It shows that Vodafone is guilty o[censored]nfair trade practice as exorbitant charges were levied in the bill for the usage not done by the applicant.

                12. That accordingly the Company of the appellant took up the matter seriously with the Vodafone and in turn received the following reply on 17.12.2012 itself:-

                “Dear Mr. Gupta,

Thank you for writing to Vodafone regarding the usages charge on your Vodafone mobile number [protected].

                Happy to help,
                Vishal Saluja - Vodafone Care”

                13. That on receipt of the above reply to Mr. Dinesh Gupta who has forwarded the same to the appellant and perusal of which gave a great shock to the appellant that a person having field duties to perform has got the billing at a very exorbitant side is quite impossible keeping in view his previous billing on the same number and the nature of working of the appellant.

                14. That it is pertinent to mention here that the Vodafone officials did not provide me the details of data alleged to have been downloaded 24x7 for the usage of which the appellant has been charged exorbitantly. It is again necessary to mention that it is very strange to note that a person seems to be omnipresent that on one side he is using the mobile 24x7 and on the other hand he is leading his team in performance of the officials duties including the field jobs assigned to him from time to time. It is also worthwhile to mention that the appellant also have a family consisting of his wife, two children, father and ailing mother, who also requires his constant help to visit the doctors for treatment. Meaning to say, the appellant apart from shouldering his high official, moral and ethical duties and obligations, he hardly finds any time to downloading the data at such a great KBs/MBs data.

                15. That keeping in view my above submissions, it is ample clear that there are chances of getting my Mobile either paired with any other mobile or problem in the software of the Vodafone Company or the possibility of hacking of the SIM of my mobile cannot be ignored. Therefore, it needs thorough investigation in the matter at your end & as a special case this case will be escalated at highest management level of your company.

                16. That now under these compelling circumstances, the appellant is very scared and afraid o[censored]sing the Vodafone Mobile phone after the above incident which happened in a very short span of 1½ months only and, therefore, has shifted from “Company Owned and Company Paid” to “Individual” and also got deactivated the 3G facility.

                PRAYER:

It is, therefore, humbly requested that your goodself may be graciously pleased to look into the matter by calling for the details of the data usages from the Vodafone Company on the aforesaid number for a very short period of 1½ months for which the appellant used the said number including the technicalities involved by which any misdeeds may happen as the appellant is a layman and cannot understand the technicalities, if any, and after finding that the bill is prepared on some false and frivolous usages, the amount charged in excess may kindly be got reimbursed to the appellant.

Hoping for a favourable response at your end.

                Thanking you,
                Appellant

                  Dear Sir,

I am using Vodafone number [protected]. Service provider has deducted once Rs 35 saying I have activated some service and again after 2-3weeks deducted Rs 50 saying I have activated All channel TV on vodafone. When I called customer care they said you have activated service while browsing internet even them I have registered the complaint and your money will be reverted back in 24 hrs. I am very much sure that I do not click any link to activate any service while browsing. mostly I browse my social network and mails and never click any advertisement link. Despite all effort I have not got my money back and talking to customer care again they says we can not give you timeline, you have activated the service and it will not be reverted back.
Please do the needed to solve the issue.

                  Thanks,

                  Best Regards,

Vodafone Prepaid — DND Not works

I am receiving regular calls from share tradding offices, I have registered DND than why this happen. My cell is vodafone prepaid

Vodafone — activation of services and deduction of balance

                  Dear Sir/Madam,
This is regarding the 2gb internet pack activation for Mobile no. [protected]. From 21st Feb. 2011 to 18th march 2011, approx. one month passed and till today 2gb pack of internet not activated even the negative balance recharged 5~6 times due to the Vodafone mistake.

1.. That, during the this problem, I wasted hours in communication at 111 and [protected] dialling from my Vodafone no., for for explaining my problem, but still I could not communicate on these nos. The pre-recorded messages are keep on repeating in a loop. Then I dialed from other no, i could able to talk at [protected]. This is also there policy for earning, which is not justifyable/correct.

                  2. Based on the Vodafone executive instructions, I have followed accordingly (by recharging and waiting for activation of services) but still it was not activated. Again I got the same msg that you used internet before the activation. Please ask to VODAFONE How many months / years will take to activate this Pack.

                  2. As I had purchased the Vodafone Data card device and paid already lot of money for the 2GB pack activation/internet, because of that, I am running behind for Vodafone. Otherwise there are many other providers who are offering good services in cheaper rates now. But due to the data card which I have purchased, I am trying to be with Vodafone. But now I may not be more with Vodafone.

                  3. I had also noticed during the visits time at VODAFONE stores, I also found others who were facing this kind of problem, but they might not communicate as I am doing.

                  4. Now sir, I would like to ask for compensation of the same (the problem which I have faced becuase of VODAFONE services) from VODAFONE (IData Card value + Recharges value + time + harasmen all) and you decide the same, by understaing the problem in deeply.

                  5. Finally, it is the choice of VODAFONE and your (authorities instructions) to VODAFONE that you would like to keep me with Vodafone or not. The customer will find out their other way, if he is facing problem (in terms of communication services or network services or cheaper services).

I have just informed you the status of VODAFONE services. Again it is upto you (The higher authorities, who provides the licenses) that how you will handle this. I have done a lot from my side.

I am not getting anything which I have paid to Vodafone. Can anybody tell me to whom I should write or discuss.
It is undesirable, unjustice and completely doing wrong (cheating) with customer.
                  Please help.

                  Regards,

                  Ashok

Vodafone — deducting amount for the service that is not asked for

Rs 30 was deducted from my mobile account(mobile no.-[protected]) for the service that I did not ask for. When I complained about this on the customer care, I was persistenly told that I sent a message to the company for that service. To my surprise , he also told me the date and time of the message. Now, I am really shocked as what to do.This has happaned earlier too. Please, help me get my money back and ensure that it should not repeat again. A due action should also be taken against this mal practice of the company in the interest of the customers.

I got a call from Vodafone on 14th March 2013 as was said have to re-submit address and ID proof. Within 2 hours my connection was disconnected. I have been using this number - [protected] for more than a year and had submitted all the documents at BTM layout branch of Vodafone.

While this clearly shows some serious laps on vodafone for mishandling consumer data (god forbid the hard copy document has not fallen into hands of miscreants), them disconnecting service with just 2 hours notice is a big shame on Vodafone as a service provider.

I spoke to customer care and they gave a call reference[protected] Srinivas. He refused even pass the call to his supervisor. The representative told me to raise an issue with TRAI as it was per requirement from TRAI!!!!!!!!

I do not mind resubmitting documents (from a national security standpoint), but atleast a few days time should have been provided. Its unethical and a clear 'shameful customer service' behaviour. That too for the fault of some frivolous vodafone staff.

VODAFONE HAS TO ANSWER WHAT HAPPENED WITH DOCUMENTS.... HAVE THESE BEEN SOLD TO SOME MISCREANTS WHO INTURN USE INFORAMTION TO HAMPER NATIONAL SECURITY?????????

I am not able to make international calls form my Vodafone prepaid mobile of Delhi-NCR region. The problem started since 10-mar-13. I called customer care on 13-mar-13 and they said that there is no problem from their side, and i should try my sim in another phone. I tried that but still the problem persists. I again called customer care on 14-mar-13, but I was rudely told by Ms. Vandana that there is no problem and I shall just go to Vodafone outlet and get my sim checked.
It is not possible for me to leave office and go to outlet. the closing time clashes with my office time. and I am suffering huge problems due to no ISD facility.
                        please help.

                          Hi,

I had an issue with my Vodafone Mobile number.

On 13th March 2013, at 8:00pm (IST), i called my friend, he told me that he is getting a call from a different mob number & not my number, i cut the call and called to my second mobile, the same also showed getting call from a different number. When somebody was trying call me, then they were getting not reachable tone.

I weird part is when i called Vodafone on 14th march morning, one Mr.Naveen picked the call, and the person was so desperate to say that issue would have never happened and will not happen, and didnt give me a case number, the same happened when i called the second time ( I understand that he is doing his job)

But now vodafone needs to say, actually what has happened to my mob number.

or its understood that the service is pathetic

                          Regards

Moreover, I had read an article on Times of India which alerts the users that now a days many mobile users get this kind of fake missed calls from Pakistan and they are asking for some personal and banking details; they are introduced their selves as a service provider representative and they claimed us as a draw winner with big amount.

The number from which i received the missed call is '[protected]'

Please do some action on it.

                            Personnel — Missed call

I am getting continue missed call from these no. [protected] from 7th Jan 2011 on wards. please resolve this issue.
AHMEDABAD: Vivek Desai, 21, an electrical engineering student, was surprised when he got a missed call from Pakistan with the country code +92. When he called back, the person said he represented the service provider and wanted his personal details. He claimed Vivek had won Rs 25 lakh prize money in a mobile draw. That is when he realised the call was fishy and disconnected it.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has received numerous complaints from subscribers like Vivek who have been contacted by fraudsters phishing for personal details. Callers who return the missed call end up paying substantial extra charges and also get ensnared by fraudsters trying to gain access to the customer's personal details.

The Vodafone has launched 100 MB internet plan at Rs 200 and subsequently launched 1 GB plan at Rs 98. The 1 GB plan is available for everyone including the old customers. The old customers who come to know about it and call them, for them they change their rate plan to 1 GB. The customers who are not aware about 1 Gb plan and believe in their good faith that 100 MB is the best economical plan continues to pay higher amount.

Subsequently when one come to know about it and ask them to make a refund of excess amount paid they do admit that this is wrong but refuse to make a refund as their system does not permit it.

I fail to understand how can one jsutify a 100 MB plan at twice the price of 100 MB. The matter needs utmost attention so that telecom operator stops taking advantage of this oligopolistic market and continue to loote customers on ground of innocence.

                              Vodafone — cheating & ignorance

I purchased a handset(samsung sii) from vodafone store in fort around 25 days back. They promised me 1GBfree data(3G) per month for 6 months. Still they are not activating 3G network. They don't even entertain my complaints, instead they claim that I have already used up my internet balance. Till now I have not been able to use 3G network or video calls. When I called the call centre, the person said that he is unable to help and I need to visit vodafone store. I am losing my office time whenever I visit vodafone store and yet i am unable to get my problem solved

In the last para first sentence is needs to be read as I fail to understand how can one justify a 100 MB plan at twice the price of 1 GB.
I already appealed upto appealte level at your Company and though over the phone they have agreed in principal that what happened is wrong but can not give a refund as the system does not permit so. Its ridiculous and I have written to Trai.

I am too determined that come what may I will do my best to get a refund.

                                    Sir
My name is Dirar and I am a ported (from airtel) Vodafone customer in Kerala and my cell phone number is [protected]. My grievance is that the internet data allowance (balance) checking code (*111*6#) provided by Vodafone does not work on my sim .I have tried changing phones to check to see if there is anything wrong with my cell phone (GalaxyY gt S 5360) only to find that the problem lies in the sim and not in modems.

Sir, in order to make my grievance clearer to you, let me explain what a Vodafone customer is instructed to do to check internet data allowance (balance):

                                    Dial *111*6#

Then a window comes on with two options:
                                    1. Active Data Plans
                                    2. Usage Allowance (ie: balance)

And when I go for option ‘2’ I get this invariable message

‘We are unable to process your request. We regret the inconvenience caused to you’

Sir, I am a regular internet user, and after every session I have to check my internet data balance so that my call balance is not accidentally sacrificed.

Sir, I have been calling 198 of the Vodafone customer care for over a month now, and every time I am put through, I get the empty assurances that ‘my problem will be resolved in 48 working hours or I will be contacted to learn more about my problem or my number has been escalated’ (‘forwarded’ but to ‘whom?’ and ‘where?’)

Sir , I humbly request you to get my grievance redressed as early as possible
                                    Yours Faithfully
                                    Regards

Since a Vodafone customer care executive has provided me with a working alternative to check my data allowance (ie: send ‘DATABAL’, without quotes, to 111) I am dropping my complaint. My sincere thanks to this forum.

                                      Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

I am a customer of Vodafone postpaid mobile service for almost one year with two connections. One fine day I get this message on my galaxy Y phone "Your subscription for Vodafone TV All Channel pack has been renewed and Rs 50 has been deducted.Your next renewal date is[protected]. To cancel send CAN TV to 111/144."

I am conscious enough to know what to activate and what not to....but the customer care executive would not listen. He would say, I had activated it. In the online forum, I have been seeing many such complaints. It means that Vodafone has a company policy of cheating customers with their hard earned money by sending such smss regularly. For one or the other reason, I have been paying 50~100 rupees every month for such SMSs.

If Vodafone would not refund me my hard earned Rs. 50/- this month and would not stop harassing me with such SMSs from now on, I am thinking of porting to other service providers.

I want to give the company a chance to redeem themselves.
