Vodafone took a 1,500Rs advance from me and did not apply it to my bill.

The 1,500Rs advance was for new data plan I took in October.
It was supposed to cover the first 3 months of Nov, Dec and Jan.
I have a receipt for it.

In the Nov bill, I was charged the full 650Rs rental for data.
The advance was not applied.

I tried to resolve this at the Vodafone store (Thakur Village) on Dec 10th with my receipt.
Store manager Abhishek Arulkar was not very co-operative.
He told me that the rep that gave me this plan (Ankur) was asked to resign for offering invalid plans.
Told me that my data plan was not valid.
He did not apoligize/compensate or offer a refund.

After arguing with Abhishek, he told me he would give me a credit of 1,500Rs.
He put in a store request and gave me the request number.
Said credit would not apply to first bill.
So I had to pay the Nov bill in full, even though I paid an advance for it.

Dec bill came around and promised credit was not applied again.
I called Vodafone Care on Dec 28th to resolve this and spoke with supervisor Arif Sayyed.
Arif told me that the Vodafone store did nothing about my earlier store request of Dec 10th.

So I put in another request on Dec 28th via email to Vodafone Care with scanned copy of the receipt.
But nothing's been resolved yet.
I've added Appelate Authority and Nodal Officer in the email thread.

    PHONE No. [protected]

I bought Vodafone SIM on 20th December 2012 and it got activated in 1 day. I activated 3G on 22nd December 2012 for making video calls on
    it.

Then on 24th December 2012 i made a recharge of "Rs145" towards 2GB data plan, there wasn't any response immediately, so i checked data
balance thru *111*6*2# and also by sending sms "DATA BAL to 144" and got a reply that no data plan is active on my number. So, I called up
the paid customer service number and got a response that it will get activated in an hour. just after the call my 3G signal disappeared. so
i sent "ACT 3G to 144" and i waited for my data plan to get activated, but it didn't and there wasn't any response.

I made several repeated calls to the customer service number and after 24hrs i got a firm reply stating that, since i sent 3G ACT message, my
data plan for which i paid Rs145 got deactivated. I also went to the local Vodafone office and got the same reply, the customer care
personnel there were reluctant to address the issue. The response from "vodafonecare.[protected]@vodafone.com " was also the same.

Now, what kind of reply is that??, I want to browse on my mobile as well as make video calls, i don't need any 3G speeds for browsing. And
also "after a recharge of Rs145 i didn't get any message stating that my data plan is active or has been activated" and also when i requested
for 3G, i should have been informed that the existing data plan(if any) will be deactivated (Which most of the other Service Providers do, infact Airtel offers 2G gprs plan under 3G coverage, one can make video calls using 3G and use internet using 2G plan(at 2G speeds) simultaneously).

There should be a confirmation message or proper response or a message stating the outcome of an improper transaction, there should be some
kind of warning message-that the data plan if any is activated will be deactivated if moved to 3G. Simply cancelling the service without letting
the customer know the reason(which is meaningless) is a fraudulent practice.

In my case i was in 3G and then i made a recharge of Rs 145, recharge was successful but i DIDN'T GET any DATA PLAN ACTIVE MESSAGE
immediately, how in the hell i would know that sending 3G ACT message (to get back to 3G signal which disappeared mysteriously) will lead to
wastage of Rs 145, when in the first place i didn't get any message of data plan activation !!

I didn't get any message stating or warning me that "my 2G will be deactivated if i switch over to 3G" and also i didn't get any message confirming "2G data plan activation" immediately after the recharge of Rs 145,.."HOW IN THE HELL I WOULD KNOW THAT I WOULD BE LOSING Rs 145, WHEN IN THE FIRST PLACE I DIDN'T GET ANY MESSAGE CONFIRMING MY DATA PLAN ACTIVATION".

now without even using a BIT of data i have been charged Rs 145. what kind of system is that??

Vodafone — PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE & RESPONSE SYSTEM

    Hi All,
Like it happens to many Mumbaites, I suddenly started facing facing network issues in Malad mindspace area in Mumbai.
I logged several complaints with Vodafone for the same starting 23rd June.Apart from calling up customer care every night I also visited the customer care centre in Mulund at least three times & also wrote mails to nodal office Rajesh Shetty & Vodafone care.
After all the in vain efforts to get normal services, I decided to discontinue with the services. I requested the discontinuation of my number on the 14th of July. the number still remain active. Now even to get the number disconnected I call up customer care every day & have also visited customer care centre in Mulund but every time I get a new answer. one executive says 3 days, other one says 5 days & the store manager says 7 days. Is there any one who can give me a true answer. When we ask for phone number or mail Id for higher authority they do not provide the same.
Is there anyone who can look into this matter? Who is responsible for the billing that is going to be after the 14th of July that was when I requested my services to be disconnected? It is high time that TRAI places a compliance officer in thes telecom companies to monitor customer grievience issues.
vodafone is useless & we also try that all the SIm card from MSK line will be switch over to BPL .
    Namaste,

        Hi.
With deep regret i am writing the ignorance faced with vodafone karnataka.

I had been using vodafone since past 6 years ([protected]). As the ad claims i had delighted moments with it during the tenure.
The problem started since i have to go abroad (Australia).in july 2012 i left to australia by activating international roaming. I could get the service with australian network.
From the day one i started receiving call from unknown numbers, it was all for promotional offers. I attended those while international roaming and exhausted all my balance.
I always ensured that the sim is active and the spare phone is on since all my contact and bank details are associated wid this sim.
After couple of months i noticed that the sim has gone out of service all of sudden without any notice.
        I was totally distracted.

Complaining this to nodal office i got reply that the sim was inactive and henceforth they disconnected.
Mary was the concern person who contacted me and she promised that they will regenarate the same and provide me.

As per her instruction i visited vodafone store at whitefield road (Token# 104 dated 22/12/12)
I had gone through an embaracing situation when mr. Asif argued that it is the company policy and for him the connection is inactive (I cant understand the logic why the executive behaves so harshly and how the sim is not active even if i receive the message, reminding about how my balance drained as i told before).
Atlast he agreed to regenate the sim. For this he asked to wait for 4days.
I am put up at kerala and with lots of pain and struggle i travelled to bangalore for getting sim. Mr. Asif also denied to authorise a 3rd person for collecting the sim. I just walked down from the store.
It was a great injustice from vodafone karnataka. They dont even cared for the effort i took for travelling from kerala-bangalore.

Still i have the following questions unanswered
        1. Why vodafone assigns such front office staff like mr. Asif who dont even bothers to hear the customer voice?
        2. Why miss. Mary (Nodal office) insisted me to walk in to any store for regenerating the sim?
        3. The sim was active and i was receiving message. How it can be claimed that its inactive?
        4. Whether vodafone behaves the same with all international roaming customers?

        Thank you vodafone

Hi, I am a vodafone customer ( [protected]) for last 2 years. I am really afraid as why they are not at all responsive and kind enough to handle customer's hue and cry. I registered myself for DND (Do not Disturb) few months ago. I did not receive any calls/ sms for few months and now suddenly for the last 20-25 days I have started to receive 2-3 unsolicited commercial calls regularly. I don't think that Vodafone is following the guidelines that TRAI has issued for unwanted calls for all the telecom service providers. I still get Calls from Vodafone Servers. I have registered this complaint to Customer care executive more than twice and hope they will take any actions.

            Sir/madam

As my bill of vodafone was always very high compared to my uses in the postpaid plan, i wanted to convert it into the prepaid plan for which i was provided with a new sim card on 24 dec 2012 thereafter my services were not activated. I again visited the vodafone gallery on 26 dec 2012 to get my number activated. My number was activated after filing the complaint online but only for incoming calls. I have paid rs 350 for prepaid on 24 dec 2012 but continuously telling the amount i have is rs 0.0 valid upto sep 2015. My complaint through customer care number [protected] tells me there is some technical error but it is not got rectified till today i. E. 31 dec 2012.
            Kindly take the necessary action.
            Thanking you,

              Dear sir/Madam,
              My details are :-
              Name: jogeshwar gaurkhede
              Mobile no. +91 [protected]
I had activated net plan for internet service on my mobile from vodafone service provider & my mobile talk plan was for Rs 325/month. Credit limit for postpaid plan was also in range of Rs 800. But at the end of month I got a bill of Rs. 6800 approx. This is completely hilarious & non-understandable. I have done the settings in mobile as per instruction form customer care officer. I don't know what setting's they have told. At the end of month I got bill of 6800 approx. What is this? moreover after consuming more than certain limit data there is no intimation from vodafone service provider side that your plan limit is completed, I visited my login and found that my unbilled amount was showing nearly rs. 25000 approx., When I asked customer care officer regarding this, they only say it is due to internet activation. But don't know how it comes. And my regular bill which was nearly Rs 465/Month is increased to rs 6800.00 approx. In between the month I have asked customer care two times, that how much data I have consumed, they replied that they don't know & only after generation of bill they can tell.

Current status of my mobile no. Is that vodafone have completely discontinued my incoming/Outgoing facilities, internet services etc. i.e Completely blocked my mobile no. This is mental pain for me, I am suffering both commercially, financially and socially & vodafone is sole responsible for this.

The reason for this fault is at vodafone service provider end because of :-

              1) I have asked them to start internet service on my mobile for a certain plan, and they have told setting to me which is for expensive plan, so it's completely there fault because I didn't know anything about setting for activation of net on mobile. I have just followed there instruction.

              2) Even after asking for my bill amount, they haven't informed me giving excuse that only after bill generation they can tell.

              3) It is their fault they don't disclose the internet data usage and billing amount, and then they disconnected incoming/Outgoing calls and internet.

              4) only after activation of internet facilities the bill amount raises suddenly, what logic vodafone use for generating bill I don't know & than they expect customer should pay that amount when fault is at vodafone's end.

My question to vodafone is why wasn't I made aware that due to internet usage my bill is exceeding Rs 800 limit. And why they have given me bill of rs 6800 approx. When the max monthly limits is Rs. 800 for my mobile no.
In such a case what consumer to do? if this policy is to be followed, who would actually pay for it? it is my humble request to your department kindly look after the matter and take appropriate action against my bill.

My alternate mobile no. Is +91 [protected]

I want a complete reversal as it's not my fault. Please look into it andadvice. Your early co-operation is needed as I am facing mental and financial disturbance due to this.

Note: I have submitted same complain in grahak seva portal (http://www.grahakseva.com/complaints, complaint no. 123921) and also in cunsumer forum.

Eight Nodal Dockets, Only one complaint - Harassment from UNKNOWN CALLER.
Strong resolution to save the guilty is seen. Further promotion of such crimes is also understood.
Till date neither the harassing caller's i-d given nor deactivated.
Only asking me to run from police to court for trouble originating from their end spending huge time and money while they sit and count their cash in A/C cabins.

By privacy policy if they protect the culprits then how do/can sell our/my number to registered tele-marketers, will it not tantamount to breach of privacy policy..?

So by anyway and every-way asking me/us to go to police and court for years to find and fix the culprit hiding behind your CLIR mask is highly-unfair. At-least after reporting his misdeed the culprit must be exposed or you will become the party to the crime.

This should also be viewed in the current crime against women.
Thus either -CLIR- should be completely done away-with or as easy online facility be provided to track these criminals. Asking the victim to go to police will be harsh if the victim is a lady as in India no body wishes to go to police and that too lady will never go for feeling of shame and loss of dignity.
Or latest an arrangement like -DND start-0 to 1909- should be devised to disallow calls from CLIR harassing numbers.
No response seen from Vodafone only adding weight to my allegation and charges.

Never trust what a service person says. Vodafone sold me a good deal with a promise to switch to my desired service 2 months later. I bought a 2 month Rs. 1500 4GB plan for my phone and data card which was supposed to be switched back to Rs. 250 1GB plan. The service guy never switched the plan and I lost all the savings and ended up paying more including all the frustration of visiting the Vodafone outlet 3 times to ensure they indeed did make the change. Ask them for a reference # else the service guy will cheat you, I think they are trained to cheat :-). I am ready to switch all my services, 2 phones and a data card to another provider. The funny part is they randomly call you (they are asked to) to find out is the client happy and when you start complaining they pretend to help you and as soon as you ask for a reference number, they will hang up on you :-). A guy by name Kiran called me 15 minutes ago and he did exactly that, hung up on me after making me wait for 5 minutes pretending to give me a reference #. I actually suspect all mobile service providers except Tata (I am assuming) are taking advantage of large and a growing Indian economy as frustrated clients don't make any difference. As they say every dog has its day and theirs will come. Please keep up with complaints to expose Vodafone.

Vodafone — poor service and poor website

I live in America and travel to Italy 1/year. I have been a Vodafone client for the past 15 years and to date the Vodafone website has not updated its old method of recharging online one's cell phone. So, when I am in America for 6 months and my "scheda" is out of money, the Vodafone website offers ZERO OPTIONS FOR RECHARGING YOUR CELL PHONE FROM ABROAD. I' m amazed that this company is still living in the past when it comes to technology. Also, when I call Italy to speak with a Vodafone operator, they speak with a poor attitude: they are very abrupt, rude and they hang up.

Most Vodafone phone operators are quite uneducated; poorly trained.

I't appears I am finally going to switch over to "WIND". I hear they are much more efficient in this regard.

vodafone poor service — change of ownership

Pathetic service of Vodafone for even corporate customer, people in vodafone customer care donot know what for customer is requesting, I have submitted my change of ownership documents last month 15/11/2010 at opp passport office branch after 25 days still it is pending, I have visited thrice to the office and even lodged complaint in their web site " Happy to Help" no action has been taken, when i visited the office last guy sitting there told me that documents sent on 25/11/2010 but for verification and not change of ownership when i asked why i will NOC from the company he checked and told i am helpless again you get the document.

Its Pathetic people in vodafone service centers

                            Hi All,

This is to bring in notice to you that, the mobile service provider (Vodafone) failed once again to provide the valuable service to the customers. Here is the reason for that, i have recharged my mobile with 51/- through online banking pre-paid recharge.

Before recharging my mobile, i have checked with the available full talk time recharges in Vodafone by dialing *111#, where in at option 8 Best Offer, it was listed as below.
                            1. 222 RC
                            2. 51 RC
                            3. 52 RC.

So as per the above list, i have chosen 51 RC and recharged through bank network online recharge. But unfortunately i have not received the recharge amount, so later on i have recharged with 222 RC through a retailer than i got this 222 recharge amount.

When i spoke with the Vodafone customer care executive regarding the 51RC which i have recharged in the morning. They said that there is no such RC available in Vodafone, If there is no such recharge available in Vodafone why that 51RC is listed in the Best Offer ???

I have asked them to return back my 51 Rupees since it is not there, than the customer care executive said that i have to wait for 4 days to get back that amount credited in to my account. this is very ridiculous. I will not wait for even 10 minutes also.

Please lodge a compliant on the Mobile Service Provider (Vodafone) and do the needful.

                            Thanks,
                            Nagaraj.

Thakur Village, Vodafone gallery representative – Wasim says Vodafone call centre people may have lied to you and provided false information. Very interesting indeed!!!

My dad recently ported in to Vodafone and is already regretting his decision. A platinum customer with Loop Mobile earlier with a credit limit of Rs. 7,000/- is already facing nightmares with Vodafone guys. His all-India ISD calling has not been activated yet despite repeated assurances from Vodafone call centre guys. I have already made 4 calls and 2 visits to Vodafone gallery. When I visited the gallery 2 weeks back, I was told that ISD activation would happen only after physical verification which would happen in 2-3 days max. It took 8 days for the Vodafone representative to come home for the PV. This happened on Saturday. Post this, he mentioned that all we need to do is now send an SMS saying ACT ISD to 111 on Monday and the service will be activated. This did not happen. I then called the call center and spoke to Ashraf on the phone on December 24th about the same. He started telling me about some deposit that needs to be paid for the activation of ISD – something that NOBODY had mentioned to us before. I then insisted that I wish to speak to his supervisor which he very reluctantly connected me to. Unfortunately, I do not recall his name. But after listening to the entire case, he said he has forwarded a request for the activation of the same and it will be done in 4 hours max. It did not happen. On 25th December I called again and spoke to an executive, reciting the complete story again. At the end of the conversation after telling him that I will need to think about porting out, he assured me that the activation will be done. But this was not done again. On December 26th, I called again and spoke to Nadeem who said that since the PV process was still on it had not got activated. My Dad would receive an SMS by 27th around 4.00pm saying that PV process and credit verification process has been completed, post which I can send the SMS – ACT ISD to 111 and it will get activated within 4 hours without any deposit. This again did not happen. Hence, I visited the Vodafone gallery at Thakur Village today around 4.00pm and met up with this gentleman Wasim who very patiently listened to my story and recited the same words – there is a deposit that needs to be paid. When I told him about the repeated assurances that I was given by the call centre executives and asked him if they were lying, he says, “Yes”. He also says with absolute arrogance and insensitivity that there is no point arguing over the same thing again and again and that he would not be able to help. So there goes your tagline of ‘HAPPY TO HELP’ in the dustbin.

I personally have a relationship with Vodafone as a customer since 2001. But if this attitude of Vodafone representatives continue, even I will need to start thinking about porting out.

I had taken a Data Card from M/s. Vodafone Mobile serivice vide no. [protected]. The said was for optional usage incase of emergency as i already have a Black Berry were in I have the net service.

In the first month the card was not at all working and i received a bill for the same of Rs.250/- or so after complaint the same was discounted in the second month again i reveived a bill of Rs.850/- I requested them to discontinue the same as the bill was coming on a higher side without much usage or else give me a 2GB usage at Rs.99/- per month if not to discontinue the no.

The same was forwarded for approval by the agency though which i had taken the connection. In the time being i took a wired connection for the net at home and requested them to discontinue the no. mentioned above. For the next month i had the card kept in my office drawer and after a month I received a bill of Rs.4600/- for the usage. I wrote to vodafone and fwd them the msg send for discontinuation.

Inspite of repeated reminders they did not give me a positive reply and always said that the usage was there. I told them that how can it be used when its in locker, they gave me excuses like you must have logged in and must have not logged off so the usage is there.

On 26th December I received a call from one of the agents of Vodafone ([protected]) , who has used unwanted faulty language on the phone. I want to know what legal action can be taken against them.

Await your response at the earliest.

                                  Thanks & Regards

                                      Address: Karnataka

I sent the following mail to 'nodal.[protected]@vodafone.com'

I received an SMS today that informed me that some “Big Fat Free Store” service had been activated on my Vodafone connection and I was being billed INR 35 per week. Worst of all, it is a service that is renewed automatically.

I failed to understand how this service was activated on my connection. When I called Vodafone customer care to check if it was some kind of spam SMS, one Mr. Shreesha attended my call (call reference number:[protected]. I was utterly disappointed by the way Mr. Shreesha handled my call. He was outright rude and treated me as if I was a criminal for having activated the service myself and now complaining about it.

His mannerisms were stinking of a very malicious business practice being followed by your company. Curiously, I was informed that “by mistake” I would have clicked on some ad on my touch screen phone. This is clearly a case of connivance of your organization with third-party vendors to loot your customers. I raise a serious objection to such conduct on your part.

I also hereby wish to inform you that if the mentioned amount of INR 70 appears in my next bill, I would not be able to pay that bill. Hence, please ensure that this is not included in the next bill such that I am able to make timely payment of the bill.

                                        Hello
My name is Reuel and i was a Vodafone postpaid customer .... i used to get huge bills ...so i went to get my no changed to prepaid ..they made me dance like a fool and i atlas got it converted .... i was so angry with their services i went and got it converted 2 days before my next bill cycle so that they don't charge me again .. they told me a un-billed amount of something around 680 or something and i paid 700 and told them to clear it out ... they then made me pay 290 saying it was a cancellation fee which was bullish ... it was just a prepaid recharge .. so that that guy sitting at the store can make a fool out o[censored]s ..i was even ok with that ... now after 3 months i get a message to pay 290 .. so i send a complain mail to Vodafone but they do nothing .. they just made some idiotic person working for them call me up and tell me to pay the amount ... this is injustice done to people like us... please please please do something about this ... contact me on this email - [protected]@gmail.com
