Respected Sir/Madam,

My Self Abhishek Siaria, I am using Vodafone mobile service provider and my complaint is about Unrequested service activation by Vodafone.

Several times they have activated unrequested services like Jobs alert etc. on my mobile number ([protected]) for that I have been charged and balance has been deduct from my mobile account. When I called to customer care, they said that "You have activated this service" but this is totally false.

I request you to please take strong action against them as they are cheating their customer.

Vodafone — subscription of unrequested services

from the past 1 month my balance is getting detucted for subscription of vodafone services even though i haven't subscribed for any one of them.......almost 100 rs have been deducted for three services that weren't requested by me. when i spoke to the customer care, they start giving vague answers and say that nothing can be done now!!! this providing utter inconvinience to me because sometimes my balance is low....n then suddenly 30 or 50 rs get deducted from nowhere!!!

Vodafone — alert services.

This is regarding the job alert services on my vodafone mobile [protected]. I have informed vodafone customer care 4-5 months before that I am not interested in Job alert service & want the same to be disconnected. They took my request & mentioned that for running month I should pay the charges & the same will be disconnected from next billing cycle.

At the same time I have marked an email also to customer care & they confirmed that they have disconnected the service.

As the same didn't happen, I went to vodafone outlet around 2 months before at barakhamba metro station & the representative sent two three messages from my mobile & said the disconnection is done.

But the service is still active till date even after so many reminders. Although the money is not huge but as my bill payment is made by the company, I have to disconnect this service. I am so busy with my Job that now I don't have time to take any further action.

Till date I have made the complete bill payment except these job alert monthly charges, Now I am getting so many harresing calls from vodafone to make the payment.

I am unable to understand when I am not using the services, why should I pay.

I need immediate action from concerned person so that the matter get solved.

I had used a reliance sim [protected]. on dt.[protected] company had deducted Rs.20/- from my account UN authorized, after that he has blocked costumer care number from my number, when i complain from other sim consumer reply to complain from this no. after that i apply for portability code but he had not provide me protability code and block my my sim temporarily.

    I m Hriday Ranjan Chowdhury from Haridwar (UK). I am a vodafone customer (having Phone no-[protected]), without any information, Rs. 30/- has been deducted for Callertune from my balance on date around 25or 26 Dec-2011. Even I did not send any request for caller tune activation. Caller tune has been activated automatically in my above number.This happened second time with me, I had mailed earlier for the same three months back.
    Plz revert the deducted amount to my vodafone account as soon as possible and cancel Caller tune immediately.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to process a reversal for the charges as the service was used for one month.     For Pre-paid, they always activate the caller tune without confirmation. It happened with me also.

      On 26th of January 2012, I recharged my prepaid with 150Rs., then i had balance over 150Rs including my first balance too, after that I sent request to activate VL96 at 3:12pm, i got first message informing me please wait for our confirmation sms at 3:25pm, after the request sent i should have balance of about 60Rs, and at 3:27pm i received message "Your Data pack is active now, valid upto 25.02.2012 00:00:00 and balance: 1024 MB free. Thereafter 10p/10kb will be charged.

      Now, after getting this message i started using my plan in my mobile, but suddenly after few mins, all stopped working including my FREE SMS, gprs is deactivated all they had stopped, then i checked my balance, and it was zero (0) unbelievable, i even didnt make any calls which would use out my all balance, so i contacted three times to vodafone care people about the issue, each time each person was just keeping me on hold and trying to check things, but nowhere things were found, finally they just made a service request and told me that i will get response by 30th Jan 2012 06:00pm Monday, But till date no response from them, its now 2nd Feb 2012 9:52pm and still waiting, is this the one type of just grabing money from very old client of vodafone self? if they dont want users like us, i wont mind to leave it, dont know how many of people would have similar or different issues with them, they just theft my remaining balance??

        I Jyoti Dhunawala primary holder of Vodafone [protected] and having an add on vodafone no. [protected] have been receiving faulty bill on my addon no. [protected] since Oct/Nov/Dec 2011. We have been charged towards the services which we have not availed /utilised.

        Faulty charges in the bill:
        1/ Missed call Alert not activated
        2/ Charged for, 3G/2G which is nor active nor subscribed . And vodafone system showing usage on my number.
        3/ International roaming been deactivated and charged for a non active service.

        We have send several mails for reversal of charges to various vodafone deptts and have personally visited to the vodafone center at 4 Bunglow but we have any proper response. They told me they have suspended the addon no and told to give a return application for disconnection of the said no. [protected] which i have already given.

        Further, on 30th January, 2012 my outgoing calls & sms facility on my primary no was deactived by vodafone without prior notice. Upon enquiring it was inform that there is a technical problem and will be resolved within 2 hours. After 2 hours it was still not activated. Again on enquiring I was told that due to non payment of my add on vodofone no. [protected] it has be deactivated. Here I wish to mentioned that my entire bill till date against the primary no. [protected] is cleared and has zero balance. From last 2 days my outgoing is disconnected and they insist that they will not activate till the entire payment is paid against the addon no.

        I humbly request you to kindly help me to sort of this issue on the above for reversing the chargers on my addon no. [protected] and to activate my outgoing/sms facility on my primary no. [protected] immediately.

          I am vodafone customer and I have activated DND service 4 times and last activated in[protected], after that i got message "Hello! Thank you for interacting with Vodafone. Your service registration number is [protected]. Your query shall be responded by Thursday 02-Feb-12 01:07p.m." but till date DND service is not activated,

          i have activated DND(do not disturib) for more than two months, still i am receiving sale and promotion call from the vodafone, For a new connection and to activated caller tune.my mobile number:[protected].

But iam Not find any resultstill now, On 14 th feb again i got a promo call from VODAFONE at 7 pm I call 1909 and asked about that they had given me a new complint number & resolution time for another 20 days and On 15 I got an promo SMS frm Vodafonre they keep on sending me promo SMS & this unwanted call Inspite of my DND activated ,So after rasing so many Complaints I did not find any resolution And i Already sent mail to the nodal officer also ,So Kindly Request to Look into this complaint & compazsation should be paid from VODAFONE.

          Vodafone — DND not activated even after 45 days

          I have requested to activate the DND on January 5th, 2010 and got the confirmation mail subjected "Your Do Not Disturb request has been received". In the mail, it was mentioned that it may take around 45 days to activate the same.
          Now, it is more than 75 days and still they have not activated DND.

          Vodafone — Getting Promotional SMS even after registered for DND

          I am registered for DND service from years now. Still i am getting 3-4 promotional msgs. When i called Customer care they asked me to dial and log a compliant at 1909, when i dialed 1909 they asked me to dial 198. When i dialed 198 they again asked me dial 1909 and 1909 is routing.

          Where ever we dial they give other no. I have wasted hours only to log a compliant. Vodafone is not at all interested in doing anything related to same.


          Can some one help on this.
          In spite of requesting M/s Vodafone not to send unsolicited SMS messages to my cell phone several times, unwanted messages especially from "Washi" (related to M/s Vodafone themselves- these messages convey the advantages of various products of theirs) keep coming. On an average 20 messages are received a day. I request M/s Vodafone to kindly oblige me by not allowing unsolicited messages from being sent to me forcefully.

          My DND complaint number is DND[#1456235] I was told by a certain Priyanka from Vodafone Tel No. [protected] on 07.11.2012 at 1.25 pm that since I cannot furnish the telephone number from which the messages originate, M/s Vodafone cannot register a complaint presently. I am getting around 40 messages from WASHI daily. All the messages exhort the benefits of various schemes of Vodafone. The end of the message shows the name of the sender as WASHI (not available). If I try to reply to the message, I am unsuccessful as there is no number.

          Please put an end to my misery, M/s Vodafone!

          I am a Vodafone customer from past 10 years. I bought this number ([protected]) in 2010, and I am receiving 20+ SMS per day starting from that date. I am very fed up with the services that Vodafone provides me. No complain is taken seriously, even customer care department has no answer to my complains. I have visited Vodafone stores but even they can't help me.

          I cant complain for 20 SMS everyday, I dont have that much time to fill a form for every in this city who is spamming.

          Also I haven't received any reply for my emails. After this sadly I shall report in consumer court.
          I have all the screen shots of prompts Vodafone website generate telling me that your complain will be shortly taken into considerations.


          Very unhappy with service.

              To Vodafone.

              I have Vodafone fixed line telephone + Broadband and for several months I have been unable to send mail on broadband with more that one attachment, I have explained this to Vodafone and upgraded my service in case this was a problem and confirmed with them at their Tema Branch office that this was the correct service I required in order to send messages as required by my company. I have again complained to them but no action has been taken and I still cannot send messages with multiple attachments and have to use another service provider for this.

              Second complaint. My Office telephone which is indicated on all my correspondence and advertising has not been working now for more than 3 Months. I again complained to Vodafone many times and yesterday after the phone is giving a message that it has been cut even though my account is well in credit as confirmed by them. I was told they would "WORK ON IT" Nothing has been done to date as normal and this gives me a serious problem as I may be losing business through this

              I am seriously disappointed with them as I thought they were a worldwide reputable service provider

                Every day they are charging me rs 1.35p per day sms rent, (M no [protected])it is 36 pack (sms is free ) today i have send 102 sms, for this they have charged me 102 Rs, i have contect customer care, no reply and also no refund, they have done many time to me,

                I wonder whether I am addressing the right person regarding my not getting the appropriate services from a customer Service Centre of your repute organisation! As a matter of fact, lI have had subscribed twice in response of your tariff announcement viz., (i) paid an amount of Rs. 53/ to avail of the call rates @ 0.49 P and (ii) an amount of Rs. 63/ to avail of the tariff @ 1P and 2P per second. The later subscription was made on 23rd Nov. To my utter surprise, I find that none of the rates has been given effect to my Moble No. [protected], till date.

                I have had many a times tried your Customer Services only to hear that due to jammed network they could not be connected, prompting with the advice to try later, continuously for more than 4/5 days, till I finally had to withdraw trying; regretful - is it not.

                I am not sure, whether my this endeavour would also yield any resultl, but the story of Rober Bruce is still read widely.

                  Hello sir,

                  I have been using vadafone network from past 10 years, From past 3 months(nov-2011,dec-2011,jan-2012) i am getting the bill amount close to 1000+, usually i get the bill amount around 450 to 600.

                  When i enquired with the CC people say that i have activated the vadafone live, I thought may be by mistake i have pressed some keys and it might be activated, so for the first month i paid the bill amount and asked them to disable the vadafone live, Now on the second month when i got the bill i saw that the vadafone live was disabled and i was happy to see that, Suddenly in the 3rd month a CC person called me and asked whether i need the vadafone live service, i clearly said not to enable any service. But when i recevied the 3rd month bill i see 1055 Rs has been charged for live service,
                  I am not sure how can this be possible without configuring the settings on my mobile. When i asked the same thing to CC person , he says " it gets
                  activated automatically on android phone, so we need to be checking it every time". vadfone is totally cheating people.

                  When we try to deactivate any service they are so many steps to go through, and before deactivating the services they asks for user confirmation for deactivating the service, But for activating the service the user is never prompted are alerted they just activate the service and charge the users for the service they have not used.

                  Please let me know how can i go ahead and file a complaint against these people. please answer and do the needful.

                  I have already paid the bill 3 times for vadafone live service even though i have not used are activated the service, But now i cant tolerate it any more.

                  I subscribed for a zero rental plan, but they have charged me Rs.49/-
                  I clearly mentioned to the associate i was looking for a zero rental. He asked me to send a sms (i really don't remember and i ahve not it saved), and i did.

                  I am trying to raise a complaint, but no one is registering the complaint in customer care.
                  They are giving all reasons possible like system is down, call after 24 hrs; other reason being your bill is not showing in our system, however i have my hardcopy in my hand. I had to ask if i am talking to vodafone and if they did generate my bill then how come they dont have it.

                  Please help me in this regard.

                  How can you activate the services without my notification, and how will i get the charges of 1055 Rs without using the service, since i did not know the service is activated. i have been to CC to manually disable this service inspite of that it gets activated again in and again withut any notification saying the service is activated, I am not going to pay anything for the service i have not requested or used for. i know that you people are doing this wantedly since the plan i hold is unlimited plan. i will take it forward to consumer court.

                    I am a vodafone prepaid card user. For the last few days, I have observed that the balance in my account is getting reduced drastically. This reduction is much more than my actual usage.
                    When I called their customer care, they said that it was because of my data usage. In fact, I have not used any data or GPRS services. Then, I deactivated all data connections in my phone.
                    In spite of this, I am still observing that the balance gets reduced inexplicably. Vodafone is cheating its customers. When I ask for an itemised statement, they say that it will cost Rs.49/- for 1 month bill. This is ridiculous! Vodafone is doing a scam and cheating millions of customers all over India.
                    How can I fight these cheaters and make them pay for their fraud? Pls advise

                    Prepaid — amount reduction from account

                    Respected Sir/Madam,

                    I'm Sivasankar.P .I'm using AIRTEL prepaid mobile network. Past two weeks my balnce is reduced with out using of Internet. Which means if i'm recharging my account means they where taking money and they responding are replying like this "thank you for downloading model anim69 from airtel. you have been charged Rs.15. from 54321 ( It happens whole two weeks)." for this i had complaint more than 10 times to the concerned customer care. but they blamed me as that i used the internet like this. regarding this i had deactivated those all services regarding the browsing. Actually now also i had sent request to deactivate those services and they are deactivated now itself. but again they charged like the same .they are sending some reference numbers and they told that within the particular period of time we will rectify your problem like this.

                    But they are really never considered my complaint and they won't refund my amount.

                    Due to this i had sufferred mentally .If due to any urgency i had recharged my account means they were taking like this means what can i do .If the urgency is for saving a life means how it is possible to save the life if it happens like this.?

                    For this i need a judgement to rectify these problem and also i need the money back. Please consider my complaint as a point of critical situation or struggled for saving a life.

                    Prepaid connection — my account balance is getting reduced without any usage

                    I am having prepaid connection [protected]. The recharge of my card has been done some 2 days back with 222 with with 100%. I have not made any calls from my mobile but today to my surprise the balnce came down to Rs.167.00. May I have the details of the list of the calls made from my card. Otherwise i may have to come to a conclusion that Airtel is cheating its long outstanding customers like this.

                    Vodafone — Vodafone prepaid balance is reduced abruptly.

                    Hi,

                    I recharged my Vodafone number with amount of Rs351 (full talktime) on 26thSep2011, and got the message as Recharge successful. Talktime is Rs351. Then it was written that my account balance after recharge is Rs35.1.
                    The same thing happened again when I recharged on 29thSep2011, and this time after successful recharge my balance shown was Rs34.68. So after a whole lot of confusion I called the Complaint section (198) of vodafone. When I told them my problem, and asked them to check my balance, they told they don't have the facility to check the balance and gave me some lame excuses that the amount was cut due to internet usage, as shown by there system. I tried to explain him that the recharge successful message itself told that "recharged with Rs351 and Balance is Rs35.1". So where in the world internet is comming in between.

                    SO I have 2 issues to complain:
                    1) Why is my balance auto reduced, even without any usage, and without any warning?
                    2) Why the customer care is so less equipped? Is is just to show that vodafone has a customer care, inspite of it not caring about the customers.

                    they don't even deserve to have the punchline "happy to help "

                    from past 2 months, more than 300rs has been reduced from my account though i have the blackberry unlimited for 399 monthly !!

                    what the hell are the vodafone people up to ?!?!?!?

                    i have complained so many times but there is no measure taken from the Vodafone side at all !!
                    really wish that vodafone LOSES all its blackberry users and vodafone is a LOSER !!

                        I was using a Vodafone postpaid connection with the number [protected] for many years. I never defaulted in paying bills during my usage and even made payment in advance also when I intended to go out of station. But recently, when it was happened delay to pay my bill for some days due to some unforeseen reasons, I was disturbed to make outgoing calls. After sometime when I was in a tour I replied a customer care person on his query of delay that I am going to settle bill next day. Immediately after the conversation with that person my outgoing and incoming calls were barred. This displeased action of Vodafone against an important customer whose bills sometimes exceeds 2000 was unfair. When I back home I just rushed to the nearby Vodafone store to pay outstanding as well as current bills and to migrate my postpaid to prepaid, lest this type of action which would deface the personality of the customer may be repeated in future if a customer sometimes become a little bit careless for a while as long as he is a Vodafone postpaid customer.
                        When I was migrated to prepaid last month, again some other problem came in. Without any reason an amount of more than 50 rupees deducted in one early morning from my recharged prepaid account. When I approached the customer care a couple of times they were unable to clarify the reason for what it was deducted when I was not even activated GPRS settings in this prepaid connection. On their advice when I tried to send sms to the given number also failed to get details. A couple of weeks ago when I was in a trip my number is disconnected and I was so suffered on inability to connect the people during my journey. After returning to station I rushed to the Tirur Vodafone Store. They checked my account and told me everything is fine as per record and asked me to wait for some hours to activate it again after they do something. In these circumstances I gave request to port my prepaid account from Vodafone to some other provider. That(VL381965) has been rejected by Vodafone saying due to the number or range have been connected for less than 90 days. I am using this number for many years but as postpaid and the range, if Vodafone means the place o[censored]sage, is also same for years. Now I experience a serious problem that Vodafone is sending notifications of Quiz and other items many in every minutes which is deducting charges by touching accidentally in OK button of hand set or by mishandling with the children. I feel that this is because of disposition of Vodafone to a customer who migrates postpaid to prepaid and now requesting for porting to some other provider, whatever may be the reason. But this type of mischief caused me to think for porting my other Vodafone numbers also to other Provider. Now I realize a Vodafone postpaid is a money eater in my case when I experience a larger amount is saved with the Vodafone prepaid, even when my postpaid tariff 20 paise /minute V to V where as prepaid is more than 60 paise/minute. I request the Vodafone to stop stealing money in this way from innocent customers. I strongly advice Vodafone to discontinue sending any unwanted notifications/quiz items or messages to my number.

                          I have a Post paid connection with vodafone mobile service providers. I had requested them to change my billing cycle a number of tI'mes so that my due date is the 01st of every month as I get my wages . They asked me to visit the store,when i did i was been refused and asked to contact the call center. I called and again they guided me to the store. its been more than a year now and my bill date and due date is still the 23rd when i cant pay the bill on the due date and then vodafone charges me a late payment fee of INR 99.99 every month . I was patient and kept paying this late fee.At the tI'me of taking this connection I was told I could change my bill cycle as per the convenience and now under the name of Corporate policy I'm being ripped off every month for late payment. also after the due date is crossed an automated machine gives a reminder on each and every call due to which in tI'mes of emergency it is difficult to contact anyone, after complaining about this I was again refused any help.I spoke to Sameer Jadhav,Dhanaraj shetty(Team leader from vodafone) and they directly refused any help.
                          I have not got any resolution as yet. looking forward to a positive reply

                            i am solomon having a vodafone pre-paid no: [protected] , since few months i am using internet, on 23/01/2012 at 02:03 AM i received a sms from vt-vodafone which states as follows " hello,you had subscribed for auto renewal on bonus98 offering 1gb data free for 30 days. bonus98 has been activated and Rs98 debited from your a/c."
                            and i continued to use net.after few days around rs 600/- had been detected from my a/c for using net,and after every use i wasn't informed about the detection ,i feel i am cheated ,sir please help me to get the money back ,as i am in roaming i had to face many problem and stress

                                  I am using vodafone postpaid from last 1 yr on my iPhone withe GPRS 99 rs unlimited data plan. i upgraded my iPhone ISO version to 5 on 8the Jan 2012. on 13the Jan i got call from vodafone saying your bill amount is 3200 i asked why my bill showing that much and she said you are using iPhone data plan on your phone but i never asked for iPhone data plan to activate on my iPhone on same note i asked her to stop data plan service ASAP. everyday i called up vodafone for stop service because everyday bill amount exceeds rapidly. On 25 Jan my bill generated and its showing amount 15500 rs. I called up vodafone for explanation but they are unable to explain me my usages and they stopped my outgoing call service.

                                      I bought a vodafone prepaid number [protected] in the middle of 2007 and has been actively using it (my monthly bills were always around 900 inr). The sim was issued on the name of vineet khandelwal (my flatmate at delhi college of engineering, new delhi)

                                      in october, 2010, I moved to singapore and I was using my number on international roaming to receive call and sms from india.

                                      Last time, I DID a recharge of around inr 1000 during march, 2011 (holi time) (with a one year validity) and I received sms on this number till august,2011

                                      but I recently found out that my number has been issued to some other customer as a post paid number and I am willing to get my number back

                                      since,
                                      1. The validity of the sim was life long
                                      2. There was a balance of around 200-300 inr with a validity till march, 2012
                                      3. I have been actively receiving sms on international roaming till august, 2011

                                      I strongly believe that my number should not be issued to another person and I should get my number back

                                      I am really not ready to compromise on this number. I have been using this number for last 5 years. I cann't give it up.

                                        I belong to the state of Punjab, District Gurdaspur as mentioned above. My complaint is against the employees of Vodafone Care Centre which is located in the city, Batala, Distt. Gurdaspur. I faced with the misbehavior and harassment by the employees of the Company.

                                        Here, It is brought to your knowledge that I am seeking for a SIM. I opted the sim of Vodafone Company and visit Vodafone store which is situated at Lakker Mandi, Batala. When I met (11.30 A.M.) with the employees of the company, they said me concerned employee is not here. So we can not issue a sim to you. You should come after 3-4 hours and concern employee will issue sim to you. On the same day, I again (second time) visited (4.30 P.M.) the store for purchasing the sim but I again got same answer as above said that he did not come till now. Purchasing of sim is very important for me. I did harsh. I think, if concern employee is out of the store then next competent employee should be engaged by the company. Please tell me you take any action on this complaint or not?
