This is to inform you that I am currently having a post paid connection no. [protected] of Talk Rs.299/- Hello Monthly Plan and I am regularly paying my mobile bill before last date. As mentioned in the above subject, the problem is that:-

1. Vodafone gave me Complimentary BlackBerry services of Rs.599/- per month free-of-cost on 29.07.2011 for One Month Only after my telephonic consent to a Female Customer Care Executive of Vodafone.
2. Vodafone made me a call in the morning of 25.08.2011 and asked me to continue BlackBerry services on my mobile number with cost and I gave my telephonic consent to continue BlackBerry Plan of Rs.299/- per month and Vodafone activated this plan on my BlackBerry phone on the same day.
3. In the evening of 25.08.2011 I made a call to the Vodafone Care number 111 to pointing out my problem of NOT WORKING my BlackBerry Services as I was unable to access my pre-activated 4 e-mail account as well as was unable to send and receive e-mails through my BlackBerry mobile phone and that time a male customer care executive told me that he is refreshing my e-mail addresses and after 5 minutes you can access your E-mail accounts as well all can be able to send and receive e-mails through my BlackBerry handset by doing a Hard Boot activity on my BlackBerry mobile phone. And I did the same but I the problem was not solved.
4. From 25.08.2011 to 07.09.2011 I made several phone calls (more than 60 calls) from my Mobile phone to Vodafone Care number 111 and Mr. Imran (Relationship Manager) on his number [protected] and repeatedly told them about NOT WORKING OF VODAFONE BLACKBERRY SERVICES on my mobile number [protected] but surprisingly none of them was able to solve my this problem..!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. After getting frustrated in these 14 days from Vodafone I made a request to immediately remove BlackBerry Services from my mobile number [protected] to Mr. Imran (Relationship Manager, Vodafone) during our telephonic conversation on his mobile number [protected] on 07.09.2011.
6. After having the worst experience, I got my mobile bill through e-mail containing UNLAWFUL AND WRONG MONTHLY CHARGES AGAINST BLACKBERRY PROSUMER LITE PLAN AS GIVEN BELOW:-
FROM 25.08.2011 TO 27.08.2011 = 28.94
FROM 28.08.2011 TO 27.09.2011 = 299.00
BLACKBERRY FROM VF = 15.45
TOTAL = 343.39
7. It is requested you to deduct these Unlawful and Wrong Rs.343.39 from my Current Bill of Rs.1407.03 and issue me a Fresh Bill sothat I can pay Right Dues of my mobile bill no. [protected] of billing period 28.07.2011 to 27.08.2011 against my mobile number [protected].

An early action in the matter is requested.

mobile services — Services continued after 5 years of regular payment

Its very painful that Airtel is stopped outgoing on the above number after 5 years of service without any fault of ours. We do not even know what is the reason behind it? We got one call that you need the documents again, we had requested that please send a written request so that we can send the request but looks like that you just do not care and when I called at 121, they refused to send the written request

      Hi,
I would like to draw your attention for poor network of Vodafone at HAL-Korwa Township.

It is very trouble to find network of Vodafone in township outside the room or inside.
You people are advertise Vodafone like Hero in Mobile Communication, but as per our township people Vodafone is worst network. The person who had Vodafone SIM, they purchase one addition SIM for network may be of BSNL or Airtel.

I had complain along with my friend, many time to Vodafone customer-care (which is very had to connect)from 2009 onward but till now network is same , no improvement has done. You people are spending lot of money for advertisement, do something for poor networking.

It is my request look into the poor networking of Vodafone. In our township 1200 family are living, you should think of this.

I have received missed call from +[protected] on my phone No. [protected] , When i called back the person on the other side started off saying that " Your Vodafone number has been selected and you have won a lottery of Rs 25 Lakhs".. I immediately hung up the call as i understood that it was a SCAM call.

After searching on the internet i found out that the call was from PAKISTAN.

I am surprised as to how Vodafone can share sensitive information like telephone numbers to someone or some company in PAKISTAN.

I would like Vodafone to look into the matter immediately and make sure that this kind of information is not shared with any third party and too especially in PAKISTAN!!!

          Hi,

Myself Kunal I too received miss call from [protected]. When call back on the no. person spoke with me in Hindi & said same thing that you have won 25 lacs from Vodafone & he gave me another no [protected] & asked to call on that no to register for the lottery amount.

It is serious issue if these calls are coming from Pakistan as such kind of phone calls can create problems & may show wrong linkups with such kind of peoples.

          Some action must be taken.

          Regards,
          Kunal Rawal

Subject: - Complaint regarding excess charging of amount for the month Jun-July 2011 as well as breaking of the mobile phone by vodafone staff @ Mulund (W) branch (Vasant Oscar location)
            Dear Vodafone team,
I am writing to you in order to keep you updated that there is a lot of misappropriation happening in vodafone. I am carrying two numbers on vodafone mentioned above, and for couple of months starting June 2011 have been charged extra for the unbilled amount. I happen to activate GPRS on vodafone & got a new mobile through which the activation was done. At the same time was unable of the settings how to deactivate it if not in use. Unfortunately I was charged Rs.1448/- for the month June-July 2011 which I happen to pay &again in the month of July- August 2011 I was flashed with an sms of paying an amount of Rs.1490/- before which I stopped my vodafone GPRS service & started using other service provider. I happen to meet vodafone customer care people @ Vodafone store, Mulund (W) & was discussing about my concern. Those people asked for my Spice phone with the settings of internet which I told them that internet services do not work in this phone. But still on their insistence I handed over the phone to the customer care agent, she did some settings deactivation & asked me to switch off the phone & switch it on, but the moment I switched off my phone & tried switching it on it stopped working. And to add to the rudeness the customer care agent alleged said that I didn’t ask for your phone you only gave it to me in my hand to check the settings, which is completely false. Now my phone has completely stopped working & those people interestingly put up all the false allegations on me. When I happen to reciprocate them back they just apologized for the misappropriation happened, but there was no solution to it. Now I have deactivated my both the services which were in postpaid connections, and I am being charged Rs.1490/ for [protected] & rs.205/- for [protected] which I am not going to pay until and unless my phone is restored back. Vodafone customer people co-ordinating with us were Mr. Anirban, Mr. Rishi, Ms. Poonam & one more customer care agent who destroyed my phone. After much of communication those people said that I happen to pay Rs.1448/- on unused bill, but actually my used amount came to only Rs. 490/- or so, I have to ask you why am I been charged for the unbilled amount & not adjusted that amount in the next coming bill. When I visited the store & had heated argument with your people who are very rude they told me that this amount will be adjusted & after deducting you will have to pay Rs.1386, my phone which was destroyed was of Rs.2000/- which is completely gone now, who is going to bear the charges for it? Before visiting mulund branch I visited Sakinaka branch & asked the customer care official to forward me the itemized bill on my mailing address which is still not received from them. I had to take it from the vodafone site & found that I am been extra charged for using sms, to keep you updated I have already taken a plan of Rs.35 for sms services, then why am I again charged extra for it.
Finally concluding this email I have received lot of torture & my mental peace is at stake by getting calls from the vodafone people. Request you to take this matter in your hand & settle it positively. You may contact back on my alternate no[protected] & get it sorted out at the earliest. My bill date is 20th September 2011 @ I plan not to pay the amount for both the numbers until and unless this matter is sorted out or else I will be forced to take legal action against vodafone service providers (names mentioned specifically).
            Thanks in anticipation.

Vodafone — Not returning security money

am Vodafone prepaid customer, In the month of November I got call probably from firm(mentioned above) having attracting plans of postpaid plans. They told me about some Plan-150P, in which user have 150 min to call which includes both STD and Local calls. I found this plans beneficial for me and after a day they send some person who takes necessary documents which would be needed for billing and security of Rs.250 and give me a postpaid Sim-card which would be activated within 24hrs.
The next day some person called me and to activate postpaid SIM and deactivate prepaid SIM, but after talking to him I found there is no such Plan-150P which has 150 min Local and STD calls. So i refused to deactivate my prepaid SIM and activate that postpaid SIM which I got the last day. After this incidence I got calls on same day eve and next day in which they insist me to take some other Plan-222 which have STD benefits. but I told him to take back his SIM and return my security.
From that day I didn't get any calls from them neither any person who can take their SIM and return my security back.
I still have the receipt given by them. The address written on the receipt is

                Dear Sir,

I am using Vodafone mobile service. I got ported to it from Airtel 2 months back. While filling up forms, I have requested to person that he, activate my internet service package for Rs. 199.
I kept using my mobile internet and end of the month found that I got bill of Rs.2768. Out of which approximately Rs[protected] has been charged for internet. When I am trying to complaint in Vodafone customer care, they are saying you have used internet and we can't take your complaint. It's not valid.
I know, I have used internet service. But

                1. It's wasn't so premium service (like 3G or so ), I have been charged so much of amount
                2. I have not been intimated that we are staring this high costly service for you? there were no confirmation call for this service to start.
                3. If they have to start any default internet service, why they do not start minimal cost service OR something like Rs 199 package by default. Why default option has been deliberately is so costly.
For my inquiry for this, Vodafone customer executives are saying that it's by default for every one and not just for you.
If so is the case there must many scape goats like me who who used such high costly service and now Vodafone company is forcing them to pay it as they have used it.

This is fraud and definitely a fraud. Please look into this matter and save suffered customers like me and many more over there.

                Thanks,
                Nilesh

I am D K Tiwary. I took a mobile number in Jun 2010 ([protected]). Generally I am on roaming. Last month I found that my number was deactivated. I called the number from my other mobile and I found that the SIM card is allotted to someone else. I wonder how my number can be allotted to someone else. I doubt if my number is used by some anti social or anti national peace disturbing organisation. The matter needs to be looked into. I am lodging an FIR with police also. The natinal interest demands that mobile companies must take care that such incidents do not happen.

                  Thanks.

Hi, My name is Sanjay Dadlani, and a valued Vodafone customer for almost a year with cell phone number,[protected], and since the time I have purchased my new cell phone, I used to have Vodafone data plan of INR 111/- which is now grandfathered. The same plan now is available for INR 147/- Now, this is what the problem I faced: During evening, September 09, 2011, I have my recharge for the Internet done by someone else, and I got a text about the activation of the plan. Normally, it takes just 4 hours to get the Internet service activated on my cell phone. However, this time, it didn't. Next day, Septemer 10,2011, I came home in the morning, finish up my night shift, and called up Vodafone's customer service number 111. Connected the representative in there. THE NAME OF THE REPRESENTATIVE AT THE DOMESTIC CALL CENTER WAS PARTH PAREKH. I called at about 8 o'clock in the morning. I mentioned him the issue I was facing that the Internet service which I subscribed for is still not on. He asked, which plan did you subscribe? I said INR 111 first, unaware of the fact that it is changed to INR 147. He said, there is no such plan. Within 30 seconds, I got it confirmed, and told him. Its not INR 111. It is INR 147. Parth: Toh tumko pehle bolna chahiye tha na, ke 147 ka hai. Me: I got it confirmed now, it is 147. So.. Parth: Nahi, par tumko pehle bolna chahiye tha. Me: Alright! I don't want to discuss anything with you, just transfer the call to the manager. Parth: aise thodi na hota hai. yaha par koi manager nai hai. Agar tumko meri complain karni hai 198 par call karo. I called the 198 number, and it is of no use. Now, I called once again, 111 and got connected to the other rep., Ashwin R Patel. He told me that he is sending me GPRS settings. I just need to save it, and it will be up and running. I asked him about 3 times, what if it doesn't work. Is there another way, I can send some code as a text message to any particular number to receive the settings and get it working. He said, "No rest assure. It will be received and it is active from our end." I got the settings, installed it, and still my Internet is NOT ready to use. I have checked my cell phone, and all the settings are activated, but the signal for Internet which it should show, is not coming up, and Internet is not yet active. That's the first time, I'm facing such a great issue with Vodafone cell phone service. I must say, Vodafone has expanded to a great extent that it doesn't bother about the small customers. Though, it is No. 1 in maintaining the resistency of the network, it doesn't care about the customers who want the issue to get sorted out. When they ask for help, what they get is just the rudest behaviour at the customer service centers. To be very honest, the first time in my life, a customer care representative has talked to me in such a way. "Idea" never dealt with suchaway.. I think, I have to reconsider the service provider, I have chosen. A BIG MISTAKE which I have done by switching to Vodafone. Still, I will give 48 hours to Vodafone, to see if they can sort out my Internet issue, and with a nice justification of the rude behaviour at the customer service department. If not, then for sure, Good bye, FOREVER!!!!

                          Dear Gurpreet Ji,

                          Warm greetings to you!

I’m writing this mail to you on behalf of my brother, Mr. PrashantSingh who is using Vodafone Data card (3G enabled) number [protected] with Rs850 monthly plan. We have tried all possible means to resolve this issue. However, we have a feeling and an experience that without your intervention, therecan hardly be anything positive expected.

The matter is as follows: -

My brother, Prashant was using this connection for the lastone month. His work involves too much o[censored]sage/ data/ internet and he isconsidered to be one of the most efficient employees of his esteemedorganisation, KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK and its HR Team.

He had to do something urgently and when he was working on hiscomputer on the 27th August 2011night, the internet connection suddenly failed. He immediately calledthe customer care executive and tried finding out what went wrong. He wasinformed by the executive that he hadn’t paid his bill and so, his connection hasbeen barred. He was also told that he needs to pay Rs 756. 09 (which is thebilled amount, and for which he hadn’t received the bill at his residence- INSTEADHE RECEIVED THE BILL ONLY ON THE 29th AUGUST 2011 )to settle the billand get his connection restored. He panicked but kept his cool as he is part ofthe HR Team and knows all the aspects of handling customers. He kept onrequesting the customer care executive to allow him the usage till morning. But,his request was denied saying, ‘This will not be possible until and unless youpay your dues’.

Prashant went to Vodafone Outlet in Patparganj on the 28th(Sunday), Delhi and deposited Rs. 750 immediately in order to restore the connection. The cashier gave him a receipt and he was informed by the executives atVodafone store that his connection will be restored in next two hours time and thatthey have forwarded the service request to the concerned Vodafone team. Noneof the executives told him that he needs to pay more for any billed or un-billedusage.

Prashant came back to home relieved but to his surprise hecouldn’t get connected to the internet even after 3,4,5 or 6 hours. He againcalled Customer Care number and again he was on one occasion and the other misleadsaying, this is prepaid department and this is post paid department and so onand so forth. He was also asked to call from a postpaid number, anotherVodafone number, some other non- Vodafone number or a landline number. He was againnot provided with any help but an assurance that his request has been forwardedto the concerned department. Even, till this time he wasn’t informed anythingon the payment amount- billed or unbilled. He was given a Service RequestNumber 2206675 at 12:30 am on 29th Aug 2011 but nothinghappened. He could still not use his connection despite of regular attempts to resolve this issue.

The last bill (Billing period- 24th July to 23rdAugust 2011) Prashant got in his name clearly mentions amount ‘due on orbefore 11th September 2011 is 756.09 Rupees.’ Despite ofsubmitting Rs 750 on the 28th, his connection hasn’t been restoredso far and he is struggling with his internet connection.

I, on his behalf called Vodafone customer care from my cellno[protected] to find out what’s wrong with the connection and I was informed that Prashant has not paid theunbilled amount which is INR 2700. I was shocked to listen to this as thisinformation wasn’t passed on by any of the executives or the Vodafone Store inPatpargunj, New Delhi to Prashant. There is certainly a lapse on the part ofthe company and its officials in not providing the correct informationon time.

We don’t understand that, when the bill was paid on the 28thof August 2011 why has the following happened: -

                          i) Why was Prashant not informed of his unbilledusage?
ii) Why did no one try to contact him on hisalternate phone number?
iii) Why wasn’t any letter in hard copy sent to hisresidence?
iv) Why is the bill collected at all the stores/ counters, but information is available only on the select outlets or Okhla address?
                          v) Without any such prior information, why was hisinternet connection barred?
vi) Why has no one tried to assist Prashant byrestoring his connection- be it the customer care, the Vodafone store official, etc.
vii) Why and how did the charges of Rs 2700 came whenthe internet connection actually stopped working from 27th night? There doesn’t seem to be a possibility of such payments being credited to hisusage/account in three days when he hasn’t downloaded any movie, any softwareupdate, etc. (billed period 24th July- 23rd August amount756.09, the time o[censored]sage after the billed period is only 4 days in which theredoesn’t seem a possibility o[censored]sage of internet connection to the tune of Rs2700).
viii) Lastly, why is a customer forced to run frompillar to post in depositing the bill while the sales representatives visitcustomer’s residence to offer the connection?

In the overall process, we have felt that Vodafone isn’tconcerned about customers but intends just to increase its customer base andearn profit. From a company like Vodafone, which uses the tag line ‘Happy toHelp’ such a behavior and deficiency in services cannot be expected. Itseems and has given us a feeling that 3G Tag line ‘Faster, Smarter, Better’ isonly used while selling the connection, but not towards its services, training its customer care officials and on its after-sales support. We are also notvery happy with the services and the speed during day hours.

We haven’t got any support from the customer care officialsor Vodafone store executives towards sorting this issue so far, the connectionstill remains barred. The repeated requests have failed to gather any momentumand generate any concrete action.

The mental agony which Prashant is undergoing is in no wayjustifiable. He has always been an active and responsible citizen of thecountry who abides by existing laws, rules and regulations of the country andthe company, etc. very well. He certainly deserved and deserves a bettertreatment from Vodafone.

Please look into this matter. We will appreciate your kindconcern towards this.

We will also be available for any further discussion orcorrespondence in this regard.

                          Many thanks in advance,

                          Regards

                          Rajeev Narayan

                          Complaint marked as Resolved

                          Vodafone — Undue Harassment

A Corporation that stripped the Indian Government of $ 2 billions stoops down to unreasonable and unprofessional methods to collect an amount which is not lawfully due to it. The accrual of this amount, is ofcourse not being disputed. The amount under consideration being Rs.10K.

Vodafone barred the outgoing services on my mobile phone while I was on international roaming on the pretext that my credit limit got exceeded. Adequate steps were not taken to exhaust all means of communication with me before debarring the services. Without denial, the Corporation is best placed to know where I am ‘moving’ with the ‘mobile’. They have my email id, my office and home landline numbers and therefore, contacting me for an interim payment in case where I exceeded the credit limit should not be restricted only to the mobile number!

When I questioned the Vodafone Customer Care whether they would not exhaust all means of recovering outstanding dues when a subscriber does not pay the money, the answer was in affirmative. My question to the Corporation is, “Why do they not exhaust all means of communication before coercive steps are taken by them and services are debarred without any fault/ failure on part of the subscribe”.

I would assume that they do not expect the subscribers to realize in dreams that the credit limit ‘could’ have exceeded and he/she should be prone to potential harassment by the mobile service provider.

Let alone the fact that I was on international travel, there have been no efforts so far from the Corporation to contact me/ restore my services even a week after my return to India.

Given the mental agony and emotional harassment meted out to me by Vodafone, I expect the Corporation to tender an unconditional written apology to me in case they do not want their actions to be legally challenged. They should appreciate that I have been using this connection for more than 60 months and have not defaulted on any single payment so far.

Hope the cellular company is listening !
I so completely agree with this. Ofcourse, we did delay the payment, but have been communicating with vodafone to let us know how to make the payment as we are out of india. They have deactivated our account and hence they cannot generate a password online for us i believe. However, this so called billion dollar co. expects us to make a cheque payment while we are outside India. Their own customer service executives did not know that you can make a payment online from their site without needing to login which we figured out ourselves. One of their executives even sent us an unimaginable rude sms and even called us here and spoke like a goon. Like you said, they have not bothered to contact through email or phone earlier to sort this out cordially. What a shame for such a well know co.

                            Dear Team,

I have a corporate mobile connection from Vodafone.I have been using my number([protected]) since June 2009 and to my shock ,in the month of June-July cycle bill of 2011, Vodafone charged me an amount Rs 35516.25 for gprs blackberry services which I have not used..For the last two years my bill has never reached such an amount and nor have I used such services till date.

However , for my verification and rights as a customer I wanted to cross check the details for which I am charged and the services downloaded on my handset. Unfortunately, Vodafone has provided me with a report which only mentions the time and duration of the services amounting to Rs 35516.25 as shown in the bill. This does not help me in any way to check or verify. It does not provide with the exact details of the services downloaded. It is not justified on Vodafone”s part to charge someone this amount without any details provided. If it is a billing error, it should be sorted out since I have never used such service son my handset till date.My past records for the last two years show sthat i have never used such services, nor have my bill reached that amount. Vodafone is only trying to cheat and mentally torture a customer just for earning that extra money

Also Vodafone goofed up with my change o[censored]nlimited blackberry plan from 499 to 599 and imediately this bill was charged with this huge amount ,ideally the bill should be reduced further since the 599 is an unlimited plan.

I have spoken and exchanged mails to the Vodafone officials , Stalin M([protected]) and Vaishali Shinde however to no avail. Mails have also been exchanged with Sujana Kanal and Ruplai Dhumal from Vodafone Care, their nodal officer, Zillah V([protected]), It is mentally harassing for a customer to be charged with such an amount for services which have not been used nor has any details been provided to the customer.

I have already spoken to their customer care to register a complaint many a times, however they have refused to register my complaint saying they cant take down my complaint as the corporate office of Vodafone will sort out the issue and refused to give me a number for the same.I spoke to someone named Rajni at Vodafone care who ultimately said she cant take my complaint.

I would like to register a complaint against vodafone Mumbai, since I am not willing to pay such a huge amount for services which I have not downloaded and nor have been provided the exact details by the telecom operator .

Am aware that billing errors do happen in telecom operators and Vodafone should reverse the bill since they cant provide the exact details and basis my past history of two years.

Plese consider my plea and file a complaint against them

                            Regards

It is so Good that they even return any penny deducted unknowingly

                                    Dear Sir,

A few months back I had complained in this forum regarding getting calls from vodafone Bangalore. Today again I received a call from them asking for a person called Abdul. I asked the concerned operator to connect me to his senior. A lady by name Mamata answered me. I have explained her everything that I am getting these calls to me since 2 years and I have nothing to do with Abdul. In my last complaint I clearly mentioned everything about me. I am an ex-serviceman in the evening of my life. Disturbing me with unsolicited calls is a crime for which Vodafone has to answer. If I still I get calls then I am liable to file a suit with the concerned regulatory body in this regard.

Hope you will do the needful in this regard.

                                    Thanking you, Yours faithfully,

                                      Address: Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

I sent an MNP request (Porting Code: VM475835) to port out of vodafone on 31 August 2011. I received a call from the executive a few hours later asking why I wished to port out. I explained that I find my basic rental of 250 too high and the data plans are steeply priced compared to other servers. The executive offered a not-much-cheaper 199 rental plan, albeit with higher calling rates. When I said it didn't seem to make much sense to me ("Do you really think you're offering me something better--evaluate yourself!"), he said "Ma'am, can I please call you back?" and hung up without my approval, without offering anything valuable, without even touching the data plan offerings. He obviously did not call back.
I visited the vodafone store the same day (my second visit) and explained the situation to the executive, who said this happens sometimes, but the MNP department would definitely get back, that it stretches over a week at times. It's over a week now, I have received no call.
I visited the store to inquire about the status after a week (my third visit) much to my dismay that it's shut every Thursday (I thought they claimed to be Happy To Help 24*7*365!).
Disappointed about wasting precious work hours, I called 111 for the MNP status; the executive said "Ma'am you need to deactivate your current plan before you port out". "But what's the status of my request?" "Ma'am you need to deactivate your current plan before you port out". "Must I stay without a connection until I'm connected to another server or until you promise to follow up (but don't)?" "I apologize Ma'am but that's the procedure." No update on the porting request, just non-sensical expertise. The executives on 111 receive no training whatsoever, certainly do not know what they speak and outright get on your nerves with their foolish replies.
I visited the store this morning (yet again), and as expected the status of the request showed "CLOSED" (because a call had been made to me...so what if he said he'd call back but didn't). How CAN my request be closed if it hasn't even been opened, let aside be addressed or solved? How CAN such a huge company resort to cheap tricks to jostle customer requests? What a sorry state! The executive has promised to send a "STINKER" regarding this.
I know not what will come of the "STINKER", whether I would have good riddance from the server, whether the executives at back office would ever be trained before attending live calls, whether I would receive cheaper plans as promised to me this morning, but I know for sure how telecom companies stress customers to the point of absolute frustration and helplessness! The system totally disgusts and I wonder why no action is taken for the inconvenience caused.

An absolutely distressed and unhappy over-ten-years-loyal-to-vodafone customer!
