Address: South West Delhi, Delhi

I received a call from [protected] on my phone number today. I was told that the call was from Kirti Nagar, Delhi Vodafone office and that I won Rs. 25 lakh in a Vodafone Lottery. He gave me the number of his "supervisor" in Worli, Mumbai office whose name was one Brijesh Balaji ([protected]). I was suspicious at the first call itself as the code was of Pakistan, but I still called back.
I am stating a detailed account of my conversation because this might be helpful for others from getting caught in such scams.
The so-called Balaji told me the lottery was nation-wide with prize money ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50 lakhs. I kept inquiring about their genuineness and he said the lottery numbers had been flashing on TV for the past three days and they finally called me as they didn't receive any response to their TV flashes. I asked the TV channel and they said it was shown on Sahara One at sharp 9:30 pm. I asked if I can get details of the lottery on the Vodafone website or through Vodafone Care and he said the results were fresh and so they won't get updated anywhere yet. I asked why is this a Pakistan code and he said this was a routed number to their server and wasn't an international call. But it was evident that the call charges were according to ISD rates when I hung up.
"Balaji" asked me my account number so that they could transfer the prize money. I said I will collect it from Vodafone office but he said this was not possible as the money would be dispatch from a separate server or something like that. He finally gave me the option of giving my address so they could drop the cheque instead. I said that goes fine since I would have given my office address. He has told me to call tomorrow morning at sharp 9:00 am.
I even asked "Balaji to give me an alternate number of Mumbai since the network was hard to get through but he denied to give any personal numbers. I told him I will call him tomorrow morning at 9.
I obviously won't. But if someone at Vodafone is listening right now then please check the numbers that I mentioned and inquire into this issue. This is a serious issue where our personal numbers have been accessed from Vodafone database and we are receiving calls from Pakistan. If anything, I might get into some serious trouble as I consistently was in conversation with some unknown Pakistan number at 9:30 in the night and even spat out Rs. 120 on those calls. Please note that both the callers were conversing in Hindi, which was very fluent and sounded local.
Hoping for assistance from Vodafone since I observed other complaints with exactly the same issue.

Unknown number calls — Asking to deposit money for prize

Sir, i am contionously getting phone calls and sms from this phone no. [protected] to deposit money Rs 9800 rupees and to get prize money and also to provide account details so that money can be deposited in our account.Requesting to take approriate action againest this phone no.
Hi..This side Puneet Ahuja from Faridabad, Haryana. I got a same call from same no.s. Thanks for sharing Paranjoy...
Exactly similar thing with me today.I got cal from [protected] and other story is exaclty same.Person who picked up phone names himself as Kiran Kumar sharma.and then he gives other number and a 3 digit lottery number stating that If I cal the other number [protected] which will be picked up by Brijesh Balaji. When I ask the address form he is calling.Reply was Mumbai fort Office.address of office is New Delhi, Mumbai..
I was taken a back for a moment he told the address.
Initially I dint notice it was ISD.I thot it was sum landline. But after keeping phone when I saw the number I was really afraid since it belonged to Pakistan...Some days befor e I recieved an SMS from some Internatinal no. +[protected] and asked to call back on this number, saying"Hi honey.. I am missing your lovely voice, lets share some lovely moments. I am waiting for you"

I guess someone has hacked the numbers from some common system.
As long as issues like terrorist misusing the numbers doesnt happen..Its ok.. Unnecessarily common public is the one who will suffer..
similar case with me as paranjoy.got call [protected] at 10:51 which was a missed call..

on calling back, .a person impersonating as a vodafone rep from South ex-1, lodhi road said that you have won 10 Lacs as a vodafone lottery and you need to call his supervisor, Vijay Kumar in Bandra at [protected] at 11:03AM...

On calling this number, this guy wanted to know my bank account number details...Being suspicious about the whole talk, I asked their office location...as per him, they were from South Ex-!, Lodhi road in Surya Market..he was not able to tell me the exact address and was hellbent on me just sharing my account no...

By then I had realised the no being a pakistani no and this was a major scam happening...It seems that vodafone database is hacked and customer's info is freely available to all and sundry which is really a huge worrying sign. Once i googled it, I can see many people fleeced in various cities...Hope Vodafone realises this and keeps a check.
Hi Folks

I just had similar experience.
The caller said he was calling from New Delhi, when I told him the number flashing on my phone [protected] was not from India, he tried to spin it off as call from a computer.
I got suspicious and asked him to give me a landline number so that I could call him back to confirm. Immediately his language became rude and I hung up the phone.

Then I checked the internet and sure enough there are many others with similar complaints.

Thanks for your post Paranajoy et al

Cheers
Arun Kumar

Hi Folks,

He then called back to check if phone was switched off. Obviously, I didnt recieved the phone this time.

Hi All,

I also got the same call as said by mr. Paranjoy.

There is something seriously wrong with vodafone.

Today morning at around 7:30 AM, I got a miss call from[protected]. Later when I called back, the person was talking about some lottery and was saying that I have won 25 Lac(In hindi ). So I thought it's a prank or something more... so I disconnected the call at 41 sec. And Rs. 10/- was deducted from my account.. Please inform what is the location of this number as I think it's a ISD number may be Pakistan.

Vodafone should clarify how these people are getting India's Vodafone number...
Hi All,

Same thing happened with me some 10 minutes back and i googled it and thanks Pranajoy and all for making me aware.
But on the same site there is another guy who has written that these guys asked him to pay 15K for some processing fees and then again asked for 25K so i dont really think its a security threat. This is obviously a new trick to fool people.
Or by the mobile company to make u do more ISD calls.

Thanks,
Kushal
Yes Pranoy, I got a similar call, asking for my account number.I think thers guys are hired by their local cellphone companies to lure international customers into spending call time with their networks. Anup G. S.
Hi,

Today morning at around 9:32 AM, I got a miss call from [protected]. Later when I called back, the person told that i have won 25 Lac(In hindi ) from Vodafone. So I thought it's a prank or something more... I tried to track the phone number from http://www.numberingplans.com
I did trace the call and found that the number is from Pakistan.

Number billable as mobile number
Country or destination Pakistan
City or exchange location
Original network provider* Pakistan Telecommunication Mobile Ltd (Ufone)

Now how they got the numbers of Vodafone Customer and how can they call us an tell that they are from Vodafone.

Regards,
Bob

When i called this guy Arjesh Balaji he was talking in Hindi and asked me for my a/c details said he will deposit money right now in my account.
And told me you will have to first go and deposit 15000 into the company a/c which details he would be providing. Then they will deposit into my account.
This is Fraud.
Vodafone sholud look into the matter seriously. And how are these guys getting our numbers.

Hello everyone,

A similar thing happened to me this morning. I am an airtel subscriber. I got a call from a number starting with "[protected]". The caller said that I have won some lucky draw contest organized by Mr. ShahRukh Khan and Mrs. Neeta Ambani and the news is being shown on Sahara One. Then he asked me to call some" Mr. Balaji" on [protected]. I checked online for the authentication of the call and found this. Thank you Mr. Paranjoy for bringing this into light and saving me. How and from where are these people getting our numbers? Cant this be stopped ?

Regards
Aditya Dhar.
hello everyone,
i also had similar experience.today i got a miscall call from [protected] at 9:40 pm, he gave me a number to call [protected].he told me that i got a lottery of 20 lac and told me to call tommorrow in morning at 8:00 but thank god before doing anything i tried to search on internet and i got paranjoy's complain.something wrong is going on.all vodafone numbers are being used by some wrong persons.
i think this matter should be investigate by vodafone's high authority.

Hi every one,

This was really a bitter experience with me too. i got a call from [protected], and i was told that my number won a cash award of 10 lacs which they will be transferring the amount in my bank and i was asked to go to any near bank immediately icici or sbi where i have to credit an amount of rs 16, 100/-. they were forcing me like any thing to do so...he was claming himself to be the bank manager of Punjab National Bank..he wanted me to call [protected] and told me to prompt the code when a beep sound is audible and the code.was 065771 .. i did not trust them. then i started enquiring about the Punjab National Bank manager number and finally came to know it was not him.../ when i got the call again i was blasting him on phone like any thing... all my friends started thrashing him so badly and he disconnected the phone...
i pray god if one day i happen to met them ... i swear god they will forget that they are men.
Sincere request for all indians... dont indulge in such cheap scams... believe in you and your hard work...dont expect more... be happy in wht you have and work hard dont ever try for easy money...

the

thanks

Dear vodofone plz take this seriously as this is associated with Pakistan!! and we dont want to be involved in any terrorist scams. Hope you will help us.

Hello everyone

I too got a call today from one Mr Akash Verma claiming to Vodafone representative and he said that I won Rs 25 lacs lottery and that I should call up [protected] for one Mr Rohit Sharma who shall then explain how I should proceed further to get that money. I asked him if he was calling from Gurgaon or from Noida or Delhi to which he said that he was calling from call center and that I was among 5 people who won the new year lottery by Vodafone and that mine was the highest amount with 4 other people getting lesser denomination lottery prize. I further asked that the number from which he called showed up as "Unknown" and not any standard Vodafone number, he said that he was calling from a number that will show as unknown on my set and that I should immediately within the next one minute call up Mr Rohit Sharma.
This obviously is fake and I did not pursue it further and decided to check the internet for such a case and happened to discover that this has happened with many folks.
Please be safe.

Regards
Pinaki Das, a Vodafone user
Thanks everyone i experienced the same ...when i got a call from airtel customer care no +121 yesterday 9 pm that i have won the 25 lac ...
and provide me 4 digit lottery no 1255 also said to call to mr Rajesh bala @ [protected] about prize by saying to do not disclose the matter to anyone...then i have call to balaji on that no he said the same story and said to switch of my mobile till 9 am, he demand my account no to transfer the money ...then i have search on internet and got the complains from all of you ...it seems that there is a group of people involve in this type of fraud Vodafone and Airtel should take a serious action against these nos and clear that how they are calling from your customer care nos.
Regards
Swayam
Today I got a similar call from a Pakistan No [protected], claiming that I have won Rs. 15 Lakhs on my Vodafone number and to call a specific number. When, I inquired about some specific detail such as the number is not Vodafone customer care number, then the person used some foul language and disconnected the line.

So be careful and not attend any incoming number starting with +92*********, unless until you know that number.
I got similar call, when i was shocking and they said you win the 25 lakh pla. give me your account number and collect your wining price they said my lottry number 000
same problem i got call today morning from vodafone telling i won 25 lakhs lottery by kbc i doubted about the code it was from pakistan and he gave me 5 number to confirm with my sim and he will be calling in 5 min.i checked and number was same on my sim and then he called again and said is ur number same and if yes he will give us number of mr rehan patil and u can take ur lottery money from their and as soon as i said ru from pakistan he said i m from new delhi and cut the phone.number was +[protected]

    Hi
I got a miss call from a number [protected]. Without knowing that it might be an out of india, i called this number back. they talked in language which i did not understand and mentioned "Vodafone" once. although i did not understand. I talked to a friend and came to know that +92 is a pakistan code. I also read a warning on the Internet about such calls. I thought i would just file a complain and know what it was all about.

        Hi,

I am using a vodafone number since Dec-2010. I had started facing some network issues since morning of 7th Sept 2011. I had called Customer Care to register a complaint but they gave me a fake assurance of 24 hrs than again for 48 hours for 4 days.
After 4 days today they are telling me that "
However, despite our best efforts towards optimization of the network, due to technical and other problems beyond our control, there could be certain points where indoor coverage may not be that good. This could be due to the presence of big structured buildings, as in your case.

Nonetheless, our network engineers have thoroughly investigated your complaint and have tried to find the possible solution under the circumstances. Maximizing and optimizing the network for an error free service is an ongoing activity of Vodafone.

Further. We would like to inform you that as per the feedback form our specialized Vodafone care team that the address is in weak indoor area, so that it is in under observation for the two months. Your service request number is [protected]." *Copied from their E-mail"
I had spoken to othere people in my neighbourhoob, they are also facing the same issue.

Vodafone is not caring to correct the problem whereas they are seeking time of two months to correct the problem.

Request you to please take this issue with appropriate authority in Vodafone and help to get a resolution.

          Team Vodafone
Iam a vodafone user like lot of other disappointed ones.It hurts me to tell you how careless and how useless your customer services are including the ones handling your customer service departments.I have been using your black berry services from past 2 months and this month after deducting my account with 399 rupees which is a monthly plan my services were deactivated without any reason.i have had zillions of calls made to your customer numbers and have spoken to millions of your employees, and trust me none of them is good enough to be handling any position in a customer care department. even after so many calls and so many complaints logged my blackberry still isnt working.today i have visited your store in sector 19 chandigarh twice but all in vain.after all the complaints and all the days your company made me wait today i was told that by evening it should be working but in the evening when i called your customer care again i was told that they will have to send in the request again as the previous one dint have the details..i work in the service industry myself and a consumer and its complaint is of the utmost importance.in your company customer is not given any regards whatsoever.iam not sure if any of you is monitoring this but its high time you should.just making advertisements about your network and your speed and alot many other things dosent improve your service standards. If you boast of saying HAPPY TO HELP then your help should be able to resolve problems.when you are charging us money you should provide uninterrupted services.iam sad and really hurt that the industries that are suppose to be customer centric they are not able to cope with the demands, not even demands its just a requirement of proper service.if its too much to ask then i should ask you to close the company and sit at home.iam going to swith to airtel now cause i cant take any more nonsense of waiting and not getting any solution.

According to my record i hav still got abt 2 GB of data balance. And is is NOT yet One Full month from the time of recharge.

So i want my connection to be reactivated and my 3g data restored to my number: +91 [protected]. I would also want Vodafone to restore my talktime balance which i was having at that momment of about 200 rupees(approx).

This is the second time that I am facing such inconvinience again from vodafone. If this continues i would be forced to terminate vodafone's services and then shift the connection to some other Service providers such as Airtel or Tata or Aircel.

                Dear Sir,

Sub : Complaint for disconnecting the Mobile no.[protected] permanently

This is with reference to the above, whereby my mobile no.[protected] has been said to have been permanently disconnected on my visit to your Vodafone gallery, Goregaon west branch.

I wish to tell you that this extreme action has been taken by your company since they do not have my supporting documents in their records. The documents have been submitted by me twice in the last year November 2010 and earlier also in your gallery.

I was not informed that such an extreme action will be taken except for an sms received 3 days ago to submit the documents. Being a professional it is impossible for me to attend to such things except on a Sunday since I am working. I had to specially come early on Friday since my mobile started giving the message of “Sim Registration failed”.

I have been your esteemed customer for the last 7 to 8 years from the time Vodafone was originally known as “Orange”. I have always enjoyed the pre-paid connection from the very beginning and had a balance of more than Rs. 3,500 on hand. This number has been circulated and known by everyone known to me from the very beginning. After 7-8 years of enjoying your services if I am informed that my documents are not in order with your company then I have to be informed properly for such default before such an extreme action is taken.

So the damage done to me by your extreme action of permanently disconnecting my number is both physical and mental. It is practically impossible for me to give a new number to everyone possible and there is also my prepaid balance loss of more than Rs. 3,500. I am just casually informed that neither I can get this number back nor will my balance be transferred to any new number as per company policy.

It is really discouraging to know that you have no proper system of informing your esteemed and old customers properly if there is any deficiency in their documents submitted and extreme action is taken without informing them and without any recourse. In my family we have about 6 vodafone numbers and have always enjoyed your services without complaints. This incident will really make us think again in the near future.

Please let me know what is the way out otherwise I will have to complain to the Consumer Grievance Cell and take legal action to recover my money and for the mental torture that your company has put me through.

Your early response in this matter will be highly appreciated and eagerly awaited.

                Thanking you,

                Yours faithfully,

                      Hi

This is in reference to the below mail that i received. I was out of town for few months for which i did not check about these bills, when i am back to hyd now i contacted vodafone customer care from my airtel number by dialling [protected]. I used a set of options which did not ask me to select postpaid or prepaid but the call was transferred to a rep directly and when i gave him my numbers including my number i.e [protected] he told me the complete bills details and outstanding amounts, he also told me the reactivation process so i paid the amount and dropped the documents required and photos required and they said my number will be activated by evening, however it was not done so i called customer care from my same airtel number and used the same options and none of them will provide the information i want and they keep disconnecting the calls, when i called back again i was provided information stating documents did not get submitted and the numbers are under suspension mode, and when i asked for manager he disconnected the call, i spoke to Srikanth, Jay Prakash, Kishore, chary etc and all of them keep disconnecting when asked for manager, basically the line from these agents phone is getting transferred to their managers desk and their managers are disconnecting the call as the top management will check the agent call logs but not the managers, Mr Jay prakash abused me over the phone in telugu, Mr Kishore was shouting on me over the phone by raising his voice, so they disconnected the call again, I called back again and spoke to Pavan and he said he will put me to his manager and he kept me on hold and i was waiting on hold for 1hr 12mins. and nobody turned back. When i was interacting with these front line reps they are saying my manager is next to me and he said we will not provide any information and they say my manager said he will not speak. So if a manager is not ready to speak then why that manager is called himself to be a manager rather he can call himself to be a scary as they are scared to speak to customers. When i told Mr. Jay Prakash that if he abuses me i will write a mail to corporate team, he said ((GO WRITE, NUTHING WILL HAPPEN TO ME...DO WHATEVER U WANT)). So VODAFONE lemme tell you i wont do anything as i have better things to take care of, i would simply not pay the bill till i get apologies from these people who mistreated me, because they are sitting at their desk infront of computer to provide information but not to abuse customers, they are getting paid to provide support but not to misuse their mouth as they wish and as they want, I will not make the payment under any circumstances, As known VODAFONE customer service is different when it comes to support for prepaid and postpaid, they treat postpaid customers with lot of care as vodafone will get the money only after a person pays , if not they will have to use recovery methods by spending money which they dont want to, but when it comes to prepaid, customer pay upfront so they dont be bothered because they will already make the money so nothing much a customer can do...This is how vodafone works. I will publish this article in facebook, twitter and consumercomplaints board as well and will educate other customers how to make you people hang for bills from postpaid customers.

If you people send me legal notice, i care a damn for it, as i have my proofs and my call logs which can sue Vodafone. I can also take this legally in civil court

                      Regards

                      Vishal

This is to inform you that I am currently having a post paid connection no. [protected] of Talk Rs.299/- Hello Monthly Plan and I am regularly paying my mobile bill before last date. As mentioned in the above subject, the problem is that:-

                        1. Vodafone gave me Complimentary BlackBerry services of Rs.599/- per month free-of-cost on 29.07.2011 for One Month Only after my telephonic consent to a Female Customer Care Executive of Vodafone.
                        2. Vodafone made me a call in the morning of 25.08.2011 and asked me to continue BlackBerry services on my mobile number with cost and I gave my telephonic consent to continue BlackBerry Plan of Rs.299/- per month and Vodafone activated this plan on my BlackBerry phone on the same day.
                        3. In the evening of 25.08.2011 I made a call to the Vodafone Care number 111 to pointing out my problem of NOT WORKING my BlackBerry Services as I was unable to access my pre-activated 4 e-mail account as well as was unable to send and receive e-mails through my BlackBerry mobile phone and that time a male customer care executive told me that he is refreshing my e-mail addresses and after 5 minutes you can access your E-mail accounts as well all can be able to send and receive e-mails through my BlackBerry handset by doing a Hard Boot activity on my BlackBerry mobile phone. And I did the same but I the problem was not solved.

                        4. From 25.08.2011 to 07.09.2011 I made several phone calls (more than 60 calls) from my Mobile phone to Vodafone Care number 111 and Mr. Imran (Relationship Manager) on his number [protected] and repeatedly told them about NOT WORKING OF VODAFONE BLACKBERRY SERVICES on my mobile number [protected] but surprisingly none of them was able to solve my this problem..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mobile services — Services continued after 5 years of regular payment

Its very painful that Airtel is stopped outgoing on the above number after 5 years of service without any fault of ours. We do not even know what is the reason behind it? We got one call that you need the documents again, we had requested that please send a written request so that we can send the request but looks like that you just do not care and when I called at 121, they refused to send the written request

                            Hi,
I would like to draw your attention for poor network of Vodafone at HAL-Korwa Township.

It is very trouble to find network of Vodafone in township outside the room or inside.
You people are advertise Vodafone like Hero in Mobile Communication, but as per our township people Vodafone is worst network. The person who had Vodafone SIM, they purchase one addition SIM for network may be of BSNL or Airtel.

I had complain along with my friend, many time to Vodafone customer-care (which is very had to connect)from 2009 onward but till now network is same , no improvement has done. You people are spending lot of money for advertisement, do something for poor networking.

It is my request look into the poor networking of Vodafone. In our township 1200 family are living, you should think of this.

I have received missed call from +[protected] on my phone No. [protected] , When i called back the person on the other side started off saying that " Your Vodafone number has been selected and you have won a lottery of Rs 25 Lakhs".. I immediately hung up the call as i understood that it was a SCAM call.

After searching on the internet i found out that the call was from PAKISTAN.

I am surprised as to how Vodafone can share sensitive information like telephone numbers to someone or some company in PAKISTAN.

I would like Vodafone to look into the matter immediately and make sure that this kind of information is not shared with any third party and too especially in PAKISTAN!!!

                                Hi,

Myself Kunal I too received miss call from [protected]. When call back on the no. person spoke with me in Hindi & said same thing that you have won 25 lacs from Vodafone & he gave me another no [protected] & asked to call on that no to register for the lottery amount.

It is serious issue if these calls are coming from Pakistan as such kind of phone calls can create problems & may show wrong linkups with such kind of peoples.

                                Some action must be taken.

                                Regards,

Subject: - Complaint regarding excess charging of amount for the month Jun-July 2011 as well as breaking of the mobile phone by vodafone staff @ Mulund (W) branch (Vasant Oscar location)
                                  Dear Vodafone team,
I am writing to you in order to keep you updated that there is a lot of misappropriation happening in vodafone. I am carrying two numbers on vodafone mentioned above, and for couple of months starting June 2011 have been charged extra for the unbilled amount. I happen to activate GPRS on vodafone & got a new mobile through which the activation was done. At the same time was unable of the settings how to deactivate it if not in use. Unfortunately I was charged Rs.1448/- for the month June-July 2011 which I happen to pay &again in the month of July- August 2011 I was flashed with an sms of paying an amount of Rs.1490/- before which I stopped my vodafone GPRS service & started using other service provider. I happen to meet vodafone customer care people @ Vodafone store, Mulund (W) & was discussing about my concern. Those people asked for my Spice phone with the settings of internet which I told them that internet services do not work in this phone. But still on their insistence I handed over the phone to the customer care agent, she did some settings deactivation & asked me to switch off the phone & switch it on, but the moment I switched off my phone & tried switching it on it stopped working. And to add to the rudeness the customer care agent alleged said that I didn’t ask for your phone you only gave it to me in my hand to check the settings, which is completely false. Now my phone has completely stopped working & those people interestingly put up all the false allegations on me. When I happen to reciprocate them back they just apologized for the misappropriation happened, but there was no solution to it. Now I have deactivated my both the services which were in postpaid connections, and I am being charged Rs.1490/ for [protected] & rs.205/- for [protected] which I am not going to pay until and unless my phone is restored back. Vodafone customer people co-ordinating with us were Mr. Anirban, Mr. Rishi, Ms. Poonam & one more customer care agent who destroyed my phone. After much of communication those people said that I happen to pay Rs.1448/- on unused bill, but actually my used amount came to only Rs. 490/- or so, I have to ask you why am I been charged for the unbilled amount & not adjusted that amount in the next coming bill. When I visited the store & had heated argument with your people who are very rude they told me that this amount will be adjusted & after deducting you will have to pay Rs.1386, my phone which was destroyed was of Rs.2000/- which is completely gone now, who is going to bear the charges for it? Before visiting mulund branch I visited Sakinaka branch & asked the customer care official to forward me the itemized bill on my mailing address which is still not received from them. I had to take it from the vodafone site & found that I am been extra charged for using sms, to keep you updated I have already taken a plan of Rs.35 for sms services, then why am I again charged extra for it.
Finally concluding this email I have received lot of torture & my mental peace is at stake by getting calls from the vodafone people. Request you to take this matter in your hand & settle it positively. You may contact back on my alternate no[protected] & get it sorted out at the earliest. My bill date is 20th September 2011 @ I plan not to pay the amount for both the numbers until and unless this matter is sorted out or else I will be forced to take legal action against vodafone service providers (names mentioned specifically).
                                  Thanks in anticipation.
                                  Mr. Francis Fernandes

Vodafone — Not returning security money

am Vodafone prepaid customer, In the month of November I got call probably from firm(mentioned above) having attracting plans of postpaid plans. They told me about some Plan-150P, in which user have 150 min to call which includes both STD and Local calls. I found this plans beneficial for me and after a day they send some person who takes necessary documents which would be needed for billing and security of Rs.250 and give me a postpaid Sim-card which would be activated within 24hrs.
The next day some person called me and to activate postpaid SIM and deactivate prepaid SIM, but after talking to him I found there is no such Plan-150P which has 150 min Local and STD calls. So i refused to deactivate my prepaid SIM and activate that postpaid SIM which I got the last day. After this incidence I got calls on same day eve and next day in which they insist me to take some other Plan-222 which have STD benefits. but I told him to take back his SIM and return my security.
From that day I didn't get any calls from them neither any person who can take their SIM and return my security back.

                                      Dear Sir,

I am using Vodafone mobile service. I got ported to it from Airtel 2 months back. While filling up forms, I have requested to person that he, activate my internet service package for Rs. 199.
I kept using my mobile internet and end of the month found that I got bill of Rs.2768. Out of which approximately Rs[protected] has been charged for internet. When I am trying to complaint in Vodafone customer care, they are saying you have used internet and we can't take your complaint. It's not valid.
I know, I have used internet service. But

                                      1. It's wasn't so premium service (like 3G or so ), I have been charged so much of amount
                                      2. I have not been intimated that we are staring this high costly service for you? there were no confirmation call for this service to start.
                                      3. If they have to start any default internet service, why they do not start minimal cost service OR something like Rs 199 package by default. Why default option has been deliberately is so costly.
For my inquiry for this, Vodafone customer executives are saying that it's by default for every one and not just for you.
If so is the case there must many scape goats like me who who used such high costly service and now Vodafone company is forcing them to pay it as they have used it.

This is fraud and definitely a fraud. Please look into this matter and save suffered customers like me and many more over there.

                                      Thanks,
                                      Nilesh

                                        Address: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

I am D K Tiwary. I took a mobile number in Jun 2010 ([protected]). Generally I am on roaming. Last month I found that my number was deactivated. I called the number from my other mobile and I found that the SIM card is allotted to someone else. I wonder how my number can be allotted to someone else. I doubt if my number is used by some anti social or anti national peace disturbing organisation. The matter needs to be looked into. I am lodging an FIR with police also. The natinal interest demands that mobile companies must take care that such incidents do not happen.

                                        Thanks.
