On 8th November 2010 afternoon I get a call from Vodafone that “ I am Calling from Vodafone Customer Care, your number is selected by a computerized selection system and Vodafone offers you a 3G USB Stick with 3.1 Mbps speed which support 4GB Micro SD Memory and the market price of the device is Rs.1850/- and as a offer you can get the device on discount price i.e. Rs.1600/- but you must have to pay in cash & for accept this offer Vodafone will gift you a wrist watch but you must have accept the offer within 8th November 2010 mid-night & you can get 10GB limit in Rs.499/- per month no extra cost within 10GB usage/month, beyond 10GB a charge of 5paisa/10KB will be apply & tax @10.5% applicable. Also said that you can also use it in multi configuration with a switch and a Router normally you are using your BSNL Broadband Connection, Also said to me that within a few minutes you will get a call from Vodafone Customer Care, please confirm your acceptance to the customer care officer and asked for my Address proof and a Passport photo, when I can be able to meet the sales person to receive the product.
I accept the offer, on 18th November 2010 a sales person came to my office at near about 7:00 PM and he asked me for my Voter ID ‘s Xerox copy, 1 copy of Passport and I signed two/three forms and pay cash amount of Rs.1600/- and I received a USB stick which IMEI NO is- [protected] and S/N:[protected] and 1 SIM Card which No is [protected] ICCID:[protected] & IMSI: [protected].
On that day approx 9 PM when I was free in my office then I visit Vodafone.in and confused that there are too many differences between the 2 USB stick which I received and which offered & described by the customer care officer. Immediately call the sales person, but he had no knowledge about that. He provide me
The sales person said to me that your connection will be activated within tomorrow afternoon and you will get a call from Vodafone customer care. But within a day I can’s get any call from any where, after 48 hours i.e. after 2 days I get call from Vodafone that my connection is activated, on that time I try to convince that I was misguided by the caller person but unfortunately I get a reply that we have no detail, you must have to contact with the Sales Person.
I was contact immediately with the sales person and give some advice and also give me a number for surrender my connection and I sent a SMS for surrender my connection to [protected] and now the connection is disconnected and after a few days I get a call for verification, I had wrote “surrender case” on the verification form.
On 18th November 2010 afternoon I visited Vodafone Mini Store at Madan Street, Kolkata. After discuss a representative I get a information that the 3G service will launched on December 2010. The USB Stick which I purchased by paying Rs.1600/-(offer price Rs.1600/-, actual price is Rs.1850/-), it’s original cost is Rs.1600/-.
I emailed this matter to vodafonecare.[protected]@vodafone.com
But they answered
