Letter of Complaint

Dear Sir/Madame
I’m a new-customer in your worldwide Vodafone Company-Salt Lake City-Kolkata-India.
1- On Thursday, October 8, I activated a one-Week unlimited browsing & downloading Vodafone live Internet service via my SIM card number ([protected]) by paying in advance 152 Rupees (Rs).
2- On Thursday, October 15, @ 8:55 pm, I made a call to the Call Center (CC) informing about the Internet service deactivation time “Should I have to stop using that service now, or I’ve to go back to the same center I made the service in, or it will be automatically disconnected”. So, the CC- agent told me I don’t have to worry about, the service will be automatically disconnected.
3- According to the CC-agent feedback I continued using my service validation till it was automatically disconnected.
4- On Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 7:46 am, I got an SMS telling me that “my Vodafone Live pack is temporarily blocked due to insufficient balance. Pls, visit Ur nearest retailer and recharge to enjoy the service.”
5- Then, I checked out my balance and I was astonished: My balance was about 14 Rs but it became (-513.29 Rs).
6- Therefore, I went to the Vodafone Store informing about the matter. They told me I’ve to pay the full amount so as to be able to make outgoing call from my SIM card or I can buy 500 Rs scratch. So, I spent about 3hrs talking to them for clarifying to me what happened. Finally, they asked me to make a Letter of Complaint and I did.
7- On Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 5:08 pm, I received a call from a male Vodafone-agent (+[protected]) based on my complaint telling me that it was their mistake and they will refund me 382.5 Rs but I have to pay 144.8 Rs to get out the negative level or I have to wait until October 20, 2009, @ 4:33pm in order to get a feedback based on my complaint. I asked him “why I’ve to pay for a 100% Vodafone-made mistake?” He said: “We sent you an alerting SMS of the deactivation time, but you didn’t stop”. I told him that the only alerting SMS I received was on Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 7:46 am about 6hrs after the Internet service has been automatically disconnected. He answered “let me discuss this with my Senior and I’ll call you back”. Unfortunately, he didn’t call me back according to the time he promised.
8- On Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 6:32 pm, I called them back again, but this time I met a female Vodafone-agent telling me that I’ve to pay the 144.8 Rs because they sent me an alerting SMS and they don’t care about the time I received it.
9- On Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 7:08 pm, I called them back asking for clarification “why before I had to pay 513.29 Rs and now I’ve to pay 144.8 Rs for a mistake totally made by them?. And for what reason I get to wait 4 days with no ability to make outgoing call…!”. In addition, they promise to call me back, but no one cares that forces me to call them back myself. Finally, they promise to phone me back within 24hrs but I think they won’t.
10- On Friday, October 16, 2009, @ 7:52 pm I received an SMS from Vodafone telling “Rs. 382.5 has been credited in your A/C”.

I’m really fed up with this bad service because I know your Vodafone Company services is one of the worldwide best services but what I’m facing here is really terrible. Furthermore, I have 194.95 Rs PINless Dial credit, but they said I can’t use it too till my balance level get to the positive level and I lost about 40 Rs bonus in my card. Waiting 4 days in this condition will be so hard for me. So, I’m really planning to stop using your Vodafone SIM card and going back to Airtel the telecom company I was using before.
I would be grateful if you intervene to get me out of this nightmare as soon as possible.

    Sub : Regarding the Vadafone Mobile Service / Customer care Executive
    Date : 16th Oct 2009

    Dear Sir / Madam,
    Myself Amol Galande ( [protected] ) ,want to launched the complaint regarding the Vadafone Mobile Service and Customer Service care Exective.
    I have recharged the 35rs through e recharge SMS pack on 15th Oct 2009 in which i have received 350 sms free according to the offer,sameday i have sent many (30sms) sms from my mobile which deducted correctly fro, the account which is the day of festival ie Dhanteras.On second day ie 16th oct 2009 i have sent sms around 11:00pm to 11.30pm its chargable and the amount was deducted from my main balance and the account was NIL. When we recharge the sms pack we received the information that amount is chargable only on festival day but on 15th oct i have sent sms ie Dhanters is not chagable for me but on 16th oct there is no festival day but its chargable. After that we called up to the Customer care on 11:28pm ie my first call in Vadafone customer care on sameday regarding to launched complaint, but there is no proper service we received that Customer care executive was very rude on call, he was not ready to listen the complaint,the call goes around 13mins and not ready to take complaint regarding the service nor ready to transfer the line to the senior ,he just want to hurry on his call, i m not statisfy on that call ,so i disconnect the line and again cal to customer care executive at 11.42pm sameday to launched the complaint then we spoken to another customer care executive that person is very polite and he transfer the cal to senior on request.When we spoken to the seniore person by name Jose he was also not ready to launched complaint regarding the deduction of the balance from the main account and he was very abusive on his language.
    Kindly look forward on the registered complaint and please provide a feedback on it as soon as posible.
    Many people was suffering from this problem.

      I tried to deactivate the Rs. 19/- offer.

      So for that i send an sms by typing 'DCT 19' to 997 number. I tried this many times.
      Everytime i am getting the response message saying that 'Hello, Your request could not be processed either due to non-eligibility or earlier request is in process or processed'.

      To solve my problem, i called to customer care number 111 and requested the customer care members to do the favor. Also they have taken a complaint for this. Even then the offer was not deactivated.

      After that from my mobile number, i can't able to redirect customer care also. I think they blocked my number from talking with customer care numbers.

      Is there any way to solve this?

      i have got one message on my cell phone([protected]) i want to discuss about that.i have talk with rishav verma he is working in vodafone service centre.i have talk him at 5:00 P.M....i have ask question for my enquiry then he has said me open ur email id.then i have said u tell me on my phone at this time only because i'm busy at this moment and i can't open my id now but i want enqury now..then he has started misbehaving on the cell an talking very rudely i have argunented with that person till 15 or 20 minutes..when i've ask why r u talking like this he has said that mai sab se hi aise hi baat karta hoon chahe wo prime minister ho ya chief minister ho.agr mere pass sheela dikshit ka bhi phone aaye toh mai isi tarah baat karta hoon..after that usne mujhe mere mobile par apne address message kara____ his name is RISHAV VERMA C45;okhla Industrial Area-II...........please take action against him as soon as possible.

      I am Jitendra Kumar Sharma from Guwahati Assam; recently I have applied for VODAFONE SIM against all my details. 2 Day back a call come from Vodafone SIM distributing organization Cell No. is [protected]. Person asked me my address being very nearer to my place. I gave him the detail. I waited for him at the closing time of the office 6.00 PM he did not came. After that I called him he told me that today he got busy some where next day he will come. Next day again he didn’t come again I range him after one more day. He replied that he had send a person to me he gave SIM to me. I told no body has given and I show anger to him he instead of feeling sorry he show anger to me and he confirm that he will now give SIM to me if I can do any thing than I can proceed. till today Have not received the SIM.

        I am a storekeaper from lucknow.my shop name Ideal Point Mobile World & My Vodafone No. is [protected], My No. in use by Demo version & 25-8-09 on evening time on this sim card going insert position. and i am contact vodafone distributor and say my problems but this distributor has been not intrested my problem please my sim card has not in use for this time area distributor name- Aatmaram & Sons Aliganj, Lucknow, Please return my Sim Card & Saling Sim Cards.my shop is closed for sum times.

          hello sir,
          i have bought vodafone sim before three months before three months they didnt inform me about cug after i got information from vodafone customer care i told them to activate cug but they didnt do it i gave all form by signed what they ask from that date till now three weeks over but still it didnt activated tis s the way they work so please help me my number is [protected] i need cug to be activated please take action immediately

            I am a subscriber of Vodafone Essar Mobile Telephone service and my Mobile phone number is [protected]. My wife and my son are also subscribers of Vodafone Mobile. I am a Business consultant and my wife and son are serving for the national airlines. We all are totally dependent on phone services for our business or job. Whereas, I have to be in constant touch with my business clients, my son receives all his job related information like pick ups, flight scheduling information, etc. on phone. We are staying at 725, Khurshed Mahal, Dr. Dinshaw Master Road, Parsi colony, Dadar, Mumbai 400014. Since the past four months we are neither able to receive or make any calls when we are at our residence. Prior to these four months, the mobile signal strength in our locality was normal and we had no problem at all. I have been following up with Vodafone Essar Ltd. since the past four months and especially with their officer named Mr. Errol Loreno on his e-mail id is Errol.[protected]@vodafone.com and Mobile number is [protected] to get this problem resolved. Vodafone has acknowledged that the signal strength in our residential locality is poor and requires upgradation. They have on each of the occasions informed me that they are looking into this matter to provide additional infrastructure to take care of this problem of subscribers in our locality and every time they have informed me that the problem will be resolved in the next two to three days. This is going on since the last four months. Besides myself there are several other Vodafone subscribers who are facing similar problems and who have also complained to Vodafone. Sir, this failure of mobile service to us has resulted in major dissatisfaction amongst my clients who are not able to reach me at crucial times. My son has faced problems with his employers for missing out important calls and resulting in disruption of reporting to work on time. My mother-in-law who resides at Navsari in Gujarat is not keeping good health since a few months and we need to be in daily touch with her on phone. We are undergoing a lot of mental tension because we cannot receive calls from her side. We have to daily go to the STD telephone booth to make calls to her. I sincerely state that we are under tremendous tension on account of the failure on the part of Vodafone to provide proper services since we are cut off from business clients and family and friends when we are located at our home. We have unfailingly paid all the monthly bills in spite of receiving such horrible service. Sir, I sincerely request you to take up my complaint with Vodafone Essar Ltd. through your prestigious forum and see that justice is done to me and my family and proper services are restored.

              Dear Concern,

              I have registered my no. for DND on vodaphone on 26th August'09 and same very day i got a confirmation via sms from 1909 that same will be update after 45 days.

              Today is 16th October'09 and more than 45days has passed and still I am getting telemarketing calls and wanted promotional sms. Please take action aganist the service provider as the earliest.

                wrong charges of sms is charged many times by different types and when asked from customer service they are also not able to give a satisfactory answer that why this is charged, sms charges is charged without any reason .[protected] this is my service registration number)
                please reply me fast because i tried too many times to call vodafone c c but any executive not able to pick my cell no.

                  I want to cancel my two Vodafone Mobile Postpaid connections [protected], [protected]. I have already cleared my bills but whenever I go to the Vodafone store they give me a fake email id to send a mail to. Whenever I send a mail to that email id with the details of the bill payment and request for cancellation the mail bounces back.

                  Request you to kindly suggest a resolution of the issue.

                    I'm customer of vodafone prepaid([protected]) of Andhra Pradesh circle. On Sunday i made STD call for which i haven't an response from friend who taken the call foe which i was charged at 50Paise. it has happened thrice on the same day.One more issue before week before i have done online recharge of bonus card of RC21 fromWWW, VODAFONE.in where they have display RC 21 is meant for 60 paise, after it got recharge i have availed F&F offer of 20 paise which i have already active then it got peractived. info displayed at UI level differ s at present sceranio that displayed at www.vodafone.in. Vodafone has taking concern about this issues rather than market strategies.
                    my gsm n.is [protected] not activate so please activate incoming outgoing and all barred calls.my name is kamlesh samriya.

                      [protected] was operational untill Saturday evening when suddenly it got invalid showing on the screen. the only strange thing happened an hr before was it got recharged by Rs. 325 out of it's own.

                      My Vodafone pre paid sim card is not working since 3rd October morning. I spoke the customer care, they said nothing is wrong with the sim registration, something would be worng with the phone, but other sim cards are working.

                        Hi,
                        I have corporate connection from Hutch/Vodafone and usging it msince few yers.
                        I noticed in my Sept-Oct 2009 bill that CLIP charges of 49/- each are added to
                        my bill for sept-oct and oct-nov bill ie Rs 98/-
                        When i called the customer care; they said that i need to pay them. And they
                        even rfused to note down a compalint against it.
                        I did not receive any notification on this from Vodafone.

                          In the Bangalore City, all agents are in possesion for easy recharge on vodafone. Before recharging on demand for full talk time of offering, agents are confident to say that Rs.221/- is full talk time. This is the best offer in Diwali but in practical is getting 185/- . Another incident is that Rs.123/- validity is life time and free 100 talk time. All agents are doing bussioness on the Vodafone in Bangalore for attractive to the customers. The customers are searching the benefits for full talk time during growth of high market price. The fraud bussines or cheating bussines are intend by the Agents through Vodafone company in busssines all over India. What is the true behind the fruad and cheating the customers? Why do you say the truth to the customers without hearting. The faith of the customers is lossing through Vodafone Agents otherwise popularties for cheating and fruading. Today it is happend when I purchased a recharge coupon No is [protected] with the assurance for 100 talk time free calls then I did not get. Again I went for recharging my Mobile through the agents in Awashath Nagar asked which is best and I get full time talk time. I got the answer Rs.221/- is the best and full talk time. In the balance Rs. 185/- when I saw then asked what about Rs. 221/- Then he said after inquery helpless offer has been withdrawn. What is the tacfull bussiness. Indian people are very broad minded if any body asked for helping people are extending their hand to the offering box.
                          It is recent past incident in the Bangalore, for helpless and floodaffected area asking offering, pupils puting their best. Do fearfull bussiness, it is best suggessation.

                          vodafone recharge coupon — excess charging than mrp

                          Dear Sir,

                          yesterday only i had purchased Rs 10 rechage coupon from the mr sanjay - owner - baisoya music corner 2028 pilanji kotla mubarak pur and he charged me Rs 11 for the rs 10 recharge coupon and i come to know that he is doing this from long time but nobody doing nothin.

                          Vodafone Recharge @ Rs.100/- — Non-providing Free Talk-time

                          Dear Sirs,

                          I had recharged my mobile (No.91-[protected]) in Vodafone @ Rs.100/- on 19.10.2010 via an authorized outlet of Kolkata. I got talk time of Rs.87+ for that and then a message from Vodafone that a Free Talk Time fro 7 days had been given to me. But that was not at all given to me till now. And, more so, whenever I asked about it by sending message to their prescriber( No *160/161#), they said " It is not activated".

                          The same plight occurred on me, as well as, my wife on earlier occasions also.

                          May I ask why does this company (Vodafone) make this sort of false commitment (of providing bonus service), if they are not in a position to give the same.

                          I DO COMPLAIN ON THIS BLANK STATEMENT AND MISMANAGEMENT OF VODAFONE COMPANY AND ASK FOR PROVIDING ME THE SERVICE, AS ADVISED BY THEM UNCALLED FOR

                            DEAR SIR

                            This is my second complaint on this consumer complaint sir i am really very frusated from Vodafone.
                            Now one more person comes in the list is PRAVIN from collection department (ANDHERI) for last 3 day he has kept me waiting . On 8th oct 2009 a collection boy came to my place to collect the amount I told him that my complaint is still pending how can u come for payment so he gave me pravin number and told to speak. So i spoke to pravin he assures me that he will solve the issue and will settle the amount. Today is 10/10//09 i am trying to contact still he is not replying.
                            AND he has kept my office number unreachable HE IS NOT PICKING THE PHONE NOW .......

                            THIS IS THE SERVICE WHAT VADAFONE IS PROVIDING ...
                            SIR PLZ PROVIDES ME ANOTHER OPTION I NEED THIS NOS IN PREPAID...

                            vodafone company — poor services from vadafone

                            This is to bring to the notice the being provided by Vodafone

                            I was using the number [protected] for past 3 years in prepaid, as my usages was increase I thought to go for postpaid connection, I called 111 and applied fro conversation into postpaid so they send an sales executive from andromeda to fill up the form and all the document, I was clear in mind what I want I explained him clearly abt the requirement that he gave me all the false statement that you will get refund when ever u go back to prepaid. And when i had taken the postpaid connection my credit limit was 700 /- after 4 day they decrease the credit limit 500/- As my usage was more 1000 / every month they deactivate my outgoing call every twice a month because of credit limit.
                            For last 4 month I am having blast with Vodafone people but all r none, they blame each other for every issue

                            On 19th Aug my usage was 800 rs again they deactivate my outgoing I called 111 and spoke to LAXMI same day and paid 500 rs to get start. Again on 25th Aug 2009 they deactivate my outgoing call. I don’t know wht does my postpaid means for and what is the use of due day and credit limit.

                            For four month I trying to solve the issue but none of Vodafone executive is taking any action there name are ( namrata , nitin , savita ( lower parel ), rahul ,ashok, ( goregaon gallery ), abhishek ( khar gallery ), siddharth from notel office . This people r not handling customer proper, they try to converse us that you are wrong and we r doing our work and we always are right.
                            This is highly irresponsible and has lead to great inconvenience and harassment

                            My Request:
                            Never encourage "these kind of Customer care officer"

                            Friend when ever u r going for any connection please takes on mail or hard copy from Vodafone.

                                Customer defrauded by fake recharge coupons on sale by Vodafone in Varanasi

                                Please be careful with Vodafone.

                                This has a reference of Vodafone Recharge Coupon[protected] sold by Vodafone in Varanasi. The customer under advise of Miss Puja at Vodafone Chowk / Gyanwapi purchased the above referred recharge Coupon from a retail shop referred by her to the customer.


                                The coupon gives a message "invalid coupon" on recharge. When contacted to Vodafone Centre Chowk it was informed to the customer by Miss Puja that Vodafone is selling fake recharge Coupons which the customer has to suffer. Miss Puja at vodafone help centre denied to verify the fraud at internet.

                                Vodafone does not provide a valid email ID or any valid customer care email ID to resolve complaints.


                                The customer has been defrauded by Vodafone and its officials in Varanasi for Rs 50.00, and bound to refer the matter to the local Police and District Forum Court against this fraud and for recovery of all losses and damages caused .

                                  Vodafone — raising tower

                                  there was ad in local news paper Samna at Aurangabad regarding raising communication tower over building at various places in Aurangabad. contact no. given was [protected] for further inquiry.on conacting over this no. one lady named Poonam answered. we were told that the rent Rs 25000/- will be paid every month&Rs. 5 lacs of depositwill be paid to the owner of building.they have further asked us to deposit Rs 5000/- in ICICI BANK A/C NO.[protected] in the name of Mr. Vishal Singh C/O vodafone ltd.

                                    I am your customer from last 4 years and now from last few days I got some un prictable messages from you that the caller tune has been activated and the charges of said tune has been deducted from your account.
                                    I didn't allowed any call to activate the caller tune.
                                    Second time again they send me a message that the MCI scheme has been activated and the Charges of said scheme has deducted from your account.

                                    Then again third time same happening again I faced, that I made a call to my friend and after 2-3 minutes I got a message that "You will be activated on Caller Tunes in the next 24 hrs. from 56789 and 45 rupees has debited from my account.

                                      I am really fed up of following up with your team.



                                      The last time your "so called" engineer visited my place, he had boldly declared that i will never face any issue's in future. But the very next day the network was gone. I did message him, but there was no reply.

                                      This is really pathetic on the part of vodafone to not attend a customers grievence.
                                      I would like to update you on the issue from the last time.

                                      Your people had come to my place to check the network and were convinced that the GPRS network is indeed very week. Mr Jatin had visited the 1st time and then he came along with Mr Vishlesh.

                                      I had asked Vishlesh that what if the net stops working after he leaves, he had told me to call him if the issue arises. But i am really sorry to say that he has been ignoring my calls from the last 10 days.
                                      I am loosing a lot of time and money and also my patience because of this issue, as i have to visit a cyber cafe to do my work. I have a small bussiness, on which too i have lost some amount of money due to your people's negligeince. And the worst part is that the collection guys call me for payment of my bills.

                                      Do you think its fair on your part to charge a customer for not using the service's. If you have a look at my usage you will see that after the 28th of Aug 2009 I have hardly used the data card.
                                      Today is the 24th of sep 2009, its been almost a month now.

                                      If the issue cannot be solved then please refund me the money for the USB stick and i will be happy to use another operator.

                                      This is in regards to a major network issue at our society in Thane (w).

                                      I have been calling up the customer care for the same but i am sorry to say those people are incompitent to reply regarding network issue's.

                                      I have 3 vodafone connection and i also use a vodafone data card for my laptop.
                                      I am facing a lot of problem as, even if my handste's are showing full network bars, the callers get it as not reachable or unavailable.
                                      Also because of this problem I am not able to use my data card or my GPRS.

                                      I would request you to look into this matter ASAP or my options will be to shift all my numbers to another operator and would like you to refund my money for the data card if this is not possible.


                                      Kindly do the needful as I am facing a lot of problem.

                                        I I am a post paid consumer of Vodafone Rajasthan since 1 oct. 2008. My no. is [protected].
                                        My complain is regarding some fake calls from my no. Showing by bill.
                                        My bill show that I make 3 ISD call from my no and amount is Rs 4250. But it is not possible because my connection is data only plan and my credit limit is Rs 1500 only.
                                        According to Trai rule it is Clair that on post paid connection ISD facilities is not pre activated. Before Activation of ISD company charge some securities by customer and then Activate ISD facilities. But I didn’t apply for activating ISD facilities on my no. Then how and why ISD activated on my no.
