Reg - Vodafone no. [protected] plan activated Vodafone Value 199 CUG plan
Vodafone advocate Kayalvizhi, contact no. - +91 [protected], is calling mobile numbers which are contacted from [protected]. This is done to threaten me by calling my relatives and friends number to make me to pay to Vodafone, which they charged me extra by claiming I have called some specail numbers.
Who authorized Vodafone advocate to use my personal data? Isn't this is a Personal Data breach by the Vodafone to share the contacts? Is the Data with Vodafone is not safe?
I am hoping vodafone wouldn't mind me providing the Advocate number to Cybercrime.
Cause of this issue:
I am in CUG plan, and this number was used by my Mother.
Bill Date 01-May-2018 : Vodafone activated service (Celltick This Day in History pack and Daily 2 Minute Recipes 1) and charged me extra Rs. 77.88. I didn't looked at my bill thought my Mother made extra calls and paid the full amount.
Bill Date 01-June -2018 : Again extra Rs. 77.88, was charged for the same service. Even this month, I didn't looked at my bill (same reason) and paid the full amount.
Bill Date 01-July -2018 : Again extra Rs. 77.88, was charged for the same service. Contacted Customer care and informed them I didn't activated the service. Vodafone reversed the extra charges.
Bill Date 01-Aug-2018 : But services were not deactivated even after informing. Also another service (Celltick Action Games pack) added. Vodafone charged me extra Rs. 102/-+GST. So, again contacted customer care and informed them I didn't activated the service. Vodafone informed me to less the Rs.102/-+GST and pay the rental amount. And informed me it will deactivate the service.
Bill Date 01-Sep-2018: But the amount was not reversed and late fee of Rs.25/- + GST was added. And also the services were not de-activated. Again extra Rs.66/-+GST was added along with last month service charges.
Contacted Customer care and informed them. And I paid only my rental.
Bill Date 01-Oct-2018: August month amount was not reversed. But they have reversed the September month service charges and late fee. Also, deactivated my service. Contacted Customer care for reversal of August month amount. Vodafone informed amount will be reversed. And I paid only my rental.
Bill Date 01-Nov-2018: August month amount was reversed. But, charged extra Rs.258/-+GST, this time claiming I have called special numbers (51717, 139 per minute Rs. 10/-). Contacted Vodafone and told them I didn't called those special numbers and representative told me to pay the full amount and promised he will reverse the amount extra charged. So, I paid the full amount including the extra 258/-+GST.
Bill Date 01-Dec-2018: But the amount was not reversed. Also, Rs. 114/-+GST was added (same reason 56789 and 139 special number is called). This time, I didn't called vodafone I was not happy with Vodafone and paid the full amount and decided to change my network.
Bill Date 01-Jan-2019: But everything changed this month. Vodafone changed my plan to RED4Business_ULV_249 without informing me. And also charged extra Rs.1384/-+GST (same reason called 56789 and 51717 for 114 minutes). Contacted Vodafone and informed them who did call those numbers for 114 minutes this is not done my me and asked them what are those services they told me those numbers are (ASTROLOGY, JOKES).
When internet is cheap and why anyone need to know ASTROLOGY and JOKES in Audio by spending Rs.1384? I explained them but they are not willing to listen. I asked about the why my plan was changed they told me there old plan was stopped they activated this plan and told me they have given Rs.50+GST as corporate discount.
I ONLY PAID THE RENTAL RS.199/-+GST.
Bill Date 01-Feb-2019: Jan month amount carry forward along with Rs.100+GST late payment fee. Again, I paid only the rental Rs.199/-+GST.
During Feb month cycle, my OUTGOING calls was CUT.
Bill Date 0-Mar-2019: Amount carry forwarded along with Rs.25+GST late payment fee. I didn't paid my rental since they had CUT the OUTGOING call an STOPPED using the SIM.
So, as per March 2019 bill my outstanding amount remains Rs.1978.23/-.
Many Customer care representatives called and I explained to them I have paid the rental properly and only the extra amount I didn't paid. But they were not willing to listen. They claimed I didn't paid the rental. Kindly check the details I provide along with bills. You can see, I have paid my rentals properly.
Then, Vodafone advocates started to calling me saying they have sent the notice but I didn't come to the court. When I told them I didn't receive the Notice and asked to send to the proper address. THEY STARTED TO TALK IN BAD LANGUAGES.
Now, Vodafone advocate is calling my contacts and asking them to inform me to pay the amount. When I contacted Vodafone advocate regarding this and told them If they want they can file the case rather than calling my contacts.
But, they are not willing to stop. This is Data breach. I would like Vodafone to take respective action on this. And, check the details and reverse the amount.
Note: I can see in this Forum, many people are complaining the same about not calling this special number. This looks like a method of Vodafone to cheat people to pay extra amount.
Vodafone India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
