This is to bring to light the tricky business traps of vodafone.I have been using vodafone postpaid for years an on and off been subject to sudden high usage bills on sudden months.
I have been tolerant enough to pay the bills as also the number had other conveniences like calling other in the network for free, certain amount of internet downloads free(supposedly) etc.
This was until I realised one month when they charged me a sudden hefty Rs5463.95 for internet usage.MY earlier high usages usually got unto rs.700 and if that is what the pattern was and if by rules the download is till 10 GB,
Norammly it was capping of 500 Mb. post cross this unlimited with 2G speed. so I could not understand how they charge 900 MB @4G speed.
vodafone should have stopped the connection at and after 500 mb usage or at least by business ethics and principles send me a warning.
If not so, at least the billing credit amount should not have exceeded rs 1000 and i should have been restricted usage unless the credit amount to my internet billing account has been paid.
it is only at the end of month that i suddenly get a bill of Rs5463.95 which is a mere unethical business trick to fool customers and trap them in.
I am subject to the cheapness of a supposedly multi millionaire combat...wonder if this is how they make money...if they get away with on...
they'll get away with this again and again.And the sufferers will be the innocent poor victimised customers who to avoid their harassment succumbs
to such unethical and intentional cheap business tricks of these companies.Cont no [protected]

    I'm in nigeria for last 6 months and cannot operate my vodafone india prepaid number for some time now. Imcoming messages were coming so far.

    On 25/12/2017, i got message that if i did not call from the number or send sms, my number would be blocked.

    I did a online rechage of 350/- inr and internation roaming 673/-inr recharge.
    I'm still not able to do the sms or the outgoing call.
    I need help to keep my vodafone mumbai mobile active.

      I have been requesting for porting my number from mumbai circle to kerela circle since a week as i have moved to kerela. I want to link my aadhar with mobile number but i am not able to do it because i am still in vodafone mumbai circle. I was suggested to send the port request via message which keeps on failing, so i visited the vodafone store and got to know that i need to activate roaming. Even after activating roaming, i was not able to send the port message and now vodafone guys are suggesting me to go back to mumbai and send port request since i am on roaming in kerela.

      I have my number linked to my bank accounts, email accounts and many other places.

      I am not receiving any help from vodafone on this matter so far and i am really disappointed with their service.

      When i call on their customer care numbers (198 and 199), they disconnect the call as soon as they get to know it is about porting.

      They are not working according to their tag line - happy to help

        Dear sir/madam,
        I've been facing this problem since a long time. They are deducting my balance without proper reason. I faced this problem in two sim cards. This problem is continuing so many times. And they are not connecting my call to customer service representative.
        Balance deduction was ₹49/-, again ₹10/- and ₹10/-..Refunded 2 times but not 3rd time.
        Please view it seriously and i want immediate response for this mail and even through this mail i'm asking you to refund my whole money. And see that it should not continue... And for your knowledge i waited for more than 24 hours for the refund but didn't get any refund and they are saying that we can't refund after 24 hours. I have unlimited plan still deuctions happens it feels like fraud
        ... Refund is necessary... And take strict action towards companies policies

            I am requested to you to face last 15 day vodaphone contact number which is converted by prepaid to postpaid number [protected] in 7 december.
            After that i have face problem because they have stop all services like income and outgoing of that number. After that i have call vodaphone customer care they have not give proper response to me. I am very disappointed to that service of vodaphone.

            I m facing problem to our bank transaction, gas booking and other type of problem due to this sim card. So pl give me a valuable response to this email.

              I am a vodafone customer since 2006.
              I walked into to vodafone store (A s rao nagar, hyderabad) to update my aadhar details. I was told that i need to port my number from bangalore to hyderabad to able update aadhar details.

              I told the my requirements (International roaming - australia) and my monthly minimum bill that i have been paying since years (~rs 175). I was told that i need to pay rs149, if i port out the number to hyderabad and will be getting new sim.

              I thought its a good deal, and got hyderabad sim and requested to make necessary changes (Plan, aadhar and number porting).

              After 3-2 days, i got a call saying, i need to pay deposite as i a new vodafone customer. To enable international roaming, to be need to pay extra deposite.in addition, i will be charged rs149 extra every month towards roaming.in total, ~300 (149+ 149) + gst, every month.

              I feel cheated.

              Requested to port out my number to another provider. Was told that as per rules, i can't leave vodafone for 90 days.

              I have asked, if i can go back to my previous plan (Bangalore). Was told, there is no way and i have to wait for 90 days, else i would loose the number.

              Not sure, how do i retain my number and get a decent deal.

                Sir I m live in harsul tal. trimbakeshwar dist. Nasik. Sir here so many peoples are vodafone costumers but we are getting a problem with the 3G and 4G network and slow speed. Here is no any other 3G 4G network so we are onLy depends on you. Sir plz do something about it. It is so irritating to surfing on a weak network.

                  As i surrendered my vodafon post paid no. [protected] last 2-3 months back in hissar location and there executive ensured me to refund my security money back with in 45 days but till now i have not got my security amount but i am getting bill of every month regularly and they are adding month plan amount and penalty on not submitting of last bills. So i want my security amount back as per their commitment.

                    I had recharged my mobile no. [protected] with rs. 196 on 24 dec 17 through "kotak"net banking. The amount has been deducted from my account but not processed by vodafone rather i received a message from 190 quoting 'your request to recharge 196 cannot be processed at this time. Transaction number is onr[protected]'.
                    Again i recharged rs. 110 on 16 sep 17. I don't know in present world of competitiveness, how much time vodafone want to so called "process". Kindly help

                      Today first time I went to first choice services center but experience was very bad. They charged 432 for ONE FRONT SHOCKER and 432 each for REAR TWO SHOCKER. When I raised issue for extra charged they revised for ONE FRONT SHOCKER from 432 to 318 and 432 each for TWO REAR SHOCKER

                      Now my question is charged is right or wrong

                        I had a call from porting department provide me an wrong information on plan

                        She told me that all my current extra benefits will be there as it is and she told me new plan with 20 gb and other 30 gb so you will get 50gb but she provide me and wrong information after plan change i got 35gb only when i talk with costumer care they told me that wait foe 48 hours but still all the things are same.

                        Never trust vodafone from now onwards

                          I have been trying to port out from vodafone for more than a week now but unable to send sms to 1900. I am able to send sms to all other numbers. Then i read at several places on the internet that vodafone blocks sms to this number. If this is true, it is as shameful as it can be.

                          I have contacted customer care, nodal officer but nothing has worked so far. I am amazed at how such a simple problem cannot be solved. This must be one of issues they would have faced.

                          I have also tried to switch handsets but it doesn’t help.

                          Vodafone - you are only agitating me more by not allowing me to port. Worst case, i will change my number but you are going to get very bad recommendations from me. Please fix it asap.

                            Hi, am using vodafone from past two uears. Recently i changed from postpaid to prepaid. From two days no net work or signel. When i call customer care they suggested to change phone, i tried by changing slot. It worked for half day again am not getting signle. Am tried of this if you are not able to solve this, just let me know i will port to other net work.

                              Actually i am so disappointed the way of approach by vodafone customer care from vodafone store (Camproad junction, selaiyur branch).
                              This store acting like a government office. When ever we go they use to say "server is down", since all other vodafone store are working well. I dont know how come this store alone gets server down frequently... I went three times to this store but my job never get done (For convert my postpaid sim to prepaid). Everytime i use wait for around 40 min, since only 2 or 3 customers were in queue before me. They suggesting customer to go other vodafone store to get the job done, then why this store was opened??? And the showroom executive telling me with attitude that i[censored] want u can complaint to any where. How worst behavior is this??? Vodafone store should take some steps to shutdown this type of worst vodafone stores, else customer wont stay back.

                                I would like to introduce myself as kanika johri, d/o mr rajiv kumar johri and holder of vodafone number 97113*8 since 2011.

                                Vodafone has informed me that trai has detected bulk promotional activity being initiated from this number. Therefore, the number has been blocked since 11:53 am on 22 december 2017. I have spoken to the vodafone department and they have asked me to appeal to trai regarding restoration of the service.

                                This is causing me great inconvenience as this is the number linked to my bank account, as well as other places. I am a survivor of a very severe stroke and have faced several health issues, and i also provide counselling to patients who are suicidal. This number is also with safdarjung hospital, who call me from time to time to provide such counselling.

                                I would like to state that i have not been engaged in any business promotional activity. I am a student who has worked as a volunteer in a national level quiz competition which aims to increase awareness about ‘safety science’. This is not a business activity. It is not charged. It is simply a means to inform children and teachers on how they can ensure their safety in school, at work and home.

                                I am willing to meet your officer in this respect and explain the situation if need be. I would like to request you to kindly ask vodafone to reinstate my number 97113*8with all the services that i was enjoying prior to the suspension.

                                  When you have said that you will paid 1000rs .my bill will forget but you did not forget my bill 1505 rs on 23 november 2017. And other complaint are i say you transferred my postpaid sim into vodafone prepaid .but you did not change.
                                  So, i will write this complaint

                                    I have got a vodafone number of mumbai circle. I am in karnatak state and will be in karnatak till april - may 18.
                                    Aadhaar is a pan india document. Can't linking of aadhaar be done pan india.

                                    The deadline for linking is feb 2018 and just to link my number to aadhaar i will have to just travel to mumbai. It involves incurring of financial cost and time.

                                    Would appreciate if linking of my mobile number of mumbai circle in karnatak circle made possible. Either with their store in karnatak or link online.

                                    Would appreciate a positive solution to the above concern.

                                    Indian government has made it mandatory to link aadhar with phone, bank and other such services.
                                    This is a very poorly planned initiative. There's no provision to do it outside of circle. There's no provision for home visit for elderly people who can not visit the store. Secondly everyone does it differently. Long back I asked vodofone thru this forum, what is the provision for elderly people who can not visit the store. They are silent about it. Till date they have not resolved my complaint.

                                    Digital India is useless, we can not even digitally talk on the same network across rooms. The network is poor. I still don't understand in this era or digital india (??????????) when there are so much advances (???????) in computer, networking and tele communication why each circle data with mobile service providers is still isolated, why each circle has a different call center number and why you can not proceed with any actions on phone number of one circle thru another
                                    we are a million years still away from digital india.

                                      Rupees 15/- deducted from my prepaid vodafone no.[protected] on 20.12.2017. I have made complain to vodafone store on 21.12.2017 03.06.26pm vide token no.335. They told me that within 2 hrs your money is refunded in your account. Without any sufficient reason they deduct my money. Once again i request you to kindly give me the credit of rs.15/- in my account without any further delay...

                                        Hello sir/madam,

                                        I have requested to convert my vodafone number from postpaid to prepaid and asked to get my deposits cheque. This request was done before 3 months.

                                        Now my card is converted to prepaid and was waiting for my deposit cheque but when i visit vodafone store they told me that the balance was deposited to my prepaid account without letting me know.

                                        I would like to get my money back. I don't want to convert my money as prepaid balance anymore.

                                        This is really shame policy of vodafone.

                                        How did they used my deposit to balance without informing me.
