On October 9, 2015, i got my vodafone number([protected]) recharged with an amount of INR 250. and when i try to make a call, i am told that my outgoing calls have been barred! When i log into the vodafone site, i am shocked to see that my number, which i have been using since late october or early november of 2013 has been registered under someone else's name and address! When I mail them, I get a reply saying that my number has been blocked because they have received valid complaints against my number from DND customers that led to the stoppage of my services! i told them to recheck and go through their records once again and provide me the list of my calls records too! i get a response saying that we have communicated the same in our letter dated 01/8/2015 and :categorically informed" me that my services would be discontinued if i CONTINUE making unsolicited commercial communications. I NEVER RECEIVED any letter! They in fact have registered my number under wrong name and address so i would definitely never get the so called letter! and then they try to push the blame on me saying that i didnt apply for change of address and name! how am i to know that the company has registered my number on somebody else's name and number. i asked them to simply refund my current recharge amount and they can keep the sim to which i am given the same copied reply!
i would appreciate that this matter is handled by some better authority who can help me in this situation rather than simply trying to wash their hands off the customer's problem. what is even more bizarre is the fact i wasnt using my vodafone number since past 5-6months to make outgoing calls! and so definitely, there were no commercial calls being made by me. the company really needs to open their records and check things out before blaming customers and harassing them by suddenly baring their services
