Address: New Delhi, Delhi

I am out of India from 31st January, 2015. I am visiting KENYA on a business trip. On 30th Jan, I contacted Vodafone Customer Care to check for International Roaming charges applicable for Kenya and also to check if any promo pack is available to bring down the call rates. The lady on the other side informed that normal call rates would be as follows: Rs.70/min for calling any local Kenyan number Rs.165/min for calling any Indian number Rs.70/min for any incoming call HOWEVER, if I activate a promo of Rs.599 with 10 days validity(IROAM599_10), the call rates will come down to: Rs.15/min for calling any local Kenyan number Rs.30/min for calling any Indian number Rs.15/min for any incoming call So, I went ahead and activated the promo and the service became active from 31st Jan, 12 am onward... Now, on 31st when I was travelling to Kenya, I had to wait for some time at Dubai airport for my connecting flight and I made/received a few calls to/from India. While I was waiting in Dubai, I also received a call from another Vodafone representative (from no. : [protected]) who also confirmed that the same DISCOUNTED call rates will be applicable in Kenya mentioned above. But, now that I got my itemized bill in hand, I can see that only the calls I made in Dubai are at discounted rates whereas all the calls that I made or received in Kenya are charged at the normal high rates.. This is a serious miss-commitment on part of Vodafone as two of the representatives confirmed the same thing and made me subscribe for a promo that came of no use. Had I been informed that promo will not work in Kenya, I could have easily opted for an alternative (local number or skype) rather than using my Indian number here. Now, I have been handed a huge bill amount by Vodafone because two of their employees either lied to me or are not aware of their own services!!! Moreover, as Vodafone was charging me at normal rates, my credit limit (Rs.5000) exceeded soon and I started receiving frequent calls (4-5 calls daily) from Customer Care, but no matter how many times I picked up the call, not a single person responded at the other end, but Vodafone did not miss charging me Rs.70/min for these incomming ghost calls even…AMAZING!!! Then I tried to contact Customer Care through 111 but was not able to as Safaricom (Vodafone partner in Kenya) kept saying the number is not valid. As a last measure, I tried contacting Chat Support through the website and after much effort once I got connected to an agent, he bluntly said that the discount will be visible only after the bill is generated and kicked me off the chat….GREAT SUPPORT!!! Ultimately, Vodafone discontinued my service on account of, I guess, “High Outstanding Unbilled Amount ” even before the expiry of the promo pack which was 9th Feb. I was left without any form of communication in a foreign country in middle of a business trip due to a reason I am not responsible for…

I am a vodafone customer since Oct-2011.I started using internet 3G since sept-14.Since then I shocked when I saw download charges in the bill.Since Sept -14 onwards various download charges are included in the bills. I am giving month wise details as below:- 05-08-14 to 04-09-14 hello1_tvallsouth - Rs.30 [protected] to 04-10-14 myplex_ap_ - Rs.100 05-10-14 to 04-11-14 hello1_tvallsouth - Rs.30 wapvilla_ppd - Rs49 deals_mydala_99 -Rs-99 wapvilla_ppd - Rs.49 wapvilla_ppd - Rs.30 05-11-14 to 04-12-14 d2c_ndtv_valuepk_9 - Rs.99 hello1_tvallsouth - Rs.30 05-01-15 to 04-02-15 deals_mydala_99 Rs-99 I have never subscribed these services, regarding which I have complained number of times at local stores at Jalgaon. But it is regret to mention here that response is negative. It seems unethical way of partnership between vodafone & these websites because of which I am suffering with unnecessary charges.Being a your customer, there should be a warning like message before levying any such charges to customer.

Hello, I have recently received my bill for telephone no: [protected] and was shocked to see over a Rs1000+ charged in international messages. What is even more surprising is the fact that none of the these messages were made from my phone. I have checked the messaging history and don't recognize these numbers and would appreciate if someone could help me out in explaining how these charges were incurred as they are totally false. Would appreciate any help in this matter Much Thanks Parvez Rasul [protected]

Even though all my mobile networks is off, why it is deducing the amount from my balance? Kindly resolve this issue at the earliest. My phone number is [protected].

This complaint is with regard to my request for the disconnection of the number [protected]. In the month of November i asked them to disconnect the number, i do not want to continue anymore. I got call from the vodafon customer care asking me take an alternate number wherin they will give waiver of 2 months rental. and pay the remaining bill which was of Rs616 so that they will discontinue the number . I did the same. I had given them the number of my choice, though i do not remember now which number i opted for. After few days they sent me the new sim, I called them 100 times to activate the number, no one responded and in turn i got the reply from the customer service, this is not a valid request and a valid number. I was shocked to see, they sent me the Bill for the previous number, i contacted them immediately and asked them the reason, they said they will revert me in 2 days. I got call again and again from them regarding the bill and every time they said they will again arrange the call back. No one had the responsibility to talk even for this. Finally, I sent them e-mail stating my problem, and they revert me asking for alternate number to contact me i forwarded them the alternate number ([protected]).which is again a Vodafone number postpaid. They contacted me on the same number, I once again explained the whole situation, then they again infomred about the same offer, that they will provide me an alternate number of my choice, I told them I am not going to take any number or sim now and asked to clear this mess. After a day or two they again send me msg for the bill payment. I immediately mailed them asking the contact person name and the contact number of Grievance Departmnet. Still I have got any reply from them and instead, they have disconnected the outgoing call for my present number :[protected] I have been harrased like anything from the Vodafone services, now i want to take a legal action against them for all this . Please help me . I have all the proofs of E-mails i have sent them also.

For more than a year now, the session costs for data service consumption has been deducted from my mothers number - [protected]. data consumed 0.00 mb and session cost charged. All this when she was connected to WIFI and the data services were OFF on the phone. So we assumed it was her old handsets problem. We specifically bought a new handset to avoid the problem but the problem persists. The Vodafone Customer Care Centre at Hiranandani Powai only seems to be bewildered. They uninstalled the net connection on the phone, despite doing that the deductions are still being made on the number for data usage. It is appalling to see such a strange problem occurring with such a huge network service provider. It is even more appalling to see how you handle such cases. The Customer Service Men are simply confused and refuse to register a complaint and the customer care representatives simply hang up. They once asked us to try replacing the SIM card for which we hadn't carried an ID proof. They refused to provide support or assistance to collect the ID proof document from us busy disgruntled customers. Ive been so dissatisfied that I will now change my network service provider. But I refuse to stay quiet about the issue. You are not only losing 1 customer, but all o[censored]s fellow family Vodafone users and also a lot of prospective customers who I will convince against using Vodafone. Regards, Shweta Nair Also please see the outrageous response from your customer care and also when I posted on the Vodafone facebook page the post got deleted Dear Mr. Nayar, Thank you for your email dated 11/02/15, regarding data usage for your Vodafone number [protected]. We regret the inconvenience caused on account of the same. We have checked and confirm you that the charges levied towards data usage are correct and accurate. We wish to inform you that, you have been charged for data usage when there was no data pack active on your above mentioned Vodafone mobile number. You have been charged as per standard rate 4p/10KB and download charges are applied as per website content. Listed below are some possible reasons by which internet could have been consumed. · Smart phones like iPhone, Windows, Android devices etc. may have certain applications that have an auto update system and tend to continuously access data network. These auto updates could be Online Applications; which usually run in the background. These applications always stay connected onto the internet. E.g. Weather, Stock and news alerts, social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook), Chat applications (What’s App, We Chat), Emails, BBM updates etc. · So, even when the phone is not being used, as these applications are on Sel[censored]pdation mode, internet services are used. · Data usage is billed on the volume of data transfer. Data transfer in online applications occurs throughout the day; hence usage will be billed accordingly. In case online applications are not in use, please Log-out or Sign-out to avoid data transfer throughout the day. · Also Games / Applications that feature advertisements which play as a scroller or have an option of an online update of scores consume data. We assure you that our charging System accurately monitors and records usage of each SIM Card. This ensures that you are charged only for the service which you have actually utilized. Hence, we are unable to reverse the same. Mr. Nayar, given below is the Service Request reference number; in case you need to check the status on your e-mail, you can share this number with us. I am Sweta Agarwal, I recharged one of the Vodafone no. i.e., [protected] on 16.02.2015 for Rs.222/- which is showing in my bank account in Narration "TO TRANSFER INB Vodafone VODAFONE Payment" and in Ref. No. "BSBI[protected]IG00PNKWK8 Transfer to[protected]" but no amount has been recharged in my phone balance. Thereafter I called Vodafone customer care, they assured me that the amount will be credited to my bank account and I have to make a fresh recharge which I have done with the same amount, i.e., Rs. 222/- on the same date. Till date my bank account has not been credited with the amount.

Dear Team My work place is located at Ekatuthangal, Guindy. For the past 6 months I have been facing severe drop in the connectivity. The signals are strong on the ground level but i work on the 9th floor and there is absolutely no signals here. There is no data connectivity also. I happen to have a prepaid and a postpaid vodafone number and both are not accessible most of the time. This is the case for some of my colleagues too. Please have a look and provide a solution for this. Regards Suraj

Its been 6 months since vodafone is deduction talk value on incoming and outgoing calls. Even if i have free minutes or night minutes or cheaper call rate plans activated, deductions are still going as it is. On customer calls they say they will tranfer the call to their senior and then they keep you on hold and then disconnect the call. furtunately if you get a chance to talk to seniors they have no answer to it. They ask rubbish questions like when did you recharge and of what amount as if i write in a notebook about it. . . they dont have information of my recharge foolish people making fun of customer. ALSO VODAFONE DONT HAVE ITS 3G NETWORK SO IF YOU ACTIVATE 3G PLAN ON YOUR NUMBER IT WILL USE THE SERVICE OF IDEA SO YOUR NUMBER WILL GO ON ROAMING.I came to know that when i complained for it. They have no way to refund any balance deducted not coz of me just coz of the service they are providing. VODAFONE: IF YOU HAVE GUTS TO TALK AND ANSWER CUSTOMER QUERIES BETTER CALL ME AND RESOLVE MY ISSUES ELSE I WILL GO AND KNOCK CONSUMER CELL DOOR. Sunil Malhotra [protected]

Bangalore Vodafone No: [protected]. I had recharged this recently for Rs 200. My talk time of Rs 150 was deducted from my talk time. When called the customer care - they are saying that i have used Mobile data and that is the reason they have charged. I do not use Mobile data at all in my mobile. I am pretty sure something is wrong for a justification from your end, Request you to go through this complaint and oblige immediately. Request you to kindly revert the charges back by making a credit in the talk time for Rs 150. Please do it at the earliest. I am not sure why Vodafone should earn revenue from cutting down the talk time charges of the customers. Please justify your stance on this.

Multiple complaints here. On switching my prepaid number ([protected]) I was informed by the sales agent at Voda store that I can utilize the Rs. 250 security deposit towards payment of my bills after 6 months. December 10, I switched my existing plan to Vodafone Red 499. Before that I was using a separate plan for 3g (300mb for Rs. 100) and my billing cycle ended on the 5th of every month. The agent who called me to pitch the plan told me that I'd be charged rental on a pro-rata basis because of the billing cycle but did not inform me that I need to separately turn off the 3g plan. This, despite the fact that Vodafone Red 499 included 500mb 3g data. In January, I received a bill amounting to Rs. 1400 even though I never exceeded Rs. 500 in the previous months. I thought this might have been due to usage while on roaming and paid the bill. When I received the bill, I realized that an amount of Rs. 650 was charged as 3g promo cap or something like that. Following this, I called them up and after being hanged up on by them three times and repeating my saga to separate agent each time, I finally found a hold of one agent (Khemraj) who filed a complaint for me (ref #[protected]. This complaint also included another point that I had not received my payback card which comes as part of the Vodafone Red plan even after 2 months. I also asked him to adjust my security deposit towards future bills and he said he will file a service request for the same (service reg # [protected]). All of this happened on the 1st of Feb and I was promised a follow up call within 24 hours (also have an sms). Thereafter, I started chasing them on their facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/vodafoneIN) and my posts below should be self explanatory:[protected]--- Ankit Williams‎Vodafone India 3 February at 09:51 PM ? When I asked why can't you lookup the complaint numbers I provided, she had no satisfactory answer. She also told me that it is against policy to adjust security deposit towards bill payments which means that the sales agent and the customer service agent I talked to earlier lied. She promised a resolution within 48 hours and as you may guess, it didn't happen. So, I posted again on their page: [protected][protected] Ankit Williams‎Vodafone India 6 February at 11:14 PM ? This is the third time I'm writing for the same issue. Based on my previous post, one of your agents called and promised a resolution to my issues within 48 hours which again didn't happen. The complaint reference numbers etc given to me were all fake. For the last time, I have been overcharged. What do you have to say about the callous attitude with which my complaint has been handled? I suppose you'd check my previous post before replying and not redirect me to the complaint form or request my number in message. Ankit Williams Like ? ? Like ? 22 hrs ? Edited [protected][protected] I called their nodal officer Monica. The phone was answered by Preeti on her behalf. I wrote her an email as I didn't want to narrate everything again and the mail is still lying unanswered. I sent it on Feb 13. However, the agent who called me after my online complaint, Avneet again called me. She said we will only refund 25% to which I didn't agree. She also made no effort to touch on the other points in my complaint despite my asking. She said she'll read the email and contact the billing department again. On Saturday, Feb 14, I was promised a call by Monday with full resolution. I have not received any call yet. To summarize, I need: 1. A refund of Rs. 650 towards payment of my bill dated January 6, 2015. 2. Adjustment of Rs. 250 security deposit as promised by the sales agent and confirmed by the first customer service rep I talked to. 3. The payback card which I have not received for two months since I switched to Vodafone Red plan on Dec 10, 2014. Using the payback card, I could have saved Rs. 125 on my monthly bill so a compensation for that. 4. An explanation for the fake complaint reference and service reference numbers above. 5. An explanation for ignoring my questions posted to them on Facebook, for not following up as they promised and the callous attitude shown by multiple agents in NOT resolving my issues. 6. A compensation for the mental agony and terrible service. 7. Closure of my account after full settlement so I can port my number.
