I am from Singapore and have been receiving calls from the below two numbers:
[protected] and [protected]. I managed to pick up [protected] on 09/08/2010 at 1031hrs Singapore time. However, nobody talks on the phone. I ran check on Trace mobile number and found that these two numbers are under Operator: Vodafone and originated from Uttar Pradesh (East). I have just sent a message to my telco to investigate this and would like to concurrently find out if Vodafone can do anything about this.

    My name is Sneh Lata, my vodafone no. is [protected], for the last few months the company is applying unnecessary downloading charges worth Rs.145 stating that I have downloaded one song every day. But when asked to provide details of the same, they dont have it.

    Luckily last month they agreed that this was the unnecessary charge from their side for which they agreed to pay back the money but shockingly the have again applied the same charge this month again

    I want to know that whats the solution to this problem, this is the last warning else i will have to take some legal action urgently

    Vodafone — downloads charges

    i had personally visited to your borivli centre & requested to discontinue download service .Mr.Vijay rane
    assured that this facility has been discontinued.In spite of that download charges has been included in my bill no.[protected] dt.18/04/08 for mobile no.[protected].this is the third request for same reason Please look intothe matter otherwise i have to forcibly stop this mobile phone service of your co.treat it as most urgent & give explaination
    Since i am a existing customer of Vodafone. The DND service is activated in my Number. But for some days i was out of station, i came back and got recharge with Rs. 100 and after 20 hous (Appx) i got message from Vodafone that Rs. 30 has been deductd from your account for MCI. don't no exactly what and why deduction has made. When i called camplaint centre of vodafone he advise me to call customer care centre 111 which is not toll free.

    Please let me know the why the deduction has been made???? More over i am getting message from Vodefone despite of DND activation and My nuber has been blocked so many times to Customer care centre. WHY? My NO is -[protected]

      I am registered with the NDNC for more than a year now, but this has not helped in checking the unsoliciated SMS flow to my Vodafone number. Now it has increased to such a proportion that it is becoming difficult to manage. As it seems I am targeted by a couple of SMS campaign providers with messages like, TD-REN, TD-IMAGES,TD-JAYDEV,TD-PRITHVI,TD-UNICON,TD-SRI SAI,TD-INNOVATIONS,LM-VANHEUSN etc.

      There are times when I receive multiple copies of the same message within a span of a couple of hrs.

      Is there a way to stop this?
      From day 1 I have been getting sms from these too. It seems Vodafone has no customer care number on which you can talk to an executive. All numbers give automated reply. If this continues Vodafone will flop in India. How can they leave customer care.

        I took a new prepaid connection from a shop in Kazhakuttom, the shop address is Nath Communication, Kazhakuttom, Kerala-695583 on 6th July 2010. I filled the application form for the connection and stapled my passport size photo and attached the photo copy of DL and company id.

        The vodafone number is [protected], after one week o[censored]sing the number, the number got disconnected. I went to the shop to enquire the case, and they misguided me for 2 days saying the number would be activated soon, then i contacted the vodafone customer care and was surprised to know my documents were not submitted.

        I went to the shop again, and they are asking to submit the documents again, i am suspecting they might have misused my documents for providing illegal connection to someone, if future if there will be any abusive call from that number then who will be responsible for that?

        Plz help if i can take any action against this shop Nath communication, Kazhakuttom who might have misused few other peoples documents as well

          I am NEERAJ GOUR S/O SAGAR SHARMA R/O 186 RESHAM GHAR COLONY JAMMU , J&K is currently using a mobile connection provided by VODAFONE my mobile no is [protected]. I have unsubscribed to the paper bill and i haven't received any paper bill from them for the last few months. BUT this month they have sent me the paper bill on my billing address with full billing detail due to which i have to face lot lot inconvenience .Even due to their carelessness my parents came to know about various personal contacts of mine How can they deactivate a service on my number without consulting me and this is not for the very first time .when contacted no one at vodafone is ready to give me any satisfactory answer .I am just feeling helpless .So please help me .....

          Using these numbers from last 1 yr and above but not satisfied with the service of vodafone and their customer care.

            My mobile no. with Vodafone is [protected] with a credit limit of Rs. 1200/- . I have taken talk plan of Rs. 325. My normal usage is around 800-1000/- per month. Last month, I bought a sms pack of Rs. 125/- by which my sms rate became 1 paise per sms ( local as well as national ) for unlimited number of sms.

            However, when I send any sms, I am being billed Rs. 1.50 (National) or 60 paise (Local) per sms based on the earlier tariff before I bought the sms pack. This resulted in my credit limit getting exhausted in 10 days and I am being pressurised for making interim payment to keep my number alive. As explained by their call centre executives, the discount will be allowed on the billing date i.e. the last day of my billing cycle. THIS AMOUNTS TO UNFAIS BILLING PRACTICES. This can be better ubnderstood by the folowing example :

            Number of national sms sent every day : 1000
            Billed amount @ 1.50 per sms : 1500/-

            Every day, credit limit gets exhausted and I am required to deposit 1500/- every day to keep my phone working if I accept their advice. Suppose I do so, then

            number of sms sent by me in 30 days : 30000
            total billed amount @ 1.50 per sms : 45000/- deposited by me as above
            On the billing date , since my sms rate is actually just 1 paise per sms, vodafone will allow a discount of Rs. 44700/- in my bill and only 300/- will be charged from me for 30000 sms. However, my 44700/- has gone to Vodafone and will now be slowly adjusted in my subsequent bills.

            Believe, your good self has got to the bottom of the issue . Now my outgoing has been disconnected and the call center of Vodafone ( 198) is adament that I must deposit the money to keep my phone working . As explained above, this excessd debit is just an imaginary debit in my account hence your intervention is very humbly solicited to remove such anti-customer and illogical billing practices.

I informed by employee of vodafone that my bill is going to around Rs. 8000 due to this call. i don't ready to pay this amount because this call was not make by me. Plz resolve my problem

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                This is in reference to my Vodafone relationship number 1.10172814.

                I would like to bring to your kind attention that we are facing problem with Vodafone connectivity at our residence C Block Sarita Vihar New Delhi 110044.

                Indoor Connectivity problem is an old problem in this area and have been repeatedly requesting your company to please get it improved.Every time what i get is your sincere apology for the inconvenience ant the matter is transfered to the technical team. This Team will turn up after 3/4 Mths. and will visit my premises with there testing equipment. They confirm the same that indoor connectivity is almost 1point which is very low.

                What i get from that is that they are on the job to get it rectified but till to date after my continuous complaints of 5 yrs. still no improvement is there in the indoor connectivity only the Company keeps on changing hand from one Corporate group to the other.

                I further request you to look into the matter ASAP else this time i will be forced to change my service provider.

                  INABILITY TO PROVIDE SERVICES.
                  INABILITY TO DISCONNECT MY NUMBER INSPITE OF HAVING SENDING A EMAIL FROM REGISTERED EMAIL ID AND VISITING A VODAFONE STORE WITH WRITTEN DISCONNECTION LETTER.

                  Following is a brief of my communication with Vodafone Essar.

                  On 1st July 2010 i sent the following mail:--

                  Re: Disconnection of Vodafone Cellular Number [protected]

                  I, XXX-XXX, having the Vodafone Post-Paid Connection Number: [protected] would request you to disconnect my number with immediate effect.

                  The reasons for the same are:

                  Lack of Network in my Area.
                  Have received numerous complaints from my Business Associates that they are unable to get through my number at home. After making numerous complaints with Vodafone there is no solution noticed to the above problem. FYI, other Mobile Networks have excellent coverage in the same area.

                  Lack of Customer Service
                  1)A recent conversation (30th June – 1552 hrs) with the Customer Care in which the call was led to a chain of Departments which passed on the complaint to another without being able to resolve the issue.

                  2)During a recent Visit to the Vodafone Store, Churchgate (01st July'10), i was given token number 122. Time i received the token: 1439hrs/ Time i received assistance: 1505hrs. The waiting period was very long and there were other clients also waiting next to me who were getting equally frustrated at the in-effeciency of the staff (Clients with Token Nbr 123, 127). I had come in person to discontinue the Postpaid connection. I was informed by Mr. Anurag (Vodafone Employee) that this is to be done by EMail where as the Customer Care which i had called had asked me to go to the nearest Vodafone Customer Service Stn. to discontinue the Postpaid service.

                  3) Your Vodafone Customer Care motto: "Happy to Help" does not serve its purpose. I realize it is used only as a marketing gimmick.

                  4) I wanted to handover the SIM Card (Vodafone Connection [protected]) to the Vodafone Centre but they have refused to accept. Mr. Anurag said.

                    we understand that Vodafone is a major Cellular company in india provides mobile services. We wish to bring in your kind notice that better connectivity of your mobile servies plays a key role to entrust in your product and sales, as it all depends on the mouth publicity from customer to others, so in this connection we are one of the prestigeous Resort called "Shilpi Resort" in udaipur which is adjacent to G.O.I. craftsmen village"Shilpgram"(major visiting points o[censored]daipur), where thousands of tourists visits everyday, and all of them are very disappointed that there is no connectivity of "Vodafone Cellular Services" and we do have a largest number of tourists visits from Gujarat in our Resort and also visits Shilpgram, We have also communicated with Udaipur office long time back with several reminders, but no action has been taken yet, thastwhy only the option to bring in your kind notice for the same as 1 disappointed customer means loosing 6 customers, so it is requested that kindly look into the matter and arrange to install the antenna in our locality to flourish the customer data base using your valuable services.

                    We are optimistic and sure that you will definitely consider this enables you to increase the sales and satisfactory services to our Resort customers as well as tourists visits neighboring Shilpgram.

                        All foolish, How can I get the money back from my bank Vodaphone/SBI when it is already charged by your co-partner SBI BillDesk (your payment gateway) vide transaction reference number MSBI[protected]IG24362187 for mobile No [protected] (Vodaphone -Andhra Pradesh -Hyderabad ) ,when I recharfed on 5/7/2010 on morning between 10-11 AM. If the same is not your record than where it has gone ? your payment gateway BillDesk is also confirming cutting the same charge of Rs. 200 with above mentioned transaction ID.(I have statement-there it is showing the amount transferred through Bill desk) i don't know where is amount is going ,i asked customer care they told it is not showing any recharge or i asked SBI customer care they told within 48 hrs yr amount will be credit but now almost 4 days completed there is not happens anything. it is not a matter of 200 Rs. but of your working and response to your customer, totally unsatisfactory.

                          APPLICATION FOR RE-ACTIVATION OF PREPAID MOBILE SERVICE[protected]

                          I would like to share the mis happening faced by me from Vodafone prepaid services.

                          I was utilizing the postpaid connection of Vodafone since June 2009 and applied for conversion of post paid plan to prepaid connection on 15.05.2010 after paying all the outstanding due as on the application date and submitted the required documents as per the staff personnel, with a request to continue the same contact no. i.e.[protected].
                          The plan has been activated after 2 days and it was permanently closed/deactivated without my permission on 24.05.2010. The company had not informed me the reason of disconnection of the same, either by email, SMS or written letter. I would like to know, how the company has discontinued the services without sending the hard copy of intimation to the correspondence address?
                          I had consulted and activated the service from VASHI branch, Navi Mumbai and on the same day I personally met Mr. Washim (Branch In charge) for the same and signed all the documents as per the signature in the ID proof provided (Pan Card) which was acceptable by the branch and was signed as per the Pan Card signature proof. In fact Mr. Washim had consulted the back office operation team for some queries and after his confirmation he assured of service activated without any problem. Even than the connection has been permanently deactivated after a week without any intimation and now the branch persons are saying the number has been recycled and cannot be returned back. I need the justification for the same? I had contacted Mr. Vipul, Ms. Aarti and two more persons for solving this matter at Vashi branch.

                          At the mean time I was out of station from 17.05.2010 to 24.06.2010. Since 24.06.2010 I and one of my friend continuously approaching the branch but till date I did not have the number reactivated with remaining balances.

                          We had visited the Vashi Branch 4-5 days continuously since 24.6.2010 but are helpless to get the solution. No single person is having the solution for the same nor are they capable enough to solve the matter. In fact every person is saying they are forwarding the mails, but there are no satisfactory answers from their end.
                          I am suffering a lot because of this disconnection. I request you to look on to the matter. I remember there was balance left of around RS 120/- in my prepaid account. Which consist of following:

                          SIM Card Charge RS.29/-
                          Prepaid Voucher Rs.100/-
                          Additional recharge Voucher (from Delhi) Rs.100/-
                          Top up Voucher- to reduce tariff Rs. 61/-
                          _______________
                          Rs. 290/- + other if any
                          _______________

                          This is an unfair activity which the customer does not expect from the company. I request you to make activate my prepaid connection in the same number, without any paper formalities and without any charges to me with refund of my remaining balance as per your records.

                          I have changed my service provider from MTNL to Vodafone through Mobile
                          Number Portability option in the month of Feb.2011. I submitted all the
                          forms and documents and based on this, I received message to switch off my
                          mobile and put Vodafone SIM card and switch on the phone again. I did as
                          per the instruction and my number was successfully ported to Vodafone.
                          Later, I recharged my number and started using as a Vodafone customer.
                          After few days, my outgoing facility was blocked and I approached the
                          Vodafone store at Chembur, Mumbai and I was told that the outgoing has
                          been blocked since I have not submitted my documents. I again submitted
                          the fresh form with supporting documents and my connection restored based on the
                          newly submitted documents. Also, I received a message from Vodafone on
                          [protected] at 13:26:16 which states that “ Hi! Your Vodafone prepaid
                          enrollment form with supporting documents have been received & updated on
                          our systems. Thank you.”
                          Now again my incoming and outgoing facility stopped and in the mobile it is
                          showing “invalid SIM” instead of Vodafone. I contacted Vodafone and it was told that my SIM has been permanently blocked since I have not submitted my documents. It means I have lost my number.
                          I am now searching for answers for the following queries from Vodafone:
                          • How my number was ported from MTNL to Vodafone, If I have not
                          submitted the documents. It is not a new connection. In new connection,
                          the SIM will be purchased from local shop and Vodafone will not come to
                          know about the customer until, all the documents received. In MNP, only
                          after getting the clearance from Vodafone I can switch over.
                          • Why did Vodafone accept my application for MNP without verification of
                          documents?
                          • What happened to my documents which I have submitted alongwith MNP
                          application form?
                          • What happened to my second set of application form?
                          • Why did Vodafone send the message to me on[protected] saying that all the
                          documents received and updated on your system?

                          I forwarded these queries to Nodal officer and Applet authority of Vodafone, Mumbai and even after several days I didn’t get any reply from both of them except an automated offer that my issue will be solved within 48 hrs.
                          Now I don’t know where to approach next to get my number back since I have given this number to many persons and to many offices. Please help me.

                            Your ir responsible team has still not called me up, inspite of me calling up the pathetic customer so called care center and inspite of speaking with a team leader hussain, no one has yet called me up. Hussain confirmed that he is sending a complaint again on tuesday 6th July 2010 and i will receive a call within 24 hours, but no one called me back as usual. Also on two instances the call was disconnected by the advisors as they were not able to answer the query appropriately. I would also like to make an official complaint about the advisors who are in efficient to handle complaint calls and who disconnected the line. Sajid was one of the advisors who disconnected the call - call disconnect time 16:55. Total time wasted with so called customer care 1 hour - and the issue is still pending.

                            recharged my phone for Rs 30 and it was no where mentioned on the web site that

                            has informed me that this recharge was a promo recharge and is valid till the

                              fake lottery message
                              i received a call on my vodafone no. by Vodafone mobile lottery draw scheme
                              at 6:00 PM IST on 06 July 2010 stating that i had won 5 lakh Rupees. This is a fake call and the mobile service provider i.e Vodafone should be held responsible for such an act of fraud. and further the mobile numbers of the airtel customers should not be distributed like that. Strict action should be taken against this

                              Vodafone — getting vodafone lottery call

                              LOTTERY FRAUD
                              Vijay from vodaphone called from [protected], hesaid, you're one of 3000 winners of a random lucky draw by vodaphone have won 10 lacs of Rupees, and to call back at [protected] and speak to Mr.Rehan patel for details.

                              when I called, i was asked to call back after a while etc, and then the so called Mr.Rehan patel wanted Home address where 3-member vodaphone team would come to verify and hand over the cheque (ICICI Dilli branch!).

                              I hope my number is not with wrong hand.

                              Vodafone — fake calls for lottery

                              Yesterday morning ( Nov 5,2011),I got a call from [protected] but as it was early in the morning so I didn't pick because I was sleeping. As it was appeared as missed called in my cell so later on I called on that number and came to know below mentioned things

                              1.That guy was claiming himself as vodaphone representative and told me that I won Rs 25 lac as vodaphone lucky lottery.
                              2.He was asking my account details but I found him as fraud so i cut that call.

                              I spoke on 111 and lodged a verbal complaint on 111.I visited vodaphone gallery and lodged written complaint .further vodaphone representative told me that many more people are getting these types of calls across India but still my concern is not resolved.

                              My concerns is -

                              considering all above number of complaints , Government /Trai should take some serious action,after all its matter of social security. Cellular companies should be penalized for number sharing.

                                I have registered for the Do-Not-Disturb service of Vodafone and received a receipt email from Vodafone regarding the same on April 26th 2010. The receipt email says:

                                Hello Samir Bellare,

                                We understand your need for privacy and do our best to respect it. Your Do Not Disturb request has been received and is being acted upon. However, it may take around 45 days to register your request. In case you need any further assistance, feel free to contact us.

                                Despite this, I have been getting their sales calls. I also complained to them, I received a "service registration number" #[protected] through an SMS, after my call. The message also said: "We shall respond to your query by Saturday 26-Jun-10 04:34p.m."

                                Not only have they not responded, but they have also violated the 'Do-Not-Disturb' clause repeatedly, causing a lot of irritation.

                                I wish to change my number by discontinuing Vodafone's service soon, but would like to know how this forum or Vodafone can help me here.
