i am dr.sidhartha kiran using vodaphone connection [protected] from last 12 years. i happen to activate internet services to my mobile 2 months back. i got it activated after talking to customer care service and i remember i activated 2gb 199 rental plan of 2g service.i was using it by suprised to find i crossed 3000 rupees bill . when asked how they said i used my internet but i did not cross my 2 gb limit . they in turn say that i activated 1 gb plan for 99 rental, which i didnt. when asked for the details they keep saying something. frustrated i got my 2gb plan reactivated on aug 27. they are cheating me by activating a igb plan and made me over use the limit and now slapping a bill of 3000 a month.

    Vodafone India is taking advantage of less knowledgable population in our country. Problem: 3g Network is ristricted from Having Continuous Connectivity Perpetually by vodafone india. How they Scam People: Vodafone is Manipulating 3g Network hidden under the " Fast Idle" problem. What Happens: Network is Switching Between 3g, h and h+ and make it look like network congestion. How they get away with it: Our People are scam with thier cheap illiterate answers from thier customer service. basically hiding the fact that vodafone is scamming 3g users with "LIMted Connectivity" Only Small Packets of data are moved over networks to avoid costs over low grade towering system. Fast Idle or fast dormancy is used to save battery to the phone but vodafone manipulated it to limit the data connectivity. usually it cant be disabled using #9900# but in out country vodafone has disabled this to fool us and scam innocent non technical customers. Raise your voice 3g Users or continue being fooled by vodafone india .

    I have noticed this too and its has been goin on for very long.
    yes i have noticed this and helplessly complained many times to vodafone and even exchange my smartphone thinking it is hardware problem.
    Im Glad Someone is putting this up. I have had Same problem but i was misguided evrytime by vodafone say it network congestion.
    are we goin to get an answer for this?????
    is vodafone going to reply to this thread or they are planning some new scam

      Respected Sir/Madam, I have been charged rs. 49 for downloading "Wapvilla.ppd". I checked twice my phone history & found where as I have never ever visited that site, so downloading any thing is an impossible question. Moreover, When i done a web search from laptop i found its a "Free site" & on the same lines i found lots of only Vodafone customer has faced the same problem (links added for your reference). Every month an individual customer can not fight for the same thing again & again, So I request to take some necessary action on the concern of deducting unfair charges & troubling the customer.         I am being wrongly charged Rs 30 for downloading unknown thing under the head mobilart value pack. In the month of May 2014 i had raised the complaint to 'corporatecare.[protected]@vodafone.com' but no action taken. Now again same thing is charged for aug 2014.They think we are kids and say sometime smart phones will downlo ad without our knowledge. But no chargeable service will activate wihtout user accepting the terms and conditions. This way thy can send bills worth thousands of Rs wihtout our knowledge. Even after threatening to go to consumer court the company didnt bother take action on my email. On searching over the internet i found many people facing this problem, kindly do something on this if possible. To protect innocent indians to be robbed by this VODAFONE. Thanks Rahul

            Outgoing SMS from my number [protected] got blocked from 18th July 2014 without any prior notice. When contacted customer care they say that it cannot be revoked it is blocked by TRAI. Have just sent forward messages to friends and relatives. Help me to solve this issue. I had the same problem 2 months ago, the problem was solved by Vodafone india as soon as I registered the complaint. So I request them to solve this problem as soon as possible

                On 29 august I recharge of 126 rs Internet pack of 1 month validity. But till now I did not receive any Internet data. I complain about it but no one help me about that. 27 September is last date for tht pack. Pls provide some help. I did not get any data from Vodafone. I was only receive the msg tht pack is ready but there is no data. My number is [protected] Amritsar pumjab. Do something as soon as possible.

                  I am an user of Vodafone Postpaid services for last 6-7 months. I had a 2GB 2g plan unlimited. I was charged Rs. 242 for downloading some wapvilla, shortformat, animation(doesn't know what was that). When I called customer care, they told me that I have accessed chargeable sites but when I asked what are the list of chargeable sites, she didn't told me anything. Please help me. Thanks

                    This is inform to you that I, Avnish Kushwah, have been using the Vodafone Postpaid no. [protected](UP West) from July 2013. I am facing a lot of problem with Vodafone and your customer care support, while I get paid my Bills on time. Last month, I was also going to Port my Vodafone number but your Vodafone executive calls me to use Vodafone service.

                    1. I was using Talk plan Youth 250 from July 2013.

                    2. In this Talk plan, I was using 1Gb Data Usage free.

                    3. I get informed on 29Aug.2014 about Talk plan Youth 250 chages to Youth 250 New (500 Mb Data Pack) by your Executive.

                    4. Vodafone has never informed me about changes in plan on mail as well as on my mobile number.

                    5. I have already talked to Vodafone on 29 Aug. 2014 regarding this and continuously follow up...till now.

                    But not getting positive reply...?

                    I have also query for Data usage, it was 570 Mb on 30 August 2013. If I get already informed regarding this I will not exeed 500 Mb.

                    My Bill Generated for August 2014 is 990.00 Rs.

                    Who will be responsible for 70Mb*1024/10*.04= 286.72 Rs.

                    Request you to Refund my 286.72 Rs. as soon as possible...Unless I will Port my number to other company.

                    Such types of problems are happening againg and again.

                    I didn't expect such type of facility given from Vodafone.

                    Why so???

                      i am writing here with a lot a frustration. i had a plan ST_CR_MV_E_Connect_299. which was actually a 600min+1.5gb 2g data free. i am a corporate user. they suddenly changed my plan from 2G to 3G and now they are charging me rs.1687. when communicated them, they were very irresponsive and careless about my problem. they took almost an hour to understand the problem and at the end they sorry sir we can't help u in this .

                            Vodafone service:- Last Saturday, i applied for converting my vodafone SIM ([protected]) from pre-paid to post-paid in Ganga nagar Bangalore, vodafone store, they told "it will be activated with in 1hr 30min to 2 hr and after that i should call 117". Two days i waited, it has not been activated, then i told my brother who is in our hometown, to activate it from there. He went there vodafone office and applied for activation. Then Vodafone came to know that, same thing has been done here in Bangalore. Next day means 3rd day of my activation, they were asking on which address I want activation, wheather from bangalore or from my hometown. i told "activate it from bangalore", then also they told the same sentence "after 1hr 30min to 2 hrs it will be activated". but till now it is not been activated.. This is the service of vodafone team in karnataka..

                              Recently I had received a Bill of Sept'14 from Vodafone and they cheated me again by charging on different download function, which I had never downloaded.

                              Now I have been Charged Rs. 50 x 2=100/- for downloads "hungama.com_value_" and Rs 99/- for "hello 1_tvallsouth_" where as no such download has been made.

                              In Aug'14 bill Vodafone has charged me Rs 28 x 5 = 140/- for "P_nexgtv_iplpre w_", Rs 35/- for big_fat_free_store and Rs 49/- for "wapvilla_pod"

                              In July'14 bill Vaodafone has charged Rs 28 x 4 = 112/- for "P_nexgtv_iplpre w_", Rs 30/- for "hello 1_tvallsouth_" and Rs 35 x 2 = 70/- for "biscoot"

                              In Jun'14 bill Vodafone has charged Rs 49/- for "wapvilla_pod" and Rs 28/- for "P_nexgtv_iplpre w_"

                              I have asked customer care about this but they are not able to answer they only said that you have downloaded from paid site. I have asked is any service activated on my number they said no, not any service is activated.
                              So tell me what type of files are this? How much size of this files are?
                              From which site this files are get downloaded?

                              Please be logical and I really got HURT by Vodafone. If you can't be reliable with your customer atleast those sincere one... then how can we trust on Vodafone and be with it

                              Hi i am also got cheated from Vodafone simply they are charging 350 rs every month by showing download.
                              i have not downloaded any thing in bill they have mention as wapvilla_ppd and d2c_mgossip_pack49.
                              i really think vodafone is making us fools, if we ask to customer care they wont respond properly.

                              can any one help what i can do to stop that download chargers

                              I called up customer care, no proper response from them. This is unfair from Vodafone.

                                    Without any intimation my monthly plan was raised from Rs .25/= to 99/=.When I enquired they said the govt. asked them to increase;.then I agreed.Now without any intimation my plan was changed to Rs.499/= Red plan, for which I never asked for.When I went and asked for the reason they said they would revert to the 99 plan on 22.08.2014 and till yesterday nothing happened;( my bill date every 20th ).they also agreed for a change to prepaid.(service registration nos.[protected] &[protected] registered on 22.08.2014).After 2 days of this I received a call from vodafone executive and I requested him to "release " me from postpaid to prepaid and the reply he gave me looked as if I was at his mercy;(he said, he would see my previous bills and decide).God knows why the vodafone executives decide for me. When I approached them yesterday they said that my plan still is Red 499.They made me to beg them for a change in my plan and to switch over to prepaid.Once, the customer care person told me that she will try to revert my plan to 99 and I should stick to postpaid or else I should pay 499 and then change.FANTASTIC LOGIC AND GREAT CHEATING, I said.Now I am fed up and have no energy to go further in this regard. I request you to allow me to switch over to prepaid. My postpaid no. is [protected]. The customer care I approached is at Gandhipuram, Coimbatore.Tamil Nadu. Poor soul, v nandakumar.

                                      I had paid my bill two weeks backs, two days after I paid the bill it showed in my bank account. Even after that, I had to keep listening to the announcement where they kept telling me I had to pay my bill. So everytime I had to make an urgent call, I had to listen to the same long message about how I should pay my bill, inspite of having paid it. Then when I called customer service, the announcement stopped. However, yesterday you'll restricted my outgoing calls! When I called customer service, they said I had to go to the nearest vodafone store. My nearest vodafone store is 20 mins away, and they invariably make you wait for an hour beacuse that is the vodafone store that customers from Mulund AND Bhandup come to. When I told him this, he said "I CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS." Well, he was HAPPY TO HELP, BUT COULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. It's very sad that vodafone is hell bent on shoving it's reputation in the ground. Your facebook page os full of complaints, i was scared mine wpuld get lost in those.I have attached a screenshot of my bank statement with this mail for your reference. Hope you will be HAPPY TO HELP ME.

                                        Vodafine activated 3G offer on my no. & when the offer expired, they kept me charging for the 3G services even without informing me that the promotional offer is expired. They did not even call me to ask if I wish to continue with the 3G offer. Then they send me a bill of Rs.3000 when I complained to them about this they only accused me of going overboard on usage.
