My Car had met with an accident and it had been sent to the Service Centre to be repaired. The windscreen had broken down and the bonnet also had been hit. The Service Centre had the car for 3 weeks. The response from the Service Centre was very bad. The car delivery date had been postponed several times and finally when I receive the car, it was in a horrible state. The windscreen has not been fixed properly. I clearly do not understand if a re painting was performed how paint gets spilled all over the seats. The steering is making a horrible sound. I can't understand if how a reputed company like Volkswagen can provide such low standards of service. It is utterly disappointing. I never faced such problems with other Car Manufacturers and other Service Centre’s. I'm wasting so much of my time doing a follow up job on this. I cannot believe that a car can be delivered in such a state saying that it is perfect and as good as new. I’m actually shocked about the pace at which the service is being provided and also the kind of response I have got from the Service Centre. It would be proper if someone looks into this and comes back with an appropriate response. My car is presently with the Service Centre again and I want my car delivered in a proper shape. I hope I can expect this at the least

    I had done first servicing of my VW POLO Highline car, of Reg.No MH 04 EH 7423, on 22/10/2011 from work shop, Global Gallarie Motors Pvt. Ltd, VW THANE. On that day they told me that their billing system was not working so later they will send to me by post. but i have not yet received the bill, when i phoned to them they are not responding properly. what is the reason behind this ? and is this customer care ?
    i was blindly believing Volkswagen name, so what i have to do now?

    Volkswagen Polo Car — Not providing proper car wheel

    I purchase my volkswagen polo car in May 2012. All 4 wheel are allow wheel but the stepney was given without allow wheel. complaint to the dealer and online to volkswagen company but no action has been done to slove my problems. there fore it is requested that kindly take necessary action to slove my problem

      The Volkswagen Service Centre in Lucknow not only takes extra time and provides bad servicing, but I was also asked by the persons to pay bribe for speedy servicing and to avail the benefits of my car insurance. The staff was very uncooperative and persistent on taking additional money without providing me a receipt for the same. I faced many problems to get my car serviced which was well insured. Kindly bring this to the company's notice. The sales person contacting me went by the name of Satyan/Satendra. Thanks.

        Dear Sir / Madam.

        I have taken Car Vento Highline Petrol Model in Month of May 2011. Car Reg No: MH-02-BR-0045 and Chassis No: WVWA11606BT034606. My car was not started once in OCT 2011. So I called up on toll free no and person came from their he did junk start. Then I took my car to KSM motors pvt ltd, vashi. Who is authorized service center of Volkswagen. I told them to check everything and give my car. They did check everything and return my car. Now again on[protected] car is not started so again I called up on toll free no and company ppl did junk start and this thing again happen on Sunday also.It means KSM Motors people have not done their work properly. I want you to take strict action against them.

        I did complain on Volkswagen toll free no on[protected]. My complain no: CAL4761 and they told that company person will attend your complain within 48 hours but nobody has called me yet. I called so many times on toll free no but no same reply and no action taken by them.

        So I think this is defeat car has given me so I request you to give me another car on urgent basis. And such a reputated company like you not provide a proper service it’s really surprise. If your company going to do like this I think every people will loose faith in your company.



        So kindly request you to take this matter on urgent basis and solve the problem.

          Incident 1:
          Dealer: Shaman Motors – Downtown Mumbai
          Service Requested: Annual maintenance.
          Service Advisor: Stephen
          Delivery Date promised: The same day as pick-up.
          Actual Delivery Date: Three days from the pick-up day.
          Car condition on return: Deplorable. Returned un-clean and scratched at the bottom.
          Issues with the service:
          1. Late Delivery of car.
          2. Car returned in terrible condition.
          a. Unclean, scratched and returned at 10:20 in the night.
          b. No paper used for the footrest. Upon asking the driver says they had run out of paper at the workshop.
          c. Head rest of the passenger side seat was raised completely and the seat was pulled up to the front to the max. Upon asking the driver says that’s how they clean the car (which was not clean by the way).
          3. No updates given on the car. Need to call at least 3 times before you can talk to someone about the car. No one ever calls back when you leave a note telling them to call you back.
          4. No call when the car reaches the workshop or when it leaves the workshop. It’s the customer’s duty to keep a check on the car status. VW does not entertain giving well timed status updates on the car.
          Incident 2:
          Dealer: Shaman Motors – Downtown Mumbai
          Service Requested: Fix the scratch put on during the last visit.
          Service Advisor: Stephen
          Delivery Date promised: Two says from pick-up.
          Actual Delivery Date: Six days from the pick-up day.
          Car condition on return: Deplorable. Returned un-clean and scratched at the bottom.
          Issues with the service:
          1. Late Delivery of car. Again returned after 10 pm.
          2. Car returned in terrible condition.
          a. Unclean and passenger side AC vent broken.
          3. No updates given on the car. Need to call at least 3 times before you can talk to someone about the car. No one ever calls back when you leave a note telling them to call you back.
          4. No call when the car reaches the workshop or when it leaves the workshop. It’s the customer’s duty to keep a check on the car status. VW does not entertain giving well timed status updates on the car.
          Incident 3:
          Dealer: Shaman Motors – Downtown Mumbai
          Service Requested: Fix the broken AC vent (Getting an appointment for this was a nightmare in itself which is elaborated below this incident)
          Service Advisor: Stephen/ Pradeep
          Delivery Date promised: Same day as pick-up before 5 p.m.
          Actual Delivery Date: Same day as pick-up at 10:06 p.m.
          Car condition on return: Deplorable. Returned un-clean and late again despited repeated assurances from the Assistant Service Manager Pradeep that the car will be delivered on time.
          Issues with the service:
          1. Late Delivery of car. Again returned after 10 pm.
          2. Car returned unclean again.
          3. No updates given on the car. Asked for tire rotation and was told that someone will call after checking if it is required. As expected no one called. Need to call at least 3 times before you can talk to someone about the car. No one ever calls back when you leave a note telling them to call you back.
          4. No call when the car reaches the workshop or when it leaves the workshop. It’s the customer’s duty to keep a check on the car status. VW does not entertain giving well timed status updates on the car.
          5. Fooling the customer and telling lies. Pradeep said that he checked the car at 5:00p.m. to make sure it was clean and that the car would leave the workshop in 10 minutes. The car actually left at 7:40 p.m. and as per the Service Advisor Stephen the cleaning was done at 6 p.m.
          Who is lying and taking the customer for a ride (Pradeep or Stephen)?
          When trying to reach Pradeep at 9:30 p.m. to check on where my car is I get a text message saying ”Sorry, cannot answer your call”

          Getting the appointment for the last service took approximately 20 calls between 23rd Sep – 1st Oct and finally got the appointment booked on 4th Oct when I escalated the issue.

          I got harassed so bad that I went down to the workshop to meet the GM. Despite promising to take me to the GM, Pradeep took me to his Manager (Thomas Kandy). Mr. Thomas was very apologetic but did could not guarantee that this would not happen again. Finally got to meet the GM Mr.Piyush A. Harsora, who once again showed empathy towards my situation. He promised to give me details of my case and also a written guarantee for subsequent services. The committed date was Monday, 31st Oct. Today is 3rd November and haven’t heard anything from him yet.

          Extremely poor response from Downtown.I have been pursuing them for an appointment since July, 2013 Four occassions they gave a date forservice and a day prior they cancelled it quoting some flimsy excuse or the other.Fifth occassion they picked up the car, took it to service station and returned it without servicing, quoting they have run out of OIL FILTER!Can you beat it!HORRIBLE, DEPLORABLE !

          I am still waiting for an appointment for servicing!

          DON'T BUY A VW CAR!AFTER SALES AND CUSTOMER CARE ARE BOTH EXTREMELY BAD

            Dear Sir,
            This is to inform you that on 19.10.2011 I purchased Volkswagen Polo TDI from M/s Viraj Distributors,Lucknow. On 20.10.2011 I noticed a humming sound from the power steering while turning and even in stationery condition. I immediately contacted the dealership, there I was sent to their workshop, where I was told that this sound is from front shocker as the shocker bearing has gone dry.
            I asked them how could you deliver a vehicle to the customer without pre delivery inspection (PDI). Workshop in-charge told me that PDI is done through computer not by test drive, hence we could not detect the fault. I then requested for a replacement of vehicle as it was bought few hours before the complaint was made but the answer was no.
            Workshop has registered a complaint and since they do not have the said part, it will be replaced when their stock will arrive.
            My request to you is please let me know how my complaint will be redressed as the no one from the dealership has even bothered to listen my apathy.

              I had purchased Vento Diesel Highline from M/s. Tornado Motors Pvt Ltd, Santacruz West, Mumbai on 4.8.2011. On receipt of RC book with Regn No. MH-02 BR 6416 it was observed that model was printed as POLO Petrol instead of VENTO DIESEL. This was intimated to the dealer and the RC book was handed over to the dealer on 16.8.2011 for necessary correction/issue of fresh RC book. Dealer assured that the same will be issued within fifteen days. As on date, almost 2 months have passed. Umpteen calls have been made to the dealer since then, but no proper reply or action.

              I have already been fined once by the traffic cop. It becomes difficult to drive the vehicle in a city like Mumbai. After spending around 11 lakhs for the vehicle, am unable to use the vehicle without fear.

              Kindly look into the matter and help to resolve this issue

                I own a POLO Highline Diesel car (MH-12 GF-1898).

                I have shown my car at the Vidyut Motors, Pune for first servicing and also for Body Noise. The servicing they have done was not up to the mark like they have done only oil change I guess nothing else, car condition was the same I have given them before servicing. They even didnt clean the car even the car was there for 2 days.

                Also for body noise issue they said , they cannot repair that as problem is with the door setting which company can only fix this (they mean to say that its company defect ).

                This is definitely not up to the Volkswagen standard.

                I would like to show my car to Volkswagen engineer so that he can give me the correct inputs.

                I had given my car to Vidyut Motors Pune in August 2012 for monsoon checkup and Engine oil + filter change.
                The Service Adviser - Kiran (Phone number [protected]) took my car and made the job card and took my signature on it.
                While handing it over to him, I had strictly instructed him not to change the oil till the time in am in front of the car. He agreed to it and said that once you are back, we will change the oil.
                When i returned back to the service center, i was delivered the car while i was waiting for him to attend to me while we change the oil together.
                But to my horror, he mentioned that the oil was changed. When i asked for the job card, there was no mention about the oil change on it.
                Then he called the service technician who had to do it. The technician said, that he had forgotten to put it in the job card once done. So he updated the Job card after i asked for the Job card.
                I demanded to speak to a senior personnel over there.
                Then i was introduced to Mr. Shriraj (Contact Number [protected] / [protected]) who refused to prove it to me that they had changed to oil.
                I demanded to him that they remove the oil and show me that the oil is new. He refused and said that we are sorry sir, i can't do that as we have a lot of load and no ramp is free to do a job again.
                I was upset and unhappy so i took their numbers and left after paying the oil change bill amount of approx Rs. 4600.00
                now when i gave my car for 1st service to B.U. Bhandari, Wakad, they said to me that it is impossible to find out whether the oil has been changed or not as it is a diesel vehicle and so there is some carbon present in the engine which doesn't allow the engine oil to be clean.
                now, what i am concerned about is that the engine oil today (not even 15000 kms done) the Engine oil is jet black and contains a lot of Burr accumulated in it.
                This proves that Vidyut motors had not changed the Engine oil at oil, but MAY have only topped up with a few ml oil.
                what do I do to take them to task and may someone hand over the Customer Relations Manager for Pune West Zone.

                  I have booked my car"Polo Trendline" on 1/8/2011 from "Automarks Motors pvt.ltd.near high court,
                  SG highway, Ahmedabad.
                  I gave the booking amount and booked the car having sales contract form no 6069 dtd.1/8/11 given by trader to me, which states the Amount of insurance of 20212/- in sales contract form.(The amount is for 'Nil Depreciation" insurance of car, as explained to me by sales executive.)

                  I have paid the full amount of the Car as per our agreement and taken the delivery of the car on20/8/2011.
                  But the Insurance policy I have received is not the same as per commitments and some other policy was given which is having different conditions of Depreciation, in case of damage to plastic, fiber and glass components of the car.
                  On inquiry, I came to know that this is not the "NIL_DEP" policy and the one which traders used to give the insurance offered "FREE' kind of insurance.
                  I mean to say that by giving me such insurance; trader has made an UNFAIR Deal and cheated me.
                  If I know that this is the free insurance they are offering, mostly I would have not made the DEAL with them.Even on my request to them they are nor not responding positively on the issue.
                  Request to kindly do needful on the same.

                      I had booked new jetta on 20 aug 10 by paying 1 lac.delivery was on 31aug,which was ramzan idd.global gallarie thane couldnt deliver till 22 sep.so i sent cancellation letter.at time of booking,mr.deepak rao and yashpal told me there wud be no 1% cut on cancellation.mr.anand too told me same later on phone.on 3 oct ,mr.anand told me he.l cut 1%..why?company couldnt deliver for 32 days + on 20 aug they had told they.l not cut..VW INDIA IS TAKING INDIANS FOR GRANTED.THEY WILL BE ANNIHILATED BY GOD,IF THEY CUT 1% of our money.do not by VW.BUY HONDA .INSTEAD.THEY CARE FOR INDIAN CUSTOMERS.name.kaniz w fadra

                          Hi,

                          I bought a Volksgawen Polo from KSM Motors(Mumbai) two weeks ago. At the Point of Sale, I was promised a Music System with Bluetooth Connectivity.

                          On the day of delivery, the Music System was not in the car and I was advised that due to the system being out of stock, this will be delivered in a few days.

                          When finally a driver was sent and took the car, I had to bear all the Tolls and Fuel expenditure and to top it all up, a wrong music system without Bluetooth Connectivity was put up in the car.

                          After I contacted Volkswagen again, They advised that I will have to pay extra for the music system of my choice and the fuel charges and the toll charges will have to be borne by me again.

                          This is against what was promised to me at the time of Sale. Also, the service I have received throughout has been very poor. My calls have not been answered, I have not received response from Volswagen as promised apart from the Customer Service Agents being rude.

                          Kindly look into this matter.

                          Similar experience. I own a VW Vento. Had taken AMC for two years at the time of purchase and was assured that the first two service's would be covered. But to my absolute surprise, during my second servicing I was told that the AMC had expired despite of having called up to take an appointment one day prior completion of two years from the date of purchase. Had categorically told the executive who gave me the appointment that the car was under AMC and had been bought on which date. She assured me that every thing would be looked after by the service executive at the time of servicing. Similar experience. I lodged a written complaint with the service manager at the time of delivery of the car, but no revert from the company. VW India's ethics and reputation is at stake.

It is noted that the car has been giving trouble from the date of purchase and for a long period, it remains in your authorized workshop Tornado Motors Pvt Ltd. Since, last 3-4 months, the Car is having a problem of left pulling ( wheel alignment issue ) and has gone for rectification on three occasions but workshop could not repair it to the satisfaction of me and my family. Since, the problem persisted, the CAR is again sent on[protected] at your work shop and till to date, rectification of problem i.e. left pulling ( wheel alignment issue ) is not addressed. In fact, the Car is lying at work shop of Tornado Motors Pvt Ltd for about 25 days. I bring to your kind notice that a small problem could not be taken care of for almost 4 months and since last 25 days, the car is lying at workshop without rectification of left pulling ( wheel alignment issue ) and still it is not assured that problem shall be rectified. It seems to me that Car is having a manufacturing defect and needs a replacement on urgent basis.

                              Dear Sir:

                              Sub: Complaint regarding non delivery of my Car Volkswagen POLO
                              MH43 AB 9565 – ENG No. CFW 009312 CHASSIS No. WVWG 10608 BT003166.

                              I purchased the above said car and took delivery of the same on 20/08/2010 under invoice no KSM/CI/463/296. This car has done about 20474 Kms as on 17/07/2011
                              and this car met with an accident when I was driving on 17/07/2011 which was duly collected by your authorized towing contractor M/s INDIA ASSISTANCE under their collection challan No.10187 dated 17/07/2011.

                              You had made a complete assessment of the damages for making insurance claim on the insurance Co M/s Bharti AXA Insurance Co Ltd. Accordingly you have arranged for the survey by the insurance Co and made a claim of Rs.21337.00 as per your invoice IN20104608 dated 26/07/2011 while delivering the car duly repaired by your workshop.

                              After taking delivery of the car on 26/07/2011, hardly after driving the car for less than 1 km , the car again stopped abruptly very close to your workshop after the engine got seized badly.
                              I had reported the failure of the engine to your company and you had deputed one Mr.Nitin Shriyan along with 4 other staff who came to the spot and took delivery through your breakdown van. My problems started from that date (26/07/2011)because neither you have arranged to provide me with the insurance claim covering the entire repair nor you are arranging to carry out the necessary repairs to make my car road worthy. When I visited your works on the following day i.e. 27/07/2011, your Mr.Nikhil Pawar personally spoke with me and also admitted that the mistake of your workshop personnel to fill up the required engine oil after the repair was done by them which must have caused the total seizure of the engine within a short distance of running. Thereafter I have been making personal visits several times to your workshop and also regularly calling them to expedite repair of my car to bring it back to roadworthy condition.




                              I painfully would like to place my grievances on record by way of this letter that,

                              1. My car was not repaired properly at the first instance when I left it on 17/07/2011 and returned by you on 26/07/2011 duly said to have been repaired and insurance claims made.
                              2. Your staff are not capable enough to assess the damage and have made an estimate in an hotchpotch manner thereby an insurance claim was not properly lodged by you.
                              3. Even after a lapse of about 2 months your staff or workshop is not able to put my car back into roadworthy condition.
                              4. I am being put into a lot of personal inconveniences and mental trauma by you and your staff without giving any proper answer or definite commitment about the delivery after repairs.
                              5. I had to make too many phone calls and personal visits to your workshop to take delivery of my car when I do not even get a reply from any responsible officer or manager.

                              6. Till this date I am not even informed as to what will be the estimated repair charges.


                              7. I attempted to contact Mr.Prasanth D’souza who deliberately avoids my calls and refuses to come on line or I was not even given an appointment by him to speak about my problems.

                              8. From foregoing, you will note that you have admitted and accepted your failure in rendering the service to a loyal VOLKSWAGEN CUSTOMER and also proved your deficiency in service which is a very befitting case for taking up the issue with the Consumer redressal forum of |Mumbai.


                              9. I am writing this letter to you atleast after receiving the same you will try to rectify your mistakes and take suitable actions to deliver my car after carrying out necessary repairs in complete manner so that my car will not have the same failure.

                              10. I request that my case is attended on top priority and see that the same delivered to me within 7 working days after receipt of this letter failing which I will be forced to take legal action through the Consumer Redressal court to claim the cost incurred for repairing/replacing the defective parts and also the compensations for the entire mental trauma sustained by me by your failure to deliver my car in good condition.

                              Please acknowledge receipt of this letter immediately otherwise it is deemed as your acceptance of the abovesaid charges without any denial.

                                I m Rajeev agrawal from Baazpur.Uttrakhand,,purchased Volkswagon polo top model on 10 th august 2011from Mearuth dealer(Uttarpradesh)..on 22 nd august problem occured,,Coolent dried up...we sent car to Haldwani dealer,,on 25 th august we get it back...on 26 th august again the same problem,we talk to helpline no.,they asked us to again sent the car to dealer,,since 28th august 2011 to the date car is with Haldwani dealer...We are frustrated with the bahaviour and response of the company.
                                What action should I take???

                                  This is to bring to your kind notice that I,Dr. Deepak Sarin,bought a Polo (registration # DL 5CE 3037) from Bhasin Motors,New Delhi,India but within a week the wheel alignment of the car got distorted.

                                  I have got my car rectified from all your workshops SIX times but to no avail.The wheel alignment of my car is still distorted even after SIX FAILED ATTEMPTS from the pathetic workshop engineers.I was really disappointed and frustrated that a car manufacturer as renowned as Volkswagen could deliver such a poor product,and even poorer after sales service.This heart rending incident has ruined all my excitement of buying a new car and the brand value of your esteemed company.Now,after 8 long months of driving this car,I have learnt that this car is a DANGER to my LIFE as I just cannot leave the steering of the car.Is this the kind of poor quality cars your reknowned brand makes which is unsafe for the driver.I don't think I will ever buy a Volkswagen car in my entire life,or recommend anyone in my known circle to do the same blunder that I made.

                                  The most frustrating and agonizing part is that after repeated pleas and contacting the Volkswagen India Helpline (Concern No: CAL2959,Concern No: VWG2689) to have my car corrected,there is no response from the company or the dealer,Bhasin Motors Delhi.Its a shame that because of the poor quality of the product,the client has to undergo such mental trauma,harassment, frustration,threat to his life and wastage of his precious time,energy and hard earned money in maintaining such cars,which are meant for luxury,not discomfort.Last time I had made the request,I got response from two workshops and I requested them to transfer my case to Attrica Motors,as its close to my house.The GM service Mr. Vicky Raina tested my car and told me that he would contact me as and when your engineer would show up,but after repeated calls,he told me TWO MONTHS later that no such thing would happen and that my case has been forwarded to your head office in Pune,which has yet to react.If your company doesn't want to accept that they have manufacturing defects in their only selling product in India,the least I can expect is for them to rectify it.But after repeated mails and pleas,I think the only option left with me is through Consumer Court of India.

                                  I hope you take due notice of this complaint and do the needful to ensure that the error is properly rectified and appropriately fixed to reinforce my lost faith in your esteemed company.

                                    i am really fed-up with your services and your after sale customer service.

                                    I absolutely agree that the service levels are really bad. I got my rear tail light changed and paid more than tha MRP on the light. I still have that MRP marked sticker and the paid bill at Volksagen Service, Metropolitan, Okhla. Dont know what to do with these guys having otherwise good product.

                                      I am Sakshi Aggarwal here. I am resident of Karnal district in Haryana. I purchased Vento Diesel car having Engine No. CLN15957, Chasis No. WVWD11602BT048709 on 20/04/11. On 6 Sept 2011, my husband was driving on Highway. Suddenly one maruti 800 hit our car from at Bonnet side and damage most of the portion of front side of the car. After strike by small car like Maruti 800, Vento could not maintain balance on Highway and finally fell into deep mud hole. Even after such big hit, air bags did not open at the spot and ABS Could not stop the car running only at 90 Km/hr.

                                      After contact the company showroom in Karnal(Haryana)in India, they are responding with one line " Air Bag will open only when car will face more powerful collision and ABS can work only this much of level". What was told at the time of purchase, nothing come true.

                                      I am owning cars from other companies also. But i faced life threatening incident with Volkswagen only. I am seeing whether Volkswagen will take some action and solve my problem as soon as possible.

                                      Would you please follow my case and tell them to solve the problem from the roots as I am working and they make me suffer a lot. This is a very bad reputation to VW cars.

                                        If you are planning to buy a Volkswagen pause read our experience and then decide.

                                        It is not ‘Das Auto’ as they claim.

                                        Firstly, none of the dealers understand what is meant by customer orientation. The dealers change their colors once the sale is closed.

                                        We booked the vehicle through Volkswagen Downtown Bangalore,Magrath road.

                                        Post sales service was horrendous. It took us three months and five follow up calls to get the car papers and RC smart card.

                                        The vehicle pick up is very slow and not encouraging. We had almost decided to surrender back the car. Unfortunately for us our 4 month old Volkswagen Polo had met with an accident and this was the acid test for Volkswagen’s service.

                                        We choose to try with the only other dealer in Bangalore and it was nightmare getting the car repaired from Volkswagen Palace Cross. It was delivered to them on August 10th.

                                        The vehicle was delivered on Wednesday, August 31st after several repeated follow up calls and escalations. It took them almost 3 weeks of ‘service time’. All our excitement went down the drain on inspecting the car as the condition was completely unprofessional and work done on the car was extremely sloppy. There are numerous scratch marks, dents and unfinished edges that illustrate the lack of care with which Volkswagen handle their products On opening the bonnet we were ashamed of having bought this car from this well reputed automobile firm as the insulation/damper was completely torn apart. I have attached a picture of the bonnet after the car came from service. On asking the staff about the problem we were told that a rat had eaten away the insulation over the days of repair.


                                        Personally, I think Volkswagen must pump in as much money into their customer care as they do in marketing their products. From our past experiences with Skoda, Maruti, Fiat and Honda we have never seen such horrible customer service. I would not recommend buying a Volkswagen car to anyone and deeply regret having bought one already.


                                        The special edition of Times Of India with a tablet battery music or silver coated special pull out front page does not make a difference to end consumers.
                                        Volkswagen would be better off improving customer service than spending money on advertising.

                                        It is only now we understand the value of Fiat , Maruthi and Honda service levels.

                                        I have purchased VW Polo petrol in 2011, now I have to take service. I have booked three times but they changed my date. Still I did not get service date. My suggesion is dont go for VW cars.
