I would like to bring the following issues to your notice and for appropriate actions/consideration:

I purchased volkswagan vento 1.6 mpi mt highline 2013 model sedan car on 19th july 2013 through your authorized dealer, m/s ramani cars p limited, madurai branch. It costed me rs.10.72 lakhs and i purchased the car thro car vehicle loan taken from sbi, central branch, madurai.

I’ve carried out all periodical service as per the schedule without any deviations. I never sent the vehicle to any local automobile service vendors even for small check up. I have sent my car only to your dealer m/s ramani cars either at madurai or coimbatore. I have all relevant records with me since the time of purchase.

Now the vehicle has completed only 95633 kms run but i’ve incurred more than rs.75000/- as repair expenses which is exorbitant and not affordable for me. I purchased your car believing that it is a german made and cost of maintenance will be low cost and the service will be top class. However, am disappointed with the way my car is being serviced by your dealer.

I believe that the reason for the unwanted maintenance expenses is due to mechanics/technicians employed at your dealer ship. Those mechanics/technicians knowledge about this high end car is very poor, they could not explain the real problems whenever i left my car for maintenance/faults. They never explained to me clearly the problems of my car. They do not totally resolve my complaints, they do just to close the work card/job sheet and release the vehicle.in the recent months, i have more problems with my car and i am left with leaving the car at their work shop. I am quite surprised to see, volkswagan allows its dealer to employ unqualified auto mechanics/technicians to do maintenance of cars. I am feeling this because of the poor quality of the service being provided by the dealer.

On 21st january 2019 i had sent my car to your m/s ramani cars, coimbatore branch dealer service station with the complaint of servicing/repairing of ecm.

Even after many days of handing over my vehicle to service station, i didn’t receive any proper response about the status of repair works completed/pending in my vehicle and exact delivery date from their end despite of several oral and email reminders. Whenever i called or wrote to them they had repeatedly informed me that ecm spare part is to be manufactured and sent by the manufacturer. This car is being sold by you and am surprised to hear that you have to manufacture ecm upon my request??? It is quite a mental agony to know that spare parts are not available and my car is lying idle for want of a spare part. Meanwhile, i have been paying my emi to the bank.

Upon my continuous follow up, and, after 45 days they delivered my vehicle and after 300 kms run again the ecp signal appears in the dashboard. Hence once again i’ve sent my vehicle to service station. This time they superficially checked the vehicle and said they found problem in the injector and the same was cleaned and it was delivered to me. But, within next two days the same ecp issue recurs and again they took my vehicle to workshop and done some repair work in the injector and charged me rs.1210 as service charges.

But i didn’t find any improvement but faced the same issues again and send back the vehicle for service.

In the light of the above i would like to bring the following points for your consideration:

1. Every time my vehicle has been inspected only by floor mechanic/technician and whatever he is telling i’ve to accept without any option and paying the spare parts amount and service charges, but, there is no change in the vehicle condition.
2. I’m totally a non-technical person and ignorant of what is happening in my vehicle and even after many visit to the dealer workshop, so far, no automobile expert from ramani cars explained me the technical issues to my understanding and to justify the reason for recurrence of the same issues in my vehicle. Given that i am going with the same complaint, it should be the expert who should have explained to me the exact problem of my car and advise me appropriately.
3. On the contrary i was forced to depend on the words of technician and because of his poor capability and expertise i’m not able to find the solution and keeping my vehicle in the workshop.
4. Since jan’2019 nearly 5 times i’ve sent my vehicle ramani cars service station for the same complaint and that too in jan’19 they delivered the vehicle only after 45 days.
5. Every time they are telling different issues and reasoning as usual wear and tear problem.
6. Every month i must pay the emi to sbi at rs.10250/- without proper utilisation of the vehicle. Besides for all my official and personal movements i’m using hired vehicle which is an extra burden for me.
7. Due to the above i’ve undergone unnecessary mental agony and losing my interest on vw brand vehicles.

Now, my question is:

Why i have to invest my money to buy vw brand car and incur huge maintenance expenses because of your dealer’s unqualified technicians?

Why should i depend on your poor service again?

Why should not i claim refund of all expenses incurred by me in this particular complaint from you/dealer?

And, further,

Why should not i claim liquidated damages/compensation through consumer courts for the unnecessary cost incurred by me due to your poor quality volkswagan car (Low cost maintenance-misleading advertisements), dealer’s employment of poor unqualified workmanship and mental agony caused by your authorised service vendor m/s. Ramani cars private ltd., coimbatore.

I expect your immediate explanation for all my above queries and resolve my car issue completely.

I am looking forward to hearing from you within two weeks from this date. If there is no reply from you, it is presumed that you are accepting my complaint and have nothing to explain. Subsequently, i will initiate appropriate legal actions against volkswagan india and your local authorized dealers at coimbatore, madurai.

I am sending this complaint to volkswagan international head office, volkswagan india office for their knowledge.

    Hi sir, my name is NEEL. i bought new GT TSI, last month. from friday i m suffering a problem with my car. when i turn on AC, then compressor start viberate. i need ur help. i went to volkswagen workshop today. but they are saying that GT TSI comes with this type of noice. i went to the workshop again but they didnt take my problem seriously. i dont think so they will solve my problem.

      Booked an slot for car service and didnt get any response from service center for confirmation. I keep on calling service center for car pickup and didnt receive any response. After multiple reminders from past three days and today early morning reminders i got response saying that they cant service my car on booked slot. I had plan of going to mumbai in the morning and i cancelled it only becauae of the time they promised me to do by 4pm.

        I am a regular customer of Volkswagon Gurugram(A unit of Triumph Auto Pvt. Ltd.). I have also taken their AMC. I have insured my car with United India insurance company Ltd. At the time of renewal of my insurance, i was told by insurer that in case of any mishap, the repairing would be done without any hustle and as soon as possible, if I renew from their service centre as we have tie up with some insurance companies. I was convinced and got renewed from their only.

        I met an accident and my car got crashed from front and back on 19 April, 2019, Friday. I took my car to the workshop of Volkswagon Gurugram. I was told that the repairing will start only after survey by insurance company and my car would be given to me in 7 to 8 days. I agreed and left my car there for repairing. I called on 24 April and their representative told me that the claim approved by insurance company is for outside damage only. And when we will open the car there would be inner damage also. Now we will again take approval from insurance company and it will take minimum 10 more days. Insurance company do their survey as described by Volkswagon representatives and the survey must once for each and every part. I am facing a lot of problems without my car and the workshop is just passing the ball to the insurance company. Their service is below par and try to fool me every time I talked them.
        Please look into the matter.

          I got my car serviced at frontier vw gurgaon on 12th - 13th april. I was suggested an amc plan which would take care of the next service cost. After purchasing the plan i got to know that it is dealer specific. I am moving to mumbai and the plan cannot be used there. Moreover, all the discussion with vw representative while purchasing the plan was verbal. The representative did not tell me that the plan works only at the subject dealership. I purchased the plan based on verbal assurance by the representative. So i requested dealership to refund the cost of plan or do some arrangement so that plan can be used in mumbai in next service. However, dealership has denied for the same. They are saying they can neither provide service in mumbai nor they can refund the amount for pack. My details are as follows:

            I draft this mail for a request for a duplicate invoice copy of my vw vento, 2011 model 1.6 l diesel highline car.
            I actually require my car to be re registered to hyderabad from mumbai. I have taken the noc from mumbai and submitted to my rto office. They now ask for the invoice of the car to analyse the then price of the car to prepare the tax amount here. And to my bad luck i have miss placed it.
            My request is, can i receive a copy of my invoice or a letter stating the then price of my car.
            Please help me.

              Dear volkswagen team,

              Until a week ago, i was really a very satisfied customer of volkswagen since last 5 years. I am using vw cars since 2014 & it’s my second car (Vento tsi - sept-2018 registration). I have also played influencer role in car buying decisions for my friends & relatives. At least 9 friends of mine have purchased vw cars due to my strong recommendation.

              I would like to bring into your notice that last week i was about to collide with a truck because of volkswagen’s negligence to my complaint related to safety & manufacturing defect. But somehow i managed to control the car. Soon after this incidence i lost my confidence on vw safety & car quality.

              I had registered following complaint with vw in the month of october-2018 within one month of the car purchase.

              1. Outside air is mixing and foul smell is coming inside the cabin even though i am running the car airconditioner on internal air circulation mode (Fresh air kept off)

              Status - unresolved

              2. Rear shock absorbers making noise (Kach kach)

              Status - unresolved

              Above two complaints are not related to the safety but it must have been resolved by now. No initiative has been taken to resolve the same. Very disappointed

              Now the major concern which i feel is manufacturing defect & has serious concerns about the safety

              3. During last rain in pune in the month of october-2018, i observed water is coming inside the cabin (Drivers side) near brake and accelerator peddle. Same i informed vw service centre and had left my car twice at the service centre to resolve the same. I was being told that they have thoroughly checked & rectifed the issue. But to my surprise during the 1st rain of this season @ pune last week i was driving the car @ 70-80 kmph speed & it was raining, suddenly one water taker was crossing the road but my foot slip down from the brake peddle due to water inside the cabin and on brake peddle. But somehow i managed to skip the mishap. After this incident i thanked god but lost confidence on vw quality & safety standards.

              Please take back your defective car which could have almost taken away my life due to manufacturing defect. Kindly replace the car which meets vw standard.

              I would request vw team to certainty do not compromise with the quality & address to the customer safety issue before it becomes too late which might cause life.

                We bought polo on 5.11.2018. At time of sale they gave us an offer of 100 liter diesel free and shared the voucher for the same and told they will revert how to redeem the same post diwali. It's being more than 5 months we have not received any update on the same.in spite of following up sarfaraz numerous times we got to know that there is no update from the company? Like really?

                I don't understand how does these big companies work? If they have given any offer it should be addressed in the shortest time span. Why do we have to follow up all the time?

                After uploading my complaint here, I immediately received call from dealer and they took a days time to revert with solution. Next day i.e, on 18.04.2019 I received a call and email that it will take time to redeem the voucher but they are agreeing to refund the value of 100 lt diesel via cheque. So I agreed on this. Then on 19.04.2019 it was finalised to issue cheque and they handed over the cheque to me on 20.04.2019. My complaint was resolved in just 2 days after logging complaint here. The only disappointment is that since last 5 months I was following up but there was no positive response. Hope I don't get any chance to file any complaint here in future.

                  From bharat motors bbsr
                  The front shock absorber is making sound when on a speed breaker. The vehicle is only 11months and got to know that these parts are not covered under warranty. Full details will b made available after check up by engineer.

                  But my concern is
                  Vw india. Pls wake up and review the performance of your beloved dealers
                  Who are doing all their killer jobs in the name of service. Check your customers satisfaction status. A less no. Ofvehicles are sold compared to other players like maruti, hyundai, honda, renault, tata and these customers are unhappy. Now the word"why"matters a lot here

                    This is in regard to service done of my POLO car at VW Metropolitan Delhi. I have serious concern with service center.

                    1. They have been disturb the gear shifter setting
                    2. They also dod cheating in feedback system ( they mentioned their Name as VW Safdarganj in place of VW metropolitan so that I can’t able to give the feedback.)
                    3. Other issues also there.

                      This is regard to the car which i bought from evm volkswagen trivandrum on 14 - dec - 2017

                      From the day i bought the car, there are multiple issues with it and the worst thing is the awful experience from the service centre. It's been an year and i have taken it to the service centre in many times. Listing down the issues so far :
                      1. Shock absorber is damaged.
                      2. Vibration in steering.
                      3. Vibration and sound at front and back.
                      4. Door pad got broken and found that in service centre, they have used super glue to fix the same.
                      The whole vehicle has some or the other issues. It is highly inadmissible experience from such a brand. Such a bad customer experience.
                      If all the issues are not fixed within no time, i will have to take a legal step.

                        I had booked volkswagen polo highline plus - petrol carbon steel gray on 11/march/2019 with dealer namely evm volkswagen and was assured that i would get delivery in the month of march 2019. Even in this last week of march, the delivery date was not confirmed by the dealer. On contacting the dealer, they told that the color is out of stock and they can't deliver the vehicle in march. Also, the only option i have is to wait until the stock is available and delivery would be made after another waiting period and no confirmation of delivery date.in india there will be an increase of 1% of road tax and 1% cess proposed in state budget and 10% hike in third party insurance premium.

                        I have certain queries regarding the way i was handled by your dealer: -

                        If delivery is depending on the availability of the vehicle, why the same was not mentioned at the time of booking.

                        The sales executive is telling now that the proceeding of vehicle delivery is on hold - why this is not communicate or informed with us.

                        The finance coordinator collected all the documents for processing the loan on 21/03/2019 and he informed me like all the documents are given to the respective bank and the proceedings are in the final stage. Then i check with on 27/03/2019, he is telling that we didn't proceed anything for my loan application - why this is not informed to us before/why he lied to us?

                        We had already connected with the branch manager and he is admitting that the mistake was from their side. He is telling like there are more than hundred executives are working under his team and he don’t have any system to track the bookings done by all these executives. Also, he is asking me to purchase the vehicle in the new price. - why the branch manager is treating a customer like this? Is there no value for customers money?

                        Why delivery date was not confirmed by the dealer when we book a car? There was no response from the dealer about the loan proceeding and vehicle availability. I was left with no option to purchase another vehicle with in my budget price (Next month price is getting increased) only because of such a fraud and unethical dealing from the dealer side. To my shock, the dealer is now saying that we need to pay the new price (Dealer is not sure about the updated price) which will be a reasonable loss of money and time.

                        This is harassment of customers that i am forced to pay for the deficiency of service by the dealer appointed by volkswagen. I think volkswagen has taken bulk booking from people without ensuring whether it can keep the commitment of delivery the product.

                          I have done my engine side work done by service center and after that some oil leakage problem comes up from upser side of engin I ask to solve that and they said need to replace a part also which cost 20000 aprox
                          And same time some brk issue also come after service and this time also they suggest some part and the cost is 80000/-

                          This is second time my engin open by center and still in problem.

                          Now want to knw that after engin work if oil leakage comes then who shoud me responsible.

                            I bought my volkswagen vento tsi highline plus in october 2018. Since that day i had 3 main issues -

                            Noise in front disc while braking - when i brake and low speeds the car makes a weird sound which is really disappointing.

                            Car pulling towards left - from the first day i bought it it was pulling towards left side which is really dangerous. So i took it to the service centre, they did the wheel balancing and same problem occured nothing changed.

                            Steering issue - my car was making sounds while i was turning the steering left and right. When i took it to the service centre they did some greasing in the suspension and the problem was solved but still i think that was a temporary solution.

                            Tack crack sound coming from door - this is the most weird sound seems like m driving maruti omni this problem didnt solved too.

                            I dont know how many problems will come in my car. It has done 5500kms and is a new car.

                            I am really disappointed by volkswagen. The amount of quality and money they offer while offering those they dont watch the defect and customer issues

                              I purchased ameo 1.2 comfortline (Mh12pt5285) in dec 2017 (15 months ago) and within past 15 months, i have visited volkswagen pune (Vidyut motors) three times for the same issue! My ac stopped working after 2-3 months when i purchased the car, i visited vidyut motors and they made temporary repair and after few more months, it again stopped working! I thought volkswagen is a valuable brand then i started feeling buying a car from vw was a wrong decision. During my first service, i again told them that my ac is not working and again they did a temporary repair and after 2-3 months, ac stopped working! I would suggest vw vidyut motors to hire qualified engineers who can actually find out the correct problem and who can fix it permanently!

                              This was the third time i contacted vidyut motors and told them to take my car from my home as i dont have time to visit the showroom again and again and again! The lady receptionist still requested me to bring my car to their showroom!

                              I spent 3 hours there in showroom while the receptionist was not even bothered to call the concerned manager! When i asked the receptionist to contact my advisor, she answered that the manager forgot his phone on his desk and the funniest thing was, the advisor was roaming around her and me, and she is not even calling him to discuss my problem while, i already had spent almost 3 hours sitting idle there!

                              Such unprofessional behaviour shows the value of vw customer and after sales service.

                              Finally i got a chance to speak to my manager (Mr kishore) as i myself followed him to talk! Mr kishore said he will give the exact date of delivery in 1-2 days!

                              I finally contacted him after 5 days and he said that problem has been identified and car will be delivered by friday (5 april 2019)

                              Date: 4 april 2019 (Today)

                              I contacted mr kishore to get status of my car as i am supposed to get the car tomorrow.
                              Mr kishore said he never said that he will deliver the car by friday. That part which needs to be changed has not come yet and upon asking how many more days it may take, he didnt had any concrete answer.

                              1. If i am writing such a long email, you can understand my furstration!
                              2. Pune city has worst transport service across the nation one cannot survive without personal vehicle and i have already spent so much of my money on ola-uber for my daily commute to office and home that costs me almost 400 per day (400*11=4400 so far) and 3 leaves taken from my office!

                              What i need :
                              1. I need my car at my home asap without proper and permanent repair.

                              2. I will not come to your showroom again as i dont want to take another leave just to sit there for 2-3 hours long time, i need my car at my home and i will not pay any delivery charges as it is your manufacturing fault and i was not responsible for this!
                              We hardly get 8 leaves in a year and i dont want to spend 4th leave for the same reason!
                              3. If the same problem starts again! I will escalate this email to germany!

                              The service center will play very good drama, once your warranty got over then they will start charging you(you might buy a new car, parts are costly). Your car is a manufacturer defective one.
                              As per my information, if your car age for more than two years, you can not file a case in consumer court. So Think bigger and go for it

                                  This is thejas kumar kb from mysore, proud owner of wolkswagen polo highline tdi, i got serviced the above mentioned vehicle on 6th feb 2019, at kpr cars mysore karnataka
                                  On 29/03/2019 i took my vehicle to dharmastala then subrahmanya temple, its almost around 200+ kms from mysore, while i driving there was no problem in my vehicle, the drive was very smooth also, suddenly without any symptoms my vehicle was got stopped, i was surprised that my car is very fine and i had confident coz i got serviced my vehicle just 1and half month back, we r 5 family members in my car with my parents, they were bit aged and they r sick also, i had rsa facility so i called the number which has given in the certificate, it takes half an hour to contact them, then they came to the point after almost 3 hours, i have requested them to drop the vehicle to mysore showroom, but they r telling its not possible to drop there, we will drop in mangalore padil vw showroom then i sent my parents by hiring the vehicle to mysore, i went with rsa people to mangalore, unfortunately that was sunday showroom was closed, then i stayed at mangalore next day when i went sharp 10. Am to the service centre they told me to wait till 12. Pm even after 12 they r telling we have so many vehicles for service come tomorrow, but i have lots of work in my office even now election is going on… i said i can’t please check the vehicle and let me know what’s the reason, they r not ready to look my vehicle they telling the possibility that timer belt is damaged we will check it tomorrow
                                  But i was not able to stay again there because i am working at district collector office as ps to dc, as of now election is going on i am not getting leave also, so called one of my uncle he is staying near mangalore to look in to the matter, even he is also busy but he came next day, again they r telling come after 12.30 pm, but till 3.00 pm they dint say anything, after that they called me and telling me that my car has major damage, including timer belt he told me list of parts were damaged and it may cost around 1.15 lakhs including service charges,
                                  I am really surprised, without my any fault how can i bare that huge amount
                                  Its really lapse in service which has made at mysore kpr cars, they have not checked properly, if they checked my vehicle that damage wouldn’t happened,
                                  Even i told those fellows to drop the vehicle to mysore when my vehicle got breakdown near subrahmanya but they r refused to drop at mysore

                                  Now my vehicle is at mangalore wolkswagen service near padil,
                                  I am really lost confident about vw vehicle because the service is really very bad,
                                  My request is … the company should bare entire the amount whatever is happened urgent reply is awaited

                                    Hi am gurpinder singh from india. I own vw vento highline, bought it in may 2017.. I got call few time ago from the agency to avail an offer in which i have to renew my car extended warranty for one year as it was getting expire on april 2018 and in this i have to pay for one year warranty approx 16000 inr and i will get free one part of my car repaint from body shop. Now the thing is at that time i asked the personnel that what if when it will get over then how much i have to pay for again getting it exteended again for next one year.. They replied i have to just pay the half the amount means total cost of 2 years extended warranty was 26 inr approx and i already paid 16000 rest i have to pay. But when today i approached them they said it's just add on warranty and for the very next time i have to pay more like 21000 inr approx. They did fraud with me. I want crystal clear solution to this else i will sue the agency and the company
