Our whirlpool refrigator has been giving us problems ever since we purchased around 5 years ago. Almost every year we have spent thousands of rupees to get it repaired. 3 weeks back, the fridge stopped working. The compressor had apparently broken. We paid 7000 Rupees to get the compressor replaced. 2 days later the fridge again stopped working. It has been 10 days since lodging complaint...still no repair done. So we paid 7000 INR just for nothing.
The customer service department in Pune is absolutely pathetic. Here are my experiences

1. On lodging complaint, they said, someone will be there in 24 hours. After 2 days no one came to fix. On calling again, they said 24 hours means 8+8+8 hours, i.e. 3 days!!
2. The repairman came and went back again saying that a defrost trigger part is to be ordered and will take 2-3 days more. 7 days have past, still no fix. On calling again for status update we got answer -"did you not get phone from our Pondicherry store-house?". He was asking us the status!! They have no idea what is happening
3. 10 days later we call again. They say, the complaint is closed!! Apparently someone visited our house and found it locked and went back. No phone call was made before coming

We got so fed-up that we were forced to purchase another brand-new refrigator (obviously not whirlpool) in spite of spending lot of money on the whrilpool fridge compressor.

My advice to anyone reading this...Even if someone pays you money to purchase a whirlpool product, DONT DO IT! The company products are pathetic, 3rd grade and its service, especially the Pune/PCMC area is apparently run by lazy, un-professional, careless and good-for-nothing .

    Hi Team ,

    This is regarding complain against Western Refrigeration co. (Your service center in Noida). There was a small fault of likage in my washing machine for that they took my washing machine on[protected]Job sheet no 11890) after saying that they will deliver in 2 days . But its been more then 13 days i am continuosly following with them .but everytime they are saying Machine is on way .So i left my office on Last monday to recive it but no one came again on tuesday same thing happened. On wednesday they told me that machine will be repaired on thrusday .

    There was a small problem of leakage for which they took my machine and told me that they have done chemical cleaning without informing me.I have already buyed your chemical cleaning products earlier .So how can they charge me for chemical cleaning .??

    This is cheating with customer and i am contacting consumer forum for this as i have lost my salary for three days (waiting for you on wrong commitments )which is around 30,000/- also without my concern they have done chemical wash and putting charge on me.

    Taking to your customer care Mr. Ghashyam morya ,he told me that this is process so there customer care is also of no use.. GB[protected]

      I booked a refrigerator ( Model W/pool IC355 Neo FCGB4 Graphite13830) at Sony Electronics,22-86, Chandanagar, Hyderabad. They supplied the fridge on same day at about 2230 hrs on 01/07/2012. Very next day it is observed that there is a hole at the side of the lower handle. When telephonically asked regarding this, they told it is normal. But on further enquiry it is found that it is a manufacturing defect. My shop is not taking any interest to get it changed. They are telling that it the responsibility of the Whirlpool company. Company telling that send the fridge to company at my own expenditure. As I purchased the new fridge from the shop then it should be the responsibility of the shop to deliver a correct item.What should I do now? More over the company did not come for demo. After repeated request they came.

        SIr,
        I purchased a WHIRLPOOL AC and had a maintenance contract with the company till 2013. On the 23rd of July 2013 ,this AC stopped cooling and a complaint (No GB[protected] ) was registered at their complaint centre. After 2 days one mechanic comes to my house ,changes the capacitor and said it will work now.

        Within 2 days the same problem of non cooling developed again and another complaint given. This time they took the machine to their service centre. I make a call the next day and the person from this centre tell me that the compressor is not working and this has to be replaced. Since I had an AMC contract with this company , I could feel the extreme reluctance of these people to repair my AC.

        I have been making daily calls to their centre and talked to Mr Rizwan , on one ocassion he tells me that the company is not sending the compressor . Once he tells me a compressor came , but that was for a split Ac. Since 3 days Mr Rizwan has stopped picking up my calls.

        With difficulty I could get the number of ANKIT BANSAL who is the ASM , I believe , of Noida area . I was able to talk with him once and appraised him of the severe problem facing my old mother who is without the service of an AC thanks to the casual and careless attitude of WHIRLPOOL staff and in this hot ,humid weather . He promised to call back within half an hour after getting details of this case from his service people . Since that time I have not heard from Mr Bansal and he refuses to pick up my phone if I call him .

        I have sent several e-mails to their [protected]@whirlpool and I have not received a single reply.

        Today, on the 11th day of my AC being sent for repair , I get a call from the technician at the service centre that my AC has been repaired by changing the relay only !!!!!!

        For days together I was being told that the compressor needs to be changed and now after so many days ,this person tells me there is nothing wrong with the compressor only the relay needs to be changed.!!

        By the way, I am still waiting for this AC to come back to me.
        What kind of country we are living in , where people break their commitments, heartless to others in difficulty all for the sake of avoiding to adhere to your committments for a few rupees ....

          I (Sudheer Singh)purchased a whirlpool fully automatic washing machine model no. 13625 on 30 Jun2012(senator 6kg) from Razzle Dazzle Electronic B.O.-10 Vigyan Vihar, Opp HDFC Bank Ashoka Niketan, Delhi-92 is not working from demo time, appx 6 experts and engineers has been visited but till date condition is still remain. After seeing the washing machine all engineers are saying for replacing the washing machine with in six-seven days but now any body is not responding and not attending my calls.
          Now you people dont even know the problem, plz replace my washing machine as stated by company engineers as soon as possible because I am facing the problem, before I take further serious action on your company.

            Purchased a Fridge (W/POOLIC355Neo FCGB4 Graphite(13830) on 01/07/2012 Via credit invoice no-CR-589. Item delivered same day at 2200 Hrs. After receive, no service engineer came for DEMO though asked for at the customer care.After 15 days they came and when asked for a particular manufacturing defect, they told that they are not knowing about this. Very next day I told my dealer (Sony electronics,22-86/1, Chandanagar. Hyderabad-500050 , TIN :[protected]) . They also took my complaint and assured me that if it is a manufacturing defect, it will be replaced. But after one week also passed no result. Please do something.

              I am using a Whirlpool310 Ltr fridge for the last 5 Yrs. But I am in disbelief taht a company of such a repute can sell such poor quality product. Pl let me clarify its not me my three friends who have the same product are facing the same problem.

              1. My compressor failed exactly two days after expiry of warranty period.
              2. The main door handle broke away this year.
              3. Chiller tray cover broke down this year.
              4. The biggest design failure, now my main door top hinge has broken. (Complaint No. DL [protected])
              Pl dont think i am a careless user. I used my previous fridge of Godrej make 165 Ltrs for 17 yrs.
              Now after launching a complaint on 25 Jul 12 about the hinge I am waiting for the mechanic to come with the right part to replace the item .
              All this is happening while I am sitting at Delhi. God save rest of the places.

              Whirlpool Refrigerator — poor quality - refrigerator

              Dear Sir

              I had purchased a Whirlpool 350littre refrigerator four years back. My customer id is 4810390 ( New Delhi) It is not working and complainted on 31.01.09. It was taken to workshop for repair and delivered back on 08.02.09. But the complainted was not rectified. Again complaint on 09.02.09 attented but still even today (10.02.09) the same problem remains. Refrigerator is not giving enough cooling. please replce it, it is deffective piece ever since I purchased this very six months there a problem.

              I have purchase a Wirlpool Fridge (340 Ltrs, double door-black colour ) from Croma, Faridabad on 05.04.2009, few days back when I try to open the main door handle is gets break into two pieces from the middle. Sir, I am surprised to see the quality, its break... only within few days. then i put an complaint in the Croma Customer care, one day one gentelmen from wirlpool came & he just fix the handle with adhesive and tight the same with Black electricals Tape & said if you want to replace it then you have to pay for it. We complain again to Croma, this time we receive only phone call from Wirlpool that they will not replace it.

              Sir, the handle is the most important thing in any fridge and such pootr quaity, and moreover such bad behaviour of the after sales service peoples , that also from the company like wirlpool is surprisingly shameful.

              Sir, a customer is the most valuable asset for any organisation, and such activities will reduce the creditability of the company within the customers. you are requested t kindly arrange to replace the handle immediately.

              This is Very disaappointing, We bought Wrilpool's Fridge 7 months back. and now everyday we are facing one or other problem. we have registered the complaints many times and an executive had come but he could solve the problem. Following are the problem with ur brand:
              1. Cooling
              2. Door makes lot of noise like an old one.
              3. water is driping.

              I just want to say now its been a month that we are complaning and still at the same place. Can i realy expect that my problem will be sloved ASAP? so that i can also say that i made a right choice.

              Whirlpool — Low quality of Refrigerator

              I bought wirlpool double door refrigerator almost 4 months back. From day one i have been facing issues of extra freezing( in lower compartment). I kept following up with wirlpool and they kept sending different technicians every other day without knowing what previous technician has changed. This went almost for 3 months and the the problem persisted for 3 months and my electricity bill was almost doubled. Finally they agreed to change my refrigerator. I though finally God has listened to me and my mistake of buying wirlpool refrigerator is actually not a mistake. But that was my illusion. The very next day when i started the new refrigrator it was not cooling at all. All the vegetables, milk and everthing are getting rotten up again. I am trying to call up wirlpool and no one is turning up now. Not sure what to do now.

              two and half year filter is normal working contiction now ro is blackrd replace the new filter again two week same complint service center is no good and proper not respons so whirlpool is bad no good also

                I raised complaint that washing machine was not working. service man came changed the mother board. I worked 3 months. After that again same problem faced. We called same service man on last of June,2012. He came and taken mother board replacement. He did not replaced the mother board yet.Every day WE calling him and he is not responding to phone calls at all. If he responds, he says he will now then, but he did not come. It is already 1month over.

                Whirlpool Washing Machine — Washing machine is not replaced

                After 2 or 3 days i got a call from WHIRLPOOL office that, the machine which i purchased from the dealer that model production is closed so i won't get the replacement, i have 2 options that which he told me :-

                1. Either cancel the replacement and get it repaired on my own or from the dealer from which i had purchased, Or take a new machine of another model of the
                same company.

                2. Or can place a request to cancel the order and get the money back from whirlpool office the amount which i have purchase the machine, and it will take
                approximately 15 - 25 days for the same.


                After this i went to dealer requesting him to look into the case and help me as i have purchased the machine from him.
                they straight forward told me to consult the whirlpool for any issue, there is nothing they can do.

                and then continuous calls for the next few (2 or 3 days) they told me that i have an option to buy a machine of any upgraded model of the same company and pay the amount which is required for the new model.

                They are treating me like that i am requesting them or they are doing this as a favor to me without taking any money from me.

                This is the whole thing, i am in a problem please help me about the same as after spending 11500 rupees and 250 rupees for the loading of machine from dealers shop to my home they are treating me like this.

                  my name is gopal goel... on 21st july 2012 i filed complaint at whirlpool service center about the damage of my refrigetor. After 2 days their engineer named Aftab came and after cheking the product said that wiring of fridge is wrong and it will give electrict current on starting
                  then he said that compressor isn't working and he would have to take it to the company for repairing..it will cost 7000 rupees...

                  on 25th that is today company called us for confirming the deal but we denied
                  So we contacted our local engineer and he checked that relay, condensor and overload are missing from the product. so he installed new parts...

                  that means AFTAB has misleaded me and he took the parts of my refrigetor with him without informing me...

                  they are making business from it...they can't be trusted...i want a action agaist this fraud company

                  Whirlpool of India Limited — Non-performing 285 litre Refrigerator and company not helping us

                  Refrigerator is not performing. Compressor is under 7 years warranty. Company is not intersted and is not able to help.
                  Registered complaints for 8 months and then moved to Consumer Forum but company is having lawyer and resources.
                  Feeling helpless.

                  I don't know procedures and law to tackle with such a non-caring company.

                  Whirlpool 285 litres fridge — Fridge not working

                  Last year we got an AMC done for our 3 year old fridge. For the last 2 months the fridge is not working properly. Reapeated gas chargings onsite have not helped. Inspite of telling the customer service guys taht there is an inherent leakage which you ppl have not been able to detect they are not bothered.

                  I dont have any further respect for Whirlpool
                  For my parents well being, I had purchased a big size refrigerator.
                  Since then i am having problem with it.
                  Once its LCD plate got fused and with no response from company
                  i got it corrected paying INR 3000.
                  Even though the fridge is in warranty period
                  again the same problem has emerged after 2 years
                  In this hot summers my parents are annoyed by my gift to them
                  I am very much hurt by this
                  from last 15 days we had given a complaint at the center.
                  Everyday the guy takes 2-3 days spare time and does not visit
                  I am so sorry to say but its true
                  LG Customer care is excellent
                  There products are much much better than yours
                  To any one i will ever meet will not recommend Whirlpool
                  My father had a talk at your Faridabad office Customer care
                  No doubt they very well assisted.

                  But the problem is still the problem with no help

                  If its that way i will surely consult an advocate and will file a case against company's poor service in the consumer court

                  I am ready to pay amounts in court will take the thing high
                  Yes, I am also having some problems in my refreg. since I have purchased. I think this is very shameful for the Company.

                    The double door - No frost fridge purchased by me at m/s MGB Tirupur is not working from March 2012. It is under extended warranty period. I have given the complaint to the company and they have come and filled the gas five times, then changed the compressor thrice and still it is not functioning properly. My phone no. is [protected] and if you see the details in this phone no. you can see how many times I have given the complaint from March 2012. I have sent mails to the customer care for more than 20 times. Still they could not correct it and now they say they will replace the fridge. For this I have to pay 50 % of the fridge cost. My experience with m/s WHIRLPOOL INDIA PVT LIMITED is very bad and I will not buy their products at all in the future. If you want the mail communications I will send, if needed.                       I have purchased a Washing Machine SuperWash XL A-72h during Dec 2010.

                      I guess I made a wrong choice, from the time I bought this machine there has been a complaint very frequently and I am very unsatisfied with this machine, I regret for having bought this product from Whirlpool.

                      I thought this was the best product in the Semi Automatic Category but my thought was proved wrong.

                      I,strongly recommend that I get a replacement for my washing machine to be a loyal Whirlpool customer. Hope my problem is understood and this problem solved by replacement as there is always only a temporary solution.

                          Last year May 2011 We have purchase AC. unfortunately we have changed my house & shifted in another house . Due to this we have not fitted the new A/c on my new house .as we are using the old a/c .

                          Two months before we have fitted new AC .As we have not used this a/c hence their is no need to service this.

                          Few days before we got information that A/S servicing period is valid for one year upto three services . As you one year period has just completed . hence for first service of your a/c we have to pay as service charges.

                          We are requesting you as we have no idea for this service policy + not used this A/C last year .

                          Hence their is no need to service the AC without using .currently new A/c is working in good condition . & no problem with AC.

                          We have requeste to whirlpool customer care to provide free Services to newly purchased A/c.

                          whirlpool customer care behaviour is very irresponsible agains customer comlaints.
                          it does note matter what ever be the soloution.it may be possitive or may be negative. Bur atleast they must reply on customer mails . even repeted mails they does not reply on mails . this is very bad behavioury for a reputed company against their customer complaints.
                          I dont know whirlpool company will be sentive about my complaint . This is worst experience for customer not getting reply of mails. details of mail are as below .

                          We have purchased one AC in year 2008. & a double door frige on 2006.



                          Last year May 2011 We have purchase another AC. unfortunately we have changed my house & shifted in another house . Due to this we have not fitted the new A/c on my new house .as we are using the old a/c .



                          Two months before we have fitted new AC .As we have not used this a/c hence their is no need to service this.



                          Few days before we got information that A/S servicing period is valid for one year upto three services . As you one year period has just completed . hence for first service of your a/c we have to pay as service charges.



                          We are requesting you as we have no idea for this service policy + not used this A/C last year .

                          Hence their is no need to service the AC without using .currently new A/c is working in good condition . & no problem with AC.



                          We are requesting you as a loyal customer Please provide free Services to newly purchased A/c.

                            • Harassment by whirlpool customer care and service
                            Dear Sir,

                            It is with deep regret and disappointment and as a consequence of REPEATED HARASSMENT by Whirlpool Customer Care and Service persons that I email you this letter.
                            My name is Om Prakash and I am living in Darbhanga, Bihar. We own a Whirlpool Ice Magic , Model:13841 S. No. INC[protected] refrigerator, purchased in 19th April 2012.

                            On 4th July, 2012, the refrigerator stopped working and I booked a complaint with Whirlpool customer care. The complaint was registered and one service technician was assigned. After three days on Sunday 7th July, attended the service call at our house and after assessment, gave diagnosis that compressor is not working and to be replaced. As per his statement compressor is not in our stock, will be available after two-three days.
                            Continues i am following up your customer care but outcome is zero. One service engineer came & said that weather is not appropriate for replacing of compressor. He just made us fool.
                            This episode has caused me and my family member’s immense stress. If I do not get service in next 24 hours, I will register complaint with Consumer Court.

                              I was , till today a very happy Whilpool user,i bought whirlpool icemagic F41 elite in 2005 , on recommendation of my regular shop in panvel.It got some problem and stopped suddenly on 14 th and i registered a complaint on [protected] and was very happy when the person on the other end told me that soem one will call me in 2 hours.I thought we , as Indians are so lucky to have the WORLD CLASS customer service , calling back in 2 hours!!!.but that was like a bad dream, it si 2 days and no one has bothered to call me back,today when called the same number and asked explanation , the repetitive reply, when i asked to be connect to the seniors , so that i could complain to them , standard reply, all seniors are busy , i said i am ready to hold TILL ETERNITY , she hang me up!!.2 hoots for the service .may be i was expecting too much , we ,live in same old fashioned world , where once the product is sold , IF THERE IS PROBLEM the company will say , GO HANG U R SELF .

                              The Whirlpool fridge that we bought two years ago has been giving us problems from the very begining. The handle breaks off or the internal circuit stops working.
                              In April, 2013 I made a complaint that our fridge had stopped functioning. A man was sent over and informed us that a defective curcuit had been placed in the fridge and hence needed to be replaced. This was shocking to begin with. After over a week of complaints this was replaced by an &quot;original curcuit&quot;. Thereafter there was no cooling happening in the fridge, an engineer was sent over to repair the curcuit. Thereafter the fridge stopped working again. Now they are saying that they have on original parts to replace the second defective curcuit placed in our fridge.
                              It would be sensible for Whirlpool to invest in making their products more effecient rather than hiring big stars to endorse their products. That would ensure customer satisfaction.

NEXT DAY I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SERVICE CENTRE IN CHANDIGARH (INDUSTRIAL AREA ,PHASE II, PLOT NO 78) & SAME DAY THEY TOOK MY MACHINE TO CENTRE FOR REPAIR.AFTER MANY CALLS I GOT MACHINE BACK & FOUND IT IN NON WORKING CONDITION WITH WATER LEAKAGE.

                                  ABOVE ALL THEY HAD POOR KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR SKILLS & JOB AND EXTREMELY RUDE BEHAVIOUR. NOW MY MACHINE IS NON FUNCTIONAL.KINDLY LOOK INTO MATTER ASAP

                                  Whirlpool — Poor service and customer harassment

                                  I had bought a Whirlpool Microwave Oven 20G Magicook(Item code [protected]) from Ezone, City center, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on 14/02/2009.

                                  1.On the second day of purchase(Ezone, Banjara Hills),there was a problem with the door and it wouldnt turn on. I never got a replacement and the whirlpool technician put some plastic tape inside the door switch and rectified it.

                                  2. There was a problem on the ON button in early Sept 2010. I lodged a complaint. The technician came one day and said the panel need to be replaced. Then started my wait. The part was not available in the stores and all my complaints were closed afterwards without solving my problem.
                                  I made 3 complaints one by one. No body bothered to call me.
                                  Complaint numbers are HD[protected], HD[protected], HD[protected].
                                  I fail to understand why no one takes the responsibility in your service centres, stores, technician and customer care. Not a single person has even once called and told me the status of my complaint. Everytime I need to call them.They closed the first two complaints without informing me and i got a sms. My microwave still doesnt work. They say the part is not available. They dont say how much time they will require.

                                  Now after hundreds of calling to top people, a technician came with a new panel on 12th Oct,2010. After putting the panel it too didnt work then they said it was not the problem with the panel but the electronic board inside.(Is it my fault for their wrong diagnosis initially?). They said the electronic board will cost Rs 2800 to replace.(My Microvave oven cost Rs 5390). Again after frequent appeals to top people I agreed to get it replaced with a discount (Rs 1500 total). My job has not been done. One of the service person in Hyderabad is so arrogant that he doesnt admit his mistakes.
                                  Still I am at square one at the mercy of the dishonest people of the company.
                                  Is Whirlpool a multinational company? Disgusting company and disgusting service and care it has. Isnt here a procedure to replace a machine if its part is unavailable or out of stock after a certain period of time. It is nearly 2 months since I lodged this complaint.
                                  I hope I will get my microwave replaced free of cost.

                                    Whirlpool fridge bought on January 2012 of 40k is a waste for me.
                                    Complaint done on June 28th 2012 and since then nothing has been done. The shelves of the fridge is all the time WET, the DOOR gasket or rubber is totally bent, the vegetables and fruits kept inside are all wet and have to throw the next day as they get ROTTEN...actually.
                                    This complaint is again been done on 4th July 2012. But nothing been done.
                                    I've talked to Indore MP people, MS ARTI, MR HIMANSHU some 10 times each but no response.
                                    A week ago they said the fridge will be replaced, but give us transport fees, i.e 500/...UNBELIEVABLE...got this fridge 6 months ago, in warranty and asking me for 500 bucks...WHAT A SHAME.
                                    Already sent my bill copy to Mr Himanshu Rawat last week but NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
                                    STOP HUMILIATING ME AND DO SOMETHING...

                                    I purchased a 310 LTR FUSION REFRIGERATOR with serial number inc[protected] and model 10603. The door is completely damaged and i have intimated GLOBAL (Authorised Service Centre) at cochin and i am waiting for their response for the past 5 months and there is no reply or action. i am pretty sad to inform this and being a reputed manufacturer and as this model is not even outdated as they are still selling the same model in india at present. Kindly take up this matter for immediate action or else i will have to buy a new refrigerator for this reason.
