I had purchased a Whirlpool Refrigrator 230 FUSION SUPREME on 20 Oct. 2008 with a 5 year warranty. It was not functioning properly as stopped cooling for 4 to 5 hours now and then. I registered a complaint with service request no. HR[protected] on 13 June 2012. The service engineer suggested that there was a problem with the compressor and it needed to be replaced. I paid Rs.1700 for the new compressor.. But even after the replacement,the problem persisted and even worsened. The refrigrator now does trip after a particular temperature is maintained. I called the customer care atleast 20 times only to get fake assurances that my complaint will be rectified within 24 hours each n everytime i called. And now 9 days have gone by without any response.

Annoyed and harassed by the situation, frustrated by false promises and dissatisfied by services of Whirlpool India, I am writing this letter. Hopefully this will solve my problem.

    A service request for a Front Loading Washing machine, which started making loud noise, only during spin for drying, just after completion of warranty period of 2 years, was made on 08.05.12, vide SR number KL[protected]. The work was allotted to Sri Sukanta Ghosh who wanted to visit on the same evening after finishing other works in nearby area. As I told him not to come in the evening hours but on next day, he himself cancelled my call. However, when I contacted again on next day he attended the job. He just opened the backside, telephoned someone (may be a senior engineer) and confirmed that “bearing needs to be replaced, may be at a cost of around Rs.5/6 thousands”. He took Rs.395 as “Inspection Charge” only. I wrote on the Service Request form “The machine was not working properly for which the call was made. However, the rectification could not be done by the Service Personnel”. Hence, I did not disclose him the Satisfaction Code provided by the company at the time of registration of complaint. He immediately requested my cellphone to make a phone call and I found he made another call for the same work (SR number KL[protected]) and noted himself the Satisfaction Code. From all these types of behaviour I doubted his credential of having enough knowledge and experience of proper rectification. I am confident that replacement of a major spare at such a huge expenditure just after completion of warrant period is not expected from a machine of highly reputed manufacturer “Whirlpool”. I remember, this type of problem occurred about 1 year back also and the mechanic deputed by Whirlpool could not rectify. The next day a senior engineer was deputed and he solved the problem in a minute telling that it was just a balancing problem. Under this circumstance I requested the company to depute a senior engineer urgently to solve my problem. The company did not reply at all.

      I purchased a Whirlpool Ice magic Fridge on 6th May 2012 and it suddenly stopped working on 5th June 2012. After 7 days service engineer came and recommended for the replacement of appliance.I have called hundreds of time to customer care and other concerned persons for the status but no luck. Service center number is always ringing but it seems that no one is there to entertain the call.

      I just wanted to raise my concern regarding the mental harassment I am going through in peak summer time. It has been more than 15 days and nothing is clear or certain whats going on !

        Washing machine not working..complaint done..assurance given within 24 hours .. But no result ..no body attended the complaint ..its neen almost one month now ..reminded many a times 64668

        Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine — Service after sales hopeless in Hyderabad

        We have recently shifted to Hyderabad from Chennai during which our washing machines, times knob had broken for which we have raised more than 4 requests and complaints for which Whirlpool has not even considered to come home and check and let us know the status. Only once on phone they said that they didnt have the part with them and that they need to get it from Delhi. It has been 2 months now that they have not even bothered to respond and we are performing puja to the washing machine. I have never seen such a hopeless service of this product.
        no attention on customers complain.

            With deep regret and frustration, would like to share my inexperience as a customer on product, customer service and poor/no responsiveness

            It’s been little over 2 years that I got into this state of misery, when I first replaced my Samsung washing machine (that I used with absolute no issues ) with the Whirlpool 7K front loading Sports model. Immediately within six months under warranty, the entire drum assembly was replaced, That time only I asked your technician for a replacement as was not comfortable with this product, but then was given a false assurance that there will be no problem and is just one off..after that I have had series of problems …replacement of
            1. Power card,
            2. User card - twice,
            3. Electric heater,
            4. bearing ..
            5. door assemble,
            6. rubber seal..

            except the body which is also of an extremely poor quality .. I reckon every part has changed. Please understand the poor Turnaround time to fix the issue results in the poor availability of the washing machine is no more that 60% which resulted into enormous expense from my end,
            1. To hire a temporary maid to wash clothes (6K INR in 2 years),
            2. Based on your technician advice got the entire electric circuit checked (2K INR for this) – no problem reported though.
            3. Paid for the spare part when the machine was out of warranty (4K INR)
            4. Based on your technician advice put some chemicals / softening agent – (2.5K INR) - that I have not been using when used Samsung
            5. Took AMC (~ 3K INR ) which is ongoing took sometime end of January or February 2012 .

            Now again immediately after taking AMC, the machine went down in couple of weeks for pump not working and after multiple follow-ups I was told it needs a replacement but spare part is not available and again took 2 weeks to inform me that the machine needs a replacement that too after me calling multiple time, and requested me to present original bill (made me laugh), though I after a lot of struggle could get the bill and produced the same to them. Its nearly 4 weeks now no action been taken on this .. though have called not less than 15 times to your call centre ([protected]) spoke to Miss Shuba of Escalation department and kameshwari of replacement department .. (all talk with no substance).. “Apologies for the inconvenience caused” , “Understand your problem” et all.. sick of listening all these Gyan, as a customer, I need a quick solution to my problem .. and this inefficiency within your customer service team.. zero collaboration between your multiple department has really make me feel bad about my choice.. I am not going to stop here .. will launch a parallel campaign to ask people not to buy Whirlpool product if my request has not been taken up with in3 working days from now. .. Kameshwari gave me a lame excuse of she has been reaching to my old number (not sure why , as the new number was shared with them earlier only) .. though again shared the new number but then also she didn’t revert back to me, its more than 8 days .. I am highly frustrated, disgruntled customer of whirlpool and feel like replacing all other appliances of whirlpool at the first opportunity, due to all the in experience I had in this particular case… It’s an unfortunate that company spent million of dollars on Advertisement and publicity but don’t understand the power of mouth publicity, if you then would have not mishandled me in this manner.

            Dropping a note to global team as feel they can quick take some action with the local team here in India Bangalore .. Appreciate a response back from your end …

              Sir, we had complained many times in the regard of cooling problem in AC but we get poor response in this concern. Actually in our AC the problem start in such a way that; after switching on of AC it gives cooling only for 10-15 minutes then it automatically starts to gives heating. In this concern we make our complained on 16/5/2012 but the engineer came on 22/5/2012. After that he gave us a service request form with Gas leakage problem written on it and told us, they have to take away the indoor with them to check the leakage, their second visit was on 5/6/2012 and they recommend us that the indoor is ok but there is a problem in COMPRESSOR of outdoor and they suggest that to give the reciet so they will issue a new compressor for the AC.But we have lost our reciet & the dealer is out of station and we are unable to contact him. so we have to purchase a new COMPRESSOR ,SO TELL US THE SERVICE CHARGES FOR ITS PURCHASING.

              Whirlpool / Ac — AC NOT REPAIRED UNDER HOMONTHS JUNE TO AUGUST CARE FOR 3 AND HALF M

              Dear Sir,
              I have a whirlpool AC under home care scheme.
              My AC WINDOW TYPE became faulty in May 2011. The AC Remote was not working. I lodged a complaint but did not down the number.
              Finally I lodged another complaint on 13 Jun tAND WAS ASSIGNED COMPLAINT No GB [protected].
              Initial visit was after a month and the Mechanic replaced the PCB, But the remote did not work. After that the complaint was reopened and a fresh PCB was brought . but that too was tried and the remote did not work. There after I was told that the Fan motor is not working and that the part would be replaced the next day. The Mechanic disassembled the AC but did not return to repair. He was contacted again and he came after a week that the records regarding my AC didi not appear in the database and asked for a photocopy of the homecare registration.The Mechanic Mr Khan assured that he would come the next day as the fan motor had to be replaced as that was faulty. However there was no response.
              In the meantime I approached your customer care several times. Finally I was given the numberof the following

              Mr Naresh Gupta the Manger of Service Center
              Mr Anil the Noida supervisor tele mobile [protected]/[protected]
              Mr Khan Area Manager Number [protected].

              Mr Naresh Gupta has been telling me since the last 10 days that we will get it repaired the next day as soon as the parts arrive.He assured that the repair would be done on Sunday07 August but no one turned up nether did he attend the telephone. On being contacted to day he replied that he has not got the part and also he denied having told me that someone would attend the complaint on sunday.
              Mr Anil' s mobile and telephone was tried a number of times on a number of days but no one picked the telephone.
              Area Manager Mr. Khan said that he would get back to me within half an hour but he neither contacted me nor responded to my calls thereafter.

              In the meanwhile my AC is lying dia assembled for the last 15 days and non functional for the whole of summers.

              This has resulted in my having wasted my money on your home care scheme and whirlpool has not fulfilled its sla for homecare.
              May I request you to refund my money for home care and have my AC replaced, as also to take the necessary action against the erring 0officials who have not even bothered to respond to my calls, May I also request you to compenstae ne for the harassement caused to me.failing which I will be compelled to approach the consumer court if I do not have a response within 24 hours.

                We have raised complaint that our A.C remote sensor is not working. On 29-May-12, Mr Vivekananda Adhikary visited our premises and confirmed that the A.C remote sensor is not working. The service charge of Rs.395 has been charged to us and on payment, invoice number 5683 (Zen Appliance Sales and Services) has been provided to us. The site engineer has confirmed that the A.C remote will be sent by the whirlpool customer service and on receipt we need to pay the cost for the new remote.
                It has been now more than 15 days, and there is no update. Further, we have called the customer care number and your most inefficient and unprofessional customer care representatives have not been able to provide any update and abruptly disconnected the phones.
                I am seriously frustrated and need resolution to this very soon.

                    I have taken a two year contract for my whirlpool 1.5 Ton A.C. from their Kolkata office. However I am not getting proper service from them. My A.C. broke down frequently but they repaired it on temporarily basis.I think there is major fault in my A.C. and in order to save money they are repairing it on temporary basis and waiting for my contract which is going to be expired on September,2012. I am a senior citizen and unable to bear such heat and humidity . I made a service call on 08.06.2012 ,however in spite of providing service in next 24 hours no one came to my house till date. Every time I call them they said that a mechanic will go today. You are therefore requested to look into the matter and do the needful.

                      Non installation of Refrigerator

                      Last month on 28may, 2012 I bought a Whirlpool 283tr. refrigerator from great eastern baguihati which was non installed till now. I purchase the same with full of cash and they commited the same with next day installation.I was request great eastern people several time for installation the refrigerator. But no any action has taken through their end. I think it's their regular practice and they cheat with customer. So please do the necessary action as soon as possible.

                        Worst customer service with false commitments and manipulative behaviour!

                        For close to one month my washing machine has not been working post a shoddy repair job by two service engineers. A small part is not working causing the issue and Whirlpool has slipped multiple 24 hr SLA's such that here I am calling Whirlpool as a daily ritual for the past 1 week and seeing slippage after another.

                        It is not possible to get through to the second in line even at the customer service center because I have sat down holding the line for transfer to the senior sometimes for more than 40 mins!!

                        This company is the number one in worst service, pathetic product quality and manipulative behaviour.

                        Sir,

                        I purchased a WHIRLPOOL 800 V.A Inverter in 2009. After the warranty period its board became complaint. Then we contacted the Whirlpool authorized service Centre “ ACS Home Care Centre in Thiruvalla and they said stock of the board is Nil with them. We called up this people many times and the board was replaced. Again after three months, the same complaint occurred. We called up the same authorized service centre and no use. At last they gave a Company Representative’s contact number ( Mr. Trever, Mob. No.[protected]. We contacted him many times and all in vain. So we are not getting proper servicing in our area. Now the inverter is not in condition and what will be the next step. Whom shall we contact for the same? Why its always happening the same compliant and what will be a final solution?
                        So, Sir please suggest a final solution for the problem.

                        Poor electronics of Whirlpool automatic washing machine

                        Dear Sir/Madam,
                        I purchased a WHIRLPOOLerontr loaded automatic washing machine worth rs.26000 in jan 2011. After the warranty period its pvc board became complaint they came and changed the boardsame day they said mortar is not working, after six months of regular complain they came and change the board again on that day the changed pvc board is defective.still now no one has come to change.We called up the same authorized service centre and no use. We contacted him many times and all in vain. So we are not getting proper servicing in our area. Now thewashing machine is not in condition and what will be the next step. Whom shall we contact for the same? Why its always happening the same compliant and what will be a final solution?
                        So, Sir please suggest a final solution for the problem.

                        I am fed up of the performance of this washing machine which keeps bugging every month. It is obvious that this washing machine is flawed and is causing me mental harassment.
                        Whenever I tried to ask the reason of frequent malfunction from Whirlpool engineers, reply would be voltage fluctuations, hard water, etc etc.
                        I want to ask why this company fails to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. Why can’t electronic goods manufacturers become as responsible as car makers for e.g. Honda who recall thousands of cars to correct the smallest defect.

                        I hv filed a complaint fr my Washing Machine on th 15th of october & this pblm is not resolved yet.its nrly a month & every time i call they say "mam ur part is pending which will arrive tom in a vehicle & ur pblm will b resolved day aft tom, but their tom & day aft tom never ever comes.My Machine is under AMC till nxt yr bt still I was told 2 pay 50% of the amt & i still agreed since i wanted 2 get my machine repaired, bt till 2day the pblm persists. today morning also i had called bt the person in charge told me he'd call me back within 5-10mins bt i did not rcv any call fr an hr, so i called back agn & this time he said he was in a meeting wd surely call me back(that was at 12:30).now its nrly 3:00pm i am yet 2 rcv any call.i hv wasted so much money on making calls 2 different persons 2 get my pblm solved bt 2 no avail.hope that day comes soon when my Washing Machine will get repaired.
                        My daily ritual at 10:30 in the morn is to call whirlpool service centre.its bcum a habit fr the past 1 month & some people r so rude they dont even answer properly but backanswer.they keep saying we'll call back bt this call never comes.such pathetic service i hv never experienced & also poor quality as my machine had gone phut within a month of buying it.why do they make machines if they cannot make the parts available.

                            To start with I had purchased an Ac from your company some years back. It was running really nice till last year when it suddenly stopped working.

                            After contacting the service team, they after checking the Ac advised that the compressor is not working to its full capacity and advice I send the AC to the service station and they will replace the compressor. I agreed on this and they took the AC to the service centre and returned it back after 10 to 12 days. Charging mre around 3500 IR.

                            On checking the AC it was although maintaining the temperature but was creating lot of noise. On complaining, the engineer said it will be automatically reduced in some days. Unfortunately the season went by and we forgot about the same in winter.

                            This season when we started the AC it was making noise much more than last year and unfortunately after 4 to 5 days it stopped working like before. On contacting the service team, they said there is no GAS in the AC and it needs a refill. Ok we agreed on that although we said it had got repairs done last season and we hardly used it for a month or so but they insisted that we will completely fix it this time, charging me About 3000 IR. Although I had to chase up for the Ac for about 12 days for the gas to be filled and finally they installed the same.

                            This time the sound level was much higher, the cooling efficiency was poor and the AC used to trip every now and then. The AC worked on this condition for about 10 days and had the same problem again. In the mean time I had to travel for some official work out of the city and was not able to complain . I came back after 15 days and made a complain.

                            Today the service engineer visited my home and to my surprise, he is again telling that the there is no GAS in the compressor. And it needs to be sent for repairs. I don’t know how it works and what is the quality of Engineers in your team???, after filling GAS the AC only works for one week. They again want me to pay for the GAS and service charges in a months time without any fault of mine.

                            But this time I have made up my mind not to pay a single penny and instead fight for the cause and expose the inability and inefficiency of your service team bringing a bad name to the product.

                            I am going to report the case to the TOP management at whirlpool and also to the consumer form In case my concerns are not met on priority.

                              I bought whirlpool fridge in 2008. It was stopped working in last Feb 2012 & got changed the compressor ( they took 5 days to get that replaced) and now last week since Thursday again it is not working. They have to lift this fridge from may residence & get the compressor change again. So far no one has come to take fridge from my place since last Friday when they told that it is required to take this to their workshop. As per their information it will take at least two/three days in workshop to get this repaired.


                              As i asked them to provide me some alternate fridge till the time it is getting repaired. But even they do not have that.

                              Till today they have not send any body to lift this fridge & their after it is required three days to get this repaired.

                              In such a hot weather it is very difficult to handle a such a situation at home.

                                I purchased my A/C 2years back and it's hardly used for 3 months as we stay outside India except for yearly vacation, my A/C has no cooling probably due to gas leak.

                                I have been caling worlpool service centre SRM Road Ernakulam for last 3 days, Mr.Shyam is supervisor attending the calls, he has been promising to call back and send technician for several time but after 3 days also till its not fixed, when wanted to talk to manager he says he is not available/ out of station.

                                Very bad costumer care,.hope somebody responsible responds.

                                  I would like to register complaint on the poor service of whirlpool service engineers.
                                  Please note the product serial NO KRA[protected] for your reference.

                                  2 months back I requested for a reinstallation of my whirlpool water purifier and till date it has not been resolved.
                                  Today, I was assured that it will be resolved by one of the service engineer Mr. Imran and while I write this email.
                                  I am waiting for him through out this day.

                                  Here is the incidents:
                                  1. I called whirlpool care on April month for indstallation and it was assigned to service engr MR. Vel Murugan ( ph NO [protected]).
                                  I waited for three weeks and finally he turned having me waited for 6 hrs. He promised me to come up by 12 PM and turned up at 6 PM.
                                  He closed the service request with false details. He charged me 2000 RS and said the water purifier is all set.

                                  I tries many times to use the purifier the output was very very poor. I left it out for one entire night and the output is just 200 ml of water.

                                  2. On my complaint it was assigned again ti him, and he did nt turned up and again closed the request saying he changed the output pipe.

                                  3. On my other complaint and it was forwarded to escalation dept, it was assigned to Mr. Imran. He turned up at 9 PM in the night nad unfortunately there was no power.
                                  He closed it too without doing any fix.

                                  On reminding, he assured me to come at 12 Pm today and he has not turned up yet.

                                  The service is ridiculous and I understand waiting for a week or 2 week to get service.
                                  Waiting for close to 2 months, It sounds very very unfortunate.

                                  Please look at my concern with little seriousness.

                                  I have bought a washing machine from M/s Das Agencies, Palakkad, Kerala on 23.09.2008 as per their Bill No. S00375. The Number of the machine is as above. In the past one and a half years there has been frequent breakdown in the machine 4-5 times. Now, on 19th Feb, 2010 the machine broke down and I have informed your Service Centre - M/s Whole World Engineers Line, Palakkad. One of their Service Engineers came to inspect the machine and told us that the spare part was not available and the machine would be repaired once they receive the spare. Though almost 2 months have passed by the machine is yet to be repaired.

                                  About 15 days back I contacted your Service Head Mr. Surya at his mobile No.[protected] and I was informed by him that he would arrange the machine to be repaired within 2-3 days. Though 15 days has passed by nobody has come to repair the machine or any communication was given to us. I used to get in touch with your local service centre who have been saying that they are waiting for the spare. Please note that the machine is under warranty and I have been put to lot of hardships due to the non-functioning of the washing machine for the past 2 months.

                                  I am surprised to note that you are not bothered about servicing the product you have manufactured even during the warranty period. I am sure that this is the case with you only in India and definitely you cannot get away with such a poor service in other countries. It looks as if I am buying the whirlpool product, I should have a stand- by product which can be used as and when your product is under repair. When your Service Engineer attended to the breakdown they were charging Rs. 250/- per visit even during the warranty period.

                                  We request you to reply to this letter immediately and inform me the action taken and to be taken by you in this matter. On hearing from you, I shall do the needful to take this matter to the Consumer Court.

                                  In the last FIVE years, Right from the day we had bought it every THREE months we have one or more complaint. The issue will again surface after 6 months and NONE of the reported issue is RESOLVED UNTIL TODAY.

                                  I have a whirlpool Refrigerator in which i had a problem in its freezer on may-2010 and was repaired by A.S.services raipur(c.g.) for about Rs.2000. But again on 10-november it got a problem(not cooling) for which I complained to whirlpool customer's no.[protected].For this no action was taken ,again on 12-nov by calling them they told that complain no.[protected] was cancelled, while i had given the right address. And customer care also told that they will contact us in 24 hrs. Then on 13-nov i again made a call & complain no-[protected] was told. And also chhattisgarh's head Manoj's number was told but no responce was given by them.
                                  so,in this way i got a very negative responce by the whirlpool team .

                                  A whirlpool Refrigerator purchased by us has been repaired a huge no. of times and the technician says that till it is under the AMC use it and then dispose it off., but also the repairing people dont listen to our complaints, we have lodged our complaint at least 15 days ago yet our refrigerator is not yet working we threatened them to complaint to the consumer forum but they said they do not mind it.

                                  I had purchased a washing machine of whirlpool brand, model number as 123 700H, serial number as INF[protected] on November 1, 2010 in the name of my wife Smt. Deepanjali Singh, from Legend electronics, Birhana road, Kanpur.

                                  On July 4, 2013 I filed a complaint for noise in the washing machine while spinning. On july 5, service engineer came and after inspection said that tub needs to be replaced. He also asked to deposit the money INR 500 as advance for picking up the damaged machine to workshop. Receipt is attached for the same of july 5. “Appliance collection cum delivery note” was issued from the workshop i.e. Shreya Cooling Corporation, Govind Nagar, Kanpur on july 6. On july 9, concerned person picked the machine. On july 13, I got a call from workshop to deposit the cost of tub. When I went there and deposited the amount they gave me the delivery date as july 17. Receipt for the same is attached.

                                  On july 16, I called the workshop owner i.e. Mr. Surendra Kumar verma and he assured the delivery the very next day. On july 17, my wife got the call from the workshop that delivery would not be possible today and delivery can only be made after 1.5 months due to non-availability of tub. As I was out of station from july 17 to july 22, as soon as I came I went to workshop and enquired the matter.

                                  I met Mr. Surendra, owner of workshop and Mr. Raju, Manager workshop and asked them when they were not at all available with the tub, why they picked up the machine at the first place. And secondly, when I enquired them for delivery just a day before the due date, why they assured the delivery.

                                  I was told about the non-availability of tub on the due date only. And when I asked them these questions they behaved in a very un-professional manner and told me to take the machine back.

                                  The entire matter has led a lot of harassment to me and my family. Workshop people have behaved very rudely and handled the matter in a very un-professional manner.

                                  I want to bring this matter to kind attention of the concerned people at whirlpool so that they understand how these issues malign the reputation of a brand build over a long period of time after so much usage of various resources like time, money, human resources etc.

                                  I seek quick resolution to the matter.

                                    i purchased whirpool refrigarator...as in purchased for th first time i dint knew about it accesories...i get least accesories.....and its got failed to cool second time...and iam not getting services &iam asked to pay money again and again .......!calcenter people simply registrering complaints and closins the calls without service......if possible get the product back and may the payable amount....its still in warrenty...as i purchased in 2007

                                      I had registered a complaint for the Whirlpool washing machine on 1st May 2012,. It was purchased from "Great Eastern" (66, Syed Amir Ali Avenue,Kolkata-700 019, Beck Bagan) on 26th of April, VAT no. [protected] and delivered on 30th April. When the worker came to open the Product box, a defect was found in it, that is THE COVER WAS BROKEN , though it is a brand new product and I have paid the full amount of Rs. 8300/- for it.

                                      After a number of calls the Engineer came on 24th May. He noticed the defect and make a report. The defect code is [protected]. I have a photo copy of that report. He reported to the company and said that within one week I would get the defect free and fresh product. After 7 days when I called to the ISD, Mr. Chandan today, he said to wait for one week further because they don't do the replacement at the end of the month.

                                      I have fade up of calling them. The Territory Manager, Mr. Amit Das is a careless person and do not deserve the position. He always says, "wait for a week" but there is still no positive steps for the replacement has taken from them.

                                      I am much disappointed from the Whirlpool Customer Care Service.

                                      Awaiting for the delivery and replacement for the new product.

                                        We bought AC of whirpool aroudn 10 days back. Sicne last 7 days same is not working (not cooling the room). An engineer came by the name of anoop and he just checked and arranged the wires but post his going even the compressor works only for 5 minutes.

                                        We are following with your service people for last 3-4 days but nobody is coming to rectify the same. Its like we are given a old / 2nd hand AC in price of a new AC..
