Sir,

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (WhiteMagicash fully automatic) from Home Solutions Retail India Ltd, Mangalore on 24th May 2008. This machine [Serial no. INBO81705690 / [protected]] was working well till recently. In the first week of August it stopped all of a sudden. When we turn
on the switch, there will be no display at all. I placed a complaint with the Whirlpool complaints. They sent a technician to look at the machine. He opened the control panel, detached the sealed PCB and did some tests. Then the technician said the IC was defective. He said Whirlpool will not repair the PCB but
would replace it with a repaired board or a brand new board. The cost was Rs.1700 plus service charge or Rs. 2000 plus service charge, depending on whether I wanted to go for a repaired board or a brand new board. As this cost was high, I asked the technician whether I could try to repair the board locally. He
said it would be fine, since the warranty period was already over.

Later when I took the board to a local service person, he agreed to replace the defective IC (if it was available) for around Rs.1300/-. However before he took the board for repair, he pointed out that the supposedly sealed board (that stayed untouched in my machine for the last two years) had a portion where the wax was replaced. It meant that when I purchased a brand new washing machine from Whirlpool, two years ago, they had a repaired board inside my machine!

Frankly, I am shocked that a reputed company like whirlpool should use repaired or refurbished parts inside a brand new washing machine. I called up the customer care last week and communicated the same to them. They sent a techinician to look at the board. However they have not offered to repair my board. In fact I spoke to the person in charge of our district for Whirlpool. My machine is still in the defective position.

I have couple of friends who have used whirlpool machines for 7 or 8 years without any service at all. I feel the machine has developed this problem because of the repaired board. I know that technically the warranty period for my washing machine is over and the company is not under any obligation to replace the board free of cost. BUT A COMPANY LIKE WHIRLPOOL SHOULD NOT CHEAT CUSTOMERS BY SELLING BRAND NEW PRODUCTS WITH REPAIRED / REFURBISHED PARTS.

Sir, kindly look into this matter and give me a fair deal on this issue.

i had given a complaint on june 29 2012, but till now i didt got any repleay from u self, i am sending my details could u please check again, i had purchased a washing machine on june 2008 that was repaired then caompany replace the washing mission may 2009 and that is same problem and then replace amother machine but till now continue the same problem colul u please check it replace good machine

    Hello,

    I want to register a complaint against Whirlpool India for its defective product and highly unreliable customer service in New Delhi.

    We bought a refrigerator from Whirlpool last year on 27th June 2009.
    In less than one year, we started facing problem with the functioning of the product and hence made a complaint to the Whirlpool customer care Delhi. As the product was still in the warranty period, they repaired it but we never got to know what the actual problem was and how did they resolve it temporarily because after a few days it again stopped functioning.

    As the product had already given problem twice in less than an year and there was no reliability that it will not stop working again in few days, we asked them to either replace the product or extend our warranty by at least 6 months. Both our requests were denied straightaway and after consistent requests, they agreed to extend our warranty by 3 months but did not give us any written confirmation of the same even after constant reminders.

    Now our warranty period is over and the refrigerator has again started giving problem. When we tried to register a complaint to the Whirlpool customer care, they informed us that they will lodge a complaint only if we are ready to pay Rs. 350 as the visiting charges of the Service Engineer (again without any guarantee that the problem will be resolved). When we told them that our warranty period had been extended, they simply denied that saying that they had no written record for the same.

    Please help us and let us know how to take this matter further so that our problem can be resolved.

    I entered into AMC for 2 years and paid Rupees 4000/ and odd for my fully automatic washing machine during 2008 which was purchased on January 2000. During the AMC period, the service engineer attended one or two times only our report that NO ONE ATTENDED. now my machine has undergone a problem and so I contacted service centre chennai. one Ms. Banumathy has attended the call and asked me to wait for registering the compliant. but no response has been received for a long time.( ie 5 minutes ). As no reply has been received, I cut the call and again tried. That time another lady in the customer has attended the call and asked me again the full details. After noting down the complaint she also asked to wait. but no response. Again I contacted for third time. One Ms. Suganthi has attended. I told to her that i want to speak with banumathy. She said that she is busy with another call and again she asked the details. This is a poor response from whirlpool customer care and also the service. This type of behavior is very disappointing me. If this continues one to many person you may think ...
    same things is happening around the country. Because of this type of problem, I am thingking about buying a new product from whirlpool.my contact number is [protected]

      I HAVE FACE PROBLEM IN MY AC SINCE TWO MONTHS, SO LAST MONTH I COMPLIANT ABOUT MY AC TO THE RAMPUR SERVICE CENTER SHRI BALAJI REFRIGERATION & AIR CONDITION, PRABHA MARKET RAMPUR.       Whirlpool air conditioner — not working

      we have purchased a A/c Whirlpool on 22.10.2010 it has been installed after 4-5 days and found it is not working, we have given complain but no response on the same for 2-3 days then they told that the machine has to replace as they found the machine is not as per mark and should replace for replacing the machine they have taken 4 days and today we have received new machine same is not working and again they have to replace it. we do not understand what type of service and quality control system they has.

      we request we do not want any replacement as we have fed up calling company customer care service non of them giving proper reply. so we need our money back and we will go for some other product.

        I have purchased a Washing Machine - SUPER-WASH-XL A-72H made of WHIRLPOOL,on 28th of Jan-2010, my machine comes under the given Warranty Period of 1 year, one Part of my washing machine somehow get default regarding this i have made a several complaint as mention

        But no satisfactory feedback i got, every time i got the replay that "as soon part is available it will be replaced". on 2nd July-2010 i got one Telephone no.[protected] of Mr, Gautam he introduced himself as Branch Area manager, and he assured me that my problem is going to rectify within 24 working hours, but the problem remain same, on 4th & 21st of August again i call up at customer care, now i got a replay that company stops manufacturing parts of this particular model,

        Sir i request you kindly look at this matter,because the machine i bought was from the money which i earn through my handwork.

          Hi,
          It's regarding bad service provided at call center and the way they behave towards customer call reponse.
          I purchased whirlpool refrigerator on[protected] and after that i got call from your customer care center saying that service engineer visit will scheduled for our queries and they given me contact number of Mr prasad([protected]) who supposed come for giving Demo.
          So far he not yet visited but i got message saying that service ticket get closed.After that i called customer care ([protected]) to reopen the service ticket.Almost i am struggling last 3 days keep on calling customer care center and different people will receive but no response towards my queries and they will abandon my call. Even though tried to contact service engineer who will not receive my call and he will make it busy.
          Now really i am thinking why the hell i gone for whirlpool poduct,instead of I would have gone for some other product..
          I want some one to take this issue very seriously and fulfill the customer requirements.

            Sir,
            My whirlpool a/c had a problem of faulty display device. i booked my complaint on 1-5-2010 my complaint no is GB[protected],engineer came and confirmed that PCB is faulty and need to be replaced. My a/c was in warntee that expired on 10th jun 2010. i booked my complaints thereafter manytimes and reminded too but no one came to change the PCB. Now im asked to make the payment for service as well as PCB. when i booked my complaint before expiry and not serviced why should i make payment now.
            Please help.

            Whirlpool — POOR QUALITY OF MACHINE SUPPLIED

            Dear sir
            Your authorised dealer supplied poor quality of washing machine (discolouration and dent in the new machine)

            Whirlpool — Poor quality of replace PCB

            I purchased the whitemagic H 65 stainwash in 2004
            .
            In jan 2010 the machine stoppedand it was diagnosed with a defective PCB.

            It was replaced at a cost of Rs3600 by your centre in Dwarka.Now within six months the replaced PCB is defective once again.

            How did the original PCB last five /six years,four of which were in the same house.

            I want that the complaint given to your centre at your Centre Sec-8 ,Baghrela Village,Dwarka be on 28 July be actioned at PRIORITY.

            My PCB be replaced free of cost with a min guarantee of two years.

              Dear All,

              I purchased Whirlpool Front Load Washing Machine ( ASIA No WLF 82B0A0 ), Serial Number 0049108 from army canteen, Delhi.

              On 12th May 2010, I found that the machine was not rinsing the clothes, but the rest of the machine was functional.

              On 16th May, Mr. Amit from Amba Refrigeration (Whirlpool Service Station), Rohtak, inspected the machine and said that PCB Europa Classic ( Type A1 023) is not working and it is required to be replaced. The PCB was not in stock in anywhere in Haryana and ask us to arrange for the same.

              On 22nd May, we lodged a complaint in customer care request number HR [protected], but no action has been taken and and complaint was closed any visit.
              We lodged the same complaint on 1st June and 22nd June with request numbers HR [protected] and HR [protected], but every time the request had been closed without any visit.

              Continuously we are in contact with Mr Nirdosh ( SR Area Manager). Finally the PCB was arranged in last week of July, Mr Vikas from Whirlpool Service Station fixed the new PCB, but machine was stopped working. After that Mr Rajesh from Whirlpool, inspected the machine and asked to send the same to the service station. The machine sent to service station, now its motor, timer everything has been jammed, and it not working.

              Please resolve this issue.

                I purchased whirlpool double door refrigerator in 2005.
                We allready had it repaired back for its cooling problem.
                Since last few months there was big sound form the freezer fan and water leakage problem.
                First the whirlpool people replaced the fan..but no use..in next complaint they replaced the fan motor..now at least I do not get the sound but the water leakage problem is still there. Complaint No. PN[protected].
                Even after 3-4 visits the problem is not resolved. The whirlpool engineers just ask to keep the fridge off for 1-2 days .. then only the water drains ...but again after few days the leakage starts...
                Always we have fbig ood loss because of this problem...
                We have already spent about Rs. 5000 for the fridge repaire.
                Even we did not got valid response from pune head office.
                After such frustration we have decided to buy a new fridge of some other company today only.
                Also I have decided to approach the Consumer Court now for the loss of Rs. 23000(refridgerator price) + Rs.5000 (repair charges) and all the frustration caused.

                  Sir,i purchased a microwave oven on 2/7/2009 from a reputed store in chennai.unfortunately the door lock of the oven broke on 1/8/2010 and i registered a complaint on the tollfree number given in the instruction book.
                  despite repeated attempts to get the service centre to do the repairs i had no luck.then finally the manager lies that the spare part has not been obtained from Pune and it is on the way.On 8/8/2010 they send over Manoj a technician with no interest in repairing the machine who was not only rude and arrogant but was very careless in handling the equipment.this was sent by Heaven enterprises one of the service centres in chennai.he cheats us by replacing the door panel with the door of another machine which was lying in their godown and says that spare parts are not available and charges us 1250 for the" part"replaced.when we contacted the manager mr.ravikumar he promised to look into the matter and get the new spare part from pune and replace it.now we get a message on our mobile that our complaint has been closed and we are shocked at the total cheating and fraud.the person in chrge mr.wilson also tolsd manoj to bring back our door panel and he had quietly slipped it into his bag and was caught at the door by us.
                  it is only fair that the company replace the spares properly as we have paid for it and have been cheated by the company's recommended service centre.

                  Whirlpool - Microwave — Service

                  I bought a Whirlpool microwave from Whirlpool in September 2008. Within six months of buying the product, the inner sheet of the oven got burnt and the microwave vessels melted.

                  We raised a complaint with the Whirlpool Customer Serive in February 2009. The complaint was forwarded to a service centre in Trimulgherry, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

                  The engineers visited us on more than 6 occasions, but tuill date they have not replaced the inner sheet. When we called the service centre the manager there was extremely rude and said that he does not have stock and to complain wherever we wanted to.

                  The oven has been lying in the kithen just a showpice now as any Microwave Vessel that is put inside is melting off.

                  So please take strong action against the Whirlpool to get the Oven itself replaced.

                    i have purchased an airconditioner model name AVIATOR from WHIRLPOOL.
                    from the first day it is not working properly and it is totally a defected piece.when we complaint to the shop named SARGAM ELECTRONICS , SAKCHI , JAMSHEDPUR. they said that it is the matter of authorised service center.after that we have been consulting to the service center from last 3 months they are not taking any action even our AC is under warranty. the sevice person and managers are threatning us and making joke out of it.
                    the company is giving us warranty and promising many fake promises of warranty and service.
                    i hope you will take prior and immediate action against THE WHIRLPOOL SERVICE CENTRE , JAMSHEDPUR.

                      I had purchased a Whirlpool AC on 12th July 2010 from Barnala Trading co., Ludhiana vide Bill No: BTC/10-11/851 and vide product code no: WPOCL-AC-CHROME1T SPLIT( EXEMPTED) in the name of Mrs. Poonam Jhanjee . The AC's stopped working and i has lodged a complaint at their customer care vide complaint no. CH[protected]. The engineer had visited but was unable to provide the solution. I had been calling whirlpool since then but till date the problem is not being addressed.
                      I request for a immediate solution within 48 hrs otherwise i would be left with no option but to move court.

                        We had purchased a whirlpool inverter( Model ELANTRA 800VA Sine Wave Home UPS) in September'09 from an authorized dealer in Behala, Kolkata.Within 6 months of purchase the inverter stopped functioning due to some technical failure.Upon contacting the branch office in Kolkata a service engineer was sent to investigate the problem.The engineer found that one of the parts ,i.e the PCB had gone out of order.The service engineer was extremely ill mannered and arrogant.He said that the spare part was not available as there were lot of such complaints and lot of customers were in waiting .We were asked to wait till the same was received by them from headoffice.In between we had also contacted customer service head office at Delhi but we were directed to Kolkata office saying that they could do nothing in this case.We had also asked kolkata office to replace the machine or take back the defected piece and refund us the amount because it was within the warranty period.We were said that they could do nothing in this case and that we had to wait and suffer.After almost a month of suffering in April'09 and much follow ups , the engineer came back with a new PCB and replaced the same.Goes without saying that once again we had to face the same indecent, illmannered service engineer to get the machine mended.We thought that the bad time was over and that the machine would now run fine until today( i.e within another 3 months), that it has again stopped working.Upon lodging a complaint (KL[protected])today an engineer( who also needs to learn how to speak with the customers) from whirlpool came and said that the same part, i.e the PCB, needs to be replaced.He also told us that he could not commit when this could be done. We are again put into the same troublesome and painstaking situation.This product is extremeky inferior and also the service quality is pathetic.The company is also not ready to take back the inferior product and refund us the money.

                        Why don't you drag them to consumer court ? These days a lot of people are getting redress from consumer court. Please try. Don't let them go scott free.
                        I have purchased one Whirlpool Inverter 800 VA, within six month the changeover/switching from AC to inverter or Inverter to AC Supply is malfunctioning, Lodged complain through call-centre, Company franchise service personnel attended the service complain after seven days ( though company is claiming to attend the complain within 48 hours).

                        In my observation without understanding the nature of complain, the service personnel (SP) replaced the whole PCB with component kit after two days, again the same problem faced by me, after so many of efforts I have managed to replaced the Kit again.

                        In my opinion /experience Whirlpool Inverter has a manufacturing defect and doesn't have the component level service as a policy to squeeze customers financially at any extend. For example the said product I have purchased paying Rs 4000/- and the said Kit the company is asking to pay[protected]/- + Service charge. More interesting, the Kit is having a 3 month warranty, so every after 3 months there is a risk to additional burden of[protected]/- if you buy the Whirlpool Inverter. How funny it is.

                        Please note Whirlpool is not having any company service centre they are managing the show from Franchise service centre, more surprising, on your complain SP will attend according to their time, after how many days you don't know, further even if the franchise Service Center (Within your jurisdiction as per company assignment) not having competent Service personnel, you don't have the option to go for other service service franchise, all these information I have ll get from call centre allotted numbers ([protected]). customer care cell Mr. Rohit Sharma

                        Even if you wish to talk to company's personnel you don't have the option to access. Some way or other I have managed to get a mobile number of Whirlpool personnel Mr. AMIT DAS, he least bothers about the issue and force me to talk to call centre people.

                          Hello,

                          I posted a Complaint about the same product on[protected] @ www.consumercomplaints.in (same "Subject of Complaint"). I made many phone calls, as a follow-up to the initial complaint and received email from Ms. Elsy Thomas from Whirlpool, Cochin, Kerala. The Refrigerator was serviced by Whirlpool Service Engineer shortly and they made me buy a brand new Stabilizer for Rs: 1500/-. Please note that this Whirlpool Refrigerator model has been Marketed & Sold as "Stabilizer Free Operation". The Service Engineer said - Every Whirlpool Refrigerator requires a Stabilizer, no matter what the Company says when they sell you the Product!!! Is it a cheap marketing tactic???

                          EVEN AFTER I BOUGHT THE STABILIZER FOR Rs: 1500/- FROM THE SERVICE ENGINEER, THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. The service Engineer just installed the new stabilizer and vanished. None from Whirlpool bothered to give a follow-up call/email to check if the problem was resolved!

                          I waited for couple of weeks for the follow-up call/email. Then I mailed Ms. Elsy Thomas from Whirlpool Cochin (from whom I received the initial email) and informed her about the problem. I clearly stated that even after spending Rs: 1500/- on the brand new stabilizer, the Refrigerator's problems were not solved. But there was no response at all, to any of my emails!!

                          Currently there is Profuse water leak inside the Refrigerator and it's just like a Cupboard to me. I've spent over 15,000/- on this Refrigerator + Stabilizer and couldn't use it even for a month properly. I have been dealing with Whirlpool Service Dept and the Dealer (Anuradha Agencies, Bendichal buiding, Bank road, Kasaragod) for over an year, to no avail!!

                          Request you to treat this Complaint as top priority and have some one "Responsible" to look at it as soon as possible. For your easy reference, I'm pasting the initial complaint, here.

We had to call up many places and complained to the higher authorities. At last, we got it replaced from Cochin on 27th June 2008.

                          Now the freezer is not working properly. When nothing is kept in it, it is cool enough. but if anything is kept in it, it gets spoilt. this problem is there for a few months now. please rectify the problem as soon as possible

                          from past few weeks,compressor seems not working properly,i have bought from digi shoppy(hanamkonda,warangal dt,andhra pradesh) two years ago..since many times launching complaint there seems to be a negative impact.

                            My 2 Tonne window AC was taken for gas refilling on 4th August 2010 with an assurance that it would be returned in 2 working days.
                            Today after 6 dsys I have still not received. If I call call centre they have standard reply that your complaint has been registered and within 10 minutes you will receive reply fro service center.
                            THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING THAT NOW EVEN MY CALLS ARE NOT BEING ATTENDED AND NIETHER I AM BEING NUMBER OF SERVICE CENTER.

                            WhirlPool/Window AC — Window A is not working

                            I have ordered the Whirlpool window AC from Home Solutions Noida on 4/jun/2009. Specifically mentioned that i need the latest product at the same time . so there was Mr. Prem who has ensured us definitely we will provide you the Latest product but on 5/jun/2009 when we received the product. the product date mentioned on the AC was of Year 2007. So we have tried to convey this to Home solution but they said Mr. Prem is not here he has gone Ranchi and he will only resolve your problem and he will come after 2/3 days. so we do not have any other option left we have decided that we can discuss this when he will come back again.

                            After the installation of AC it started creating problem and we have made the Complaint to Whirlpool Customer care after 2 days a person has attended the AC and within 10 mins he said system is ok your room size is large so it will not work here.

                            and again when i call the external vendor for verification then we came to know there are two three coils are not working

                            So concern is :

                            1- If i have made the payment of in this month and specifically mentioned that i need the Latest Product why the home solutions Noida has send me the product of 2007

                            2- and if the product is defective then why WhirlPool is not taking action on this

                            Kindly let me know the process of proceeding further in this case with consumer forum

                            And serious action should be taken against both the vendor who had the Whirlpool agency and the Whirlpool itself .

                              Dear Sir/Madam

                              I had purchased 1 310 ltr refrigerator from Samrat Elelcronics, Sadar Bazar, Gurgaon vide invoice no 1550/30.06.2010. At the time of delivery when it as unpacked by the whirlpool service engineer the unit was found many denting works. It was registered by the service engineer Mr.Pankaj ([protected]). After the incident I am following up with various people of the company only with commitments and not the actual work. No body is willing to do any thing except the commitments. I am fraustrated with the system now.

                                Every bit of the service I got from Whirlpool is terrible. First a new refrigerator that stops working after a month of it's purchase to incessant delays in handling a service request. After a week of delay, I am told that no spare parts are available and that the new refrigerator has to be replaced. At this point, the Service Request (SR58069) is also closed though my problem is not really solved.

                                Then they mention that the color I chose is not available and they will give me one of the colors they have. When I decided to accomodate that request as well, the delivery of replacement fridge is delayed again and the way customers have to call several times to get even a basic response is really bad.

                                This kind of service from a reputed brand is utterly unacceptable. We have had to live with a workaround of switching the fridge on and off for every five hours for the last week (getting up at odd hours). I simply cannot understand how a popular brand can be so apathetic in dealing with its customers.

                                  Hi,

                                  I bought a new whirlpool refrigerator in chennai in 2008. A faulty piece was delivered which was giving continuous noise. After complaint, they replaced the fridge with another one after 5 days. This was my first bad experience. Now, in 2 years, the compressor has gone. it is not working for the past one week. The technicians visited around 4 times without proper tools for solving the problem. The supervisors are very lethargic in answering. They say 'we don't work on weekends and will come only on monday'. Already 2 monday's have gone by. Request you to solve this problem immediately.

                                  If the service is so bad during the AMC period itself, i can't imagine how poor the service will be as years go by.....

                                    I bought the aforementioned product on 8th of July, 2010. Yesterday, not even a month from the date of purchase, the unit malfunctioned and stopped working. On my complaint under warranty conditions the company sent a technician in the morning who said that the unit cannot be repaired currently due to unavailability of spare parts. I am facing a lot of inconvenience on account of having nothing to meet my refrigeration needs and food hygiene. Since then I have continually tried to contact the company for a replacement or a refund according to the warranty card which says that the company must refund my money according to current depreciation trend if adequate service is not provided. But the customer care is not letting me speak to any senior representative on account o[censored]navailability. I fail to understand how a big company like whirlpool has no senior representative to talk to its customers on a working weekday. I feel harassed by the customer service department of whirlpool , as it has wasted my entire day attending to the problem without much progress on the issue.

After using it approximately one month it appers inner crakes in the body. At once complaint was lodged at service centre.                                         I bought a whirlpool refrigerator F-410 Proton deluxe on 10 Jun 10 and within 2 months the fridge has become unservicable that is on 14 th aug 2010. On contacting the customer care on 14 evening 19:00 the response was we are closed contact in working hours. 15 th Aug tried to contact customer care again the response was disappointing as the customer care was closed because of 15 Aug. finally I could lodge a complaint on 16 morning complaint number 08100till now that is 15:30h no service engineer has even contacted me. Really disapppointing i would like to return this fridge and buy from some other firm who atleast has aproper service response.
