Hello,

Sub: Non availability of part and Poor Customer service response.
Ref: Complaint reference - CHE[protected] - Registered mobile number [protected]

I am from Chennai and this complaint is about my 4 year old Whirlpool Refrigerator (375 lit) that stopped working about 45 days back. Since there was lockdown, I was unable to reach the dealer regarding the complaint. I had lodged a complaint 2 weeks back with whirlpool and the engineer had it checked and reported a faulty PCB Board. He said the part is unavailable and will try to source it.

I waited for a week and reached the service centre once again. But, they were uncertain about the availability of the part and said it might even take more than 2 months for the part to become available. While I raised the question about how a vital part can be unavailable for 2 months, they concluded that they are not even sure if that part will be available ever and offered to buy back my fridge and I will have to pay Rs. 22, 000/- in addition for the new one.

While I know that the spare part (1 PCB Board) only costs about Rs. 3K - 4K, it's a no-brainer for me to spend beyond what it costs to get it replaced. I think it is totally unfair to suggest this to a customer, especially during this testing covid times.

Also, it absolutely makes no sense to invest on a Whirlpool product once again, since they are saying they don't have a spare part for a relatively new fridge (4 years) and expect the customer to suffer due to that. More than the money part, I feel so cheated by the attitude shown towards a loyal customer.

Whirlpool offers a warranty for the compressor for 10 years, which means the fridge stands a chance to last at least for 10 years. Hence the non- availability of the part is simply not acceptable.

Despite repeated calls and emails, still there is no proper response until this moment.

My humble request to them is to provide me with a spare fridge (ASAP) until they replace the faulty part in my present fridge. (I am more than willing to pay for replacing the part.)

    I had a complaint of gas stroking in last july people from customer care came and serviced and took rs2500/- and after 9 months same complaint and they again ask for 2500. they do defect servicing and they make sure complaint repeats and they again ask for 2500/- for this i need to wast time, money and energy with so called non responsible cutomer care.

    please resolve this issue. they cheat with different dealers.

        Dear Sir / Madam,
        I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Whirlpool Refrigerator complaint
        It's a really painful concern that you people are not able to resolve it after paying Rs 1992 for service to Whirlpool (One Touch Solutions) Address: Ground Floor. 1961, Outram line, Kingsway Camp, North west Delhi- 110009. I also contacted customer service multiple times but all in vain.
        It's almost 15 days now. The compressor is under 10 years of warranty if it was out of warranty you people would have fixed it in one or two days but Its not.
        The people whom I have contacted are a bunch of liars and they make fun of it and threaten to return the money which I paid them for service. Now it's gone off my head. I am also consulting with my lawyer as well.

        I want compressor to be sent at the earliest as Its almost 15 days now
        I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account.

        They said very casually that they will replace it once they get the compressor but they promised it within 5 working days. It's more than 15 days now.

        I spoke with Hari Shankar from escalation team Whirlpool customer service and he said, this gonna take a week more. two days ago I again spoke with senior Tech Team person from Whirlpool (One Touch Solutions) and he said this will take 2 to 3 days more. No idea what exactly happening whether they are willing to resolve it or not. they might take one month to resolve my small issue. It's really awful. please help me to resolve this and teach them a big lesson.

        Today, I spoke with Deepti ([protected]) from Whirlpool and she said that she was not aware of the entire issue and she found the complaint regarding Gas only. She said, let me check the availability of compressor if it's available, will be done today.
        I personally would like to stat that they should bear some amount of penalty so that they could not do this with anyone. I come across many of such incidents in past customers gone through for more than 2-2 months and no actions was taken.
        Again I sent another email to CEO Arvind Uppal for a live debate in front of media but he did not reply.
        I will not leave him till I get a response from him (arvind.[protected]@whirlpool.com). This is required for the improvement in their services.

        Today, I have sent an email to [protected]@indiatvnews.com and [protected]@indiatvnews.com INDIA TV to highlight the same issue. Again I received a call from One Touch Solution Whirlpool and I spoke with the same Tech and asking for two days but I know he is a liar, he has been saying this for last 17 days. He is most senior tech there.

          There are series of Malpractices i am encountering with Whirlpool

          My Refrigerator stopped cooling. It is a three year old one.
          I raised a complaint(Ref # MAD[protected]) on Monday(14th June)
          Whirlpool claims that within 2 hours we will receive a call and within 24 hours a service personal will attend.

          Above two did not happen. It happened only after repeated follow ups.

          The Whirlpool service engineer came (Wednesday 16th June )and investigated and said that there is a leak in the cooling coil. The cooling coil appeared very new.
          He stated that the coil used is an aluminium one.

          Forgery 1--(Whirlpool Uses cheap parts)
          Whirlpool have used a cheap coil. It should be a copper coil.
          He also said Whirlpool never gives this information in the product descriptions.

          He said the coil needs a replacement and it will be a copper coil this time.
          He quoted a whooping amount of Rs 4900(coil + gas recharge) + service charge Rs. 411.

          He said that the next day he will come with part and replace the part

          Forgery 2--(Getting money in the name of service charge without completing the service)
          He collected the service charge of 411 on the day of visit stating it is companies policy that he has to collect the service fees even the service is not completed.

          When i call the customer care they say that service engineer cannot collect service charge without completing the service.

          The service technician did not appear on the next day. After calling the manager, he said the part has not arrived. He also assured that the technician would come the following day.

          The technician did not appear the following day.(Friday 18th June)

          Forgery 3.(Closing the complaint without customers consent)

          After repeated calling and failed attempts to connect to the manger i called the customer care. To my surprise my complaint(Ref# MAD[protected]) was closed without my consent.
          Also they have marked as issue fixed.

          Now i had raised an another ticket(Ref# MAD[protected]) today(Saturday 19th June at 1pm)

          Still now (9:30 Pm) no-one even contacted me from Whirlpool.

          Whirlpool please ditch your SLAs and remove them from your websites if you cannot adhere to it.

          The Technician visited yesterday. Thanks for acting on the complaint.

          However, I am not convinced with the service. They have replaced the cooling coil but not like original stock.

          1. They have charged me an additional Rs 700 from the original estimate for some copper pipe.
          2. they have drilled my freezer compartment to take this copper pipe out to weld it to the cooling coil
          3. Now the so called silent fridge started making haunting noise.
          4. All the pipes are exposed now and I fear it might get damaged soon.

          Maybe it is a temporary fix at a cost of Rs 6011.

              Honestly as I experienced I'll rate Whirlpool less than 1 star because Whirlpool has worst Service and Customer care. They people don't have proper training to co-operate with customers or can say, there is no CRM in Whirlpool.They will argue with you and hyperbole about their products. Their false promises will never come true. Purchasing any electronic product from Whirlpool is total wasting of our valuable money. Every person, related to Whirlpool, from sales point to sales/area manager, have indulged into fooling customers by making wrong interpretation of customers concerns.
              I bought a new refrigerator 260 IMPRO 245L in April 2021. My Refrigerator stops working within a month and gave me a lot of mental pressure and unnecessary extra time to get it back proper customer service. and now it is still struggling to behave normally. I am feeling as its performance is far bad in compare to my another Kelvinator refrigerator which is 10 yrs old, while this new one was told as latest SMART fridge.
              Shame on you Whirlpool!!!

              Is this platform worthy to share grief and sorrow of customers? I have not been getting any kind of help since complained. Either Whirlpool thinks itself beyond any regulatory or this platform has created to make fun of customers' problems. Almost 1 month have passed and they people don't think to look into this matter.                 Bought Whirlpool double door refrigerator on 21st March 2021. Within two months o[censored]sage I got cooling issue. I was complained about this to Whirlpool customer service on 30th May 2021. After 10 days service person visited and confirmed that compresser should be replaced. With in two months o[censored]sage I got this issue. I lot trust on Whirlpool and I'm not happy with the fridge delivered to me. I want refund of my product. I lost faith on this Whirlpool product and service. Worst of you Whirlpool.

                Replace my product immediately. I don't have patience any more. I didn't use my refrigerator atleast for sixty days. Whirlpool should feel ashamed of supplying defective product to customer. What about the quality standards of your product? What quality assurance you are providing to customer. How can we trust brand Whirlpool. I don't have patience to listen your concern, I should get response from higher official regarding my product replacement. You don't make me to reach the consumer court.

                  I purchased this refrigerator trusting 2 brands. One is Whirlpool and other is Croma. I do understand there can be issues with electronic products. If a product is causing major function issue within 4 months of purchase, then there is issue with Product. With such huge amount paid for a product we do not expect a names company to have defected or damanged product. As a customer I need a replacement of my fridge. I am not asking for refund. As I still trust the brands and consider that company will take responsibility for their proudct.

                      My refrigerator cooling is not working and product is ~8 years old.
                      I called the customer care and they told like person will visit next day and technician will call you,

                      For past 2 days I called them and they are saying same that technician will contact you.

                      Its very bad I am struggling a lot with the company people after service.

                          We have Purchase Whirphool Double door refrigerator in Nov'20. now it is creating malfunctioning and all are items which we store in fridge is destroyed within 24 hrs. so we called service engineer, he came and examine the working and he found cooling problem it is not adequate.so he raise complaint for replacement . but we asked for Refund.
                          As we have lost our interest in this brand . service engineer offered 3 models and asked to choose we denied but our request for refund is not acceptable to company. we need your support for refund processing .

                            I purchased the refrigerator(Whirlpool 265 L 3 Star Inverter Frost-Free Double Door Refrigerator (INTELLIFRESH INV CNV 278 3S, Wine Flume, Convertible)) on October 2020, it was ok for 6 months. post we started experiencing all things kept inside the fridge was getting spoiled, we initially didn't realize it was defective fridge but each and every product was getting spoiled. After we checked the fridge cooling it was not working. Raised complaint with Whirlpool on 27th May but they said as it's lockdown we can't Provide service. (But as a customer, even I am undergoing a lockdown situation where vegetables and other edible things won’t be easily available, we have to keep stock. But the fridge is not working due to which every day we need to keep running around stored to get the things).
                            I asked the Service center to help me with the engineer number so that I can call and get a few basic steps which can be followed to fix the issue for the time being, but no one was available even for the guidance.

                            I wrote a review on the whirlpool site for which I had been arranged with the engineer the very next day.

                            But that engineer came and suggested to keep the refrigerator turned off for 24 hours and to pour warm water in the freezer so that it gets passed by through the pipes and reaches the back of the fridge. Tried that, but now even the freezer has stopped working after pouring warm water in the freezer.

                            Now when I reach the service person who has reached my premises, he asked me to wait for the lockdown to finish, only post lockdown further checks will be done.

                            So requesting to kindly help me with the issue fix, as the basic functionality for which i had payed is not been fulfilled.

                            The lifespan of the product has reached less than 6 months, is this the standard of products that have been used in the manufacturing of whirlpool products.

                            It's been more than 15days that we are following up with customer care :[protected],
                            Even after reaching to management via escalation matrix there is no responsible commitment.

                            When there is a need for your service you failed to fulfill it, where your company product has failed to perform it's basic functionality.

                            and you guys are refusing to provide service even after complaining.

                              I am constrained to express my displeasure and resentment at the supply of a defective refrigerator by whirlpool india . I bought BMR double door Whirlpool Refrigerator of 325 litres in January 2021. The refrigerator didn't give me a trouble-free and satisfactory service even for a few days. The main trouble started in the freezing section of the refrigerator. After an irritating service for a couple of days, it stopped working all of a sudden. It also started making an unbearable and irritating sound. We have been calling and contacting the company for last 5 months. But we have got no satisfactory response. The area manager starts yelling. Always we have got the rude response from their side. Also everytime we call them, they are continuously manipulating us by giving new date to transfer the refund. We are suffering since January. We have no Refrigerator that can o[censored]se with us. Plus we have no funds to buy another refrigerator. We faced a loss of items worth rs 2000, kept inside the fridge. We are suffering this inconvenience for last 5 months. And company is using our funds and even not passing the refund. We are frustrated with whirlpool service. They are just asking us to wait. Since march they are just promising us to pass refund. We are helpless now. Seeking to get response from the forum.

                                The issue is I received my Washing Machine on 2nd June from Flipkart. I received a call
                                from the installation team that they won't come to install as my address is
                                very far from their office. I raised a concern with the customer care team
                                who falsely assured that the installation would be done by 8th June 2021. No one called or came for installation.

                                Then I called them again on 8th June 2021, they are now giving me a new date i.e. 10th
                                June 2021. Again, no one called or came for installation. Sheer negligence.

                                Also, they just close the service request number by updating false remarks.

                                Above that, I cannot cancel the order and request for refund since it's an
                                issue with the installation.

                                      I have been having unpleasant experiences from Whirlpool customer care support.

                                      Concern is with an unsatisfactory service along with an non acceptable product

                                      Washing machine loses it's balance while spinning and falls over. This is a customer safety issue. Wasn't it Whirlpool's responsibility to address?

                                      Whirlpool customer care team has failed to take up the ownership and i am left with no choice but to approach you

                                      Customer satisfaction is the key to drive the business and Whirpool should relook to create a value added service center

                                      Also if my query is still left unanswered i may have to further relook into consumer protection law for defect in goods and deficiency in services

                                        Last February I called up whirlpool customer service center about the problem of washing machine in Kolkata. Prabhu Roy was the mechanical engineer came and said that PCB was damaged and need to replace PCB. He said that the cost was Rs 5600 including service for Whirlpool PCB. He also suggested to buy Universal PCB from him and it would function same as original PCB, cost would be Rs 3500.

                                        As per his suggestion I agreed to purchase Universal PCB from him and he replaced whirpool PCB.

                                        Unfortunately the Universal PCB did not work like whirlpool PCB what he suggested. Since then I facing lot of problems like water is overflowing, can wash only 1/3rd of cloth at a time compared to whirlpool PCB, the cloth is torn sometimes because it is spinning too first.

                                        I called the engineer several times but he didn't come here to look the issue.

                                        My question is why he recommends to use wrong PCB other than whirpool PCB. Is it his personal benifit to sell Universal PCB?

                                        Kindly ask the engineer Prabhu Roy(Mobile: [protected]) to replace the original PCB and reimburse the damage what was made by Universal PCB.

                                        Please let me know for any clarification.
