I purchased a Whirlpool AC on 23rd Feb 2019.
It took one week and several complaints to get someone from Whirlpool to come for installation. After the technicians spent one full day working on the AC (and charged me Rs. 4, 000 for material required for this installation), they told me that there was "some issue" with the AC, and that we should not use it. They said that they would return after 2 days and fix the problem. No one came for another week - After making repeated complaints to Amazon (seller) and Whirlpool, they came again, and this time, disconnected all wires and pipes and said that the item was defective, and that Whirlpool would replace it within 3-4 days. I reported this to Amazon immediately. However, for 10 days, no one came. When I contacted the technician's manager, I was told that it would take 2-3 days more. When I contacted Whirlpool, I was informed that the item was out of stock, and that they would replace it with a 1 ton AC, but for that I would need to pay more, as that was a latest model. When I refused, I was told that the management would call me in 1.5 hours, to offer a discount and other options. This was more than 2 weeks ago. I called Whirlpool 3 times when I did not hear back from them, and on the third occasion, was transferred to the "Escalation team". The lady (Surya) told me the following:

A. "It is not our fault that you received a defective AC, it is 'Amazon's fault' that they sold you a defective item"
B. When I asked her to send this over email so that I could seek refund from Amazon, she refused. When I said that I wanted this discussion for my records, Surya's response was "This call is already being recorded, so this is on record". When I said that I would need a copy of the call recording, she got flustered and informed me that a technician would call me within 2 hours to sort out the issue.

I have received no call from a technician. I am aware that an email was sent to Whirlpool by the person who installed my AC with a report stating that the AC is defective and needs to be replaced (This was told me by a Whirlpool service center person - that call too should be on their records). I requested Whirlpool customer care team, over email dated 29 March 2019, to send me this email or job sheet at the earliest, confirming that the AC is defective so that I can apply to Amazon for a full refund. It took 5 days and repeated reminders for Whirlpool to send me this job sheet, but since the AC has not been uninstalled, Amazon is unable to collect it and issue refund. I have tried calling Whirlpool and emailing them on several occasions, but have received no response, except the fact that my issue has been escalated and that technician from service team will visit soon to provide options.

I have waited for a functional AC, for which I paid Rs. 25, 000, for one and a half months, and spent additonal Rs. 4, 000 out of my own pocket for installation, but I still have no functional AC. Whirlpool is now refusing to respond to my emails, and when I call, they place my call on hold until the call gets disconnected.

    I purchased a whirlpool 245 l frost free double door 2 star refrigerator on 28th march 2019. The freezer compartment door is not closing properly and opens by itself and cooling in freezer compartment is very poor. I had complained to the installation technician during installation. But, he is very rude and refused to listen to me. I then complained to flipkart and they assured replacement after technician inspection. The same technician visited and after one day i received a communication from flipkart that whirlpool has refused to do anything about this defect and now nobody is willing to speak to me. What should i do with this defective refrigerator even though it is in warranty period?

      I have got many calls from whirlpool for amc purchase from whirpool service. Centre. There have informed that there will be 2 free service although it was not mentioned in website. I have asked customer care executive, she told that its not updated in website and i assure that you will get two service and this will be mentioned in amc. After amc purchase, i called whirlpool customer service, they told only one service will be free. Earlier i was willing to purchase amc, i purchase based on assurance for two service.

        Hello,

        My whirlpool washing machine is under the warranty scheme of 2 years. I have complaint 5 times in last 1 year. Every time engineer will come and make some changes. But this time machine is not working at all. Whirlpool engineer said, it will not work now, we will send you, new machine. Now they are asking me 20% money for it. Why should i pay the 20% money for the faulty product of whirlpool? My complaint id on whirlpool customer care is gb[protected].

        I really feel cheated from a company like whirlpool. How can they promise in their advertisement about the 2 years warranty of the product when they are not rectifying the problem of the customer. As per the scheme they will either repair or replace the product if its faulty in first 2 years.

        Now they are blackmailing me for 20% of the amount. They told me sent them dd first then only they will send the new machine.

        This is how whirlppol cheat their customer.in the advertisement, they said something else and in reality they are asking for money from the customer. They should show that they will charge money for replacement (If their product is faulty in first two years) as well in their ads and brochure when a customer purchase their products. Why do they lie to the customers?

        Is this the ethical way of doing business? I request consumer care team to help me out from this cheating of whirlpool corporation.

        They will send technician & will charge for it Rs. 400+...It's company money making tactics...first provide worst product...charge hefty for visits in the name repairs...never repair giving invalid reasons & charge again for visits...Surprisingly, , , , , that too in warranty period...Best thing is to throw Whirlpool product & go for some good brands...

          My issue is not resolved by the Whirlpool. I have booked the complaint on 16th March.
          My ticket id is GB[protected].

          Whirlpool team have not contacted me till now. And i have just received the mail from Whirlpool that they have closed the ticket. They did not even contacted me.

          How can they close the ticket with out resolving the problem of the customers.

          I request consumer forum team to help me out against this fraud of Whirlpool.

          I have booked the complaint on 16th March 2019. Its been more than 1 month. But still Whirlpool is not rectifying my problem. Every time their people say they will replace it. But then do not call back and not solving my problem.

          This is really a harassment of Customer from Whirlpool.

            Hi whirlpool,

            I purchased whirlpool fridge in 2007. There is no or very less cooling in the refrigerator since january 2019. I had called whirlpool service center, they changed the compressor of the fridge and charged us rs 7500 including service charges (Rs 6500 for compressor and rs 1000 as service charge). Still the fridge having issues with cooling. We have paid a lot and in return want better service.

            Now its april, 2019, i am very much troubled with the whirlpool service.

            We are calling the service center on regular basis but the center is not responding to calls.

              In my washing machine water leakage problem was there. I contacted your customer care for repair on 12th march 2019. Service center person came and told it will take 7, 272 rs and problem will be fix. I will take washing machine to my service center. He harassed me about 1 month and i complaint/follow up multiple time then he returned my machine with very temporary fix.
              Service center person gave quick demo and shown issue has been resolved and took complete amount and went.in my 1st wash water leakage again started and machine started showing error. That person not picking up my phone. Even service center person not giving proper answer. Only telling you will receive call in next 2 hrs. But still waiting.

                Bought new product on 24th Feb 2019 which hardly worked for 1-2 weeks.
                Followed up with technical who installed but in vain no productive response. Then raised request, technician visited and arrived to issue of gas need to fill.

                Other technician visited and identified no gas issue its pcb issue. Almost wasted 40 days but still issue not resolved and not proper communication from Whirlpool. Daily I call customer care and ask for update. standard response technician will call after 11 but no call received yet for replacement.

                Still same. Got call from whirlpool head office confirmed on 4th April they are going to deliver the replacement product in 2 days. But no communication and update on product delivery. After that continuously following up by calling customer care but no clarity or proper information on delivery.

                Really very bad experience from whirlpool. Bought product on 24th Feb and still suffering from extreme summer due to whirlpool improper service management system.

                  My worst experience ever with whirlpool product. The poor quality compressor motor failed within 13 month of purchase. Though it comes with 120 months warranty, the service agency is demanding rs. 5000 to fix the problem. It has been 11 days, the matter was even raised at their head office but nobody is ready to offer a solution. I am just hanging between local service agency, area service manager, customer care, and head office customer support team.

                  My suggestion to new consumers, never buy this model of whirlpool refrigerator.

                      We have purchased the machine in november 2016,
                      the problem started in the month of october 2018 .we had called upon the service person who had charged us 5000 for changing a the drainage motor, bearing and drainage sensor in the month of december .the machine broke down once again and once again we had called upon the service person .and he said that we had to pay a huge amount of 4000 to get it repaired to change a few parts. but the machines total cost is 11000 .we are literally supposed to pay two third the entire amount for which we bought the entire machine.its taking a toll of 4000 every time it breaks down but still we we are given no guarantee the machine will work properly. we are regretting having bought the machine.

                        We have bought a 9.5kg washing machine in January this year(W/M TL 9.5KG 360 BE PRO-H GRP) through Croma.

                        We are most dissatisfied with the wash quality.

                        Firstly the water doesn’t fill and submerge the clothes fully despite trying all different options. So the detergent does not get rinsed properly.

                        Secondly the clothes come out completely knotted. It seems they are being pulled apart!

                        Nobody seems to respond to our complaints. Please have someone knowledgeable contact us.

                        Earlier the machine stopped working completely and a whirlpool technician came and reset some electronic card. The whole experience has been very irritating.

                        We had a whirlpool machine since 2003 and it worked well, no knotted clothes and no residual soap.

                        Dear sir,

                        This is to bring to your notice that the previous complaint has not been resolved as yet. All that happened was that one Jasvir Singh came and got us to sign a form where we again mentioned all the problems and he left. (Copy attached)

                        Now the machine is malfunctioning; not spinning the clothes adequately on a regular cycle and there is a smell of electric burning from the machine. So from a badly working machine we now have a non working machine. I am surprised how your people are saying that the complaint has been resolved!

                        I have had a Whirlpool washing machine before this and I was satisfied enough to buy the same brand. However, the new machine is not working properly since the very first wash and I am really disappointed with the quality of your service.
                        Please resolve this issue, or take back the machine. I do not wish to have to resort to anything else.

                          I bought 6.2 kg fully automatic top load washing machine in aug 2015. After 3.5 years suddenly there is heavy noise in rinse and spin cycles.

                          I called whirlpool customer service and scheduled a visit. The technician examined the washing machine and said the problem is with the bearing. The gear system with bearings needs to be replaced. As the warranty period has ended, it will cost around rs. 5800/-

                          It is almost one third of the washing machine cost. He said this is very normal with whirlpool machines. If this is the way and we need to pay one third the cost of new machine for repairs of bearing then this is totally bad product.

                          I will advise to avoid whirlpool washing machines. I was planning for upgrading to front load in a year. Now whirlpool is out of the shortlisted brands. Lucky that i became aware of this problem with whirlpool before buying my front load washing machine.

                          Avoid whirlpool washing machine even if it is cheaper a few thousands as compared to other brands.

                          Our washing machine was repaired and replaced for a motor and display very recently by end of January and mid of February. Few days back fire sparks started emerging from it. We have been calling customer care many times but nobody turned up for the service. its almost a week or so.

                            I regret buying washing machine from whirlpool, back to back this machine is troubling since february, after every check up each engineer gives different reasons.. They are harassing me forcing me to spend more money on washing machine which is under warranty,
                            The machine cost is inr35000 already, spent on machine’s belt, on someother things as well after spending this much why would i spend more? If i didn’t get my machine repaired i will take a legal action against this company for charging more money under warranty time.

                              Whirlpool is playing worst services in market,

                              Our washing machine was repair, so i rise a complaint, service advisor came and attended the complaint on 25/2/2019 and he charged 8000rs, but it's not working,

                              He said, i we don't have some spares. I ll get u in 2 days, almost 1 month is finished, no response from him.

                              This is very irresponsible form company side.

                              I feel very sad to complain again and again on same issue, i have been addressing my issue 21th time in this month. No service men responds well, even after i paid a service charge of 8000 my problem not resolved yet. I gave complaint to customer care 4 to 5 times. Every day i calling to service men and manager . I was fed up complaining again and again on same issue, but no response from your end. As a customer i was very unsatisfied with your services. Is this value you give to customers. Is this the way you treat customers. From past 2 month my washing machine was not working. Even now i called customer care service and service person. Still yet no response. Awaiting a quick response.

                              They will send technician & will charge for it Rs. 400+...It's company money making tactics...first provide worst product...charge hefty for visits in the name repairs...never repair giving invalid reasons & charge again for visits...Surprisingly, , , , , that too in warranty period...Best thing is to throw Whirlpool product & go for some good brands...

                                I purchase a Whirlpool Front loaded Washing Machine. Model No. SUPREME CARE 7014 Serial No. ITD[protected] Date 19/08/2017. I exhausted to do complaint again and again. There are many problems Stop Problem in between Washing, Not Working, Leaks.
                                Problem started at that when i purchase the machine. I do complaint many times. but this time i go with consumer forum.

                                  I am using fully automatic washing machine and my machine is under and within warranty period. I have lodged a compliant on 25/02/19 as the upper lid had been detached from the hinge. Two mechanic visited the place and fixed the lid with some locally purchased adhesive tape. They have been told that the tape is not fixed and that was not proper tape for the heavy lid but they refused to acceed my request and asking for service charges for rs 1000/- for two person plus rs 100/- for tape charges. But i have instructed from customer care center that only rs 140/ has to be given for mishandling charges only nothing else as machine is under warranty period. On 13/03/19 the same problem again arise and lodged a compliant at service call center [protected] but till date no representative has visited to resolve the issue. I have called for reminder on 14/03/ and 15/03/19 but no one contacted so far.
                                  It is pertinet to add that ai am your customer since 02.01 2001 and using your product since that time i. E semi auto machine and refrigerator etc but i have never faced such type of irresponsible service from your side earlier. I have also contacted mr raunak your area manager of himachal but no response has been received from him also. Kindly resolve the issue otherwis i am compelled to take up the matter in consumer court.

                                  I have a Issue with my washing machine that the tub is not spinning . The service man visited and just drained the water from it and it started working... He did not opened a single screw or had done any repairs and demanded for 140 rupees as mishandling charges.. and my washing machine is in warranty period and just 6 months old ... Is this the service are you providing whirlpool ... Why should I pay 140?? Even after the machine is in warranty...
                                  I think that I had done a big mistake by choosing your brand ..
                                  You should be ashamed on the service you're providing and demanding money..

                                    Hi,
                                    I am writing this complaint because of the sufferings i have gone through after registering my complaint. Your service team took my machine and till now they didn't respond. I have registered this complaint on february - 2nd. Mainly it was making too much noise during washing. So i thought to fix it. Please find the series of events happened

                                    Feb -2 - i registered the complaint in whirlpool customer care
                                    Feb-5 - one of your service person came to my home on feb-5 and told that he has to take this machine to your service center
                                    Feb-11/ feb-12 - your team came to my home and took my machine. I specifically told them that they have to check and let me know how much cost will it take. Based on that, i have to take my decision. They didn’t respond also.
                                    Feb-16 - i called to the service center. They told that the windings have to be replaced and they will provide my machine on feb-18 or feb-19. They didn’t give the machine
                                    Feb-21/feb-22/feb-23 - i called many time to this service center and they didn’t attend my call or else they were busy
                                    Feb - 26 - i called again to whirlpool customer care. They have told that they will check and will call me back after they have escalated to service team
                                    Feb-28 - since i didn’t get any call back, i have again contacted your customer care and your customer care executive checked with service center and told me that everything got fixed and they will return my machine within 48 hours
                                    March - 04 - since i didn’t get my machine and your team didn’t respond, i called again your customer care and they told that they will check and call me back. The same thing happened on march -06
                                    March -09 - i called again your customer care and i explained all these. He told that he will connect me with his supervisor within half an hour and i didn’t get any response
                                    March -11 - i again called your customer care and this time the service person (Ansib) told that he will connect with the supervisor. But he also didn’t connect.

                                    Now please return my machine. I don’t want to go with whirlpool. I am exhausted with your service. I called every time your service center and customer care and waited whatever time they have mentioned. Now i don’t have to wait. I don’t want to use any whirlpool machine. Give me back my machine. I will replace it with some other washing machine.

                                      I received a call from whirlpool and informed about the amc plans that if i take now 1year amc plan, i would be getting 3 months extra at no extra as the offer is going on. Based on the provided information, i opted for 1 year+3m and paid the specified amount by credit card on the link given. But i received a letter addressed from mr. Anish ahuja for 1 year amc. Initially i sent an email for which i received a reply has been received

                                        In february my machine stopped, i called costumer care they, their mechanic visted, he told me the belt is broken and for betterment install water softener i agreed he said he will be back with the products since then now one came iam calling them and they are saying they dont have products available? What this means now? This is harassing! If i will not get my machine repair as soon as possible i will take further legal action.
